An older place but great tasting food. We went for the crawfish and it didn’t let us down . Such great flavor and great drink specials. $5 buck mimosa or $15 for the bottle on sundays ( w your choice of juice)

The BAD review- Went in July 27 around 4:30 pm. Our server was Andrea , skinny brunette, I wanted a side of michelada mix with a club soda. She informed me I absolutely had to pay for the full michelada including the beer as opposed to just a side of the mix. I did end up getting a non alcoholic beer with my mix only because she said I would have to pay the same price. But I was very disappointed. The GOOD review- the bartender today , August 17 at around 5 pm, that served us was amazing. Unfortunately forgot to ask her name. Attentive and helpful. Paid the correct price for the michelada mix. We sat on the right side bar if facing the kitchen.

I only go during crawfish season! The crawfish have been tasting the same so their consistency is cool! They were a bit on the small side but hey they still were good.. The place wasn’t that packed on a Friday night very surprising. To top it off I’ll give them a 7/10 for the crawfish…

The food has seriously gone downhill. The wings are terrible!! We tried 3 different flavors and ate none of them. The seafood fondue is hit and miss. Sometimes no seafood and runny. It is a great place to watch sports. Lots of big screens and a great patio. The waitresses are rude and rarely come to the table. Best serv8ce is at the bar. Bartender service is excellent.

I googled seafood places and found this place. I picked due to the patio area as it is a nice day out. Great seasoning of crawfish I got the extra spicy and boy did they not disappoint on that…I will see the toilet later. Service was amazing as I went around lunch time.

Went for some beer with colleagues. Was our company’s favourite haunt for Friday afternoon beer session in the 90s. Attracted by the smell of crawfish so bought a pound with all sides. The prawns were great, crawfish was tasty, but the cons were crawfish were small (had to attack the claws for more meat!), sausage were tasteless, potato and corn were tiny.

I come here about once a month while I wait for my car to get washed next door at Splash Hand Car Detail. This red hot crispy chicken sandwich is one of their lunch specials for only $11! They have pretty good drink specials too and have alot of TVs for the games.

the fish was a little soggy. the shrimp were alright. the coleslaw was watery and unappealing overall.

This is one of the faves on my list same boat never disappoints! My boyfriend and I are regulars here. The have awesome crawfish during crawfish season even better bloody Mary's and Micheladas if you're a michelada fan the staff here is always super awesome! The food there is really good, pretty much everything on their menu is really good! I love their breakfast sandwiches also when we go for brunch. Not sure if that's on the menu or not we found out by chance when another patron had ordered it and we noticed it from across the way and it's now the thing I always order their bread is sooo buttery and soo good! I don't have photos today to share but I'm a frequent here so I'll definitely take tons of pics the next time I visit! I may bump into you here! You can catch me outside on the covered patio bar it feels so fresh in that area when the fans and the wind blows! The only thing this place is missing is a pool table and dart boards! Hope to see ya there!!!!

Great fried shrimp! I was hesitant about the hush puppies but they were some of the best I've ever had. The drinks are also really strong and great here, had the old fashioned and it didn't disappoint. The service is a little on the slower side but overall has a nice ambiance. I would say they could do a better job at keeping the tables cleaned.

The crawfish here is great! And who doesn't want happy hour from 11 AM to 7PM Monday through Friday! Great wait staff at this Richmond location and love the Outdoor

Great fried shrimp! I love that they're open late. I don't love that everytime I'm there I see roaches. I know we're in Houston so to an extent you can't control it but it is a turn off. If they had more pest control I'd give it 4 stars. If the service was a more attentive and kind I'd give them 5 stars.

So I went here with friends for the drinks ,happy hour really, and some crawfish. My crawfish was so darn good it was the closest that reminded me of Louisiana . Ish was good af okay!!! . I had some liquor . I had the margaritas, and it was on happy hour. They were so good and strong.. I had the wings ,Buffalo, and hot honey, and they were okay,i would not order it again. The waiter was cool and very fast. The place was cool and not crowded. I love sams boat .

