Sam's Place Nippers Corner

We were in town for an appointment at Vanderbilt. We came in on a Saturday and was looking for a casual place to eat. Our server Caryean has a bubbly personality and was really sweet. When I asked her about the ribs her face litt up! She asked what side I wanted and I asked her favorite, she recommended the onion rings, the were awesome! Our whole experience was great from the moment we were greeted through the moment were were thanked for coming and was told to have a great night.

Our server was amazingly spot on in our table. Food was a bit different from what I am used to but overall not a bad experience, food came out in time despite the place being packed. I didn't take many pictures as I wanted to because the food looked great when it came out and we rather be eating than taking pictures lol

Good spot for a quick lunch bite plus prices are fairly reasonable. I stopped in last week and had the lunch Chicken Caesar wrap. Flavor was good, but definitely needed extra dressing as the sandwich was dry. Service was great.

Delicious foods, great services, and wonderful atmosphere. It's one of the good sports bars in this area and I really recommend it. Always food is good no matter how many times we go there, it is the same as the first time we went there.

Best fries in Nashville! They were good before but they must've tweaked the recipe. Consistently fantastic food, reasonable pricing and great drinks! Our server, Montana, is excellent at her job. We didn't need much but when we did she was on it with a great attitude. I've been there many times and have tried a lot of the menu. Never had a bad dish.

I enjoy coming for happy hour with the 2 for 1 . Everything we have tried on the menu has been good. The kitchen sink pizza and sweet and spicy wings are delish! My hubby always gets the ribs. The chicken artichoke soup that is served on Fridays is yummy! One of our favorite spots to have a chill date night with reasonable prices, good service and food.

Staff was very attentive. Food was first rate and price very competitive. My meal consisted of hand breaded onion rings, french fries, coke slaw, and some of the best baby back ribs I've had. If any complaint I could have had to be given out was that the ribs could have been meatier. So tender and delicious though.

Good is amazing atmosphere is very nice the bar is fully stocked I love this place! The wait staff are also so friendly and kind! Big booths for large parties, always some kind of deal going on and unlimited Sunday brunch? Amazing! I recommend the spinach dip, wings, and chicken tenders!

I loved the Hendersonville location when I lived there and was super excited to see this location minutes from my new home. I've been a handful of times since moving here a few weeks ago (who wants to unpack all day then cook, am I right?) and one of the staff members already knows to start pouring a Guinness for me when I walk in. Great wings, ribs, rice and beans, Guinness, staff, service, price, and speed. I'm happy to become a regular at Sam's.

Sam's Place is the Sports Bar child of Sperry's with TVs on every wall, huge EC planes hanging from the ceiling, a full bar, wine list and great service. The Caesar Salad with Salmon is excellent; the Salmon is perfectly done.

What a great place! Chicken tenders were absolutely fantastic. Ranch dressing delicious. Emma was our server and was absolutely amazing!! We will be back!!!

Finally ventured here and if you like a good sports bar with food, think you found the place. Staff were really nice and on top of everything! We ordered their Sweet & Spicy Wings and they have good wings. Ordered a Lunch Special 9in Cheese Pizza for the kiddo - found out Kids Menu was a mini. Kid approved pizza. Ordered this Veggie with half sausage. It was okay. Sausage was really good! Veggie pizza was good, and nice that it wasn't soggy at all which sometimes happens when you order a veggie. A little too much bell pepper on the pie. The crust was okay, felt a little underbaked and needed salt. However I realized we were the only ones eating pizza and everyone around was ordering the burger, so will have to go back and try that! Good selection of beers. All in all, good experience but probably need to try more from their menu.

We visited on a weeknight, and it was a little busy. (However there were several empty tables). There were a lot of people waiting and we were quoted a 30 minute wait, but were seated closer to 20. However, we waited for about 10 minutes before anyone came by the table to take a drink order. We went ahead and ordered food to expedite the process. We didn't order anything too fancy and the food came out in a reasonable time. The food was fine, however the service here is not the best. We waited for quite some time before a server came back to ask if wanted dessert (we did) and a really long time to get our check. We ended up just getting up and finding our server so we could pay and leave. Who was just chatting with coworkers when we found them. This place used to be great but the last couple of times the service has been mediocre at best.

I usually just pop in here for happy hour as it gets a good crowd and it's one of the best happy hours in tow. Today I decided to try the food. I got the Reuben with fries and the rest of the table got salads. Service was fast and efficient as usual and both salads looks fresh and very well presented. The Reuben was solid, lots of meat, a little sauerkraut with a hint of Dijon mustard all on marble rye. The fries were thin and super crispy; just right for the sandwich. The place is basically a sports bar with lots of room to stand around and watch your favorite game if you're in the bar section. The windows are tinted to give you that dive bar feel. However everything is very clean, including the bathrooms. A pleasantly surprising lunch.

