Boyd Gaming’s nine open Las Vegas casino floors permitted to expand to 100 percent capacity | Eater Vegas

"The gaming floor here received approval to operate at 100% capacity, with masks still required statewide. Non-gaming spaces remain subject to Clark County’s 80% occupancy cap and three-foot distancing where applicable because the state waiver covers only gaming floors. The operator offered on-site vaccination clinics and paid vacation for hourly employees who completed their recommended vaccine regimen." - Susan Stapleton

Always a perfect stay! All staff are kind, helpful, and courteous. They seem happy to work there. It's clean everywhere, and I feel very secured with a lot of security guards patrolling everywhere (room hallways, food court, garage, and throughout the casino). We appreciate the short walking distance between garage 2 and the food court which is right where the elevator up the room is. How can you beat $5.50 matinee movies and $5.75 for regular senior prices? But wait...free bowling game with movie stub? This must be crazy! Many 1-cent slots throughout the casino and table games start at $5 minimum. It's not super smokey. Clean room, bedding, blankets, and towels. Comfy beds. Free parking. Food and souvenirs are reasonable prices. It's always a good stay at all Station Casinos although I wouldn't patronize at the taco place in the food court again...expensive, not tasty with a lot of msg and salt. This hotel is perfect for those with limited mobility and seniors because everything is spacious.

My fiancé and I got engaged on October 28th and chose to celebrate by staying here. We had our first date at this location, and as locals, we love coming back—so a little staycation felt perfect. I absolutely loved our stay. We were checked in by Sarah and Andrew, and they were amazing from start to finish. Andrew and my fiancé even had a great conversation about band T-shirts, which made the experience feel so personal and enjoyable. The room was beautiful, but the service truly stood out. We’re already talking about making this a yearly tradition.

An all around decent casino on Boulder hwy. Stopped in with my father for a gambling session and we both really enjoyed ourselves. Location is a little dated but it smelled fresh and the machines were clean. I had always wanted to stop here and I'm glad we did.

It is always a pleasure to check in at the Sam's Town Hotel & Casino & Gambling Hall on the first Thursday of December. The front desk agent Kaden was so amazing he greeted us with a smile. His knowledge of our NFR Package was so amazing, we got to our very clean room and was able to relax in our very spacious room. This is our 9th year staying at Sam's Town for the NFR, we love this hotel so much. We arrived at the Thomas & Mack Arena for the first 3 nights of the NFR our seats for the past 9 years have been so AMAZING!! The Boyd Gaming Properties have the best NFR Packages in Las Vegas. Every time we came in contact with any of the staff from Sam's Town they were very friendly and accommodating to us. If your are looking for an Amazing Hotel in Vegas this is the best in town for money. We look forward to come back next year for another NFR Weekend.

I drive past Sam’s Town all the time, but for some reason had never actually gone in. My daughter and I finally decided to check it out, and I’m really glad we did. We came in through the entrance by the parking garage, and the moment we stepped inside, we were surprised to find an indoor park called Mystic Falls. It feels like a little mountain village under a huge glass roof, complete with a waterfall, trees, animal creatures, and peaceful nature sounds. It even smells like the outdoors. It’s a beautiful place to wander around or sit and unwind. After walking around, we headed into the casino. We stopped at the Rewards Club first to sign up for Boyd Rewards, then played a few slots. We only put in $20 and walked away with $40, which was a nice bonus since we’re not heavy gamblers, just there for a bit of fun. Before leaving, we returned to Mystic Falls to watch the fountain and light show. It was a great way to end the visit. We spent about two hours there and didn't see everything. They have restaurants, bars, a movie theater, bowling, a game room, bingo, and so much more. We’ll definitely be coming back. Highly recommend stopping by!

Google
Sam's Town had a lot to offer for entertainment from standard casino fun, like slots and tables, to bowling and movies. Dining options are available but are limited to mostly fast food. The Angry Butcher is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays, so plan accordingly. The atrium was lovely with plants, a constant waterfall, and fountain shows at various times. While we were there, they also made it snow and had a laser show! The rooms were average. Bed was comfortable but linens are not. Pillows go completely flat when folded in half. I left with a crik in my neck. They left plenty of linens for me. I was surprised to find no coffee maker (or microwave) in my room, no coffee bar anywhere in the common areas, and pay by the cup coffee everywhere except Smokey Joe's. I didn't care to have to get ready for the day before I had a cup. Between that and the linens/pillows, my rating dropped significantly. Personally feel like the bed is the most important thing in a hotel; everything else is a bonus.

