Went in to Sam's Social Club after a long day at the pool. We were famished and excited for dinner! We called from our room and asked for a 6pm reservation but they would not accommodate our party of 6 until 6:45. We showed up promptly at 6:45 and the restaurant had 3 other tables seated inside, why could we not have been accommodated at 6pm I'm unsure.
Apps:
Ceviche- Tarro chips were so good, perfectly salted! The ceviche itself was a miss, cantalope with shrimp, it was just off.
Pork Belly- Delicious, very flavorful.
Ceasar salad- Really nice simple salad, great classic starter.
Entrees:
Chicken- Simple, cooked nicely and not dry but the dish was very boring, it was just chicken, sauce and heir coverts (green beans)
Pasta- Tagliatelle with a lobster sauce and shrimp. This dish was extremely disappointing, there was no sauce on the pasta, it was in the bottom of the bowl and when I mixed my pasta into it there was not enough for the entire dish to be covered so I was eating dry pasta noodles. The sauce itself had no lobster flavor whatsoever. The shrimps were cooked nicely, but sugar snap peas were not, they were tough. This dish had so much potential but it was a huge miss.
Ribeye Steak x3- There were mixed opinions of the steak at dinner, they were cooked Rare, Medium, and Medium Well. The ribeyes were very fatty and lacked salt, the herb sauce lacked flavor and salt, large potato wedges is a side I would not have chosen for this dish.
Dessert:
Candy cap churros- DEVINE.
Overall for a party of 6 we paid over $1,000 for dinner (including wine of course) and the food really let us down.
For this price point in this valley, the food has got to get better.
I do want to point out the 5 stars I would give The Chaise Lounge if they had their own yelp page
The chicken quesadilla was delicious, the chips and guacamole were refreshing and the pizza was a hit with the kids!
Perfect and simple pool side food!