So happy I now live close to this location, as this location is 100x better than the Belle Meade location. Night and day! First up, the Cajun pepperoni pizza, so tasty here. At the other location it was not seasoned well, not enough cheese and crust burned. But here, everything spot on. I wish they had some hot honey in house to drizzle on it, but still a winner. My favorite thing to order is actually their Caesar salad with salmon. Pro tip: add tomato and feta. *chefs kiss* -- I'm a Caesar connoisseur, and this is one of my favorites in town. Dressing tangy and right consistency to hug everything without being overpowering. Salmon perfectly cooked. Lettuce crisp and fresh (you'd be surprised at the amount of places serving wilted brown lettuce in salads). Service is excellent. Interior very clean. Don't love the bathrooms (those get neglected from time to time so sometimes dirty), but I live so close if an off day I can just drive home and not worry about it. Prices are reasonable and you get what you pay for. I'm not a huge sports person, but if you are, they literally have anything you can possibly think of to watch. Last time I was there we watched a hot dog eating contest. I'm sad to admit how into it I got. Like a car crash... I couldn't look away. Anyway, nothing but good things here. Keep it up team!!

I love Sam's Place. For a sports bar. It's much better than any other one. The burgers are mediocre, so are the wings and pizza. But that's not what I go for. Their guacamole and chips are incredible. I have no idea how they make them so well. But I go for the salad and salmon. Absolutely incredible. The salad is fresh and with homemade dressing. The salmon? That's a treat. Once you take a bite, you can't put it down. That said, I'm not a big fan of sports bars, but this one is great. If you're looking for chips, salad, salmon, and good drinks, go to Sam's.

Food On point! Went with a huge group of coworkers and everyone said the food was delicious. We ordered ribs, blackened barramundi fish tacos, homemade veggie burger, southern coleslaw amongst other items. Seasonings were spot on, veggie burger had a great balance to it. Service Considering we had well over 20 people, the service was quick and very attentive. Drinks were constantly filled and the entrées came out in a reasonable time. Ambiance It had a sports bar vibe with the vast amount of TVs and the groups around the restaurant. Definitely a great place to hang out on a Friday during happy hour.

We met friends for lunch on a cold December Friday and felt very warm and welcomed here! Our server was very sweet, helpful, patient and attentive and someone else stopped by to see how things were going, as well. The music was on but not bothersome so we could chat, plenty of televisions to glance at for a score, but not distracting. It's a huge and very clean place. Three of us got salads- they raved and finished the perfectly sized portions. I got a veggie burger off the $9.95 lunch menu which was pretty good but crumbly, and we all shared my side of tasty onion rings. Overall- nice bar menu, fun place to meet friends, and very friendly!! I'd return!!

The food is always delicious. I get the salad with chicken. The ranch dressing I understand is homemade. It's awesome. I dipped my crackers in it! The service was very fast. I asked for crackers with my salad, and they brought me some.

Love coming here on a regular basis. I love the pizzas and the Salmon is off the charts good. Jewels is absolutely amazing !!!!

Being a fellow Sam, I absolutely had to try this place out! Not going to lie, expected a simple bar with simple food. I could not have been more wrong! First off, the place is more like a restaurant with a bar (I expected the opposite). Second, the happy hour is AMAZING. And that's coming from someone who was born and raised in vegas! Comparable happy hour prices! Then, the food was way better than I expected! Got the artichoke dip for an appetizer and then the fish tacos for an entree. Both were tasty. Will absolutely be coming back to try more food options (prob the pizza next) and take advantage of that happy hour! Sam's place for the win!

Ok - First off this is really a rarity. This place is our neighborhood Bar/Grill and we go there frequently enough. This was a bad situation from the start. We came in at 6.30pm on Christmas Eve. The place was hopping. We were seated promptly but no one came to check on us. We were in the middle of the room, lots of staff all around but no one looked at us. After 15 mins I got up to check with the hostess - she said someone would come soon. 10mins later someone did come and was astonished to hear we were ready to order. (Seems that the staff for this table had just been released for the day so no one was waiting that area) We ordered drinks/food at one go - 15mins later the drinks came. 30 mins later the food came - cold and somewhat incorrect. They had run out of stuff, they didn't know until the food came out, etc. I had the Tenders/Rib combo on a hill of fries. All tepid at best. A basket of fries came out cold as well. (It came with the roasted chicken that was supposed to come out with mashed potatoes) They brought a new fresh "basket" which is smaller than a McDs Large fry and we all shared that. The "hill" refresh was not offered. Husband got the salmon w/broc. The brocolli was cold but that is about par at this point. The ribs were dismal - my mistake. I'll stick with the personal pizzas in the future bc how can you go wrong with that.

