The Best Places to Dine in Fredericksburg, Virginia | Eater DC

"Around since 1981, Sammy T’s is a longstanding destination for vegetarians around town. Fried tofu and broccoli, abundant salads, and falafel or black bean pitas are all popular here, and the menu also carves out room for carnivores in the mood for flat-iron steak and juicy burgers. Rotating deals include half-priced bottles of wine on Wednesdays." - Robey Martin

Great vegan options, fresh food, amazing and welcoming atmosphere. There is something for everyone. Menu is clearly labeled for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free. Laura is the best waitress!! She is so nice and accommodating. The manager is awesome too!! Super nice people and very good food! The avocado on my sandwich was perfect.

Came here on a whim with my husband and they have Chicago deep dish pizza all I can say is OMG this pizza is our new favorite and it’s sooo delicious 10/10. Definitely recommend and coming back more often ❤️

We stopped at Sammy T's on our way back to Arlington. We ended up having lunch there by chance. The place is one or two blocks from the waterfront park; very convenient. It is a top family-friendly restaurant. The staff was nice and flexible; the food tasty and prices were reasonable. The blue cheese cream was amazing! Definitely going again next time we are at Fredericksburg. My kiddos insisted in giving them five stars :).

Overall, my experience with Sammy T’s was good, not excellent. I haven’t been there in several years. Was very intrigued by the Chicago deep dish pizza. We ordered a medium pepperoni. I was disappointed that the pizza came out lukewarm. The restaurant side of the house wasn’t extremely busy, so I’m not sure why it came out so cool. I was really looking forward to a hot pizza with that Chicago flare. If I said, the pizza was lukewarm, it may not have been that warm. And this is personal preference, but the sauce is a bit acidic, a touch of oil or something sweet for my pallet would improve its savory, rich flavor and reduce the bitter acidity. I will most likely give it one more try and hope for just a slightly better result.

A local recommend this spot for lunch, and the menu looked promising, but the actual food left much to bed desired. The winds are large, but not very flavorful. They're simple naked, unseasoned fried wings with sauce. Sauce was good and homemade but the wings need a dry rub or just salt/pepper. My grilled cheese was pretty average tasting, and the tomato soup that came with it was luke warm. My friend got the club sandwich and it was just simple grocery style deli meat. The service was good though and the food came out fast (maybe too fast). Probably won't be back.

I was working downtown and finally stopped by — sure didn’t regret it! YMMAS Pizza (hidden in the back of Sammy T’s) is a legit Chicago-style deep-dish spot. Buttery crust, tons of cheese, and loaded toppings. The sauce is the best I've had in years. I will be back with the family to share. If you haven't been, you should stop by! Keep in mind, it takes about 30 minutes for the magic to happen, so pop in, order, have a walk or play down at the River Front park about a block away. 12/10 - would eat again!

Came to spend the day in Old Town Fredericksburg. Stopped here for lunch. Staff was great, greeted right away, wait staff friendly and attentive. Had the French dip which was delicious, will definitely go back. The order of fries is enough for 2 or 3.

Google
Great food, great restaurant embedded in the lovely old town of Fredericksburg, VA. For us it was a coincidence to find this hidden gem as it was part of our road trip, where we want to discover new places. Steven made our stay very pleasant and did a great job! Dessert was delicious too.

Yelp
Today I went to Sammy T's and I was pleased with pretty much every aspect of it. I went in with a few friends while visiting the city and it was clean, quiet place to sit and talk. I ordered a burger and fries. The burger was amazing! It was so perfectly cooked and the cheddar cheese was melted exactly how I like it. The fries however were a bit cold and plain even with salt on them. I don't recommend getting the pickles since they tasted like just plain cucumbers. The service was good and our server was nice and quick. Overall I was happy with the meal and experience. I definitely recommend!

Yelp
We LOVE Sammy T's. We went out of our way yesterday on a long drive home from central VA just to eat lunch there. I love the Ellen salad with falafel. My husband enjoyed the Brunswick stew and a spinach-mushroom sandwich. The servers are always so pleasant and we love the old times feel of the place. Its a classic.

