Sam's Pizza

Lots of stuff to do here while waiting for your pizza. Shoot hoops. Pac-man. Air hockey. Racing. Juke box. TVs of course. Old school pizzeria feel, which is AWESOME. It's like Me-N-Ed's used to be before they went all modern. I like this atmosphere better. And the pizza was really delicious! 😋 Decent prices as well. I can see why it's highly rated.

By far one of the best, just like Me and Ed's but less money. Atmosphere is exactly the same without the baker on the wall. Great service with a smile, great food, clean establishment. Definitely going back.

This was my first time trying their pizza and it was exquisite! The crust was perfect and stayed crunchy. The toppings were hearty and tasted so fresh! 😋 The price was definitely a good deal for a pizza of that quality! I ordered a Combination that's what is shown in the photo!

Great little family owned spot. Not in the nicest area. But Sam the owner takes amazing care of his restaurant. Its very clean.

In town for a weekend event and chose this place for our family of 19 to eat lunch. There was only one person working the front counter, place was empty and he proceeded to tell us that we needed a reservation. I was dumbfounded that he didn’t want our service. We were a large party, yes, but the place was empty!! Very rude and I would not recommended anyone going to this place in a whim. Make sure you “make a reservation” even though the website says otherwise. Left with nothing but hungry babies, but luckily Me N and Ed’s saved the day.

The pizza is ok, the chicken wings were super juicy and big. The girl at the front counter was very sweet and polite. I would go back just for the wings, their pizza is missing in flavor. Only issue was we did get sick from the food that night, and we know it was that because it was the only thing we ate that day lol

Probably the best pizza in fresno! It's reminds me Me N Ed's back in the day! The owner has nailed it to perfection! Very clean inside and fun games and Juke box to go with the family or to watch UFC.

The pizza was fantastic, and the restaurant had a family-friendly atmosphere! When I arrived to pick up my order, the pizza was hot and ready, just as I had requested over the phone. The restaurant was clean, and I was greeted warmly as soon as I walked in.

2/19/25 Getting lunch! Called and ordered an onion rings and they are not doing any fried foods. FYI! Ended up changing my mind from a chicken sandwich to a veggie chicken calzone with Jalapeños added. Looked better. He told me it would be ready in 15 min. I went to pick it up. Arrived! Restaurant is nice. Walking in to Sam Hunt music playing was awesome! They have a bar right when you walk in. Lots of bar tables, regular tables and chairs. Arcade games too! Paid for the order and he said it was almost ready. Waited a few. Great, fun atmosphere. He brought me the order with a smile and said enjoy! Thanked him & left. Lunchtime! LARGE calzone! Definitely sharing! Half is plenty! It was Really DELICIOUS! The tasty fresh jalapeños made it even better! Cheesy with plenty of chicken. The calzone bread is seasoned and really Great! Flavorful! Good service & GREAT calzone! Highly recommended!

I came here on a weekday afternoon and had a very pleasant experience at this restaurant. I ordered garlic cheese bread, a meat veggie calzone, and a small pepperoni pineapple pizza. I came before lunch time and there is plenty of seating in the restaurant. I liked the array of options for pizza, calzones, and cheese bread. They also make chicken wings here where you can order the sauce on the side. I think Sam himself took my order and had a nice mustache. The food was freshly made as soon as I ordered and ready within 15 minutes. It was great to know that everything is made fresh. And it tasted fresh too. Crispy crust yet the dough was moist and the ingredients were also fresh. The meat and veggie calzone also had a large variety of meat and vegetables as well while the garlic cheese bread had plenty of cheese and garlic and packed with flavor. I also appreciated the tasty ranch and jalapeños you can purchase on the side for $0.50 each. As others have stated, the pizza here is similar to Me-N-Ed's without the long wait or crowds. And the seating here is plentiful. I would definitely return and love being able to support a small business by purchasing quality food here. Delicious and quality food!

I met the owners daughter Tanya and she mentioned that their family had a pizza business. Went today and ordered a pie and it did not disappoint. Crust was crunchy and had really good flavor. It was cooked perfectly. Definitely going back to support. They also do draft beers as well. Nice hangout spot after work. I highly recommend.

I would give this place 10 starts if I could. The service was great and the pizza was AMAZING. The crust was crispy, and it was some of the best pizza I've had in Fresno/Clovis. It's comparable to Me&Eds pizza. They make their crust fresh, and the ratios were perfect! I would 100000% come again and If you like the pizza from Me&Eds, you NEED to try this place!!

