Best Food at the F1 Grand Prix in Austin Circuit of the Americas, 2023 - Eater Austin

"The new dedicated live-fire section features a variety of tacos with smoked meats. Expect flour tortillas with spicy steak picanha, sausages (a rabbit-antelope or the jalapeno-cheddar cheese), and a vegan chunk “steak.” The section is overseen with CoTA’s new catering company partner Proof of the Pudding, which includes chefs Andy Knudson (formerly of New American restaurant Tillie’s) and Nick Klug. Rounding out the team are Andrew Wiseheart (formerly of New Texan restaurant Contigo), Trista Lora, Scott Bunkley), and guest chef Gary Inman (High Heat in Louisville). On Saturday, October 21, Nixta Taqueria’s Edgar Rico will be on the grounds serving duck carnitas tacos. To balance out the smoked meats and vegetables are freshly shucked East Coast oysters courtesy of roaming pop-up Austin Oyster Co. There’s also a bar serving cocktails designed by Half Step/De Nada’s Chris Bostick, including Old Fashioneds and a smoky paloma." - Nadia Chaudhury

Rib tip dinner was great! Had the sweet & spicy chili sauce and came with two sides and a roll. I got greens, baked beans, and added a side of the fried taters and onions. All of it hit the spot with a ginger ale to wash it down. Very nice people inside. Great little neighborhood eatery I recommend.

Heard about the chitterlings then got to taste so i had to get my own. Portion was very decent for the dinner and 2 sides $14.. Will be back. They need some help in there as there was only 1 person working up front and she seemed to be doing everything they were out of things and there's no sitting while u wait.

I was leaving from a friend's birthday celebration when I decided to stop in. I've passed by this corner for years, but I've never stopped in. My friend didn't have any food at his gathering, so I thought I would stop and check this place out. The lone woman came to the window and waited on me and one other woman (they seemed to know each other), she was polite, but I could tell she was tired. I order the "6-piece wings" special "with wedges and a roll" - and when there weren't wings ready, she was nice enough to substitute a thigh in there for me. I also got a 12 oz can of Diet Pepsi. The portion was good, and everything was hot and fresh. The wings were crispy and delicious, and though I'm not usually a fan of wedges, I enjoyed these potatoes. The only thing I take issue with was that the other workers who are employed by this business are apparently too lazy to show up to the job; that's why the one woman who was there (hat's off to you, sis! Keep up the good work!) appeared to be so tired. Perhaps the owner of this business will see the wisdom of replacing them with people who want to work! I don't live in the Louisville's West End, but I may pay another visit next time I'm in the area.

Good food. But wait times for food. And items not being ready when you come in. Or even after you order it makes it hard to justify visits. . . The wings are great. But fluctuation in size of the wings is a bit strange. On one visit they are average size. The. Next they are huge. And then you come again and they look malnourished. . . . Different cooks / chefs. Every few months make for different food presentations and availability. . . Good when it's good. But service and consistency are hit or miss.

I go here quite often for chitterlings..but,today,they were out of them,so,i ordered a ribtip dinner with mac and cheese and baked beans. It was about 1:30pm. EVERYTHING WAS COLD. I bit into cold rib tips, cold beans, and cold macaroni! It was empty when i was there,so,i immediately kept calling the restaurant. But,the young man never answered the phone! Im so disappointed and want my $13.17 returned at this point. So,i can buy some hot food

The food is only safe to eat when the older black guy & His wife is in the kitchen other than that I recommend you do not eat there if he’s not in the kitchen…. Because I’ve had raw chicken three times from there when he wasn’t in the kitchen the other lady that works nights is a drug attic, and extremely unsanitary she never has on gloves & does not have on a hairnet at all nose always running never see her, wash her hands in between of dealing with customers food

Food and workers were excellent. There's absolutely no where to sit so you can't eat there.

What could be better than pinto beans cornbread and some skillet fried potatoes? absolutely nothing! They were awesome ! Been back 3x in the last week. My only beef, they need to figure out a consistent opening time.