Great spot for Sunday Funday, happy hour or just a chill date or friends night. I've been here for all occasions. I love any place with a theme and ocean is right up my alley. The menu is mainly seafood or seafood inspired. There is large indoor and patio seating. Food and drinks are always tasty and well prepared. Parking can be tricky on busier days/nights and you might have to pay. On my latest visit, I went during football playoffs. It was pretty crowded but service was still timely and friendly. They do serve crawfish...only one way (no option of flavor or spice). The sausage was sus on our 2nd order but our server did not charge when I showed him that it looked overcooked. As a queso addict, the crab queso is a must. Perfectly made and the homemade chips are the perfect complement.

Service is great, ambiance is lovely with a nice patio. I just wish they had more of a crowd. Food menu gives a little bit of everything but with all the space here I wonder how do they keep this place open with not a lot of people here.

Look and feel is 10/10. Food and service is subpar. Have had better crawfish anywhere else compared to this.

Worst service of my life. We asked for assistance three times and got ignored by multiple servers. The crawfish is amazing but the service makes it a very horrible experience.

Me and my partner cane to sams boat Sunday night and ordered the fried sampler with shrimp and fish TOGO and it was horrible when we got home to check our food the both samplers were burnt and just hard could not even eat it we were very disappointed by this because our first time was way better and for this to be our second time coming back we expected wayy more atleast some food we could atleast eat it was so hard we could not even eat it then we tried calling no answer ever !

My dad took me here so many times when I was as little as 7-9 to watch the fights, the service now is so terrible. I got there during shift change and the male bartender skimped my drink the female one I watched pour 2oz in my cocktail which is correct (I bartend too) it tasted great the male counted 4-5 seconds which is only an oz when you free pour... my husband attempted to get a drink but his ID was on his phone the guy refused service cuz he claimed he needed to see the back of it, my husband also had a pic of the back which the guy made some excuse about something else now this wasn't that serious but they need to get their reply's down when handling the bar told us about 3 excuses instead of just telling us he can't he didn't need a reason to refuse so could have just left it at that also my husband sandwich had bbq when it was supposed to be without, the shrimp in my wrap was rubbery/overcooked. I have such good memories here, such a shame to see it like this now.

After all these years of driving by, I finally stopped in to check it out. I really didn't know that it would have good seafood. I thought that it was just a bar. But... the crab cakes were the meatiest that I have ever had and the creamy cole slaw...one of my top three favorite foods... was perfect. They had a Saint Arnold's lager on tap and the service was right on time.

I wouldn't go here, management is extremely rude, they have guys/scammers in the parking lot charging for parking. I paid for parking thinking my car was going to be safe and got my car towed and I was a paying customer!!! The manager there cussed at and me told me " He don't have anything to do with that " and threatened to call the police if I didn't stop talking to him. When I only had questions. They said they didn't have any cameras on the property to verify anything that happened.

The food is OK but the boiled crawfish is NOT good. Service is good. Patio is spacious but the cats roaming the patio made it so uncomfortable to eat & I hate cats so we had to skip the good breeze & freeze inside.

Don't come here! I saw a bunch of cockroaches and on top of that they towed my car thinking o wasn't a customer there. When I talked to the manager he said "it's out of my hands even if you are a client here"

Great service... Nice atmosphere.. Plenty of TVs to watch the game.... Nice size portion with the food, everything came out fresh and out... I really enjoyed the gumbo and the entree.. Good flavor, this was my first time here and will be back next time I'm in Houston..

The crawfish is absolutely amazing very fresh , large to medium size my past two visits ! The flavor is great I got the spicy twice and they are fresh and I know my crawfish number 1 on my hunt so this season

okay so I remember going to this place a long time ago but I recently went there with a co-worker. I must say ... Though my dish looked unappealing and underwhelming... It was quite delicious! The blackened flounder was very flavorful. Asparagus was nice and juicy and my corn was yummy yummy yummy! Not the best ambiance if you want something like that... just a good place to go in and come out... Also had two bites of the bourbon cake... O. M. G. Droooooooool

Sam's boat...what can I saw about the place, it's been here forever and has always been consistently good. I used to frequent this place most weeks as a "starter bar" beers were always cold, and place was always packed. We dropped in for a cold beer a few days ago, place smelled like crawfish, beer was ice cold...seemed like the same vibes...we'll have to go back and eat some actual food next time!