Yelp
Excellent! We stopped in during an afternoon stroll through downtown Fredericksburg and truly enjoyed the experience. Small but truly an energetic vibe and I am sure the evenings are really popping with a huge bar area and great food. Our server was great with quick and attentive service and great recommendations. We split a wonderful classic salad with apples, walnuts, cranberries, spinach and balsamic dressing. Wonderful and refreshing! We split a small deep dish pizza with sausage and pepperoni and the two of us were full and satisfied! The pizza was made with the freshest ingredients and it was a wonderful experience!

Yelp
Went there recently to try their deep dish pizza. Worst pizza we ever had. First it came out cold. When "rewarmed" it still was barley warm in the middle. The other thing is that it tasted terrible. The sauce did not taste like a good pizza sauce. Sammy Ts has always been good but I see all the reviews are starting to go down. Hope it does not get worse. Service was fantastic though.

Yelp
I have been in this area for about 10 years. I finally tried Sammy T's this place use to always be packed so on Friday night I didn't think we would get in. We arrived and were greeted and seated. Place was empty a few tables were full but nothing like it normally is. The place was blazing hot inside. The ambiance was so so and the seating was sub par. The menu offered a lot of vegan options but seemed limited for anything else. We ordered apps and they came out super fast the falafel poppers were very good and the avocado salad was delicious. Everyone else liked the entrees they ordered. I ordered the chicken parm sandwich and it was very tasteless and dry and came with no sides. All in all would I come back maybe but there is far better places downtown to try. It is very disappointing to have to write a so so review for a hometown restaurant. I hope they get back to the busy place they use to be with better food options.

Yelp
Waiter was nice, food was below mid grade. Place was cute but not worth it. Won't be coming back.

Yelp
Nice traditional old town restaurant/pub. Staff was helpful and attentive. Menu had a variety of food options. I especially enjoyed the vegetarian choices. Bathrooms clean. Has some outside seating. Portions good.

Yelp
We came to Fredericksburg to meet a friend for lunch at Sammy T's. Luckily our friend (a local) knew to make a lunch reservation for Saturday afternoon. And when we arrived, the place was packed with guests. Sammy T's is quite popular for good reason. The vibe here is sort of diner meets hip bar scene. The menu "leans vegetarian" with lots of great choices. In fact, though none of us are vegetarians, but no one at our table ordered anything with meat. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I got the Ellen Salad. It is a Mediterranean style plate with tabouleh, falafel, and a lemon tahini dressing over spinach. The tabouleh was made with wheat berries instead of bulgur. A nice twist that retained the traditional taste of tabouleh. The falafel was... interesting. The balls were nicely fried up, but the flavor was off. They tasted like hummus. Just hummus. None of the usual spiced flavor of falafel. Strange. My daughter loved the caprese sandwich. At the start of lunch, her intention was to eat half the sandwich now and bring the other half home for later. She said it was so delicious that she had to eat the whole thing now! LOL!

Yelp
Not sure what's happened at Sammy Ts but I had the worst food experience since being a patron for over 40 years! I ordered pot stickers that were hard (they are supposed to be soft) as if cooked hours earlier. For 5 they were whopping $15.00. Naturally sent them back. A second order got them right - served hot and soft. Then my go to with a cool Guinness, a Roast Beef Ruben. Used to cost a manageable $8.00 is now $15.00, so I expected at least the same typical way a Ruben is served. Hot on Rye, grilled, juicy meat with kraut, Russian dressing, etc. Nope. Not what I got. The meat was dry and almost white in color. The bread was not grilled or toasted, way too much swiss cheese melted over the meat, barely any kraut and a squirt of dressing on 1 half. I stomached part of a half. It was awful and tasteless. I boxed the other half for a contractor who works for me who will eat it. No chips or fries included for $15.00 as well. Those cost extra. If it weren't for the Guinness I would have walked out! Get your act together Sammy!! Your standards have plummeted and you're serving grub. Overpriced at that. Let me get in that kitchen of yours and show you simple, healthy, delicious cooked food. Worthy of a good rating. But, most Americans just settle and that's part of the problem. It will be a long time before I return.... For a Guinness.

