Best Brazilian Pizza I've had in a loooong time!!

Been trying other pizza joints in my local area. Sampa's is not too bad. I can't put it on my list of go to spots but I can say it's better than a domino's or pizza hut. They do have a variety of homemade desserts.The staff is extremely friendly. I arrived early and they kept me informed my pizza was almost ready.

🇧🇷 BRAZIL (via Eat the World Los Angeles) - Like many foods in Los Angeles, the pizzeria began because its owners missed some tastes from back home. They put this home in their name, the state of São Paulo is shaded into the logo, and scenes from downtown are printed in a large mural on the wall of the dining room. At the top of the Brazilian Specialty Pizzas menu is the São Paulo ($23). The namesake pie has three main ingredients: shredded chicken, sweet yellow corn, and catupiry (think soft, spreadable, savory cream cheese), which is layered over the mozzarella and tomato sauce at the pizza's base.

Came for a late dinner and really enjoyed ourselves. The staff were friendly and gave us the great recommendation of splitting our pizza half and half so we could try multiple options. The Brazilian sausage is outstanding. Great flavor, and pretty quick from order to getting served. Looking forward to our leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The dessert pizzas are a must. Order those by the slice, though. They are rich!

A little messy with the pizza. Ordered half and half. Toppings on one went onto the other. A little small. Atmosphere is much more worn down than Marina location.

Wonderful pizza! Great selection with cuisine of three countries in the same place: Italian, Brazilian and American style of pizzas. Don't miss out and try the 'Portuguese' pizza. Amazing.

Pizza tasted very authentic Brazilian. The cheese was very tastey. I highly recommend if you are looking for A Brazilian authentic pizza.

The best pizza I’ve eaten in USA! I felt I was in Brazil 🇧🇷 the São Paulo pizza is delicious with fresh ingredients. I couldn’t resist and I ordered a slice of Nutella strawberry pizza as a dessert. AMAZING! good customer service as well. I hope you will open a Sampa restaurant in North California.

Great local pizza shop! Love their menu with something for everyone. My little one loves it, the boyfriend loves it and I get my veggie options. We are lucky to have a Sampras in Lomita! There's one in Venice too! Really nice people working there too! Fast and friendly.

I really wish that yelp would allow for half stars. I don't think Sampas is a 4 but it's not a 3 either. We have been trying out different pizza places around the area and Sampas has been on the list for a bit. We decided tonight was the night, ordered *Half & Half* Napolitana and Meat Lovers. The pizza was smaller than I expected, I think they was my original dissatisfaction. The meat lovers was very good, great combo of meats and good crisp. The napolitana was already cold, even though I picked it up right at my order time, which made the cheese clump together. We did not enjoy it, even after reheating. I think Sampas does a wonderful job at having unique flavors, and perhaps we will give it another try.

In the past we have ordered their pizza and it has been outstanding, tonight we ordered, was over and hour late and cold. The manager was very gracious, Jean but was not very helpful in resolving the issue. Apparently they are trying to change delivery companies and it is not working. We love their pizza but they need to watch how they do business with the customer. Blaming it on the delivery company is still a reflection on your business, great pizza (although we have had better, my crust was too thick and the mushroom choices have changed) but the delivery has got to improve. Good Luck, we will have to think twice about ordering delivery in the future.

We live a few blocks away and can't believe it took us this long to try Sampa's Pizza. As soon as we walked in Jean(say it with a portugüese accent) greeted us and had the biggest smile. Told him it was our first time there and we're curious of what they had in the menu. He explained that they had several takes on Pizza's, They had Brazilian specialty pizzas, American & Italian classics. They had A few Salads, desserts and some fun Appetizers as well. They have fun Brazilian drinks and other specialties. We went with half Supreme & Margherita Pizza. We got a side Greek salad as well. The pizza was thin Crust, the tomato sauce was light and the toppings were fresh and delicious! Simple yet so fulfilling with every bite. Safe to say we finished the whole pizza & Salad. The Location is small but very cozy and love the decor they have. The inside had a few tables to fit maybe 20-25 people.. there is plenty of parking in the shopping center as well. Cant wait to come back and try other specialty pizzas. Really loved the vibe and they even have All you can eat as well as another option. Thank you for your hard work and great service glad to have a place like this close to home.