This is an off-strip casino many locals have gone to over the yrs. I flew in for my sister & my BDay and also a few family/friends flew in too from other states for the birthday. I have been staying here since 19yrs old & kinda started moreso going to Orleans & Goldcoast so wanted to return to Sam's Town bc it seemed like I used to have my most luck there. Unfortunately there were some bad experiences. We had some family taking over our room and we were moving into another room - so requested new sheets/bed change for them and were REFUSED service bc they said they only clean rooms every 3-days. I also requested an ADA room change bc problems with the tub and the water wasn't getting hot so unable to take a shower for say 1/2. These were some off the issues but after speaking to the Mgr Megan seemed resolved. The Suite room was very nice and we did most of our group meeting there. I am a disabled Veteran & had issue where a few times we came from being out around 12am and there was no Valet service and it was very tiring for me driving and walking from the Parking structure. Weird though that I saw many cars just parked in the front for Valet - but we were not allowed to - and so tired me out part of the trip dealing with a heart problem/medical condition. The WORST issue was dealing with trying to extend my room 1 more night. I called down earlier and spoke to a man at the front desk who gave me the Military rate to extend and I asked of I can leave the same deposit & he said yes. I told him I would be down to extend around checkout time. It was already a stretch for the room $167/night (off-strip) but I was willing to pay ot to get alone time on my BDay. When I got down to the front desk to extend the guy I spoke to wasn't there & a woman Maria was there and I told her the situation. She then told me after taxes/fees the nightly rate was then $216 - which was far way more than I budgeted bc my credit card was to the max with room deposits for 3 different rooms I had under my name for family/friends. So I requested if I could have 30 more minutes in the room to check my accounts to see if I could pay the $215 bc it was way more. She was not too nice abd saud I would be charged. I felt that was quite rude bc I am spending another $215 after I've paid thousands onsite gor multiple rooms and then denied a few minutes to check my bank account. So I then went out to the casino area and tried checking my bank account but then just came back to the desk & asked her to extend bc I felt rushed. The guy earlier said it could be same depositb& I asked her a d she said also same deposit (bc it's on hold 3-5 business days). My uncle was sending me $1000 for my Bday but not until that evening and I was going to play the tables maybe $500-$800 & see if I could get the room comped & plus I was trying to get my points up. Maria then told me I had to put another deposit down which pissec me off bc I already told her all the other $250 deposits I had to out down so could barely come up with the $215 for another night now another 4th deposit taken off my credit card & not refunded for 3-5 business days. To say the least my credit card was denied bc all of the deposits & it ruined my day & 50th BDay & Maria's attitude was terrible & she smirkishly was nice to a guy who came up to the desk next to me & easily helped him extend another night. She also denied me to speak with the Mgr Mike. I just took my stuff out of the suite & went & shared room with family. Well thanks Maria - You saved me about $1000 bc I decided not to get the room $215 per night & not gamble & just leave the next day. How much I used to love Sam's Town - they've lost a customer & I will not be back. I also felt bad bc I planned to tip the Valet guy but bc of the issues with them overcharging my card - I was unable & disgusted & so left. Sad bc I really used to love Sam's Town & it was one of my favorites but the area is off-strip and gotten grittier with a lot of homeless and drug addicts near the casino/Boulder. I won't be back & spend my money somewhere else 😔

Google
The best theater in town for the price is located here. The matinee is 5$ a person, which makes it affordable for groups. Because of this, I enjoy visiting every year to see the holiday themed botanical gardens and to watch movies with the family.

Yelp
If you're in Vegas and looking for something truly special, Mystic Falls Park is a hidden gem! The lush greenery, cascading waterfall, and lifelike animatronic animals set the perfect scene, but the real magic happens during the vibrant laser light show. With stunning water effects and an energizing soundtrack, it's a one-of-a-kind experience you won't find anywhere else in Vegas. Be sure to arrive early for the best view and surprise your date with a unique pre-movie experience at the nearby Cinemark. Don't miss it!

