This place is to die for. Some of the best food that I've had in a long time. They're telling a beef tastes a hundred times better than portillo's, In fact everything I've had from here so far is exceptional. Strongly recommend if you're in the area to definitely stop at Sammy's and get yourself some good.

I have had the burgers, spicy chicken sandwich, gyro, and chicken tenders. Fries and milkshake also. It's all good, and it's all well-priced. Sometimes there's weird stuff on the TV but sometimes it's ok.

All their food is great... Some days they get it mixed up... So check your order before you leave.. but food is great

The food i got today was highly greasy picked it up fell apart you could squeeze all the grease out of it and have a grease plate disgusting i damn near threw up. I was high regular but never again!. I used to recommend this place all the time now I recommend Bonuo beef way better

The food is good but these 2 meals cost 34.50 total no drinks included...one was a hamburger with fries other was a Philly cheese steak with fries ..we had them check receipt.....won't be going back here anytime soon...and she didn't even get a double also it wasn't supposed to have cheese on it wanted a hamburger...can't enjoy it for 34.50

For card payers, take note: they charge additional 4% of total bill (including tax) as "non-cash" transaction fee. Tried their Gyros sandwich and even just the regular one has a LOT of meat! The serving is huge and filling for one person. The cucumber sauce is just right and the tomato wedges are fresh and ripe. I just wish there were more veggies on it. I do recommend this one. We also had the Double Samburger with Cheese but it was just okay. Probably wouldn't order again unless we're super craving and there are no other open burger places nearby. Their jalapeño poppers have a bit of a thick breading compared to those offered in other restaurants, but at least they weren't oily so that's good. Unfortunately, if you're like me who loves spicy food, you might be disappointed. There's no spice at all. My husband said there's a spicy "kick" to it but I couldn't taste it. Fries are good - thick cut, crispy on the outside and soft mushy on the inside.

Called to place an order for pick up and guy hung up. Called again and guy immediate put me on hold. So I’ll take my service elsewhere!!! Bye - Bcb

I love Sammie's burgers and their Gyro wraps and shrimp fries is my go to when I order. Fries served with the best cheese sauce. I always use drive through.

As we approached the front door of Sammie's there was fresh puke on near the door and as we opened the door, we noticed the puke was on the inside of the door. And no one attempting to clean it up. Once inside the restaurant. Customer service at the register was good. Food quality was ok for hot dog stand quick bite to eat.

I've been here a few times and I've always been satisfied but today I am moved to tell you what a good experience I had. The food is good. It's a little on the pricey side but I'd rather keep it local when I want a simple hot dog lunch. The woman who greeted me and took my order was so warm and friendly, and she made sure I walked away with a smile on my face. The place is bright and immaculate. I will be back.

Fasting food at its best, walk up to the counter and order your meal and sit down and wait for it I'm sure you'll be surprised at how good it is !

Came across this place after a trip to the children's museum. The staff is SO kind, food comes out in great timing and it was yummy!! I ordered Mac n cheese bites for my kid, Italian beef for me!!

Super disappointed tonight my food was so greasy. I ordered a gyro, I get these once every blue moon. I was so grossed out. I also asked for the sauce on the side and it was all over the gyro.

Over priced, Trash food. Cooks don't take pride in their cooking. I wouldn't eat here.

This is a solid choice. Nice Crispy crunchy crinkle fries with hot soft insides. The food is never bad, but some nights are better than others. Go to order is the ribs. Nice hot bbq with the fries is a good meal. The Italian Beef is pretty good and the beef and sausage combo is good too. All around it's a good meal at a decent price. Milk shakes are surprisingly good, give them a try!