I've been here twice with my sister and her coworkers. They always come here to celebrate work birthdays. The servers are really nice and you're able to bring in birthday cake, etc. Great prices for their great portions! Everything's always tasty, great place to celebrate!!

The service was absolutely horrible. The manager seem like he didn't care that the service was horrible either. He stated "what more do you want, i already comped your drink". Like I didn't ask for anything else to be taken off, I just wanted him to be aware of the service. I also mentioned that it took her over 20 mins to bring out a cup of water, so she came back as I was leaving and stated "sorry it felt like it took that long, do you want a water to go?" like ......

I don't come here often as I'm a 40 year old woman. I stopped by end of night for just night cap with my dog. I live right down the street. Every one was pleasant for the most part at beginning. I tipped the bartender $10 for one beer I was joking around with the guy next to me about tipping and we matched. He was laughing for Like 15 minutes and being cool then all a sudden he freaks cause my dog is on the bar. My dog was on the bar from the very beginning and no issues it's end of night like last 15 minutes bar is open. Every thing is fine having a good time then BAM guy which was chill goes nuts about my chihuahua 6.9 lbs. on bar which she was like the whole 16 minutes we were there. The bartender yanks my beer guys next to me pick on me. It was crazy. Girls be mindful and don't go alone to Sam's boat, always someone trying to take you down and manipulate you and play you. I did NOTHING wrong! I'm sick of bullies and this bar has them. Bartender became a bully. As a native bartender and native Houstonian I think we need to put this place and staff into place! Wow oh wow! Place is awful staff and patrons bully new people. Not a good thing for a failing bar barely getting by!

Was there today, and was unpleasantly surprised by all aspects of the business. Today is play offs, and most customers were dining outside to enjoy the beautiful day. They had all the TV's hidden , wrapped around the outside bar area so all customers outside couldn't see the play off game. Every single customer outside was BEGGING the manager to come talk to them in order to get at least half of the plastic tint removed so we could ALL enjoy the play off games! We asked repeatedly.., the waitress kept saying, "he's, coming", but never showed his face. They covered all TV's so no one could watch the games as they were outside. I think it's pathetic, that he didn't even come to acknowledge all the customers outside, who were begging him to allow us to see the TV's. Obviously they are short staffed, and our waitress was struggling, but she did her best with the circumstances, and I applaud her for that. Especially since she was the one dealing with customers pleating with her to get someone out there to remove the tarp so we could all see the game, we went there to watch. The manager on this day, at this time is a joke, and has disappointed and disrespected all tables who were begging him to show face in order for us to watch the game. Everyone at the tables had to get up and huddle around the corner of the outside bar, just to see the plays. REMOVE THE TARP ON DAYS THAT ARE NOT COLD!!!! SO MANY PEOPLE CAME OUT ON THIS BEAUTIFUL DAY TO WATCH THE PLAYOFFS, and NO ONE COULD SEE A SCREEN!! And for the manager, that refused to show face and handle an easy customer service situation.... please, just do better. The pictures posted are what the patio looks at when they are trying to watch all the TV's, but they are wrapped in tarp, on a warm, sunny beautiful day.... The second photo is how we are all trying to huddle under a corner to catch the game, and leave our table to see what's going on.:: because they refuse to remove the tarp, and refuse to come and face the customers asking to remove a small section so we can all watch the game. There were more than 30 people begging to watch the TV's. Manager never came through...

