I have been a few times and am always happy. If it's nice you might eat on the deck, the view is lovely. The food is always good and the service is impeccable. This time I got the brisket. It was so flavorful and comes with many sides. The mac and cheese was awesome! I opted for a caesar salad instead of corn on the cob. Everything was delicious. On a side note, my nephew is going to get married here. I had no idea it was also a wedding venue. The event space is gorgeous! Spread the word.

Surprised ourselves with how beautiful it is to dine on the water, amazing atmosphere. The service is top-notch, staff is friendly and knowledgeable of the food and drinks. The bartender is very good; chef beyond compare. The food was fantastic. We had oysters on the half shell, fried green tomato caprese salad, pulled pork, tacos, haddock and the Meyer lemon ricotta ravioli. Tiramisu was dessert. Not a bad bite in the bunch.

Omg I wish I have taken pictures of the brisket! It’s fantastic, so yummy! But… I did take a picture of the “Strawberry fields forever salad” I recommend it 1000/10! Perfect mix of ingredients and a perfect reference as well! Beatles forever 🤟🏻❣️

📍 Location & Atmosphere Nestled by the water, Samuel Slater’s gives off cozy lodge vibes with a spacious interior that’s both rustic and refined. The indoor space feels open and airy, with woodsy, natural tones that scream “weekend getaway.” There’s also a beautiful outdoor patio and a stadium setup—clearly made for live music nights and good vibes. Too bad it was rainy when we went, but you can tell it’d be a whole scene on a nice day. 🍽️ Food & Drinks We kicked things off with the mussels (yes, we had the muscles AND the mussels 💪)—and they were solid. Flavorful garlic broth, meaty bites, and a soup base that had us nearly sipping from the bowl. Only thing missing? More bread! Don’t tease us with great broth and not give enough to soak it up. For mains, I tried the Fun Guy Burger—a mushroom-forward twist on a classic. It was good, not mind-blowing, but satisfying for a casual bite. The menu leans heavy on American classics, so there’s something for every picky eater in the group. 👨‍🍳 Service & Hospitality Service was quick, efficient, and to-the-point—no fluff. Not super warm or chatty, but got the job done. Think of it like: “Hi, what can I get you?” instead of “Welcome! So glad you’re here.” Nothing bad, just not overly memorable either. 💡 Unique Selling Point The space itself is the star here. Between the large indoor dining room, waterfront views, and a full-on outdoor music setup, this place clearly knows how to host a good time. Come for a chill meal, then stay for the live music (when New England weather cooperates).

This place checked all the boxes! From the friendly, welcoming staff, to the food and the view, WOW! I enjoyed the most delicious clam chowder while dining on the patio with my wife. The server was attentive and knowledgable. Great selections on draft and much to choose from their cocktail menu. I enjoyed a delicious rib eye called Steak Diane. Cooked perfectly served with truffled potato wedges! My taste buds were singing. If you haven’t been to this establishment, I encourage you to take the ride. Worth the trip!!

The service is very good, the staff are extremely cordial, attentive and friendly. The food is delicious, there's a beautiful view of the lake, a cozy atmosphere, great drinks, affordable prices, on-site parking and wheelchair parking too. Very clean environment, I highly recommend 10/10

Google
I had a wonderful dining experience at Samuel Slater restaurant in Webster, Massachusetts, with my family. The entire staff was incredibly friendly, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Our drinks were expertly crafted, and the food was absolutely amazing—each dish exceeded our expectations! We sat outside on the deck, enjoying the beautiful day, which added to the overall ambiance of our meal. It truly was an amazing dining experience, and I can't recommend this restaurant enough. If you're in the area, be sure to stop by!

Yelp
Food is always very good, and service is usually friendly. Not always the fastest, and you're not going to be saving any money by going here, but a good place in a good location. The food occasionally has an issue or two, and the desserts are mostly prepackaged and not made in house. Even still, the desserts are good and the food is almost always great! Their ravioli is very tasty, and their sandwiches and wraps are delicious. The seating area is also lovely. All of the walls that are facing towards the lake are kept open, with AC blowers facing downwards to prevent insects from entering. Very pleasant way to spend an evening out.

Yelp
Value for cost is super unbalanced. $9 for a tiny crock of onion soup there wasn't even bread under the cheese. If there was there wouldn't have been any soup broth left. It literally was like 4 spoons of soup. Flavor was good adequate but way over priced. No prime rib on a Saturday night? Not looking for a deal like on Wednesdays just an option for prime rib on a weekend. It's a difficult menu if you don't like fish or seafood. I also had the wedge salad another overpriced under valued item. The dressing was ok and some bacon on it but nowhere near worth $16. The chips appetizer was again a small basket of chips with vinegar and salt dust on them they were served cold and with dipping sauce another overpriced underwhelming menu item. We shared the rice balls those were probably the best part of the entire dinner. My friend had the haddock and it was served in a small dish he's not a big eater and commented how small the piece of fish was. The burger looked pretty decent and was a good portion maybe would have had a better experience if I had a burger. There was only one steak option which was disappointing. Not sure why I would go again here.