Had hot dogs today Andy they were great. Very well staffed and had the cleaning down pat. Very clean and worth the trip

This is my favorite Sammie's to go to out of the 2, I love the crinkle cut fries and gyros. Take my fam here too, grandma loves it. Chili cheese fries are the best. Milkshakes are great

I am a young customer. I have been here so many times and I always love it. My friends have been here too and never had a complain. I love the fries from this place, and I always order a large bag when I come. I have seen some negativity or tension from the customers to the workers but honestly that will fly away. Sometimes we all have a bad day because we are HUMAN no one is perfect and you will get something bad, but you just got to learn to accept it and not take it out on anyone else. I would definitely recommend this place anytime and I know that I as well as anyone else is always welcomed to try this place out and enjoy it. :)

No not the best food in the world but this Sammies is close to home and has consistently good gyros, steak sandwiches and grilled chicken. Try getting a grilled chicken on a pita! Salads are mostly lettuce so keep that in mind. Their gyro sauce is really good. Get the fries extra crispy. You will thank me.

You ain't had a burger till you got one from Sammie's! The food is great and the people are awesome and happy!! This is my go to place for lunch!! Best fried mushrooms I've ever had!!

Ordered thru drive-Thru today: 8/28/21 I Pizza Puff 1 Hotdog with everything. The Pizza Puff was greasy and tasted like shit. The Hot Dog was old, you could tell it's been overcooked and was sitting out for a while. The bread was soggy and all the ingredients where soggy as well. That was $11.00 down the drain, as I took one bit of each and thru them in the garbage immediately! I'm not going to Sammies on Fairfield ever again!

Delicious Italian beef! Their shakes are amazing. The food comes out quick. Fast service. The restaurant is also very clean.

I had to make this account just so I could let people know NOT to eat here. Today, I ordered for pick up as I often do. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich as well as some onion rings. I walked over (its about 10 minutes on foot) and picked up my food. I got home and discovered cut up pieces of chicken tenders instead of my grilled breast. I called to ask them to refund my money, and was told I ordered a breaded chicken sandwich. THEY DONT EVEN LIST A BREADED CHCIKEN SANDWICH ON THEIR MENU! Seriously, look it up on their website, They dont make one. They clearly just ran out, didn't tell me when I ordered, and substituted the grilled breast for leftover tenders. I was going to let it go, but after taking a bite I could tell the tenders weren't even fried up fresh. They were cold, chewy, and completely disgusting. They refused to refund my money, and I'm considering calling my card company to cancel the charges. I had been happy they opened this location so close to my home, I've eaten here many times, but there's a real Sammies with decent workers on Rollins and it's maybe 3 minutes further away by car. So if all this nonsense sounds like it's worth the risk to save a few minutes, by all means roll the dice and stop in. I won't be coming back unless I get an apology and a refund. The audacity to try to cover their mistakes by blaming me speaks volumes about the workers and quality in this establishment. Go to the Rollins rd. location, I've never been treated poorly there.

Absolutely loved this place but we will never return. Staff and business is completely ignoring the mask mandate. None of staff is wearing masks, no customers required to wear masks upon entry. No mask request on door, nothing. The food was great but the lack of care for health during something as big as a pandemic makes me worried that other health code violations may be happening.

I called to place an order. They answered and said to please hold... After a few minutes went by... Wasn't sure if I was still on hold or if they hung up. So I hung up and called them back... Only to have them pickup the phone and hang up on me. Tried calling three more times... And all three times, they picked up the phone and hung up on me.

Very friendly. Good food. Fast, accurate service. Wide variety of quicker food made to order.

Awful customer service I went there to get food for me and my kids and they forgot all the sauces and the cheese for the fries so I had to go back, I also brought some of the food back because I did not want to have cold food and some of it was eaten by my kids just quickly threw them in their mouth because obviously we're all hungry, and they counted them and made sure that they gave me just enough to compensate what had been eaten they said they couldn't give out free food even though I had to waste my gas to go back in the first place. Absolutely ridiculous will not be going back.

Awesome little spot to get a quick meal in the neighborhood. Everyone who works here is so great and I really enjoy the food- it's also kid friendly. Support Your local businesses!