We were hungry for pizza after transitioning our home into 'winter wonderland' mode for the Christmas season. Yelp and the great reviews lead us to Sampa's and our interaction with Gustavo, the owner. They basically have three different categories of pizza: Brazilian, Italian, and American. Gustavo is Brazilian and absolutely nails the Brazilian varieties, we went with a 1/2 Rio de Janeiro (Brazilian) and 1/2 BBQ chicken (American). The Rio de Janeiro is fresh tomato sauce, hearts of palm, provolone, *catupiry, mozzarella & oregano. It was a delicious change of pace, especially when I put on the Brazilian hot sauce. The BBQ portion has big bold flavor with the perfect amount of chicken. We got one pizza between the two of us, and left with two slices to go, if that helps give you some size perspective. The restaurant is small (4 tables), super clean, and a enjoyable atmosphere should you decided to dine it, with idyllic music to set the tone. Gustavo was a great host, ushering us through the menu and making us feel right at home with his food suggestions and genuine hospitality. As first-time visitors he insisted that we try the coconut custard on the house, I was happy with the offering, although it was not super sweet. We also tried the Brazilian flan which is less of a sugar rush than the Mexican flan, I liked it with less sugar. After these two desserts I've come to realize that Brazilian flavoring is slightly tuned down versus my normal expectations. We enjoyed a nice evening and absolutely expect to be back. They do NOT have a liquor license, so don't expect pizza and beer. They do have fun/unique soft drinks and fruit drinks which are from Brazil. Gustavo, you have a nice thing going here, congratulations and thanks for sharing your culture.

My family and I really enjoy this place. Never had Brazilian pizza until trying this spot. The pizzas are very good. Fresh ingredients. We ordered to go and demolished them before I could take pictures. We had the São Paulo and a regular pepperoni and sausage. Nice staff running the place. Will be back to try more.

Love their pizzas and salad. Be prepared to wait as they make it fresh as you order. Pizza doesn't have thick crust and you can even choose gluten free crust. Salads are always fresh. Pasta at times can be overcooked. Staff are always friendly...great service.

Love this place, though I have to confess I've never been inside (all orders through UberEats), some of the best pizzas I've had. My friends and I love ordering from Sampa's!! Definitely a great place for pizza

We were really excited to try this place as it's just around the corner from our house and reviews seemed promising. We ordered a pineapple ham, lasagna pizza, and coconut pudding. Unfortunately, not a single thing we ordered was edible. The crust was chewy and tasted almost raw and the sauce and toppings left little to be desired. I see that in many reviews the owner defends his ingredients as being of high quality (hence the price) but that just did not translate into how it tasted. The pineapple may have been fresh but the proteins looked and tasted like regular deli meat. The coconut pudding was so sweet to the point it was not even enjoyable - it just tasted like condensed milk with more sugar. Really disappointing! We aren't very picky eaters and were not expecting gourmet pizzas by any means, but I can't for the life of me justify the rave reviews.

Wow! This is absolutely the best pizza!!! I realize that's a huge statement but for a couple who have experienced the best in all the big cities and even Italy, to agree on this means it is the truth. The flavor profiles for these are well done and there are so many options-- both unique and classic. We LOVE funghi/ truffle and prosciutto enough to eat almost weekly. Fantastic service, flexible with ingredients and even offering half/half (two types of pizza, one pie). Sit in, take out, or get delivery. Amazing fresh and the next day. So glad we found this restaurant!

I was craving pizza this past weekend and was checking Yelp for the best pizza in the area. I eventually came upon Sampa's Gourmet Pizza. After agonizing over all the excellent looking choices, I decided on the Meat Lovers pizza. Mainly because it didn't have ham, as I do not like ham on my pizzas. I ordered delivery via Yelp, the ordering process was quick and easy. My pizza arrived quicker than the estimate and was still hot. The taste of the pizza was excellent. I especially liked the bacon chunks. I will definitely be ordering from Sampa's again!