Yelp
Went here for the winter wonderland display. The lights were nice and we got a visit with Santa. We went at 2 pm so the shows didn't start yet. The shows don't start until 4 pm. We went early because we didn't want to deal with the crowds!!! But I think it would've been nicer in the evening and with the show. We spent about 10-15 minutes walking through the displays and taking pictures with the lights and waterfalls. We also went to gift shop which was expensive! But fun to look at their toys and stuff. If you are in the area, it's a nice quick stop. But I don't know if I'd drive far to see this unless you really come for the show. The line for Santa when we arrived was short so that was fast and easy. And there is plenty of self-parking for free. But like any Vegas hotel, you just have to walk!

Yelp
As a local who some years visits Sams Town during the Christmas season to see the kitschy display in the "park", I was pretty disappointed yesterday. First I guess it was my fault for not verifying when the Christmas show was active. I guess I figured that on a Sunday when there would be a lot of families out, it would be active at noon or something. Apparently, not till later in the day I found out. There was a little gazebo with a tired looking Santa letting folks take pictures. Ok, on to the casino itself, we a know Sam's town is not the flagship of the Boyd group, but still.... NFR was in town so there were groups of tourists (presume they were by the western wear) around the casino floor. But there were large groups of families and what was surprising several groups of young teenagers wandering around unescorted. Then there was the pervasive smell. No, not tobacco... But chemical like cleaning compounds or deoderizers... But man, did my eyes burn. I'm not usually a food court person , not for any particular reason, just not. Didn't want to go to Friday's or the sports deli or Dunkin, but figured maybe McD's .. Well the food court was darkish, tables that were not filled (and most were since it's a small space) were dirty, trash was overflowing . The one chair I managed to snag hada cushion that sunk down so.low I thought I'd hit the floor. My dining companion got something from Panda Express, but I just couldn't get motivated to order anything . She said it was ok and they did do a ten percent miltary discount. Not sure what other dining options there are there during the day. Slot machines, decent variety, same for poker machines.... Will I go back? Maybe next Christmas...

Yelp
I've been coming to Sam's Town Casino for a few years now. Ever since I found out they have a mural dedicated to the band, The Killers. The mural is amazing and makes a great photo opportunity location if you are a huge fan. The casino occasionally has some limited edition The Killers themed casino chips on the floor because The Killers played at the casino back in 2016. If interested, just ask any of the casino tables to see if they have any in circulation. There is plenty of free parking and plenty of kid friendly areas at this location. Not only is this place a casino, but they also have several dining locations, a movie theater, live music on select nights, and a bowling alley. They also have an indoor waterfall! There is something for everyone here, all ages. This casino is a bit older than most, so keep that in mind when visiting. The circulation system could be a bit better. As soon as you walk in the casino, you get hit with heavy smoke smell from people smoking. I definitely make Sam's Town part of my itinerary every time I visit Las Vegas. They have plenty of touristy items for sale in their gift shop. My mom even hit a jackpot here a few years back on New Year's Day.

Yelp
This is a cute hotel that is nostalgic for me. I grew up staying here with my mom. Rooms are clean and somewhat affordable. I stated here with my husband. There is a lot to if you are willing to pay. They do have a bowling alley and movie theater. The true highlight is the free lights show that is put on every evening in the courtyard. The downside is the place smells. In some parts it smelled like smoke, others like weed. They need a newer filtration system.

Yelp
Stayed here on 10/18/24 the room was spotless very clean the bed is very comfy there is a $100 hold when you check in at the main desk this hotel was the only affordable hotel for nascar weekend. Be sure to check out their mystic falls park it's beautiful especially there nightly shows

Yelp
This hotel is my go-to place when visiting Las Vegas. The strip gets way too crowded. I like the calmness of this casino. The movie theater and bowling alley are awesome. The rooms are clean. The casino is well maintained and the slot machines are fun to play. :)

Yelp
The view from our room was really nice but the bed was AWFUL. We enjoyed the fact that quad makes it seem like you are in a different area and not in a casino.