I have reviewed Sam's Place in the past and the food was better last go round. Maybe our selections were not the best choice. They are always attentive, quick to get you seated and have a full bar. The menu is very broad so there are plenty of items to order. Lots of televisions to keep you entertained as well.

Friendly staff and patrons. Stopped here my first night in Nashville and will definitely be back. Food was great and they had the game on.

This is the best food we've had since moving to Nashville!! I got the caesar salad with grilled chicken and it was absolutely delicious. My boyfriend got the traditional buffalo wings and he said they were some of the best wings he's had. There was an issue with their ticket printer, causing our order to take a little longer. We hadn't even noticed the delay since we were in conversation, but our server took it upon himself to correct the issue and get our food to us ASAP. Who I'm guessing was the manager gave us some gift cards to use which was very appreciated! Our server was very kind and personable! He was also very knowledgeable of the menu. We will definitely be back here!!

Back at it. This is a pre airport fav. Today's rose is a half rack of ribs, fries on the side. Dessert is the OG cookie skillet. Service was great and it was happy hour so half price drafts.

I was just in there 4:50PM not so busy. We got seated immediately. Nobody came to take our order not even drinks were offered to us. We kept seeing people coming in but us we weren't even offered anything. I love the food here but after the service today i don't know if I can come back. You guys can check your cameras me and my wife walked in and weren't even looked at. I even tried calling for a waiter but was just ignore.

Sam's is a go to neighborhood sports bar and grill. The service is always excellent, and the food is exactly what the doctor ordered!

This place wasn't bad!! If i could give it a 3.5, I would. i had the sink pizza & it was delicious! my husband had the ribs & chicken tenders, but the ribs weren't that good. barely any meat, was mostly burnt, & mid taste. my sister in law had the french dip & said it was delicious -- she gave it a 4/5. overall good food & good service

Great food. Companion had 9" pizza, I had Buffalo wings. Both were delicious. Our server, Jamie, was so attentive and helpful. Definitely will be going back because there were too many good things on the menu to try. It was fun watching all the sports games as well.

First time eating at Sam's Place and was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was for a sports bar. Will definitely come back.

First time experience is everything. They must be short staffed. Lady at the front playing with her nails. It seems easier for them to seat the customers then to actually get their orders. I came with a friend and we been here already for 10 minutes and counting. Atleast bring a glass of water or start with our drinks. No one has came to attend us yet. My first time here as well. Will most definitely be my last time here. Wowwwwwww a server finally attended us, Atleast she was friendly. Meanwhile the party of 2 that' was sitting next to us definitely had less patience than us. We was about to walk about right behind them but the server showed up. Let's see how the food here taste Atleast. Why do they not have Hennessy? Well a shot of Jack it is. After waiting for our shots. There was a shift change with the waiters so we had a whole new waiter. Everything seemed so great after that change. Tho the employees that sat us down were still there and all the other employees that were there are still here so it looks like it's just the waiters that had a shift change. Almost made me want to change my mind about coming back. Well I ordered the chicken tacos with the pepper jack Mac n cheese. It wasn't bad at all. Now to my 3rd shot of jack Daniels. Ok 2nd waiter was definitely awesome!!!!!!!!!!! The 3 mafia greeters in the front are on some other issues.

Absolutely the best neighborhood restaurant. We all love Sam's. The Sunday Brunch is for the hungriest of crew and delicious like everything else. At busy times, it can be understaffed. Use the option to order take out.

Food was very good with not much waiting. Best thing of all was the server, Jordan. Attentive, friendly, on top of every need before we knew.

Quiet at Sam's today. Last time was during a Titan's preseason game. We got in but the place was packed! Today- an odd hour on a Friday, not too busy. Food great! We were very happy with all of it, see pics. Service was fantastic. Sam's is a great local place. Big screens everywhere. Seriously all around and in between - screens. Great place to watch sports. Good music playing today. Only loud on big game days.

A sportbar at its finest. The food is neither exciting nor terrible, but it's not a destination food adventure. We had wings and nachos, which were fine. The wings were cooked well done (as requested) sauce on the side. The sweet heat sauce was oddly flavored, very Worcester heavy tasting. Finally we also shared the chicken tenders--the breading is light (battered, not breaded). The texture of the tenders became oddly soggy very fast, though the ones that remained crispy were good. We would come again for a beer and a football game, and would probably stick with a burger.

