A very remote and secluded resort for those who don't want to be surrounded by hundreds of tourists and truly want privacy and to get away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. There is no wi-fi, phone or TVs. Bungalows are situated right on the beach with picturesque views of the coastline. There is a gorgeous salt water infinity pool complete with a few of the local crabs sitting around its edges. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Food is fresh and tasty but basic. Sa'Moana Resort is not suitable for those looking for a 5 star getaway with spa treatments and gourmet meals. Its more for the adventurous. The road to the resort is about 20 minutes of slow 4-wheel driving so a car is advisable if you want to get out and about. It is also fairly windy at the resort at times. There is a small gym and kayaks are free to use. Survivor Beach, where Australian Survivor 2017 was filmed, is a 15 minute walk from the resort. Bungalows have a wonderful outdoor shower which is perfect given the climate. My only complaint is regarding day visitors who decided to trek through our bungalow to get to the private beach and consequently were able to look straight into our outdoor shower. Grrrr. Day visitors need to be restricted so they don't interrupt the privacy of those that are staying at the resort. Otherwise, fabulous place for a relaxing holiday.

Loved the location. Very peaceful. Restaurant was nice, it suited my family. The bungalow we were in was the largest one there and it was very accommodating for my family of 10. We had our own private entry to the beach, only problem was the rocks in the sea, if they could get rid of those, I would have rated this place 5 star. Photo is the view from our deck, awesome. Listening to the waves at night was very zen . Cleaning staff were awesome, whenever we return from our outings, bungalow was top notched by them. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

Fantastic Location. However the food was not great and expensive. The bungalows were very average, and not that clean. The outdoor shower was great, but we had no hot water for a day survivor beach is awesome, just a 15 minute walk from the accommodation. Very rustic but if that's what's your after it might be perfect. Be advised the road or should I say Goat track to the bungalows is quite horrendous, pot holes and not sealed, you might be advised to hire a 4wd drive to get there.

Loved the location and the “off the beaten track” nature of it. Friendly staff and clean, functional accommodation with a fantastic outlook of coconut palms and endless ocean. Only 9 bungalows available so the place is quiet, lovely rustic saltwater infinity pool overlooking an untouched coastline. Scenic and remote coastal walks. Good bar and eating area, although food pricey for the standard. Reef is average for the area, although crystal clear water. Do yourself a favour and spend some time here. Giant clam sanctuary a small drive away, not many clams on show but a nice swim.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights and loved it. If you want to feel remote and unwind this is the place. The chef made delicious food. Amy, Tongua, Patricia ... all the staff were wonderful. I recommend the walk to the lagoon

Went for a day trip with the family to swim, unlucky that the village don’t/won’t allow the govt to fix up the road a bit though it was a little rough heh. It’s very secluded, quiet and we loved it. For four adults and three kids (the under 2’s we had were free) we just had to spend min $175WST there. It was a really good deal considering I spend more when we go to the beach, have to take our own food but have nowhere near as much to do like we had at Sa’Moana. We went when the tide was low so there wasn’t much of a spot to swim in, awesome to have kayaking and paddle boarding as an option though. The kids all loved the pool but I wasn’t really keen on swimming in stagnant water. Theres a pipe bringing up the sea water into the pool but there wasn’t enough going out of it, minimal flow, so there was a lot of algae build up at the bottom that it made the pool appear green. The staff were funny and lovely guys and I absolutely loved the beef burgers, not a fan of the banana fries but that’s just my personal preference. There’s a lot to do here with the pool table, board games and snorkelling etc with a very chill and relaxed vibe. The whole family enjoyed our time there 😁