Yelp
SERVICE & TRANSITIONS -- Awesome Butter smooth checkin process; professional, efficient & down to earth. The (jungle) theme is something circus & public spaces were fantastic: impeccably clean, immersive, & an expert use of color psychology -- the best of all BOYD gaming locations IMO. MVP employees: Brittany ROOM (Deluxe King) -- https://youtu.be/iPKU8Sn9cww Pictures online are lifeless & uninspired... But in-person: vibrant, clean, & comfortably contemporary! Very impressed by house keeping performing deep cleanings during the work week. Our view was great for the extra light, but obstructed by bird poop & bugs . Windows simply aren't washed regularly enough. The dedicated workspace was perfect for work & extra tabletop space. BED -- great Linens & mattress were in peak condition. Pillow build was spectacular. This was some of my best sleep in Las Vegas. BATH -- great Huge tub, huge vanity, & powerful water pressure! This should be the baseline for Vegas hotel shower plumbing IMO. Cons: Towels were extremely rough & worn... TV/ENT./ACTIVITIES -- Good This TV was abhorrent.. everything from the programming, to the remote. It's a fragile & draconian TV solution. But there's plenty to do in this family-friendly megaplex of a casino thx to: A movie theatre, pool, bowling hall, & slots galore! WI-FI & CELL RECEPTION -- bad Verizon service was super strong - Full bars 5G-uw!! WiFi was the status quo Boyd gaming configuration: weak, unencrypted, & overpriced. --Performance-- Video streaming - Good Online gaming - great Video chatting - great --Nerd Stats-- 2-5 Mbps download 4-18 Mbps upload 0% packet loss 14 ms latency 3 ms jitter FOOD & DRINK -- great Not DoorDash friendly (very difficult in fact). Food courts offer a modest variety of convenience: Subway, McDonald's, Dunkin donuts, etc. Food service was much more personable here than at the Gold Coast casino. in-room: microwave mini-fridge (small) coffee tea wet-bar mini-bar NOISE -- Awful Thin walls, "Your worst nightmare, thin". We could hear bed frames moving, TVs, & conversations (talking-volume) in other units. LOCATION -- I felt safe, in general & as a minority here. Walmart across the street + other shopping centers in walking distance. Valet parking is not managed well; so chaotic and congested at random times. Tighten up! RECOMMENDATION & RATING Final price: $113.58/night Was it worth it: yes Best part: food & drink The first Boyd Gaming hotel I actually felt comfortable in, slept like a baby, & wanted to book again. Despite repulsive WiFi performance. Please tip the house keepers, they go above & beyond! 4.5/5 @mrstaycation

Yelp
Boyd gaming has some of my favorite casinos. They are not just good for playing at but enjoyable for the atmosphere and the vibe. Sam's town has a wonderful family atmosphere. They offer a theater and bowling, and this beautiful courtyard with running water and garden like atmosphere and at night Mystic falls gives you a beautiful laser light show. They have several options for dining like McDonalds in their dining hall which make it a lot more accessible for familys. They are one of the few who have a fun bowling alley for those in tournament play or those who just want to play. This place offers a homey feel and thats a good thing.

Yelp
WoW, Yelp doesn't keep current. The Buffet at Sam's Town has been closed since the Governor panicked and closed Nevada to accommodate the plandemic. $15/hour minimum wages have killed a lot of restaurants and hotels, Sam's Town is still a fun place to visit, excellent staff are courteous and efficient. Security is excellent and gaming choices are plentiful.
google avatar

Yelp
Came here as a party of 6 to watch a movie in the theatre. If you purchase online there is a transaction fee for each purchased ticket so it's more convenient to buy tickets in person. They have special offers on specific days, especially in summer for the kids, which is great. You're able to select your preferred seats if available. The theatre is clean, the seats are not the most comfortable but for the price you pay, I can't complain. You get what you pay for. The drinks are self-serve, large allows for a refill so definitely chose that if you have small children, they can share and you won't have to break your pocket. There are plenty of movies to choose from and different show times so choosing a time that's most convenient shouldn't be a problem.