Sam's is a solid neighborhood joint. The wings and burgers are delightful and the happy hour is until 7pm (a win). The specials are always a fun way to mix it up and everyone is happy here. The sweet potato fries and the house-made ranch is the combo you didn't know you needed. Let the universe tell you when it's time to try this place and you will enjoy it.

We love Sams Place! We come here often as a couple and with our kids and have never been disappointed. Their happy hour is great! The menu is large with a variety of choices. But we keep coming back to the nachos as a favorite. The skillet cookie and brownie are both delicious as well. For the most part, our service has been good and attentive. My only complaint is that it is very loud in there, but I can also acknowledge that it's a bar.

Food is good, atmosphere is good, and most of all their servers are great!!! Typical sports bar restaurant with bajillion TV's and just a nice vibe to chill. Drinks at bar are average.

Since Sam's Place is close by, that's where we went for lunch. We both had Reuben sandwiches there last year, so good that we had to have the same today. Our Buffalo wings were really meaty and dripping with hot sauce. My Reuben was so tasty that i hardly noticed that they left off the sauerkraut. Our server was great from start to finish. Even with the Covid restrictions, our food was as good as before. We'll be back for sure.

I have been going here for years. Love it. The chicken tenders are simply the best anywhere. Barramundi tacos - sublime! Great salads, wings and sandwiches. Yesterday I had an amazing white pizza made with fontina - incredible! Just a small suggestion to the management: the smoked salmon dip is better than ever now- but serving it with toasted sliced bread is so cheap looking!! Melba toast or something more composed looking? My family really enjoys this place! We'll be back.

Salads are excellent. The nachos are good too. Fresh jalapeños really help with flavor.

I enjoyed myself here today. Service was great, food was yummy, the music was grooving, and the ambiance was inviting. The electricity was going in and out as I used the restroom with my flashlight. I love the way the food was presented. The food is served in roll top chafing dishes, fancy. I am concerned about the stone ground grits and Louisiana shrimp creole being served from the same chafing dish. People may have shellfish allergies and just want the grits. This can be hazardous. I didn't eat the fruit because it was not served from a covered dish. Overall, the experience was pleasant. I shall return.

It was late on a Saturday night, post-COVID, and we needed a place to eat and catch the rest of the Final Four. We find Sam's Place and service starts slow...we are informed that the booths were closed [they were not] and we were seated near the bar [I am not drinking and the little man is not yet eligible]. Enter Hunter and Super Mario to the rescue...Hunter apologized and provided the smoked salmon dip appetizer [delicious] on the house and expedited our order. My son devoured his rack of ribs in record time and I could not finish my barramundi tacos but they were dayum yummy. Super Mario continued to check on us and brought a lemonade refill for the little man each time. All in all a great spot with great food and people who care. Thank you Hunter and Super Mario...we will be back.

So apparently the manager doesn't understand that a sign that says proud to serve those who serve applies to active military and veterans. He denied the discount that I have received many times before since we were regulars..not anymore. Once you serve you always serve. The disrespect I was given was a disgrace to all active and veterans alike. The place should be forced to take down the false advertisements of proud to serve.

Its a sports bar. Awful food. Great TVs. Lots of laughs Drinks are sports oriented. YMMV

Love the pizza and happy hour! They have over great food items as well, but Casual atmosphere which is great for after work or on a lunch break. Prices at reasonable as well.

I made a review two years ago with i believe a 5 star review. I am back in nashville and decided to order Sam's Place to go. Never will i be back. My chicken tenders were RAW. I mean they were so slimey and undercooked it was just disgusting. They forgot my side of fries, forgot the ranch dressing and i paid almost $5 for an extra side of the pepper jack Mac and cheese and it was 3 bites in a small styrofoam box. Literally 3 bites. I usually like to stop here in my visits of nashville but nope, I'm done. Literally so frustrating and annoying when you have such high expectations. Won't be back.

Stopped in to try this new place for lunch with a friend and we were both very impressed! Overall truly a 5 star visit! The host opened the door for us and was very friendly and I love how open and fun the atmosphere is. Now THIS is the spot to watch a game with so many TVs everywhere. They said to get there early too. The service was wonderful- great timing and attentive. Love the menu! We shared wings with spicy/sweet sauce. Delish. Cooked perfectly and were crispy on outside and juicy on inside. I got a Reuben and it was amazing with so much corned beef I could only eat 1/2. My friend had the oven roasted chicken with smashed potatoes and broccoli and it was also huge portion and delicious. I can't wait to try happy hour! The bar looked fun and it's a great place to meet up with friends after work. Highly recommended
