Sam's Place Belle Meade

We were visiting friends in Nashville and came here for dinner. The food was delicious and the service was great. I had the Original Club Sandwich with fries and it was delicious. The fries were really good. My husband had the Angus Cheeseburger with fries and he said it was good. Our friends have eaten here for years and said the Salads are good as well as the Reuben. They've had other items on the menu that were good. Sidenote, If you are looking for a place to go to watch a sports event they have plenty of televisions for you to watch various events.

If you are in the Belle Meade area, don’t try to figure out where to eat, go to Sam’s Place! We ate WAY TOO MUCH, but it was perfectly cooked with amazing flavor. The service was so kind and offered great suggestions! We had the ribs, salmon, chicken, salads, pizza, the absolute best smashed loaded potatoes, and topped it off the cookie and the brownie (shhh, but the brown has the edge on the brownie but both are delicious). Sorry but I only took a photo of my leftovers lol but I promise it was amazing! Go check them out!!

I loved the food and the place, but Rachel really stood out. Her patience with my group of students, the big smile always, and the fun service she provided made the place even better. Thanks Rachel, keep up the good work.

I thought I'd try it compared to the Sportsman I always go to at times for lunch. I found it to be more upbeat and the menu to have more to select from. Our waitress was very accommodating checking up on if we needed more to drink . Prices were good for my Budget. I'd definitely say Try it you'll like it . I'm definitely going back Thank you to the Cooks and staff. Perfect for my lunch people .

The food is always good. The Sunday Brunch is always so good. The last time we went we ordered off of the menu and it was very good as well. My husband and I have been many times and have always had wonderful food and service. I would like to mention Samantha who is the Manager and she is always so nice. The last time we went Lauren was our server and she was so sweet. We were greeted with a very welcoming smile and she made sure we were pleased with our food. We have had Chase as our server before and he was wonderful as well, Will be back again soon to enjoy the wonderful food. Thank you! Stella Zortman

Food was very good with reasonable prices. Service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive. Atmosphere is very laid back and employees seem like they are family.

I had lunch at Sam's midweek with a friend at the bar. There was three screens in front of the bar all showing different games and a very attentive barkeep. We ordered our lunch at the bar and received it pretty quickly. Being a vegetarian I was worried I might not have anything to choose from but they had a really good veggie burger. I chose the side of coleslaw and it was excellent. Highly recommend Sam's.

It's convenient to park, because it is located at the end of street mall. Parking is free. Main entrance is kinda not visible. What is funny, because the restaurant is spacious. The ambience is a bit too dark for my taste, but is appealing, specially the bar area. Personally, I don't like booths, rather have traditional chairs. Service was a very good and food delicious. Food portions are very generous and prices are reasonable.

Hard to find a better sports bar option that actually has delicious and healthy food! The salmon, French drip sandwiches, and chicken strips are all delicious! Good selection of tap beers, and a comfortable family environment. The high chairs are good quality, too! We love it and go several times a month.

Had ~15 minute wait on a Tuesday night. Service was slow and pretty inattentive -- it was a while before our waitress took our order and we never received drink refills while dining, and some of our party's sides got forgotten. Overall, food was just alright.

Sam's place rocks! Had lunch with family and friends and everyone enjoyed their meals. From tacos, to club and pastrami sandwiches to salad and pasta everything was tasty. FYI, the blackened fish tacos are amazing. Service was fast and the ambience was casual. Lots of different sports being played on the numerous televisions throughout the place. I'm sure this place can get packed during majors sporting events.

Yes, yes and!!! what's not to love about this place the food is excellent. The bar is quaint there's like 20 TVs around to watch any game that's going on. I love this place and the service is wonderful. I'll be going back all the time.

The service was very good and the food as well The menus was quite varied so there are many good choices. A little loud.

The best $15 you'll spend on an all you can eat brunch anywhere. Buffet came with French toast, eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes, biscuits, sausage gravy, and creole shrimp and grits. Great spot to catch a game too as they had enough tvs to watch from any angle. Phone usually eats first, but the food looked too good and I unfortunately didn't take any pics.