Yelp
I love that Sam's town is off the strip, it doesn't smell of cigarettes and has a large natural garden indoors. There is plenty of parking and it's free. They also offer free electric car charging although I'm not sure if there is a time limit or fees if you stay parked and are charged. After discovering this place our family has not stayed on the strip again even though sometimes you can find cheaper rooms there. Originally I would have said this is a 4ish almost 5 star place but this time I wasn't as satisfied. 60 % of their elevators were broken and there were guests mentioning that some had broken down as long ago as last year. The Buffett was shutdown and removed from the map which indicates to me that they may not be bringing it back. The fees and cost of stay was a little crazy to understand booking online and then check-in person it would be nice if they just quoted the entire price with the hotel fees and the holding charge. Having my card charged 3 times refunded once was just a lot to follow. Bringing back the Buffett and fixing those elevators would also elevate the guest experience. Other than that staff is super super nice and I appreciate all the help and patience they had with all my questions. I was definitely confused about the fee/ cost setup and needed it explained.

Yelp
We had small issues. Between the very unsavory guests to the dingy carpets and rooms. Still we didn't expect much here. And the pay outs are small.

Yelp
This past April we wanted to try something different and stayed at Sam's Town. What a great place. The casino is gigantic and not all that crowded. Less people means less smoke, a definite plus. Check in, a breeze. Very nice people. Right behind the front desk is the (indoor) garden area that has a cute fountain show. The room was typical Boyd, except it had a COFFEE MAKER! Nice. Free parking everywhere. Didn't hit the main restaurants but did try the Robertos Taco shop, McDs, and Dunkin's. I don't know if they even offer meal books like Downtown. They have all the usual Boyd gaming offerings. Craps even had All Tall bonus. The slots are supposed to be looser then even downtown. Seemed ok, maybe got too greedy... again. Oh well.

Yelp
When it comes to guest service this is to be added to your choices, they even have centry theater inside and great places to eat

Yelp
Safe, clean room, and perfectly okay to stay here. I have stayed at all the nicest properties on the strip. I stayed because I wanted to be close to the airport the day before I left. I was super skeptical because I know it's located in a bad part of town. Meaning don't venture off the property once you get there. Boyd does a nice job with their properties regardless of age. Was the casino old and smokey? You bet. Plenty of food options, very much a locals joint. For the price tag, it served its purpose. It's too far from the strip to call a vacation destination, but if you're on a budget it works. I'm glad when they spent money to remodel they did it on the rooms! There's always a guard at the elevators to your room. Was glad to see that.

Yelp
The main attraction is the show on top of the waterfall. The casino has been around for decades. A regular playground of my youth, where I spent countless hours at the movie theater or arcade. I will admit that you can see the age of the place. The usual buffet and high end restaurant are gone at the time of this review. I hope they come back. I'm glad it has some family experiences like the bowling alley and ice cream shop. A nice, affordable casino to have a good time and not go broke.

Yelp
Hi. I visit regularly the movie theater at Sams Town Hotel & Gambling. And I see some new ELD lights outside of the property and the casino looks more brighter. But your promotional screen outside on Boulder High way is not working properly. Plus on the walkway of the property needs a deep clean up. Plus your trash cans outside needs cleaning. The property is getting busy every year but management needs to walk the property more often in and out to see what needs to be done or repair. Thank you.

Yelp
Within the past few weeks my family stayed here and generally had a great time. I am not here to write just about the hotel because it is Vegas and hotels are everywhere. I am going to write how this location went above and beyond for my kiddo who happens to be autistic. My son has a pillow that he sleeps with every night and in the hustle in packing to leave, I mistakenly left it to him to grab his pillow. It wasn't until we arrived at home and started to unpack did we realize that he did not grab his pillow. Well, after contacting the hotel we were able to get his pillow shipped back home and he immediately grabbed and hugged the pillow for at least 10 minutes when it arrived. Thank you very much to Sam's town for not tossing it, I know that would have been easier. The customer service and communication was great! TY TY

Yelp
I've been visiting Sam's Town pretty regularly in recent weeks because my parents really like to gamble here. It's got more of a chill vibe compared to other locals casinos such as Stations. If you like to gamble make sure to get the players card, the people at the sign up desk are super nice and walk you through the process and explain all the benefits. The only reason why I cannot give it five stars is because the area directly around the casino is very sketchy with lots of transient folks so not really an area you want to be in late at night.

Yelp
When visiting relatives In Henderson, Nevada I will definitely be returning to Sam's town Hotel. Great hotel and staff. One thing I did miss was the buffet and the Mexican restaurant. Rooms were nice and the water show was wonderful as always.