This place is terrible!!!! Do not waste your money. Italian beef is disgusting and pizza puff was terrible.

I love the convenience of being able to call ahead. Everyone is always so friendly. The food is ready quickly every time. The biggest complaint (1st world complaint) is they don't have the hand cut fries. Such a bummer.

Philly cheese steak sandwich is so nasty. Seems like processed meat and it had so much liquid cheese on it you couldn't even pick it up. Only one or two small pieces of onions and peppers which was sad because that's all I ate of the whole sandwich. I threw everything else away.

Love this place I'm a repeat customer. The service and cleanliness during the pandemic has been exceptional. The food is always delicious. I highly recommend Sammies

There are a lot of fast food places like this but I really prefer this one. Quick service and the food is excellent. They even present it to you nicely and things just aren't just slapped together. The store itself is very clean and there are lots of places to sit. My preferred Sammies location.

Great service, great food. I work nearby and this is one of our usual places for lunch. My kids love it too!

I went to pick up my order and as I was paying I saw in the background one of the cooks fixing 2 hotdogs with his bare hands. I saw him placing the veggie on the hotdogs and then transferring veggies from one hotdog to the other with absolutely no gloves or tongs. We are new to the area and we've been to Sammie's on Rollins a few times and loved so we wanted to try this location. I felt disgusted and will not go there anymore.

Food is always good ,a quick bite food ,I wont go out of my way to eat there . Not all Sammies food are the same . I tried all 4 Sammies in the area , GraysLake ,Round Lake store on Rollins ,Lake Villa ,one on Fairfeld is the newest one .

Portion sizes at this place are huge! You definitely get your bang for your buck here. The only downside about this place is that they no longer serve sub sandwiches, since there is a Subway next door.

We live in Texas now and can not find any place to a eat Chicago beef sandwiches, So when.ever we are in town visiting family we have to make a stop at Sammie's. In round lake Illinois . The best beef sandwiches ever ! Portions and taste can't be beat !

You'll find great Sammie's food here. This is one of my favorite local hot dog joints for not only hot dogs, but gyros, burgers, and full-size fries! AND they have a drive up pick-up window for phone orders!

great food. True vienna beef. Gyros are excellent. Great prices and good location. The staff is excellent in service and communication. Great home feel with a fireplace and nice big tv for entertainment.

I went in for a gyros, cashier acted like she was doing me a favor by helping me.ordered the gyro and fries, got home to eat and I was surprised when I bit in the he gyro,I got a piece of meat coated in some kinda grease,the meat was reheated in grease,it was so greasy I threw it in the garbage,then tried the fries hard as a rock. I'm surprised these people have a job cooking.I wasted almost $9.00 on reheated greasy grimey gyro meat and stale fries that I threw out.seems to me the ownership doesn't care what his employees do. I'll never give them another dime of mine and I'll let everyone know,they need to close the doors!

Horrible service. Person taking my order didn't write it properly so I had to wait for fries. They didn't seem to care when I complained. Rather corrected me saying I ordered just the sandwich. I don't think this is affiliated with the other Sammie's? If it is it's a shame and Sammie should get his name off of this building. Make the trip to Grayslake.

A good place. Helps round out the Sammies trio in this area. Clean with nice décor. Reasonable prices.

This location is way better than the location on Rollins. I love the call ahead drive thru, we call on our way home from work. The fries are crispy and fresh. I love the chicken on pita. They are always friendly and fast.

Chicken is always dry And as far as the gyros then need to try a real Greek Restaraunt gyro once and they could fix it. you guys should go to the works in Niles they have the best gyro ever.

This place has amazing French fries. The food is consistently good. My friend got the mozzarella beef, I got hotdogs and fries. We also got jalapeño poppers and mozzarella sticks. Everything was good. The servers are always nice. I'd recommend this place to anyone. The only concern is the price but honestly I can overlook it for the flavor and service.

