Same Same Wine Bar

What a fun wine bar! The space is warm and inviting, like a neighborhood place. Service was great! My server was friendly and had great recommendations. I really enjoyed the Same Same Sprtiz. I had no idea a pickle slice would make a drink perfect. The wine selections and interesting and different than what you typically find. On to the food. We started with the shrimp toast. Wow was it good. Decadent and flavorful. We split the large KFC - fried chicken wings and drumsticks with great housemade sauces. I am not great at eating fried chicken on the bone, but this was so good I made it happen. If you’re hungry, the large is a good portion. The Chinese broccoli was quite tasty as well. We had a great dinner at Same Same Wine Bar and would go back.

Incredible 10-stars addition to the theater district/Hell's Kitchen area that has long been needed! Pre-show, post-show, after work week night, date night, Sunday afternoon snowy day - it is perfection for any occasion! Everything from the people who run it and ambiance to the wine and food options is exceptional. The ambiance is the perfect balance of cozy, comfortable and elegant. They have great bar seats, high tables for 2 and slightly bigger booths/tables. Probably one of my favorite by the glass wine list in New York where the team focuses on the highest quality, delicious and affordable (all are less than $20) wines from the regions and varietals outside of your typical sauvignon blanc, chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon (no offense to those, of course ;)). A beautiful sparkling wine from Hungary, bright but structured Grenache Gris from South Africa and absolutely stunning Pais/Cinsault red blend from Chile by the Garage Wine Co (exceptional producer that's unfortunately hard to find in the US). We haven't gotten to trying their cocktails but they looked great (excited to go back). As for the food - we tried the beef tartare that came with sweet potato crumbles on top and the shrimp toast (fresh and rich at the same time) - both exceptional. The people who run Same Same and work there are so welcoming, friendly and accommodating (and so knowledgeable about the wines). This is truly one of the best spots that opened in New York in the past year. Can't wait to go back soon.

Wine bar owned by the same folks as Monkey Thief. Great selection of interesting cocktails and wine. I had the americano and grapefruit highball and both were amazing. Fried chicken and chinese broccoli were perfect shareables! No notes, I love this place!!!

I'm already a big fan of Sama Street and Monkey Thief, so I was super excited with they came back with SameSame (though it's too bad Monkey had to close bc of one bad apple business on the street). These guys know how to create standout drink and food programs. And their design sense is unique and edgy, making each iteration continue stand out in a crowded restaurant marketplace. As always, the service is impeccable. You can tell these are seasoned restaurateurs.

Same same is extremely chic and the food is creative and delicious.There is great wine list, as well as a cocktail list of drinks made from wine and apertifs. Great for a pre-show snack or a post-Broadway night cap.

Even though it's a wine bar, they have really good cocktails as well. Can't go wrong with those while munching on the KFC and shrimp toast!

Classic and chic wine bar. Even though their by the glass list is small, they did a great job at curating a list of wines that were unique and filled with flavorful notes. For food, we ordered the scallop carpaccio, beef tartar, pommel dauphine, shrimp toast and cavatelli. Food was good but the service, wine, and atmosphere is what will bring me back here.

Cute ambiance from the location of monkey thief as they're moving locations. The staff is friendly but for a wine bar only having 6 available choices is extremely limiting. Hopefully they expand their selection to actually stand out from the other wine bars in the area.

Loved the ambience and service here. I'm not much of a wine drinker, but they had so many options that I didn't know about and really loved. Come before they blow up!

I was a fan of Monkey Thief and was pleasantly surprised to see the new iteration as Same Same wine bar, innovative wine and apertiv based cocktails, attentive service and great snacks without losing that still the same cheeky fun vibe as Monkey Thief. I would definitely recommend popping by and spending some time at Same Same

Created a yelp account just to leave a review. This place is incredible hands down. We came here after a broadway show and it hit the spot. Service was really friendly and definitely get the shrimp toast. They are getting a full wine list soon which I'm excited to try!

Same Same is an instant favorite. The shrimp toast is crispy and flavorful, the tartare is fresh and perfectly seasoned, and the flatbread is so good it's hard to stop eating. Their wine program is outstanding, with a thoughtful list and great recommendations. Flawless service, too! Fantastic food, great vibes -- can't wait to return.