Yelp
I call housekeeping to make sure they clean my room, when I return later in the evening, the room is still dirty. Terrible service.

Yelp
Sadly, this review is not a very good one. It seems that the customer service has severely declined over the past year. I've been coming here for MANY years and have been accustomed to friendly staff and excellent service. Check-in, the lady checking us in, was friendly. However, her supervisor was not. I asked for a comped upgrade to an inside room, and her attitude was far from friendly. I get that last time I came I only spent hundreds of dollars at the arcade and bowling alley so I didn't have points, but as a long time guest and pretty empty hotel, she could have been nicer when she declined my request. Room - while the coffee was never great, they no longer offer complimentary coffee. Check out- because I have my grandson I was hoping to get a late check out so he could enjoy the arcade without hauling all our luggage. The same rude lady said it would be an extra charge. Now please keep in mind, it wasn't that she again said no, it was the way she said it. Im certain management does not care about poor service reviews but they may want to take a look at working on customer service. Two stars because valet was nice.

Yelp
Came here to visit family that got a room here and boy I was surprised! The rooms here are great! Room service came to our room without us calling them! That was awesome. They have a pool here also! There's so much to do with your family at Sam's Town! They have a pool, an arcade, a movie theater, and lots of places to eat. Great place to do a staycation. We will be back!

Yelp
Sam's Town Hotel and Casino is part of the Boyd Gaming Group. This property sports a large bowling alley, a theater complex , hotel, and casino. Over the years, this is one of my favorite off strip places to come to. Service has always been friendly. They get a chunk of gambling money on every visit, but I like Western theme. Enjoy.

Yelp
Providing an updated review for my stay in 2024. I booked Sam's Town early for the CES convention based on the cost of the room + resort fees which I consider a good deal for staying off strip during one of Vegas' busiest weeks. Already knowing the best parking (parking garage 2 on the 3rd level has a skybridge) made check in easy and it did not take long to get to our mountain view room. The room was clean and well maintained during our stay and housekeeping/bell staff took good care of us. Did not use the pool, but the other public areas were good and we had no complaints there. We did not eat at the hotel because there were no deals for guests to be had, but overall it is good value as long as you have transportation to get around (or if you love bowling).

Yelp
Dining, playing, and staying off of The Strip and Downtown Las Vegas... Sam's Town is a Boyd property, so, I like it because I get to use my Players Card and earn points for dining credits. I also had comp rooms here in the past. I really like the Mystic Falls Park with the laser light show, music, and animals (bear, eagle, deer, coyote, and mountain lion). There's a Food Court (McDonald's, Roberto's Taco Shop, and Panda Express), Bowling alley, gift shop, BINGO Hall, Subway, Sports Deli, Dunkin Donuts, Arcade, and Movie theater. Sometimes, in the meeting rooms upstairs, they'll have craft fairs. Sam's Town is a cool, old school casino. They used to have a shuttle from The Cal, but it's been discontinued. That's ok - I'll just drive there. The parking is free!

Yelp
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!! This was my first stop in vegas and a employee was so rude. My hubbie wanted a players card and she wouldnt give him time of day. But she did give attention to a person after us. It seems my 1st review was removed so I'm doing this again. The place was a ghost town. Cant say a color apparently here. It's okay we went to Durango and promptly got a players card. You need to hire more friendly employees. Too many casinos want our money and got it..people read other reviews there is a common thing here rudeness!! The inside was nicer than the employees and it had a weird smell.

Yelp
No coffee makers in the rooms and everything everywhere smells like smoke - including in the nonsmoking rooms. Over Memorial Day only one elevator was working. We learned to cram in whether it was going up or down. The biggest disappointment was the Missing Man Table at the restaurant. At first, it was great to see it, but then, even though there was a description of the meaning of each item on the table, the rose was long-dead and the lemon slice was very old and decrepit. Thanks for the effort, I guess. I've been several times, and there are too many choices to go back again.

Yelp
Place is a ghost town and machines don't pay. Won't be going back. They need a total makeover.