First time customer at Samoa's yesterday. After reading good and some bad reviews about the pizzas, I decided to try their food. I ordered 2 pizzas, toppings were good but both thin crusts were burnt! We scraped what we could from the bottom , couldn't eat the outer crust because it was black. The cooks had to know that both crusts were burnt. My problem is asking 'how could they pass the burnt pizzas knowing that it would be obvious to the customers'? Sadly, I will not return there again. My family members were looking forward to having pizza for dinner, but had to scrape the toppings off of some of the more burnt slices.

Ordered meat lover pizza. Super good taste and huge size for 3people. Definitely recommend it!

Very good pizza. Delicious. But probably the most expensive take-out pizza I've seen in a long time, I was pretty shocked at the bill. So be wary.

Handed lone employee $5 for a slice. Says he has no coins. Figure it's not a big deal so I let it slide. I'm handed back $1. I wait a few minutes in anticipation of a slice worthy of the $3.86 price tag that I actually paid $4 for. Pizza was slightly above average. BUT... I never had a slice this small. Anywhere. This morsel they tried to pass off as a slice made the box look big. Laughable. Maybe a couple more pepperoni pieces were placed on my order and was called even. The simplest request failed to equal the hype. All things considered, this $4 morsel is definitely not worth the price point.

I've been ordering the wrong things from Sampas and that's really saying something. I already loved the other pizzas I got, but there is nothing like their signature Funghi Al Tartufo. It is absolute perfection, and it's mushroom-lover heaven. The Prosciutto is another fantastic choice - amazing proscuitto with arugula on top. We went halfsies with Strawberry Nutella and Churros for dessert, and the churro half wins - gotta love the dulce de leche. Strawberry and nutella is super rich, like half a jar of nutella but I can't say that a bad thing. I just had two of the South Bay's best pizzas in a single day. Highly recommend!

This place has been our go to pizza place since 2020, and it has never let us down. I love pizza, and Brazilian pizza is something else. I never thought I'd have the opportunity to try it until we found this place. The freshest ingredients and the most amazing pizza we've had in a long while. They have Brazilian, American, and Italian style pizzas, (and even more recently, pasta) so the options are endless. My favorite thing recently about Sampas is that now each month they have a Pizza of the Month, and they have all been so so so delicious.Try their dessert pizzas as well, so good and really hits the spot afterwards. The staff is friendly and with efficient service. The pricing can get expensive depending on what you order, but trust me for the quality of the pizza and the high quality ingredients it is absolutely worth it.

IYKYK. Full fat cheese makes all the difference. It's more expensive so that's why the pizzas cost more and most places don't use it, but if you haven't had it, definitely try it. It'll be your go to pizza spot when you're in the area. Staff was friendly and the pizza was amazing.

We ordered the Napolitana pizza which was tasty. Next time we plan to try the mushroom pizza, Funghi Al Tartufo. We placed our order via the Yelp app, and it was ready when promised. This restaurant is located in a small, corner shopping center with plenty of parking.

We ordered spaghetti & meatballs. Meatballs were visibly dry looking and once we bit into them they were dry. Very dissatisfied with the quality of the food. Won't order from them again

Great fresh food made to order and great service. I love the flavors. We had the São Paulo pizza (with chicken and corn), it was bomb! Totally would recommend this to my friends and family. I'll have to come back here again sometime.

I ordered last night through Ubereats. I ordered half mushroom with truffle oil and Margherita pizza. Plus I ordered a half guava cheese dessert pizza. My favorite was the mushroom truffle, it was fantastic. Wow! Dessert pizza was so flavorful a little chewy so my gma couldn't have it but the rest of us could. So delicious. I will order again.

LEGIT. LEEEEEEEGIIIIITTT. One of my favorite places to have pizza now! My husband and I came across this place on yelp and decided to try it! I'm so glad that we're never going back to large corporations that never do it right! This place hits all of the wants, cravings, freshness! Quality! I mean .. I don't feel like you're could go wrong. I'll stop talking and go stare at my pizza now.

We took our a Napolitano pizza and spaghetti and meatballs and they were really good. We would like to explore more menu items next time.