Yelp
Went for BRUNCH this past Sunday Sept 21,2024. Haven't been here for a Rueben or lunch here in years and was driving through town from FL. Decided to take a good friend who just moved to the area and this place was a terrible disaster at best! We both ordered brunch, Eggs Benedict, which is supposed to have POACHED eggs. Our breakfast came out after waiting more than 30 minutes. I know they were busy but this was 1 pm in the afternoon so well after the breakfast rush. The poached eggs were hard! If your cook cannot make a poached egg then Eggs Benedict should NOT be on the menu! We then sent the meals back and I ordered a basic breakfast of eggs, bacon and toast. My friend ordered a Monte Cristo sandwich. Neither of these meals are hard to make. We waited another 45 minutes and the meals were not made a priority AT ALL! The people across from us, that came in well after us, not only got their meal but ate all their food and left and we ere still sitting there. Our iced teas were NEVER refilled the entire time and our waitress could not be bothered to come to our table, apologize for the shitty service or tell us even when our meals would arrive. She managed to give us a "side eye" look when she walked by and continued to ignore us. I am very generous when it comes to writing up good food places because I know how hard the restaurants work but these employees couldn't have cared less that we were even there. I am so angry about this visit because I really wanted to show my friend the area she moved to had some great eateries. We will never come back no matter how good their Rueben's once were! This place should get no stars but at least they know how to brew iced tea which a toddler could do. We left the place leaving $6.50 on the table which is far more that the iced tea even cost and far more than this restaurant deserves! Shame on the staff, shame on the manager and owners for NOT taking care of customers even on a busy day. The waitress actually seemed put out to be waiting on us. The hostess seemed distracted and less than interested in being employed and everyone else ignored us. OH we also ordered a side of the breakfast potatoes and they NEVER came out. I don't even think the waitress ordered them. Never again. They are lucky to get the rating I gave them. Get new owners, managers and staff because this IS NOT the Sammy Ts I know and you should be ashamed! The only good thing about this place is the nostalgic furnishings I remember when this was a good restaurant.

Yelp
Amazing food, tastes just like homey cooking! Went here with friends and they had excellent service. The food was out fast and the waiter was very respectful. The music is nice and the tv was playing but nothing was too much.

Yelp
Cool place with pop artwork, great vegetarian and vegan offerings, prompt and excellent service. What's not to like??? It's a staple on Caroline Street with great variety of shops to see and visit!

Yelp
I visited a few weeks ago, and liked the place a lot. However, I came back with my family a few weeks later, and our waitress was awful (possibly the worst I've ever had). She seated us and then took our drink order, then proceeded to completely ignore us for the next 45 minutes. Not even an acknowledgment that we existed. She took orders from other tables near us, and she walked by our table constantly, yet never even stopped by once. After watching her help several other tables I finally made eye contact with her and even waved at her, and she looked at me then walked the other direction. It was clearly intentional, and we have no clue why she decided to do this. I ended up having to flag down another waitress and asked her if we could order. She said "I'll let your server know you're ready." Several minutes later, our server (I have no clue what her name was but she had lots of tattoos) had still not taken our order, so the other waitress noticed this and walked over and took our order. Unfortunately, she either didn't write it down properly or the kitchen messed up, because they got my sandwich wrong and they didn't even bring out one of our side items. I figured that our original waitress would at least stop by to see how our food was, but that never happened because she just didn't care. Someone told us that she is normally in the kitchen but they tried bringing her out as a waitress. It seems like she needs to stay in the kitchen, because she has no clue how to be a waitress.

Jane M.

Yelp
Really sad. Couldn't even finish a grilled cheese it was so bad. Have given it a number of chances in past few weeks, all so bad. Done.

Matthew W.

Yelp
This was their sliders. Literally just unseasoned ground meat on bread. What?! We also got the nachos, which were nachos with slices of American cheese melted. What?!

