17 Bodacious Burger Destinations in Seattle

"Parked outside Project 9 Brewing in Maple Leaf, Sammich is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, though you’ll have to wait for noon to get “Da Burger.” This juicy burger comes doubly blessed with both Swiss and American cheese, along with onions, burg sauce, and most notably a huge pile of finely shredded lettuce. Possible add-ons include pastrami and bacon, though we recommend a second beef patty. And speaking of beef, Sammich’s Chicago Italian beef sandwich is a winner, complete with sweet peppers, giardiniera (worth trying on the burger!), and beef juice (dipped or wet) on a baguette with an option of provolone." - Jay Friedman

The Most Anticipated Seattle Restaurant Openings of Spring 2023 - Eater Seattle

"One of the city’s most-hyped new breweries has an even more hype-worthy partner in Sammich, the Oregon-based mini-chain of mouth-watering sandwich spots. Founder Melissa 'Mel' McMillan has already dipped her toe into Seattle with a pop-up at JuneBaby earlier this year, but the food truck at Project 9 will be a permanent, seven-days-a-week affair. The truck is already parked outside the brewery doors; we’ll let you know when it’s officially open." - Harry Cheadle

My biggest complaint living here in the PNW is the lack of plentiful deli and sandwich options. There are a few but certainly not a lot. This is not a knock on the couple that we have, but given the population and the demographics it's massively disappointing how few there are. Sammich is a welcome addition. Yes, it's a food truck but it's affiliated itself with a brewery so there's plenty of seating inside and out while you wait for your food and then get to quickly devour it. I promise you once you have it, it won't last long. The only knock is, portion size for price is kind of meh but again, given the very limited options in town mergers can't be choosers. The meat is fantastic, fresh and delicious. The bread is fresh and the “sauces” unique. There's something on the menu for everyone and the fries are pretty damn good too. Service is warm and friendly. Definitely worth the trip and ill be going back.

Finally an Italian Beef sammich I don't have to drive forever to get to! Sammich is a food truck permanently parked at a brewery. Covered seating is ample. I ordered my Italian Beef and then headed inside to grab a drink. I got there before the rush, so I didn't have to wait long. The sammich was large, hot, and absolutely delicious. Soft bread soaked up the cup of au jus that accompanied the Beef. The meat was moist and flavorful. The giardiniera was delicious, with small buts that melted well into the sammich--it didn't feel like I was eating a spicy salad on my way to the Beef. Price was reasonable and I will definitely be back.....a lot!

When around the Seattle metro area, and you've got a hankering for a Good Ole Italian Beef sandwich with Giardiniera, Chicago Italian Sammich will do the trick. The beef is very good and has that great Italian beef flavor. The giardiniera comes up a little short on the size of the vegetables, except for the green peppers - but that distinct, delicious flavor comes through. If you know Chicago 'submersible' hoagie rolls, you know they aren't found around here, but Sammach has managed to find a replacement for the most part. Bonus: what looked like a calico cat was right next to the Sammach shop, sleeping off a drizzly day.

We were really excited to see this food truck pop up in Lake City, in the lot of Project 9 Brewing. We came for the burgers but, unfortunately, they were sold out. We ended up getting the Timbo and the Tre with jalapeños added. We also asked about this aioli-looking sauce and were told it would come with the fries we ordered with our sandwiches. The wait wasn't too bad, maybe 5 minutes, and we went home to eat. We were really, really frustrated that after talking about the aioli, there was none in our bag - neither fry had any sauce. The fries themselves were great - tasty and crunchy. The Timbo was good and came with a side of beef sauce to dip it in, but it had waaaay too much lettuce on top. The Tre, which was a cold cut, had a delicious inside but there was way too much bread IMO. Maybe next time I'll get it toasted because the meat to bread ratio was just off. Can't wait to come back to try the burger and that darn aioli. Hopeful the attention to detail improves!

They have unique and flavorful takes on some classic sandwiches. Overall quality ingredients and generous portions for the price. I'm just not sure I like their versions better than the classic versions of a Chicago Beef Sandwich or of a Philly style Cheese Steak. Definitely worth a try.

This food truck was at project 9 brewing when we were there. The cheese burger was AMAZING. I added jalapeños and bacon. (The bacon was so good!)

Really tasty! Tried the porkstrami and the TRE. Prices reflect area, fresh ingredients, and skill. Would happily eat here again.

Great Italian cold cut sandwich! For decades I’ve been saying the Ravenna/Roosevelt area needs a good sandwich shop. I really hope y’all can make this a permanent thing!