Yelp
Sam's Town Firelight Buffet is somewhat representative of Vegas Buffets 20 years ago. Be certain to obtain the free VIP card for various buffet discounts. To be clear, this buffet does not serve a "good meal." Often folks are looking for a great price, but "you get what you pay for." The Mexican is mainly tacos, the Italian is pizza and mac and cheese, the Asian is rice, noodles and mystery stir fry, the American is a carving station of tough turkey, ham, and inedible roast beef. The salad bar is limited, but ok. Sam's Town Firelight Buffet offers a neat dessert selection, but most of us do not do dessert. Wine and beer is limited and cheap. Guess we are not the demographic who will re-visit Sam's Town Firelight Buffet. We recognize that the cooks and servers are doing their very best, and the servers deserve a decent tip. We do not visit Vegas to locate the "best buffet deals." We clearly disagree with many who think Sam's Town Firelight Buffet is excellent or great or whatever.

Yelp
Located all the way on the opposite end of the strip. More like a local casino, there's a movie theatre inside/connected, some fast food spots to eat and some restaurants, as well as shops. The casino part itself is very smokey, but the inner part where the waterfall is is a smoke free zone. The waterfall is definitely one of the best features for this place.

Yelp
Sam's Town looks like an old western town from the façade of the side building. It is a cute little casino for the locals or out of town guests who do not want to to the strip or Fremont street for touristy prices or attractions. It reminds me of the New Orleans because it also has a movi theatre and bowling alley, fast foods (McDonald's, Roberto's and Panda Express). They have a nice steak house/restaurant too (The Angey Butcher) but we didn't eat there. We were there to enjoy the Christmas deco which were very cute. So it seems they have enough to entertain a family besides gambling fir the adults.

Yelp
It was our first time visiting Sam's Town, the parking is free, we went inside and their are food courts, gambling and the mystic park which we thought was amazing, it was decorated with Christmas lights, great place to take photos, walk around! Other then the park, it was ok, wouldn't go there again.

Yelp
My husband and I were in the casino and we sat down for a second and I was waiting for my husband to give me dollars so I can play the machine and the security guard came over and told us we have to leave because we were not gambling. We told him that yea we are and he proceeded to stand there to watch me play the machine. I don't appreciate being watched like a damn toddler. I told him that he can leave now and he said nope I'm gonna stand here and watch you play to make sure you are actually playing the machine. This has gone to far! They are rude and on the boarder of violating my rights. Security guards need more training for sure. Contacting attorney general due to this incident

Yelp
Very smokey, even the non-smoking areas, Beds were too firm for me, the gaming emphasis seems to be bingo and slots, only one crap table manned by unfriendly, difficult to understand dealer and stickman. The theater and bowling ally were great and the staff competent. The location is off the strip by 6 miles, and the neighborhood was pretty rough, not a place to be walking down the street at night. The Fridays restaurant inside was a pleasant surprise, nice people, yummy food, reasonable prices

Yelp
I've been trying to stay at Sam's Town for years and finally got to chance because I am a huge The Killers fan and I was in town for a show. Check in was fast and easy. I arrived at 5pm from the driving from LA. Room was clean as expected. I'm really impressed with the security on the floor and in the parking lot. Even when I checked out early to beat traffic at 5am, security was still making rounds. I love this place and I will tell you why: there's a theatre here, McDonald's for my ice coffee, and I hardly smelled smoke compare to other places. I would definitely recommend staying here even if it's out of the way. There's a 202 bus on Las Vegas blvd u can take if you don't have a car. I took the bus to the strip because I didn't want to deal with the strip traffic and parking fee.

Yelp
I paid more for this hotel thinking I was going to get my money's worth. I took my Mom for her to have a great time to gamble and enjoy the scenery with the nice waterfall and tree display. Turns out the next morning when we woke up, I had bites on my arm and my Mom started to itch really bad. We went to confront the front desk about it and immediately she brushed me off and got the manager. I waited for her just to tell me she was going to waive the resort fee and file a report to the security dept. i went to the security dept and I told the security guard that bed bugs bit us. We moved the end comforter to see tons of black little bugs. It was gross. They took pictures of my arm and haven't got back to me. Today, Linda the manager left me a message stating that they hired someone to inspect the room and there was no bed bugs there. I'm sure she said that just to make her hotel look good. Never sent me proof or anything. My Mom ended up going to the hospital because of getting a fever and rashes all over her body. Turns out that she was diagnosed with scabies. Housekeeping doesn't do their job and are not washing the sheets correctly. I have been texting security and they are not responding to me. NEVER GOING BACK HERE AGAIN!!