Yelp
The restaurant is small, has its own pizzazz and charm about it when eating inside. We enjoy coming for their sandwiches, which have always done us well. Even when they're busy, they still tend to deliver great service. We have been eating here for probably 6+ years.

Dan S.

Yelp
Good food Wonderful service with a friendly smile Great atmosphere Will definitely visit again.

Yelp
My wife loves the grilled cheese sandwich and fries from here. My son loves the stir fry. All the food we have had from here is good so far. The staff is friendly and move quickly to get you served. The inside is decorated nice and is a casual environment to set in while you relax in downtown Fredericksburg.

Yelp
This the place to go. great drinks and menu. one of the best places in Fredericksburg- we love it!

Stephen G.

Yelp
Went in for a late lunch on Sunday. We were seated quickly, and the service was great. I got the fish and chips - one large piece of well-cooked fish with french fries. I liked it and would go back.

Yelp
I was attracted to Sammy T's from the eclectic storefront and highly patronized location directly across from my hotel - visiting from Atlanta. Stepped inside past the crowded outdoor seating, to check out the menu. Always on the hunt for high quality. Opted for sweet tea to drink. Sweet enough for the average Southerner... I had the lunch special a crab cake sandwich. The fat-cut fresh tomato, pickled onions and cucumbers were an amazing addition to the fried crab! I looked longingly at a couple of burger order French fries prior to receiving my meal but, after wolfing such scrumptious fried crab on bread, I did not feel neglected at all! Amazing job Scotty Ts and van for making my afternoon so delightful!

Yelp
I stopped in for lunch on a Friday afternoon and they were moderately busy (actually, all seats indoor and outdoor were taken, but the bar was completely open), so I sat at the bar. The bartender was quick to greet and help me out and gave me a good explanation of the menu. I opted for their French Dip and a side of Cole Slaw. The French Dip was amazing! The creamy horseradish is clearly made in-house and was perfectly spiced and herbed! The beef was perfectly prepared, tender and not fatty at all! The bread was spot-on perfect as well! The au jus was decent, had a nice flavor, but wasn't as spectacular as the sandwich and the horseradish. The Cole Slaw was boring, definitely nothing special, though I could tell it was made in-house as well. Service was excellent! Very friendly, attentive and helpful! The venue is really nicely decorated as well. It's got that "old building" look, with stamped tin ceilings and a beautiful wooden bar. They also have a very nice menu loaded with vegan/vegetarian items, as well as full-on meat items and all of the items on the menu looked very appetizing! I'll most definitely return!!!

Jane S.

Yelp
Joined my sister for lunch at Sammy T's today. Our first time to this restaurant. Our server was very nice - she took our orders, brought the food quickly, refilled drinks and even asked if we would like drink refills to go. The restaurant was clean and had nice local art on the walls. The menu was appealing and attractive. The booths are cramped with seats that are not deep enough for comfort - and perfectly straight backs. Food presentation does not seem like a priority - more about getting food to the table instead. Sandwiches do not come with a side - they are priced separately. A grilled cheese ($8.50), fries ($5.00) & iced tea ($4.00) created a taxed bill of nearly $20.00 - not including the tip. The grilled cheese was named "The Best Grilled Cheese in the Neighborhood" (or something like that) and, unfortunately, it was definitely not. It was small, greasy and ordinary. The fries were few and actually just basic restaurant fries with ketchup in a red picnic-type squeeze bottle. The iced tea had little ice and tasted weak. The moment our server placed the food on the table, it was a disappointment. Small portions, very average quality and no presentation - not even a garnish. I asked for a tomato on my sandwich & the server said that would be fine. The sandwich arrived without it. It was simple diner food at best. The sandwich and fries should have been about $8.95 together and the tea $2.95. We paid nearly $50 in total for (2) of these identical orders inclusive of the tip. It was completely not worth it. At that price, the sandwich should have been a knockout and the fries should have been something extra special, too. Bland & plain. I really wished I could have left a better review - I like to leave glowing reviews. This one just did not measure up.