This is an amazing place for families and nice dinners. The service is always the best and the food is amazing. The parking is good. There is a theme and it is aircraft's and sports. There is always sports on the tv so you never miss the games. Over all Sam's Place is a great place for everybody and you will always love your food.

They accommodated a large party of 10 on short notice and never made us feel anything but welcome. They even let us stay a bit after hours to hang out while they were cleaning, which we really appreciated. Ample parking and a clean restaurant. The Cajun Pepperoni Pizza was amazing as well as the Spicy Chorizo Queso. Service was quick and super friendly. We would all come back again, thanks for the hospitality guys!

Food 10/10! Drinks 10/10! Service 10/10! Ambiance 10/10! Perfect place to eat after a nice walk/hike at Percy Warner.

Came for lunch this week and service was very quick. I ordered the potato soup and chicken tender salad and both were great! I ordered and received my food in less than 20 minutes. Prices were reasonable also! I will definitely be back for lunch again soon.

Excellent food and excellent service by the hostess they also have a full bar (don't drink and drive ) good place for family visits during the day

Sam's place is located in Belle Mede from what I was told. It's a family friendly style sports bar. The booth are comfortable and really clean. The music late 70's or 80's rock. (4/4) Ruben- Tender corn beef, tart sauerkraut , horseradish Russian dressing, semi crispy good marble rye. Crispy fries on the outside and fluffy on the inside. (3/4) works pizza- my FIL order it shared with SIL and they said it was full of flavor, crispy crust. (2/4) artichoke- came with tortilla chips, the salsa was good was definitely like pace salsa can't go wrong with it but still just pace. The artichoke dip was hot good tasty nothing to write home about (4/4) hot wings- so my six year old get dry wings she loves them she said they were awesome. I hit a knife against one they were definitely crispy and yet still juicy. She did her yummy dance as she ate them so I say it was a win. My husband order their version of a long island with a float of raspberry liquor, with light sweet and sour on it was good, solid poor from the bar well balanced. Our server was kind, on top of asking for drink refills and checking in on the table. Overall he did an awesome job and made the experience really nice. In the area I would give it a try.

Fun place to watch sports and hang out with family. The food is good. And my kids love their skillet cookies.

If they only had a few more TVs.... Seriously great food and service with a decent beer selection but I can only eat here if I can sit outside. The interior ambiance is terrible with TVs on nearly every surface and a high noise level. If they could improve that we would eat there a lot more.

Dinner tonight at Sam's Place. So good, and on the heels of my last less-than-enthusiastic review of another restaurant, this was such a positive experience (as usual!). The food is consistently delicious, the portions large, and the price point great. I ordered the fish tacos tonight - blackened barramundi with guacamole, pico, lettuce, and a spicy ranch dressing; garnished with limes, cilantro and a tasty salsa. The tacos are loaded to the gills (pun intended ). The tacos come with fries or an alternate side - I have to say...Sam's fries are outstanding! Sorry the photo I'm providing is after I ate one of the tacos and a big chunk of the fries - couldn't help but to dive right in! Some of my other favs here are the Farmhouse Chicken Salad, the Roasted Chicken, the Chicken Tenders, and the burger. Always an outstanding experience with the waitstaff, and worth every Penny!

After hearing from several friends that Sam's was "good again", we've been back several times recently, and our friends were right. We had lunch there today and it was excellent. My wife's salad was one of the best she's ever had. This time instead of being processed chicken on her salad (as was the case on a previous visit), it was freshly cooked and a generous portion. I had the chicken fingers, which are some of the best in the city. Fries were hot and fresh. Our beverage glasses remained refilled. Service was exceptional. If they'll keep this up we'll be back often.

Took the family for dinner. Hamburger, pizza, Wagu burger and ribs. All great entrees. Delicious and perfect for dinner. We watched basketball on the big screens. Fun evening. Will be back again soon !