They were willing to accommodate my last minute order for my daughter's birthday party after our first option absolutely left us hanging. As soon as I spoke with the gentleman at Sam's he confirmed he'd have my 12 or so large pizzas ready 30-45 minutes from that point. I showed up exactly 30 minutes later and watched him box the last couple before strolling right outta there in the timeframe I needed. The pizza was a hit, everyone enjoyed it, and the respect this place showed me as a dad and as a customer makes me feel better about society. I realize that sounds melodramatic but it is what it is; In today's world courtesy, respect and providing good service has taken a backseat to greed and rudeness. Sam's gets my full respect for how they conduct business and I thank them for helping make my daughter's party a great one.

Upon walking in, we were greeted and was assisted in ordering. The area to sit and eat is very clean. There's a bar area. There are also claw machines, a basketball play machine , and an air hockey table. The girls and man explaining the prices for half and half combo large pizza was a little confusing because they charged a dollar for half and half and another dollar for white sauce. It was no big deal but kind of awkward. I've heard nothing but good reviews so we decided to try it out tonight.

After hearing about this place I decided to finally give it a try. From the beginning you do have the old Me-n-Ed's vibe. The place was a blast from the past. Pizza was exactly like it use to be. The taste was not what i expected. I do wish there were more toppings. It was a bit skimpy. The service was excellent. I will go back and give it another try.

This reviews comes from me my brother and my girl bought a large pepperoni pie all had one slice and said we won't be coming back here again. Ranch is 50 btw so far still in search for a good pizza joint in the 559

Ordered a large pizza and it was ready for pickup in 15 minutes. But the taste was amazing! Sam is a one man army! Awesome pizza from an amazing man!

The pizza is good. It really has that no flop type of thing going and the flavors are good. All in all prob my favorite in town. Just don't mess up and get too many toppings and expect no flop though. It is impossible everywhere lol. The service is great and once again as fast as they can be. The place is actually very big too. Unfortunately seems like no one likes to eat out anymore so It's not as lively.

Okay, for starters I have not been a pizza person in awhile but I am once again. My boyfriend picked up but said everyone was extremely friendly. Sorry there are pieces gone because he couldn't wait for me to take a picture. Pizzas were extremely packed with toppings. Toppings are FRESH! Definitely a must try place if you love Me & Ed's because it'll take you back to when you were a kid.

It's one of the best pizza restaurants in Fresno. It's definitely worth trying. The friendly owner makes customers feel welcome. I like the pizza crush at this location. Food is always on point here. I would recommend Sam's Pizza to anyone who likes pizza.

I've known Sam and his awesome wife and family' for ever his hospitality is awesome and his pizza is to die for his price is so reasonable I highly recommend Sam pizza to everyone you won't regret it.

Sam's Pizza is a great place to get a good pizza, I'm not a pizza lover. As long as it's Sam's, yup yup I'll go , the owner is very friendly. I really love their personal size pizza specials, Their perfect size, go nuts try it urself.

I used to get Sam's pizza 10+ years ago when I lived close by. I've always thought about that pizza through the years but never got around to going back. I just recently went and the pizza tastes EXACTLY as I remember it! Sam's is my favorite pizza by far! Thanks Sam!

Sam's make a great Hawaiian pizza and his pizza crust is awesome. His vegetarian pizza is also great,his toppings are so fresh.

The pizza crust is crispy and chewy with lots of flavor. The combination has the right amount of toppings. I can eat this pizza three days in a row and not get tired of it. Usually when I pig out on pizza elsewhere, I'm sick of it by the end but not with this one.

I found this place randomly when searching Reddit for "best pizza in Fresno". I'm glad I gave it a shot because it was delicious. The service was also great, and I was pleasantly surprised with the price. A little backstory. I was always a fan of Me n Eds, but for some reason the quality had been going downhill for the last 10 years. It got to a point that I stopped going there all together. I would have it randomly at friends' houses when they would get it, but it was bad every time. When I saw that Sam's Pizza used the old Me n Eds recipe, I had to give it a try. After one bite I remembered why I used to love Me n Eds. I'm so glad I found Sam's Pizza, it will be my go-to from now on.

Me and my family came to eat here today. There was only one old man working. I'm guessing it was SAM. He was so fuckin rude. Wish we hadn't even given him our money! Not only was he rude. But the pizza was shit. 3 people out of the party I was with got diarrhea soon after. I saw something recently where this man was crying about his business being slow. And now I can see why. Maybe don't be rude to paying customers and people would want to come back! I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. First time customer. And I will never go back. Not even for a free slice.