Yelp
My boyfriend and I decided to spend Christmas evening here to check out the mystic falls Christmas display and enjoy gambling. We had an amazing time! We usually gamble at the Santa Fe often but their machines have gotten really tight. The slots seemed much looser here we both won good money and they carried courvoisier our fave drink. The bartenders and waitresses were awesome and we loved the old school vibe here. We will definitely make the drive from centennial hills to this casino once a week from now on. Also loved that the Fridays was open really late so we could get a good late night dinner

Yelp
Besides there being soooo much cigarette smoke, it wasn't too bad. That was just a huge turn off for me. Felt like my clothes had to be dry cleaned. We walked around, gambled a little and ate some food. Plenty of things to do here. I just happened to be on this side of town and wanted to visit this place. It's been years.

Yelp
we love this casino, they always treat us well and often give us free play customer services are great and we are also are eligible for free rooms, we love staying here away from the strip

Yelp
Fantastic locals casino. The place has been there since the 1979, but it is in great shape. You can tell that it is loved and cared for. Every employee that I interacted with was friendly and took the time to chat. They make you feel welcome and like you are a valued customer, not another number. Stand outs are the bingo room and the blackjack. Great time!

Yelp
Very nice place. Somewhat reasonable prices compared to the rest of Vegas. It's a large hotel. Very well kept. Our room and everywhere we saw was very clean. The staff were all very pleasant. It's far from the Strip and Fremont street. They are several miles away. You would definitely have to drive or get a ride almost anywhere you go. But the hotel itself does have a lot to do. Big casino, big name entertainment, a bowling alley, movie theater, and several food options, from fast food to nice restaurants. And its across the street from a big Walmart. There was an awards show going on in the hotel, and I saw several famous rock stars walking around afterwards!

Yelp
Great rooms. A good distance from the strip. Variety of Food available on the first floor and a nice convenience store. BUT! Way too much smoke. I understand it's attached to a casino but inhaling 2 packs of cigarettes with each breath is an issue. Other casinos, on the strip, do not have this issue. Let's invest in the air conditioning system. Love the forest in the middle with the waterfall. The plants are working overtime to convert the smoke into oxygen.

Yelp
(TGI Fridays 0742) Carlos and Danielle's service are top notch!! They are very helpful and kind, would definitely come again!!

Yelp
We love Sam's Town the food outlets are first rated, the employees are the friendliest and so accommodating especially the bartenders at the Stagecoach Bar ( a hidden gem on floor 2) the pool area is nice but don't count on getting too much sun later in the day due to shade caused by the hotel gaming was fun but I lost .we love the Mystic Falls atrium and the light and water show.my only complaint is that there were problems with the elevators 2 didn't work if you are looking for a nice fully self contained resort you can't bear Sam's Town!!

Yelp
Very cool hotel in Vegas. Didn't look far from the strip when booking, but still took 30m with Vegas traffic; it was nice not being stuck in the crowd and to see outside Vegas. This hotel has a bowling alley and movie theater inside. We took advantage of bowling and it was a lot of fun!! Lots of slots and tables, restaurants, even a dunk'n and crepe place, subway and McDonald's too. They had a small business fair going on the second floor. We stayed here for a couple nights and it was nice, well worth it. Their lobby is set up like an old town and it's really nice touch to look at.. huge rock waterfall with a laser light show after 4pm. We visited Vegas over the holiday weekend and this hotel was in our budget and had great reviews. Staff very nice, clean. Check in took a minute, but checkout was a breeze. Not very crowded.

Yelp
Located off Boulder Hwy in Las Vegas. This hotel and casino is off the strip so it stands on it's own. It gives off a cowboyish type of vibe I know back in the day when the rodeo was in town this was the place to stay not sure if it still is when the rodeo comes now. This place pretty much has everything from your hotel room, Casino, eating places, bowling, arcade for kids, and even a movie theater that shows all the current movies. This is a pretty big property with lots to do if you stay here. For dinner I had Roberto's got the 3 rolled beef tacos w/ cheddar cheese it was good. Overall a nice place. If you want to get away from the strip or downtown crowds this is the spot if you don't want to go far away from those areas.