Sam's boat is taking a new direction of racism. Yesterday we were racially profiled by a waitress and the night manager. My family and I showed up after work around 10:15 pm, and we were asked for our ID's. We told the waitress that two of our party members didn't have it due to coming from a job site, but it was weird because we were there two days before, and we were never asked to show any identification. She walked away with an attitude and went to call her manager. At the same time, she questioned us if we had been drinking before. She said that the eyes of someone at our table looked "WEIRD" I politely told her that we worked in construction and that my cousin was not drinking before and that around his eyes, he had overspray paint. She stopped to talk to the table next to us with the best attitude. The manager approached us and asked, "What is the problem here?" I responded, " I didn't know we had a problem," and explained the situation. The manager asked us to leave because at 11 pm they turn into an adult-only restaurant, and we needed to provide identification. We went back home to pick up our IDs to show the manager that we were all adults when we got back. The same waitress refused to give us service, and the table next to us was all minors, and they were never questioned or asked to leave. I have never felt so discriminated against before, and, sadly, we got judged on our appearance based on being hard workers. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS PLACE!

It's okay nothing to brag on I ordered the stuffed jalapeños and the Snapper Pontchatrain with rice and veggies. My waitress was super knowledgeable of the menu and very nice. My food came out pretty fast l. My stuffed jalapeños were cooked too fast I would say. But overall not too bad of a spot just to grab a quick bite.

Update** Bad experience here! I loved their food, but definitely not their service from our experience! I had a waitress here recently, who had the top part of her BRA in front hanging out when she was serving us as if she didn't even care about her appearance. Her attitude and customer care was very poor! She didn't check on us periodically and our table had to call her over to us when we needed something. My boyfriend's friend didn't even like her attitude even when he tried to talk to her so she can have a more of a professional behavior, but nope. He even went to GET our food BY HIMSELF because she lacked the service! At the end, our tab was about $97 and I left a $10 tip (even if she didn't do much) and she complained about the $10 for the tab. HA! People who think they are entitled ANYTHING, because of their title or occupation is ridiculous! I'm definitely not going to pay my money to someone who didn't even put worth the effort! Our friend Cris even said we should of never even tipped if she was going to throw it in our face about the amount of tip she didn't even deserve! Regardless we spoke to the manager, Mason and she had already GONE to him and spoke about what she had said to us, because she knew it was wrong! Her explanation was because she knew one of us from "the past" that was the reasoning of her behavior, she was "comfortable" to do so, when we all explained we are NOT a her friend or any of that sort, whatsoever. We are just like any other client that walks in here. My boyfriend Omar says he used to see her sister come in his past jobs to eat, that's it! Nothing to do with the waitress, Sara or being a friend. Good thing, Cris had everything in control and explain to the manager Mason that REGARDLESS if we knew OF her or any of that sort, that kind of lash back isn't professional especially if she was trying to get the best tip! We eat around the spots here in Galleria often, and our tips depend on WAITRESS' service not the amount! I spent more tipping than my food amount before because of EXCELLENT service. This here, not ever again! That's for sure.

We came in on a Friday night. My friend dropped her ring on the floor and saw the already dead coackroach. DISGUSTING! Meaning it had been there awhile and the floors had not been cleaned. When we let the waiter know she went to tell the manager who just said oh it's because they leave the doors open and it's normal. I have lived in Houston my entire life and have never experienced this! They had said they would have someone come and clean it and we sat for another 30 minutes waiting for the check and no one came. The manager never came out and when I asked for a corporate number he gave me a fake phone number. The manager on duty was Logan who is the general manager. They refused to give me any contact info for Stephen David whom is the president of Aloha Restraunt Group which own Sams boat. Awful customer serivice no one should come here if you're wanting to eat someone knowing that there is not cockroaches. The tables were also sticky and not clean.

HORRIBLE service! We waited 15min before anyone approached us to get a menu or any type of service. I walked up to ask for a manager twice and no one ever came out to talk to us. The waitress had an attitude and it was basically an all around bad experience. Will definitely think twice before coming here again.

We stopped by on a sunny day searching for a place to eat crawfish & drink cheap beer outside in the sun, and that's exactly what we got. Our server got us started with a pitcher of Ziegenbock (kept cold with a bag of ice) & a few pounds of crawfish. She regularly checked up on us and made sure our table was attended to. The crawfish themselves were pretty massive, and we ordered some extra sausage on the side for good measure. Come for what it is, and you will have a good time.

