8 Exciting Things To Do & Eat In NYC Between August 4th - August 9th - New York - The Infatuation

"Movie theaters are nice, but watching The Goonies outside might be more compelling to anyone with a nostalgic soul. This Friday, August 6th, there’s a free film screening on the Upper West Side at Samuel N. Bennerson 2nd Playground right near Lincoln Center. Arrive around 8pm if you want to get a good spot (and bring a blanket and snacks too)." - hannah albertine

It is a clean, safe, and fun place for kids. There’s plenty of space to run around and a nice variety of equipment for different ages. It’s a great spot for families and playdates. The only downside is that there’s no public restroom, so plan ahead.

There were no monkey bars here but there was an America ninja style obstacle course

It looked like a nice playground but it didn’t feel that safe. someone was shot there this week so there was a heavy NYPD presence and we left

Went to the park specifically to watch my Grandson play in a basketball tournament. The park is located on 64th Street between Amsterdam Ave. and West End Ave. The park is very clean and well kept. The courts are excellent, however parking is extremely limited. I observed that most people attending the game, double park. Some of the parents I spoke to preferred public transportation rather than drive.

Great park love the park just not the surroundings. I was there one evening and a fight broke out. People were smoking marijuana. Just sad to see such a great park in the wrong place. There are other great neighborhoods that need their parks renovated

Very popular neighborhood playground. Lots of basketball games, schools use this playground for recess, nice picnic tables and swings. No restrooms

Google
It is a nice playground, new and kids love playing on structures. I just don’t feel very comfortable with the surroundings.

Yelp
2 basketball courts (one even with a scoreboard) are up for play in this surprisingly not busy playground, with plenty of exciting climbing structures (looking very new), lots of shade and even 3 big picnic tables. There's even an area with machines for adults to workout. Water sprinklers keep you cool in the summer but no restroom available.