I found sam's after my nephew recommended it to me I've been going there ever since. Sam I a great guy and has become a good friend. I've been going there for over 3 years now and haven't once gotten a bad pizza. Since COVID he is take out only now. It's too bad because it seems like it would be a great place to eat there. It's the best pizza by far that I've had in Fresno. Don't let the building fool you. It's what comes from inside that counts.

I'm leaving this five star review for my ex who passed away. He really loved this joint. First of all he loved pizza. They have really good salads, wings, and their pizza is pretty good to me. They had a gigantic huge screen TV for sports games and also some arcade games so I think it was really this entire combination that made him relax and kind of feel like a kid again. Can't forget the ranch! Love you Daniel REST IN paradise! XO

Humble and honest pizza! Can't go wrong, here. He obviously bought an old me and eds, so you know it will be similar. And it was, but honestly, me and ends is going down hill. I feel like me and Ed's is starting to get cheap. But Sam is doing a great job and this pizza is probably better than me and Ed's and he's cheaper. Support this guy as I want this pizza for a long time to come.

Found this place by my brother giving me a slice of pizza he brought over and I was like umm where is this from? And he told me and now I'm hooked, best pizza in Fresno.. that old school me n eds taste before me n eds got cheap on toppings.

By far the best pizza I've ever had. Great owners. It's not Ruth Chris but the wife and I have been on way more dates here than any other place. Even the kiddos request to go to Sam's after school.

Sams Pizza Is pretty much just like everyone has said. They took over the old Me & Eds pizza, its almost the same but definitely better then any Me & Eds Ive been to.

Friday night pizza craving. Ordered sausage and mushroom as the standard pizza order at our house and a late night snack of the turkey club. Pizza was excellent. Imagine old-school is pre-corporate franchise Me and Ed's levels of cheese and crust. Sandwich included a can of soda. Total bill was less than $20. No bad for date night.

First time going tonight and it was so yummy! We got the bacon and pepperoni family sized pizza and mozzarella sticks.... You can actually taste the freshness. And the service was super friendly. Will definitely be returning!

Amazing pizza, amazing service, amazing prices. I wish this place was open late like little Cesar's because if so I'd buy it every weekend. This pizza has the flavors of Me n Ed's with a fraction of the price, and without the snobby staff. Highly recommend!!

So I love Sams Pizza. I usually go to Costco because it's cheap! Really enjoy their pizza as well! I rarely buy me n Ed's just because it can get expensive, real quick, but I love their pizza too!!! So my sister recommended I try Sams! It was such a hit! I both a large 3 topping with 3 sides of ranch and 3 jalapeños for $14!!!! The pizza was so good and fresh!! Man! I can't wait till the weekend to buy it again!! (The owner & his nice were super sweet too)

TL;DR at the bottom. Great food, but these people have no concept of customer service. I called my order in, but when I showed up, they had mistakenly given it to someone else. They said they would only need 10-12 minutes to make it again, but naturally it took 20. Not the end of the world, but irritating, considering I had a fussy 2 year-old in the car. That's the whole point of calling in an order, anyone who has ever had a toddler will understand. No discount offered for my trouble, and barely an apology. It's a shame, I used to come here when I was little, back when it used to be Me N Ed's. I get a little dose of nostalgia every time I walk in, but this last experience was frustrating, and I won't be back. TL;DR - The food is 4 stars, the service is 1 star.

Sam the owner is very accommodating for social events. Ordered 10+ pizzas to compliment our church potluck. Atmosphere is kid friendly. Looking forward to next years social events.

I work near by and come to Sam's for lunch often (mini pizza combo). They have great lunch specials and even specials for dinner which is part of what keeps my family coming back for family dinners. The place is ALWAYS clean and the staff is very kind. If you're coming on a Friday or Saturday night, it generally is pretty busy but still worth it considering the other options out there.

What happened? Please allow the dough to rise and add some sauce and cheese.

This is not a place for a large groups!!! We made reservation for 12. Upon arrival the place was empty. We had another group of 5 who showed up afterwards so I went to purchase 5 more soda cups and ask for more plates. Only two guys working today but one of them gave me attitude because we went over the reservation of 12. The place is empty!?!? And he's concerned with extra people. I would think he'd appreciate the extra customers? I wasn't going to let him ruin my day but let this be a warning to large groups looking for a pizza place...