Neat spot to hang out with friends, enjoy some adult beverages and eat. Diverse crowd definitely keeps you entertained if you are a people watcher. My go to is their sampler plate, a lil bit of all the goodies!

Ordered from DoorDash first time on Mother's Day and so impressed with the quality of food and the extra care they put into packing it up for delivery, we ordered again on Tuesday evening. Got the Sampler Platter and everything was fantastic! Catfish cooked perfectly and the shrimp was heavenly.. highly recommend the crab queso and the sweet potato tots. Everything was hot and fresh and made to order.. Richmond location is the best!

Let me start by saying that once again (if you read other reviews of mine [people do do that lol])you know I'm in desperate need of HALF STARS. I say that bc in total I would've liked to deduct a star and a half from the 5 but we'll go with 2. For starters, it took a long while for my wife and I to be recognized after seating ourselves. I probably would've fathered a host of some sort, even if not a traditional one, to alert the server that she had a table but whatever. Now, arrival issues aside, I actually had a good time there. The game was on on the patio via huge projector screen, which is exactly what I came for, and the tequila was cheaper than the beer which was a good problem to have lol. So, affordable drinks, chill atmosphere. I ordered two orders of the half dozen oysters they had for special and one order of shrimp. Oysters were solid but not great; shrimp wasn't that good haha. The double tequila shots for $8 dollars and my blue moon made up for it tho. They also had a fajita man out front that smelled got damn delicious but I didn't come for that so maybe next time! All in all, I'd say it's the perfect casual drinking spot if you want a chill place to come hang out and go home. Check it out on some free time!

A large group of coworkers and I went to Sam's Boat for a fun happy hour event. I had never been here, even though I am quite close, so I was excited to try this place. The parking is actually pretty ample for restaurant/bars in the area so that was a bonus. Upon walking up to the establishment I was pretty happy with the overall laid back fun vibe of place. It really is pretty neat to be honest. We made our way inside to play Bingo, have some appetizers, and enjoy some drinks. They had a nice app spread at the back of the section we had saved. The food is typical bar food. It's nothing special but it's nothing too amazing either. There was some good, bad, and ugly. I wasn't overall impressed with anything but it's decent. So let's get to the drinks...The drinks are extremely watered down. I don't just mean a little but quite a bit. I had three mixed drinks with different liquor and all of them were very weak which is quite disappointing. The glasses themselves are small and you better believe they are packing in the ice. If you do go, I suggest grabbing a beer so you know your money is well spent. The service was interesting. I think our poor waitress was slightly overwhelmed which is understandable but our table was constantly trying to call her over and we got very little. The tables condiments looked like they hadn't been wiped down in quite a while so that was a little gross. I specifically picked up the salt shaker to look at the bottom and there was a ring of something so I immediately put it down. This place definitely has a lot of potential but for some reason it just...missed the mark.

Details matter. Sams has kind of a dive bar feel to it because it doesn't have the consistent glitz of a big chain, or the trendiness of a new, small venue. Before COVID, I thought Sam's was OK - it had a casual Margaritaville feel that is fun, but I didn't consider it as my "go to" place. It looks and feels very rustic (by design). COVID changed everything. After lock down ended we were itching to get out and tried lots of places. Sam's was a HUGE step above everything else ... because of the DETAILS. It still has a totally casual, party, Margaritaville feel, but if you are looking closely, you notice things that were done WAY better than everywhere else: 1. All of the staff are still wearing mask AND gloves. Most other places give lip service to this but don't take it seriously. 2. After a party leaves, there is someone cleaning and sanitizing (literally with chemical sanitizer) every table - immediately. Most places are still only cleaning with a damp rag. And these are OUTDOOR tables. Most places don't even bother to wipe outdoor tables (just throw away trash). 3. Silverware comes in a sealed, sanitized bags. 4. A small label has the initials or who sanitized your table 5. And of course, the old adage is true, if you want to know how clean the kitchen is, look at the bathrooms - they keep them clean. I am now a big fan of Sams Boat

