Sammy's Pizzeria On The Green

Everyone was so nice. It felt like you were with family! There was dueling pianos from 8-11pm. We got the gluten-free Margherita and the Alpharetta. The atmosphere was amazing, I had warm feelings when I left!

Nice place to hang out! Flatbread and meatballs were delicious. Owner came to talk to us and he was very friendly. The only atmosphere was cozy, relaxing and hommieeee.

Started with garlic rolls and Sangria, fantastic. The "alpharetta " pizza was amazing. Perfect crust,toppings,yummy. The Mediterranean salad was great. Could not leave without dessert, it was amazing as well. Sammy the owner was friendly and the staff was great on a busy night.

Waited 2 hours for pizza that never came out…. Seated at 6:40, Got 1 out of 2 pizzas finally at 8:10, and Waitress says “we won’t charge you for the pizza but I have no idea when the other pizza will come out, and I don’t even know if it would even come out, you can wait and see…” We waited til 8:30 and left. Never again. The 1 pizza we got was meh, nothing special. Definitely not worth a 2 hour wait. Never in my life I went to a restaurant, ordered food, and they come to you almost 2 hours later saying they don’t even know if the food will come out, I can wait around and see…

They cooking a georgous pizza and other differents and delicious dishes as Caprese salata… the place it’s nice and the restrooms are amazing…

We visited Sammy’s Pizzeria on a Thursday night. The food and drinks were very good. The service was amazing and very friendly. Their Pizza was very well done and we loved the crust and taste. The location is great. They have live music and since the space is small the whole place was very noisy. People were talking at the top of their voice to be able to have a conversation and that added to the overall sound. We couldn’t have a conversation during dinner. For us this was negative but most of the other people there were having a wonderful time. If you like that type of ambiance, you should definitely check it out.

Felipe took our order and was extremely friendly! Skye was the MOD, was extremely friendly, gave us a short tour of their kitchen, gave us insight on the ingredients. The Main St Pizza was fantastic. The garlic knots were super soft and absolutely delicious, as well as the made in store fresh marinara sauce. It’s a bit on the middle of pricey, but best bang for your buck pizza I’ve ever had. I don’t think I’ve ever had a better pizza.

My daughter and I stopped at Sammy’s tonight and were greeted so warmly by the owner when we came in! Lexi was our waitress and she took great care of us- we appreciated her recommendations and we so pleased with EVERYTHING we ordered- garlic knots/flatbread and a pizza! Lexi brought me a delicious margarita and made my daughter a special mock tail- we received our food quickly and enjoyed every single minute of it! The atmosphere was fun and casual. It should also be noted that the bathrooms were SUPER clean and smelled amazing! We are not from the area but will definitely be back when we are in the area!!

Alpharetta downtown Pizza place. Great place to hangout with friends/family or a game day. They have tv screens inside the restaurant. Suprisingly pretty empty when we visited. We tried the garlic knots and pizza. The marinara sauce with garlic knots was spot on! The knots itself were burnt a little bit on the bottom. Pizza is subpar (not bad but not great either someone where in between). Decent service. Plan ahead for parking. Might get tricky over weekends.

Parking: not bad. We parked in the parking garage in downtown behind the green. Service: we sat at the bar and the bartender was really amazing. Very friendly, great service and had a wonderful personality. She was amazing. Ambiance: we went at lunch so it was not really busy, was quiet. Had many TVs to watch sports in the inside area. Food: AMAZING. This is my favorite style pizza. Super thin NY crust, crispy on the bottom, really light sauce, great toppings to crust ratio. Fabulous. I had a build your own pizza and my husband had "The Alpharetta". We both really enjoyed it. Speed: this is my only complaint- from the time we placed our order, it took them 45 minutes to get us our food. I know it's made to order pizza but it seemed a really long wait for a non-busy lunch crowd day. I know they are new so I am sure they will work out the kinks. Overall- this will probably be my new go-to for pizza. Great flavor-crust and price/value.

Nice location right in downtown Alpharetta. Good pizza and salad selection, service was quick and attentive.

I'm in this area often, and am very impressed by this restaurant. Pizza and service were amazing. The ambiance is bright and welcoming. Looking forward to returning soon.