First Time Trying This Place and Gotta be Honest Ordered Pizza And Spaghetti With Meatballs. Pizza was Salty and Dough was Chewy. The Spaghetti Was Dry No Sauce and The Meatballs were Un edible. Price was Ok and Service was Friendly but Won't Be Back

I can understand why this place is getting five stars. Being able to order a half and half pizza is big. You can order by the slice, and there are crust options, gluten free and cauliflower. We ordered 1/2 calabresa (fresh tomato sauce, hot Portuguese sausage, onions, mozzarella & kalamata olives.) and 1/2 Naples (Italian tomato sauce, fresh basil, fresh mozzarella, capers & anchovies.). Black olives are a must for my pizza, those went so well with the sausage and onions. These are thin crust pizzas, more of a traditional style, not the thick crust type that has too much dough. Those out balance the taste of the toppings. It's good to have a lot of bread $$$, but not when it come to pizza. The Naples is not for the faint of heart. Anchovies and capers. Salty goodness with mozzarella and basil. Simple ingredients that work. There's a good variety of drinks, from 2 liter down to cans or bottles. I got a lemonade San Pellegrino (Sanpellegrino Limonata). Perfect with the pizza. They also have salads and desserts. I'll try the Brazilian flan next time. The gentleman making the pizzas was very helpful and friendly. And by the way, he can cook! The place is located on PCH (Pizza Coast Highway) near the Project Barley Brewery, which is the next stop. Yes, this pizza is more expensive, but you get what you pay for. The chain pizza restaurants aren't even close, no comparison. Bon appetit!

Ordered through slice and was extremely disappointed at what we received. The entire pizza was a sloppy mess. Pictures included for reference. Tried to call the restaurant to complain but they just hung up on me. Will not be ordering here ever again. Over priced pizza, not worth it. Crappy pizza, crappy service.

Excellent pizza! Tried the Napolitana because I love garlic and fresh tomatoes. Was not at all disappointed! Ordered through the Yelp app which used Grubhub. Don't know what's up with that company but I don't order a lot of delivery and I've had two iffy experiences with them, both pizza orders. One showed up on my doorstep cold and this one ended up on someone else's doorstep. I had to figure out its whereabouts by texting the driver. Luckily, it was still there and a good thing too cuz I would have missed out on a *great* tasting pizza that I look forward to trying again and other menu items before my meat crazy man moves to LA. Hehe. J/k. (I love you!) I think I'll just pick up in person next time, though. Box is their own branding and is sealed which is a new but nice touch. :)

Sampas has some of the best pizza in California. The pizza is so unique and the flavors are amazing. The workers are always very nice and are smiling. If you want pizza come to this restaurant.

Ordered pizza for delivery. Didn't get the soda and dessert I ordered. Never got refund at all. Delivery person said she only got pizza, business said it was given. Nothing was done.

Solid pizza for the area! A bit pricier than I would pay for the size, but the quality was good and it was still hot when I got it to the hotel room. We opted for a full pizza of pepperoni, mushroom, and pineapple, a half and half of the BBQ chicken and the Funghi Al Tartufo, and an order of the Fettuccine Alfredo. The crust on these were perfect. Not too thin for the heavier toppings to fall through/off, but not thick to where you're worried about carb-bombing. I think out of the types we got, my least favorite was the BBQ chicken. Overall, it was okay, but the chicken was ridiculously large chunks of shredded chicken. If you took a bite of that pizza, there would be more of the chicken than any of the other toppings. I'm torn between the other two pizzas as my fav. I could have eaten so much more of both, but I had filled up on eating a hearty portion of the Fettuccine Alfredo. The Fettuccine was a glorious dish a creamy and extremely cheesy pasta heaven with grilled chicken. Ya, I ate too much of it. If I needed pizza in the area again, I'd definitely go back. Online ordering was easy, and the guys working that night were friendly.

I passed by this place so many times and decided to give it a try. Wow, I must say the pizza here is my favorite in the South Bay. It does cost a bit more than others but the crust is exactly how I like it. Thin but sturdy and good chew but not bready. Ordering online is user friendly and they are pretty precise with the time you can pick up your order. I really like that they can do half and half. It's always a struggle with kids. Now I can order pepperoni on half for my kids and my half can be more creative.