Yelp
Great corner location on Caroline with decent service, but mediocre food. I got the cobia special which had inconsistent texture... rubbery in spots, undercooked in others, and very fishy tasting... a sign it wasn't very fresh. My friend got an easy grilled cheese and tomato soup. He said it was nothing special. Has so much potential to be better, though they don't seem to be lacking business.
google avatar

Lacey L.

Yelp
The food was amazing and so fresh, and came out wicked fast! We also got a Paloma and Bloody Mary and they were really good. Will definitely be visiting again.

Yelp
Wifey and I haven't had much of an opportunity to travel during this Covid-19 mess, but today we drove down to see our daughter in Fredericksburg. After the drive down we decided to hit Sammy T's for lunch and it was the right choice. Nice bar, friendly staff, and...wait for it...excellent food! I started with the Tomato basil soup. I must pause here for a moment...you don't get a body like mine by NOT knowing good food. Let me tell you, this was the best, the BEST, tomato basil soup I've ever had anywhere. If they have it on the menu...order it. Wifey ordered the Fried green tomato BLT, I had the sautéed Crab cake sandwich and we split some Fries. Wifey says the fried green tomato BLT was out of this world...crunchy, well seasoned, and a generous portion. As I said, the food was excellent and I would 100% come back here again. Seems like they are at 50% capacity here in VA right now so just be aware if you're nervous about being around too many people.

Lisa ..

Yelp
Longtime and popular spot on Fredericksburg's main historic street. The food is excellent, with plenty of choices (including quite a few delicious vegetarian options). Service is efficient and friendly. Prices are reasonable. Best Gazpacho of all time!

Yelp
I have walked past this restaurant on numerous occasions and decided this past Sunday to visit and check off one more FXBG restaurant I've never visited. First and foremost, our server was excellent! I was on a guy's day out, my oldest son and two little boys (8,4) and our server (can't recall his name) took their order first and put it in so it would come out fast and while we waited gave my boys some pita chips and oranges to satiate their hunger while they waited. My Yelper-in-practice (8yo) had the cheeseburger and fries and demolished it! He is becoming a critic on his own and will politely voice his thought on bad food. I had the Club Sandwich on toasted pumpernickel bread (and a water). I am trying to stay away from fries (that day I was successful) and well, Sammy T's didn't have an alternative like chips made so, I just had a club sandwich. It was a good sandwich though, beyond just okay really good. They had thick-sliced crispy pickles, crispy bacon, fresh tasting veggies, not too salty turkey/ham, and not too much mayo. One note on the bacon, it is not that translucent crap you get at some restaurants, no it is real bacon. COVID Description: Servers wore masks and everyone in their had theirs on when not at table. They also had tables closed for social distancing and the food delivers wore gloves. ***The bathrooms are clean*** and according to the signs on the door they use special sanitizer that is hospital grade. Overall, it give them a 3 (3.5 would be better) and mostly because they didn't have or I just wasn't offered an alternative side. I think home-cooked kettle chips would go great. They have a decent drink menu, but I didn't partake. This will not be my last time, I liked this place. I'm tempted to try the burger.

Yelp
Came in for a day trip from DC (via amtrak, 1hr - so close!). It was bustling already and we were seated right away. Service was friendly and we had a great meal! Definitely recommend the Avocado Melt & French Dip Au Jus and of course, some sweet tea to tie it together.

William F.

Yelp
Very nice service and with a musical trio to add to atmosphere. It is a booth and bar type restaurant and food is OK for this type restaurant.

Timothy S.

Yelp
We love Sammy T's! The menu is all delicious and the staff is fantastic. Our bartender today, Calvin, makes the best vodka martini I've ever had. Absolutely top shelf! Our go to for drinks in Fredericksburg!
google avatar

Roseanna C.

Yelp
We're vegan. It's hard to find good vegan food at many places. This has both excellent vegan food as well as non-vegan so we can take our carnivore friends and relatives for a good time.
google avatar

Yelp
The food was good. The service was ok but he was either having a bad day or he was not a social person. It was really busy and loud. A typical bar.

