I have walked past this restaurant on numerous occasions and decided this past Sunday to visit and check off one more FXBG restaurant I've never visited.
First and foremost, our server was excellent! I was on a guy's day out, my oldest son and two little boys (8,4) and our server (can't recall his name) took their order first and put it in so it would come out fast and while we waited gave my boys some pita chips and oranges to satiate their hunger while they waited.
My Yelper-in-practice (8yo) had the cheeseburger and fries and demolished it! He is becoming a critic on his own and will politely voice his thought on bad food.
I had the Club Sandwich on toasted pumpernickel bread (and a water). I am trying to stay away from fries (that day I was successful) and well, Sammy T's didn't have an alternative like chips made so, I just had a club sandwich.
It was a good sandwich though, beyond just okay really good. They had thick-sliced crispy pickles, crispy bacon, fresh tasting veggies, not too salty turkey/ham, and not too much mayo. One note on the bacon, it is not that translucent crap you get at some restaurants, no it is real bacon.
COVID Description:
Servers wore masks and everyone in their had theirs on when not at table. They also had tables closed for social distancing and the food delivers wore gloves.
***The bathrooms are clean*** and according to the signs on the door they use special sanitizer that is hospital grade.
Overall, it give them a 3 (3.5 would be better) and mostly because they didn't have or I just wasn't offered an alternative side. I think home-cooked kettle chips would go great.
They have a decent drink menu, but I didn't partake. This will not be my last time, I liked this place. I'm tempted to try the burger.