Great neighborhood place for sports,wings,and pizza! The atmosphere is fun and casual! Great service and good food!

Sam's Place sits in a small plaza on Highway 100 in Belle Meade and is a local, tavern-esk sports bar that feels like it has been here for ages. The first thing I noticed when we walked into Sam's was how dark it was, so this is where the "tavern" aspect comes to mind and once you get past that, you then see the droves of TV's lining every wall, ceiling and post in the place! So, hearing that this place was voted best sports bar several years since opening is not hard to believe. We came here on a football Sunday around 2:00 PM, it was a day where the Titans did not play, so the crowd was tempered and smaller than what I suspect for Titans games. We were the only ones at the front, and it took a few moments to get sat. The gentleman working as host was not very welcoming or friendly, as he just picked up menus and told us to follow him. We did just that, he pointed to the table, sat the menus down and off he went back to the front. On our way to our table, which was about halfway into the dining room, we passed so many tables that were not bussed. It was not just one or two, it was legit every open table to the point that it felt kind of dirty. During our entire meal, every table immediately near us sat with dirty plates and food on it. I get staffing could be an issue, but the Host returned to his cell phone after seating us and during our meal only sat 2 other tables, so not sure if his time was really well used...but I am not the Manager of the place, just a patron with opinions. lol Once we got to the table, our waitress came and greeted us after a few moments. She grabbed drinks and took our order. We tossed in an appetizer of the Spicy Chorizo Queso Dip. It was a solid way to start the meal as it was a thick and rich queso with chorizo, could have been a tad more...but when is there ever enough chorizo? For our mains, I got the Sweet and Spicy Wings with a side of Onion rings and my partner got the Original Club with Mac and Cheese. The wings were excellent! They were meaty, tender and coated in the sauce, which was a tangy spiced sauce that gave you a little kick, but not enough to make you uncomfortable! The onion rings were standard, but well portioned and fried perfectly. The club was stacked high and quite tasty! However the macaroni and cheese fell flat for us both. We of course opted for dessert and chose to go with the Iron Skillet Brownie. Normally it comes with the ice cream on top, but we tossed it on the side. The iron skillet was packed with gooey brownie and topped with a chocolate sauce. Scoop that up with some ice cream and boyyyyyyyyyyy! Overall, the food at Sam's was really great and worth a repeat visit for sure! We were thrown off by the whole vibe of the place and the lack luster service. I feel this is one of those cases where a 3.5 is warranted, but since that is not possible, I am good with 4 out of 5.

I enjoyed the ribs along with the spinach/artichoke appetizer. We also had great service. We will be back.

Got chicken fingers, barely any chicken in it..was pretty much all fried. Very disappointing.

There was a roach in my food underneath my fries. It was fried too so it had been sitting in the fryer grease for who knows how long. Beware.

I eat at Sam's often and love it! Great atmosphere and the food is always spot on delicious! I especially want to commend our server, Annie! Last week I brought my family in for my grandson's birthday. He was excited, spilled his drink, broke a glass...it was a bit hectic. Annie handled everything with grace and good humor and I appreciated her help smoothing things out. That young lady is a jewel and a credit to Sam's! Thanks, Annie!! See you again soon!

One of my favorite places to dine. Lunch or dinner, food is always good and the service top notch - love the ribs and the Ruben! Delish!

I really like Sam's. The people are friendly and the food is always good. Best club sandwich in town! And the Sunday brunch buffet is awesome and not too over-the-top but a little something for everyone who likes breakfast. They've also been super nice with to-go orders and you just pick them up at the back bar. Overall, it has something for everyone and it's all tasty.