Yelp
Great lunch at Sammy T's. Ate outside at bistro table and enjoyed the ambiance of downtown Fredericksburg. Ordered the avocado melt (fresh as can be. The onion jam was AMAZING) and the black bean burger for my husband (very fresh and flavorful as well.). The sweet potato shoestring fries were very tasty, too. Service was prompt and friendly. Would definitely come back!

Yelp
On a hot Sunday afternoon a little after 1pm, my wife and I were not willing to wait in a long line at a pizzeria and crossed the street to check out Sammy Ts. Their twenty or so tables and booths were all occupied but the large bar had plenty of seats for us to belly up to. The bar tender greeted us and took our drink order. They have a handful of beers on tap and I went for my usual IPA while my wife got a Stella. The bar area is pleasant with large TVs on the either end. Behind the bar is a wall of mirrors to check out the art work on the wall behind you without needing to turn around. We ordered a Sammy salad and French dip to split between us. They were out of spinach though and offered to make the salad with regular greens which ended up being ok in the end. While waIting, we sipped our beers and watched some tennis. It took though 30 minutes for our food to arrive. Perhaps they were short staffed that day but regardless it was too long. They did pre split our order onto separate plates in advance of bringing it to us which was very nice. The salad was very good with lots of berries and nuts added in. It was certainly the highlight of the meal. The French dip though was the saltiest sandwich I have every had. It was so bad that I couldn't finish it despite dunking it repeatedly in the flavorless au jus. I would have asked for another but didn't want to stay for 30 minutes. A very disappointing visit for us and we'll think twice in the future about not waiting in line.

Matthew D.

Yelp
Great food, service and experience. Got the Cajun chicken sandwich and it was delicious!

Yelp
Had Sunday brunch. We have vegan, vegetarian and omnivores in family. Sammy T's accommodates all of us. There are few(I think two) restaurants in Fredericksburg that have tofu scrambles on the menu- this is one. It was full of veggies and tofu and came with a side salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. Very good! Highly recommend. Owner said it's available every Saturday and Sunday for brunch--just ask if you don't see it on the menu.

Becky G.

Yelp
While this looks beautiful. It was a bland watery disaster. Terrible. The shrimp was also just not worth it. Left hungry and sad.

Yelp
Walking in and adjusting to the interior light for the first time in Sammy T's restaurant I was greeted by none other than one of the owners, Laura. Right away I could tell that she was the reason for the success of this restaurant. Standing next to her was a server ready to take over if needed. I was there to work on a book I was working on. I realized that although she knew that the restaurant would be busy, she sat me at the best table I feel in the house. Up front with an excellent view of the street. And when the restaurant did get filled almost to capacity the only concern was that I had enough to eat or drink during my two plus hour stay. I had four excellent servers making me feel that I always was ok. Being a writer and aware that table real estate can be an issue providing tables for all customers. I wanted to point out the professionalism showed by every staff member I came in contact with. I recommend coming anytime to enjoy a respite and meal from walking or touring historical Fredericksburg, Virginia at Sammy T's restaurant. For the record, I had the fried artichoke hearts, coffee and lemon water. The hearts were a little tart but delicious for a snack. I was also able to wrote a section of my book I was having difficulty in. The atmosphere a d service helped immensely. Come try, good food, good fun and most of all good people. Mahalo and Aloha

Yelp
Very disappointed! Place looked great, cleaned up very nicely since the Emory's owned. But waited to be seated. Everyone was busy and didn't acknowledge us for a while. Seated 20 ft from where we stood (no biggie), but then waited a super long time to be acknowledged by the waitress. Ordered drinks and food. Reubens are usually corned beef ( we thought), this was warmed on the grill roast beef. Not what we wanted. Waitress was nice enough to ask to take it back but we were over it. Hummus was extremely runny. I have my "go to" things I always (used ) to get at Sammys cause it was always great! Not good. Ate 4 pieces of bread and left the rest. Probably won't be returning but this was my gf's first time, so she will not be back for sure. Sorry Sammy's wish I had better time.