ZERO STARS!!!! This place has THEE absolute WORST service ever! I will NEVER return! It was my first visit (I advised the so-called Manager who pulled our server away to take a pictur)...We were not greeted, nor did we receive friendly service. We asked the waitress for recommendations and she rolled her eyes...We asked for a different server (African American male who was very hospitable)...Asked the manager for a SAMPLE of the soup and he said "we make a huge pot, but we don't offer samples"...STICKY, NASTY TABLES; HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE ATTITUDES, SAMPLE OF DIRTY CRAWFISH; but you don't offer a sample of soup? His attitude sent me ‍‍‍‍I will NEVER return (and we tip VERY WELL)

I didn't know what to expect, the reviews were all over the place. I will say, the food, actually pretty good! I had boneless wings (spicy bbq and spicy garlic) to start, so good! My main meal was the shrimp basket with red beans and rice. Very tasty. The live entertainment was a lot of fun. It was a very laid back, chill atmosphere. The service was incredibly slow though.

Do not park there you will get towed! Also if you want to dine there and walk to the club next door you will get towed as well. I will not be returning this establishment or area

Wow Jeff Vice president just called me defending Cotton. Then hung the phone up in my face! I'll be sending the video to Isaiah factor tonight. He Sunday Funday turned into Racist unsolicited comment from the General manager Cotton. After he turned the TV to the NBA games he came back to the bar and said! " I hope the LAKERS SEASONS CRASHES AND BURNS LIKE KOBE DID!" -Cotton My response: wow he was a basketball hero. Innocent people died in the plane crash three 13 year-old girls died. 9 people lost their lives. How can you say that! (I was crying) I'm telling him. I actually played basketball my mother has been a basketball coach for over 30 years my little sister plays basketball for TCU and my brother is currently playing basketball overseas. I currently work for Nike tournament of champions and we will be hosting a tournament at Kobe Bryant facility in May. I don't want to hear nothing like that coming from someone who works at a SPORTS BAR! The General manager. Cotton- what Kobe did to those girl(s) raped them! Me- you mean Girl one women and we really don't know what happen. Still. Cotton then left from behind the bar. Logan the manger who was helping us earlier walked by. I told him what happen he was shocked and told me he was his boss (GA) Cotton saw me talking to Logan and when he walked by he said and I quote "oh here we go " Logan went to the back y'all to Cotton. Who later came back and trying to apologize but it was too late. His True racist colors have already been shown. We then got into another heated argument. Where other customers were involved and I told him exactly what he said and they were just as upset as I was. He then instructed the bartender to no longer service after I did nothing wrong. First off I would like to say thank you to Ashley our bartender she was great! Logan started our tab but passed it to Ashley. We closed our tab with her before she left! I will be taking this as far as I can because what he said was the most disgusting comment I've heard about someone death. I don't think anyone who works in the sports industry bars restaurants clubs should display any type of racism in the year 20

We love coming here with our kids because it's one of the few places with outdoor seating right next to their playground. Their food is also pretty good with a lot to choose from (shrimp crab avocado salad, magi sandwich, shrimp basket, mixed grill, boiled seafood, fish tacos, etc. + a great kid's menu). The waitresses are all friendly and attentive. When the pandemic started, this was the only place we'd take our kids and it felt pretty safe outside. My only wish is that they'd add outdoor heaters near the tables around the playground. They only have them around the outdoor bar and nuts can't sit there. It wouldn't be difficult to do either because the playground area already has working for lights and fans under the patio cover.

There was a roach on my food that I was going to take home and the young female at the bar Regina we informed her and she started freaking out saying she wasn't going to pick it up and it was crawling on my plate and she didn't try to comp anything instead said "thank you ladies drive safe" that was disgusting I have attached the receipt. You need to do something about the baby roach and train your staff better. And you could comp something.

Service was not all that great. We were basically rushed out the restaurant to pay and while ordering. And the waitress had an attitude, but if you dont mind bad service the seafood is very seasoned 10/10 food 2/10 for service, disappointing.

Always good even though i always get the same food & drinks. Only request is better frozen margarita machine its always watery. Ppl do smake & bring pets & kids on patio. Good vibes, food & alcohol. Always a hang out for me.