Apathetic about your demographic: I'll give two stars because the food is pretty good. What subtracts 3 stars is (1) they refuse to allow service with Uber Eats or Door Dash (2) their really slow response to messages about this topic and (3) standing behind "our corporate policy states we don't use 3rd party delivery services". You have two locations. Let's be real about "corporate policy" tactics. You've placed your restaurant in the middle of a strategic location to get business, good for you. You are not in touch with your customer base though. Most of us are dual income households with children who are very active. We don't have time to call in and pick to go order; that's assuming we don't already sit on hold for 5-10 minutes. There's lots of other great restaurants that do partner with delivery services, and I'll chose those first until the "corporate policy" changes with the times. Until then I'll just label you as "apathetic about your demographic"

We drove to Sams this afternoon around 1:30. There were 18 people we counted leaving and the girl did not give us a table for around 25 minutes. There were ample tables!!! There were ample waiters. She did not seemsto know what to do at all!! Finally we walked up to her and said why aren't we seated. She didn't speak and took us to a table. It took a long long time to get our food and no one asked us if we wanted more tea.

This restaurant has consistently gone up in price until now its 16.00 for a salad ..the portion is pathetic..and they give you three croutons on a salad..the salmon portion is less than a childs size. Also while sitting in the back by the bar I observed a kitchen cook on the line with gloves on stick his hand in the trash can to compress the trash and then back to preparing food...the general manager does not care about the customer

Good burgers but very dark inside. Not a place you want to hang out for any amount of time. It's a shame because it is in a nice location. Just wish there was more natural light or an outside option

I used to come here on Sundays all the time for the brunch buffet. Last time it was cold. Haven't been back in months and today it was cold. Service was good as usual, but by any means do not do the breakfast buffet. Cold sausage, cold bacon, cold biscuits, lukewarm eggs and lukewarm French toast. Just spent $20 for not very good food. I would not recommend this place unless you're ordering from the menu.

Met some family here because they had been once and said it was pretty good...and it was just that, pretty good. We don't get down to Nashville that often but we are always looking for good places to eat when we are here.. Nothing special and certainly not horrible. We started off with appetizers, ordered the spinach/artichoke dip as well as the chicken nachos. I liked the chicken nachos. The chicken was thinly sliced and the toppings were all good and fresh. The artichoke dip was good, but not something I would get again. For my meal, I ordered the Black Label Burger with fries. It's put together nicely and the meat was seasoned well, but...like the artichoke dip, not something I would order again. My wife, and mother in-law, ordered the chicken tenders. While I did not try them, they both said they were really good...crispy outside with tender juicy chicken inside. Service was less than exemplary. When our appetizers were brought out, we asked for five small plates to share everything and never received them. We weren't asked about refills until our meals came out and then we weren't even asked by our server, we were asked about refills by the lady who brought our food to the table. Shortly after our food was brought out, our server stopped by to check in on us rather haphazardly...as of she wanted an answer, but didn't really care what it was.. When finished, my wife asked for a small to-go box which took way longer to get than it should. This place of Sam's isn't bad, but it's not a place I would come back to or recommend. Sorry guys.

The most consistent food and service in the area. We love having Sam's in this neck of the woods. I highly recommend the Cajun pepperoni pizza. Takes me back to the original location days and college.

We have consider ourselves regulars for the last few years. There yesterday at lunch. Pizza & fish sandwich. I asked for hot sauce for the sandwich which finally arrived. Everything was ok. When the check arrived, I was shocked to see a charge of $.29 for the hot sauce! Even Taco Bell doesn't charge for hot sauce. I asked to speak to manager who never showed. I tipped the server, not his fault for the charge. That was a cheap trick.

Ventured here for the first time last night, and it's a solid neighborhood spot. I live about 5 minutes away, so very convenient with easy parking. Staff and customers listening and following rules and wearing masks which made me very happy. Our server, Alli, deserves 5 stars. She is kind, attentive, friendly and on top of everything. Thank you Alli! Ordered the Cajun pepperoni pizza and crust was flat with no flavor or chew. I'm not sure if they forgot the Cajun spices on ours or if it just didn't have that much, but I was not tasting any. A basic pepperoni pizza that unfortunately underwhelmed. I wouldn't order it again. They had many other menu items that looked good... so maybe we just picked the wrong one. Atmosphere was fine. Very standard sports bar/restaurant. Clean. For a chill night out, I would definitely come back.