Yelp
We had a group of 7 last Saturday night...we actually recommended Sammy T's to our neighbors who were celebrating a birthday. Everyone was glad we did...food was amazing. Service was friendly and professional. The Shrimp Po Boy was on point, with jumbo shrimp, coleslaw lettuce and tomato on a tasty roll. French dip disappeared so fast it was like a magic trick...Turkey Panini was also a big hit (must be those home made pickles), Birthday Boy enjoyed the Salmon w/couscous. Great food, reasonably priced. We've never had a bad meal come to think of it! It's a laid back, casual restaurant/bar that's suited for lunch and dinner. Highly Recommended.

Yelp
A cute cafe will always be my choice over a chain. Me and my bf loved our meal- very tasty and fresh! One star off because of our server at the time of our visit came off a little rude towards me. We were done with our meal and were waiting for a water refill very thirsty. About 15 minutes later we were finally checked on, and as we asked for the bill, I kindly asked for a refill of water. Five minutes later she brings the bill so I nicely reminded her about the water. She responded in an annoyed tone and expression "when I get a chance." What felt like no less than ten minutes later she finally brought the water. I have been a server myself and am very understanding on being a little busy- but I would never say "when I get a chance" with a bothered vibe to a customer. I asked my boyfriend if it was just me or did it seem like she was sort of rude about it- and he agreed. So unfortunately we left a slightly lower tip than we normally would, but I mean- the server wasn't very nice at the end of our meal at all- So I guess it is what it is. It was pretty uncomfortable and it left me feeling a little bothered for several hours after we left. Overall, we will definitely be back because the food was delicious.

Yelp
Made a reservation for 6. Showed up at 6 and was told they have given our table to another party of 6. The bartender implied it was because we had made our reservation online and that's always a problem, but I called to make it, and it was on the tablet the hostess was using. After 10 minutes said they would accommodate us in their party room. Had to go outside and around the corner to get to it. Waited 15 minutes and no one came. Decided to leave. On our way past the front of the restaurant the hostess saw us and asked if everything was okay. When we told her no one came to help us, she said they forgot we were there. Needless to say this was easily the worst service I've ever had. They called after we left to talk about it, but way too little and way too late. Be better.

Yelp
Ordered nachos. Got Kraft slices on top of chips. Microwaved. Threw up. Haven't been back since.

Yelp
I highly recommend that you do NOT go here is time is of any value to you. It was not crowded and I sat at the bar, with only two other people and waited for 48 minutes for a hamburger. Just a Swiss / Mushroom, with everything on it, nothing special, no sides. Jason, the bartender was super helpful and managed to get me a drink just before happy hour closed, but whoever is running the kitchen has absolutely NO IDEA what he is doing. I am totally frustrated and finally just left, despite having already paid for the burger. I will NEVER eat here again. NEVER. There are too many other good places to eat within a stones throw.....who value customer's time.

Yelp
My husband and I decided to try this place out on a date night. We were a little hesitant when we saw a somewhat empty dining room but decided that could be a good thing. We were greeted by the bartender (who also happened to be the manager). He made me a custom drink and offered my husband a selection of beers they had on tap. I was surprised to see they had vegetarian, gluten free, seafood and meat items in the menu. A fairly decent selection to choose from. We shared some of the corn bread (which was delicious). We had the bean and grain sliders which were delicious as well! They haved decent portions. My wings were so generous that I was able to take some for lunch the following day. We're definitely going to go back and visit. I can't speak for what it's like in the summer, but it was a great first experience for us!

Yelp
Love going here with my family. The staff is very friendly and the menu is unique. A classic Fredericksburg dining experience!

Yelp
Valentine's Day ruined. Went to celebrate Valentine's Day. Made reservations based on reviews on our vegan web site. When I called about reservations I was told there would be a special selection for the night which included vegan options. We arrived and were immediately assaulted with the loudest bad music/singer we've ever heard. Ordered two drinks while trying to decide what to order. Our waiters told us none of the special Valentine's Day items were vegan. We could order vegan burgers and a stir fry, but that wasn't what we were led to believe would be available. The noise was horrific. The singer was TERRIBLE. We paid for our drinks and left. We won't be back.
