The Much-Hyped Sammich Sandwich Truck Is Opening Next Week - Eater Seattle

"One of Oregon’s most popular sandwich-slingers is slated to establish a permanent Seattle outpost on Thursday, when the Sammich food truck at Project 9 Brewing opens for business. Owner Melissa McMillan started Sammich in Ashland, Oregon, before opening locations in Portland and Lebanon. Her mini empire is built on meat, namely McMillan’s pastrami, which Eater Portland has described as “beautifully tender, rich, and aromatic.” She also has brought Chicago’s trademark Italian beef to the Northwest, and reportedly makes a mean hamburger as well. Sammich’s food truck at Project 9, the first permanent location outside of Oregon, has been sitting in the parking lot for weeks, as if to taunt Seattle’s sandwich obsessives. McMillan tells Eater Seattle that it was a slow process to get the proper permits, especially the required insignia from the state. But pending a health inspection Wednesday, McMillan plans to open the truck on Thursday, May 4. The Seattle menu won’t be substantially different than what Sammich usually sells, and neither will the attitude." - Harry Cheadle

I love the texture of the meat. Wasn't dry after sitting neither was the sub bun!! I hope all my tri met people have the experience. Just let the attendees know at the stand you are bus hopping! Probably the best sandwiches I’ve ever had and best zombie fries or poutine style fries with bunch of veggies and meat. They are a crowded meal the zombie fries but absolutely delicious. The sandwiches are filling but not in bad greasy way.

So preface haven't has a sandwich. Had Daburger as I heard it was amazing. Sadly it wasn't. To much burger sauce made the over use of shredded lettuce a messy hand bomb. The patty was met with no flavor. The bacon wasn't crispy and barely cooked. No ketchup for the fries or burger. The bu fail apart maybe due to being soaked in sauce. The staff was friendly and nice even though they forgot my bacon. Overall not impressed and the person who recommended gets one star and crossed off my list as a trusted person of taste.

A solid choice at the Heist food cart pod. Each of the cold sandwiches have been delicious so far. The zombie fries are generous and filling, especially considering the price. Only recommendation is that they should stock hand sanitizers like the 10+ surrounding carts.

The Chicago Italian beef was delicious and the service was great! Just fyi, If you sit in the back of the food cart area your buzzer they give you won't work. The nice lady from the cart brought it out to me.

You guys, seriously, do yourself a favor and get the Italian beef. Whether you like it dipped or with your juice on the side (like me) you’ll be seriously satisfied. This is easily the best Italian beef I’ve had in Portland. The price for the sandwich and a side of fries came out to $19. The beef is thinly sliced, and the bread is soft and fresh with a little crunch. My only gripe would be the amount of peppers. Service was great!