Pizza was pretty good but definitely not worth the price point. It was a solid pizza and I appreciated the crust. I wasn'ttoo happy after paying, but after my first bite I had to admit "this is pretty tasty". I ordered half and half Prosciutto and Meat Lovers. After tax and tip, I paid $31.00 for a 14" pizza. That's pretty excessive. And even though it was a good pizza, it was nowhere near worth $31 ($27.01 after tax) And for such an expensive pizza I felt like they are pretty skimpy with the toppings! Basil isn't even complimentary which made me very sad. Sorry to say that although I thought they made a tasty Za, I aint made of money. And honestly as I ate it, I could only think "I could've gotten blaze". Just price point it at $24 or something with unlimited toppings and I feel like you would bring more customers, just sayin.

I ordered the 5 formaggi and a pepperoni and sausage pizza. 5 Formaggi was really good. All the cheeses blended well together. I'd rate it a 9/10. This was one of the best pizza I've had in awhile. I'd definitely recommend this and I'll be coming back for more. The pepperoni on the other hand was too salty and I'm someone who really likes salty food. The crust was also a bit too chewy. It wasn't a bad pizza but it's nothing to write home about. I'd rate it a 7/10. For the price you could get a larger and/or better tasting pizza from a different place.

Went here tonight for the first time after seeing them on FB. We were greeted upon entering by a very nice guy named Gustavo. He was more than happy to tell us about the place and the pizza's. Me and my 3 friends ordered a half São Paolo - half Portuguesa. We all agreed that they both were delicious, The crust was perfect and the toppings & cheeses were perfectly matched. We will definitely be making this a regular stop when we are craving pizza.

The pizza here are thin. Honestly, I am a huge fan of deep dish pizza, but the flavors here are undeniably good. I think most others will find the pizza scrumptious. I ordered the basic pepperoni to test the waters. The zestful flavors and delicious cheese were enough for me to enjoy. I will bet the other flavors are even better. Will be back soon.

IF I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE 10 stars I WOULD..... This is hands down the BEST PIZZA IN LA. I drive the distance to come to Sampa's over and over and over again And I do it HAPPILY. When my mom was given the word she was CANCER FREE, guess what we celebrated with SAMPAS. We love pizza and since my mom had never had sampas, I drove to the lomita location and grabbed 5, and a few salads. And we had the best party to say €%+% CANCER ! Thanks sampas for being a part of that very special day for us. They sell single slices and whole pies. I say get the whole pie you won't regret it!! Want to know my favorite part of sampas ........ the next day I have sampas for breakfast. And my heart flutters with joy. I'm sure your wondering what pizzas I order that made Me falll in love so deeply? Okaayyy don't twist my arm. I order the SAO PAOLO AND FUNGHI. A half/ half pie. WHEWW thank you sampas for being here you bring me joy. Also! The staff at both locations are so so so so so nice ! It's very clean, and you can taste the love in every bite

Been on a pizza kick lately and decided to try this place because of their star rating. First off let me say the service was wonderful. The young man helping us was very sweet and threw in a free slice of the guava dessert pizza because we had to wait for a bit longer than we were told. The toppings are really tasty. My only issue is that the crust is really thin. Now I take the blame for that because o should have asked but the in the photos the crust looked like a medium thickness but it is really thin and unfortunately I really like a thicker crust. Now as I said I can't really ding them for a thin crust but it was also a very salty crust - too salty for me.

Wow, this is some GD delicious pizza! Tried it for the first time tonight, going simple with a pepperoni. Can't speak to any of the delicious looking specialties, but even with this basic classic it is clear this place is a winner. I offered a bite to my wife, who had just eaten a full sushi dinner. Her reaction was "oh my god." And then she went to get her own slice. We will be back.

The pizzas were average. What I loved about this place was service . Both the guys working were awesome which is the big reason I am giving this place 3 stars . Food was quite average honestly. I ordered an assortment of six slices and none of the options really hit the spot. I wouldn't visit again but It wasn't bad . Just didn't work for me