This place has great & speedy service. Their chicken might be a little dry but they're also not known for their chicken. We've had burgers, gyros, hot dogs, philly steak sandwiches & they were all delicious. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat.

I called before so I could pick up my food and go. The girl that picked up the phone said "hold" and put the phone down not on hold. After she picked up and asked what I wanted. I said I wanted to order the chicken salad but I wanted to know exactly came on it. The girl said "I think lettuce"..... seriously. You seriously think I didn't know that. After she asked if I wanted her to find out what came on it, I told her yes please let me know. She comes back on the phone and tells me. I then said I'd like to order 2 of the salads. I get home and they put what looked like cut up slices of kraft American cheese on our chicken salads. My husband and I were both pissed. The ranch dressing was watered down and tasteless.... bottom line I won't go back.

Best Chicago dog ever! Had two different wedges of pickles (not tiny slices), three wedges of tomatoes (not slivers), tons of sport peppers and relish, covered in mustard and spices and maybe more I just could not stop eating it to take another look. A true Midwest trophy! Also had their combos in past days at this and other close by locations and hands down best I have ever had. The sausage was hotter than the gardinaire! Simply awesome!

I walked in tonight to order two hot dogs and what I witnessed left me speechless. One line cook was not wearing gloves and grabbed the hot dogs with his bare hands directly from the tub storing the hot dogs. He picked the hot dogs up with his hands (no gloves) and plopped them on the buns. He then proceeded to pick up french fries with no gloves. Three young workers, no managers to be found. Not one worker was wearing gloves. No tongs for picking up food. Other line cook was shaving gyro meet with bare hands and knife. I got a front-seat show by going inside and seeing them cooking food behind the counter. If you are looking for food poisoning and bacteria on your food....this place is a must see. The health department needs to be called. Buy your employees a box of gloves. Very poor sanitation. Will never come back to this restaurant. Go elsewhere!

Amazing gyros and tzatziki with decent most everything else. I haven't gone through their whole menu but from what I've tried I keep coming back. :-)

We love Sammies on Rollins, great gyros, burgers, polish, fresh sliced potato fries etc. This is the third and last time we will go to the one on Fairfield. Got a juicy beef, the slices of meat were huge and tough, almost as if the meat was boiled but not cooked. Like a corn beef that did not simmer long enough. Literally had to cut the meat with a sharp knife, glad I took it home could never have eaten it just as a sandwich. But did not bother to finish it, it was awful. The fries are the worst, frozen crinkle cut, only partially cooked and white--not golden brown, and no flavoring salt. My friend got a tamale, it was fine, but its hard to ruin them. DO NOT SPEND YOUR $$$ here, if you need a Sammies fix drive the extra blocks to Rollins. Sammie, you really should think about taking your name off of this one. There is likely some decent customer traffic because there is no other food places nearby except Subway. You are better off at Subway.

Had the meatball sandwich last week and was pretty good. The fries are outstanding as who doesn't love crinkle cut fries? The service is also good and workers very friendly. The reason for only two stars is I came back to try the burger and it isn't good at all. The bun was soggy from the grease and made the burger a mess. Will still go back again but hope the owners make some changes as I'm not the only one to post this in regards to the burgers. Someone said better than five guys and this is definitely not the case!

I ordered their double Samburger thinking it was going to be really good; well, it was not. The tomato was ice cold and despite the fresh meat the bun couldn't hold it up. The bun just crumbles no matter what and I tried to tell the cashier but she didn't understand and gave me a weird look. I came back and got the smaller one but it didn't matter...the bun fell apart and it looked like the inside of a diaper. I'm going to Wendy's.

So, I've been going to Sammies on Rollins Rd for the most part but since this one was closer to me I thought I'd try it out. The food is awesome as always but man will I not dine in. The service was way to slow than normal. I'm pretty sure it was because of the new drive thru. I recommend the drive thru instead of ordering inside.