Hubby and I were looking forward to trying Sammy's this afternoon and things started out great. However, we never had opportunity to try the food or drinks. Upon entry, we were greeted by the owner, Sammy. Sammy was super nice, introduced himself told us to sit wherever we pleased. After we chose a table, we sat for 15 minutes as the waiter walked by us at least 3 times and never acknowledged us at all. Sammy greeted another couple who walked in, he told them the same as he had told us regarding seating. In less than 5 minutes of them being seated, the waiter had menus and water on their table. At that point, we made the decision to leave because the waiter watched as Sammy greeted us when we came in just as she did the couple who came in 10 minutes after us. I want to emphasize the owner, Sammy was very nice and personable. I truly hope this was an oversight and we can consider visiting again.

Finally. Amazing service , great atmosphere and great food. We are residents of downtown Alpharetta and have been searching for our "place" since we moved here. Sammy's is it! The vibe, the staff the food. All so wonderful. We longed for a place where "everybody knows your name". Sammy's is it !

Such a fun place to hangout. Food is great and the music is perfect. It's also a great place to watch a game.

We had lunch here, ordered an Alpharetta pizza and garlic knots. Service was good, the food came quickly. The pizza was good, but the garlic knots were bland. Not much garlic to speak of. Won't order those again. Not sure if I would go back for the pizza (it wasn't mind blowing), but a nice lunch place overall.

Actually went to try Sammy's for the first time on Sunday 3/10. Unfortunately they were closed. According to Yelp, they're open on Sundays and no hours or sign on their door. Also nothing on website, pretty unprofessional from my perspective.

I've been a few times and tried even more. The pizza is very good, the service is excellent and the vibe is terrific but beware, you never know when they'll be open. Certainly don't trust the hours they advertise because you'll surely be disappointed. I've all but given up on this spot which is a shame. A great pizza joint is just what Downtown Alpharetta needed but this place may not turn out to be that spot.

Best pizza in downtown! Great drinks, good atmosphere. Live music last night was terrific. Definitely will be back.

Nice decor, plenty of TVs. During our meal, they played only John Mayer which we found strange. Waitress was polite but not overly attentive. Ordered caprese salad and pepperoni pizza; there was little to no dressing on the salad and no salt and pizza was ok.

Unbelievable experience! Pizza and garlic rolls were amazing! Lexi and Savanna took great care of us. Highly recommend!

Went after the farmers market. Such a cute place. Great ambiance and the staff was super friendly. Had the mediterranean salad, pretzel and prosciutto flatbread, absolutely delicious. Met the owner Sammie, so personable and kind. Lots of TVs with all the games on. The bathrooms were great as well, so clean. Can't wait to go back.

The pizza is AMAZING, the drinks are always perfect, the place is so clean I trust everything, the staff is so friendly and on top of it, the place is beautiful, and just met the owner recently and he is awesome! I can't say enough about my experiences here!

I've been here twice in the past month. The service and food are outstanding. We did accidentally get a wrong Pizza but Sammie (owner) fixed it for us and the other table. The crowd is super friendly and the music is perfect. Ask Adriana about the secret menu. She makes it herself.

We've been coming here since it opened. After the initial starting challenges... they have become a regular place for us to hang out. The service is never less than stellar. Sammie take such pride in his restaurant, the food and his drinks. Adriana actually bought peri peri sauce for my wife. The flat breads are some of the best, the secret menu has the best wings in Alpharetta. Oh, the music is also great. Give it a try and make sure to say hello to Sammie.

Pizza is very good and service with Filipe & Lexie - great! $7 miller lite is outrageous & most expensive in town! More than the Avalon. Lower to $5. Even Marlows @ Avalon is $4.50!

If i could give a negative review I would. Wait staff is non responsive. Forever to make a pretzel and cheese. And don't go there as a lady by yourself no one will acknowledge you

We sat at the bar which we usually do. Bartender was very attentive. There was a special tonight of a large Pepperoni pizza and draft beer for $15.00. My husband decided to get the special. The crust was crispy and no flop on the pizza. It had a good amount of pepperoni. The crust was light and had a great flavor. I ordered the arugula and prosciutto flatbread. It was cooked perfectly and I loved the balsamic drizzle. I wish it had a little more of the prosciutto and balsamic both. It was very good. They serve Peroni on draft which is my favorite and it was ice cold. This place is a great edition to downtown and we will be back for sure.

Pre-opening pizza's were great especially the meat lovers. Convenient location for downtown Alpharetta activities.