Good, consistent quality of meal and service. Almost a weekly spot for me! Two locations, both are near places I go regularly. Enjoyed every visit.

I was pleasantly surprised with this place and a little mad that I haven't come here sooner! The atmosphere is great- lots of TVs and very roomy tables. We started off with the chorizo queso and it was absolutely fantastic- there wasn't a drop left in the bowl when we were done with it! I originally ordered the French dip and the loaded mashed potatoes, but they were out of both so I made a quick decision and got the sweet and spicy wings with a side of fries. Let me tell you, im so happy I did! These wings were some of the absolute best wings I've had around Nashville. My boyfriend got the Greek salad and added grilled chicken, the lemon garlic dressing that came with it was out of this world! The service was great, too. We will definitely be back!

My husband and I ate here for the first time after visiting Cheekwood. Nice atmosphere and lots of TVS to watch your favorite sports team. We had great service even though the restaurant was short staffed. Nowadays we just expect service to take a few minutes longer than normal at most restaurants. Our server Cleveland was nice, personable, and attentive. We both ordered a hamburger and fries and both thought it was one of the best burgers we have had in awhile. The fries were also great and crisp. We will make this a regular stop after visiting Cheekwood. Hopefully they will open a Sam's Place in Franklin.

Really love the ribs and Mac and cheese. Chicken nachos, club sandwich, chicken tenders, fish tacos and pizza are other fam favorites. Large portions. Eat there whenever I'm in the area.

First outing to this location and it was unremarkable. This was a busy day due to Memorial Day Weekend. I want to acknowledge the waiter was prompt and the food deliver was timely. The outside dining is limited to the parking on the side street. We ordered the 9" pizza which was eerily similar to freezer boxed pizza and grilled salmon with smashed potatoes and broccoli. The salmon was well cooked and seasoned appropriately as were the potatoes and broccoli. It was not very appetizing to be seated toward the rear near the dumpster. It's a maybe for lunch and inside dining preference.

This applies to takeout order. Bailey at the bar was great taking my phone order and all were courteous directing me to pickup. No surprise why Sportsman's Grille next door has lost business. They USED to be this good, but...We had French Dip and Santa Fe Chicken, both well prepared, tasty and good value.

Cool little "tavern" style place. Went around 3:30 on a Saturday, and the bar was completely full. I grabbed some wings and fries. Both were OK at best. I blame this on my selection. The menu actually looks pretty good once you pass through the appetizer section. Service was great, place was clean, and I like to support any place that isn't a "chain". A bit pricey, but when you have to pay staff so much anymore, I'm sure that starts hitting the menu quickly. I'll be back.

Sam's Place is pretty cool space to visit. They had a big enough menu for everyone to choose something particular to them. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with sweet potato fries, and the meal was phenomenal. My sister ordered the Chicken nachos, and there were way too little toppings versus the large amount of chips they gave us. Very disappointing. They also left out the cheese. My daughter ordered a burger and really liked it.

Sam's and I have had a love, hate, but mostly love relationship. With the exception of an extremely poor experience on Father's Day 2019 (hence the 4 stars) this is my family's go to for dinner and brunch. Great, consistent food, served by a great crew of food servers and prepared by cooks who know what they are doing. I have known some of those food servers since they were in high school. I always look forward to seeing them. Johnny, the manager, is flying around the place bussing tables, seating patrons, and serving food. Clearly he is well respected and liked by staff and customers alike. The food is varied with daily specials. The bar is usually kicking with some game on. They actually know what a burger cooked medium looks like....have never had a burger temp served to me other than exactly the way I ordered it. On any given night you will see families, dates, and elderly couples in THE Place. This is truly a community restaurant. It is the Cheers of West Nashville where everybody knows your name. A solid and reasonably priced choice in any night!