Yelp
Ambiance is good food is ok .service not good but I think it depends on what time or season . Food portions should be better for the cost and content

Yelp
So so so good! My third time coming and each time has been 10/10! The staff were again super friendly and attentive. The food was DELICIOUS and fresh. Very well seasoned. I'm so fussy about Mac n cheese and my daughter got the Mac and cheese and it was phenomenal! So creamy and gooey! Definitely can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Samuel Slater's is an AMAZING restaurant - beautiful ambiance, excellent service, an exceptional menu and OUTSTANDING cuisine. You can tell the chef/chefs really care about the food they make - everything is so fresh, delicious and carefully prepared. We LOVE coming here - and are never disappointed!

Yelp
If you're planning a small family gathering or special event, this is now our go-to place! The food is delicious, with something for everyone. Last spring, we reserved a private dining room for our family Easter dinner with 21 guests. Julie, the events coordinator, worked closely with us to create a fantastic menu. Best of all, there's no charge to reserve the room--your deposit is simply credited to your bill. More recently, we booked the same room (which holds up to 32 guests) for our daughter's shower. Of course, a major snowstorm was in the forecast! Their cancellation policy is strict, but Julie was incredibly accommodating. She took the stress out of a stressful situation by allowing us to move the shower up a day to avoid the dangerous weather. She even reworked and printed custom menus for each guest. The staff went above and beyond--helping with setup, checking coats, finding us an easel, cutting and serving the cake we brought, and so much more. Without a single hiccup, they pivoted seamlessly to make the day a success. I can't say enough good things about Julie and her team--they are absolute rock stars!

Yelp
Well the first time I tried this place two years ago the sandwich was terrible. I swore I'd never go back. What brought me back was Jediah! The music on the beach was fantastic. So we tried the food again. I was pleasantly surprised to see the menu had completely changed. The food was Creative and tasty. I will be going back even if Jediah isn't there.

Yelp
Too hot to dine outside on this visit, which is unfortunate as their deck has a beautiful view. We were dining early, so there were plenty of tables available. We were shown to a table for two near the corner, though we would have preferred a table by the window, our table still had a view. We ordered: Scallops Patsy - Pan Seared Scallops over Bacon Corn Chowder Risotto, topped w/ Lemon Herb Crumbs, Pea Shoots Caesar Salad with Shrimp - Chopped Romaine, House-made Garlic Croutons, House-made Creamy Caesar, Shaved Asiag Sangria, one red, one white. The scallops were nicely prepared, tender, fresh and delicious. The corn chowder risotto was excellent. I loved this dish. Conversely, my co-diner did not like her Caeser salad, which she described as bland, and thought the shrimp was over salted and dry. The Sangrias were tasty, the white sweeter than the red. I liked the red much better. Overall, this was a 3.5 star visit, rounded up to 4 stars for the excellent Scallops Patsy.

Yelp
The food, the service, the atmosphere... ALL top notch! This was our first (and definitely not our LAST) time dining at Samuel Slater's at Indian Ranch. What an all around wonderful experience! We were seated right away- we chose outside seating because it was a beautiful day! I could sit there all day watching all of the activity on Lake Chaubunagungamaug! The food? I had the brisket (which came with coleslaw, pickles and cornbread- all homemade), which was the BEST brisket I've ever had; moist and flavorful. My husband had the 2 meat selection (brisket and pulled pork). We shared an Oreo cheesecake slice for desert. The service? Superb- attentive, friendly and helpful. You can't beat that! I HIGHLY recommend Samuel Slater's! Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Made reservations (necessary) loud? Not quite yet. Short walk from parking lot. Casual dress, met the waitress. Bathroom is close by. Open space/floor plan. Menus given. Water carafe placed on table. Asked for recommendations. Decided on clam chowder (super hot) and the crispy chicken wraps. Main courses were rib eye and Tagliatelle Bolognese. Both cooked very nicely. Substituted the Brussels sprouts for asparagus. Truffle and Parmesan fries. Tasty, but a baked potato would have been fine too. No rush, waitress was super attentive. Dessert was to go and the bolognese was taken home as well. Deserves a second visit to try the other dinner choices. Super easy to go to. Nice views of the lake.

Yelp
It seems to be hit or miss here. Came in party of 4....The Service and food today was absolutely unacceptable. Over half the tables were empty so it wasn't busy at all. Waited 10 mins to get our drinks from the bar with not 1 person sitting there not to mention bartender was just standing around. After the food was brought out on the tray by another staff member, it sat out there for about 3-5 mins until our waitress brought it to our table. Brisket entrees were cold, dry and my sandwich didn't come as ordered.....if the waitress ever came back to check on food I would have mentioned it. Had to actually go up to the bar to order a drink/refill bc service was so slow. There was a party of 10 that the waitress claimed was the issue for her crappy service??? Between the management to the staff to the service, today's visit was horrible & very disappointing. Bill was $200 and felt like a complete waste

Melissa P.

Yelp
hostess rude. booked online reservation a week in advance and requested a table and not a booth for 6 people. was sat at a booth. when mentioned I requested a table was told they can't always accommodate requests and the restaurant was fully booked. proceeded with the booth only to watch as 10 remained empty the whole time. second time this has happened. our waitress was great and food was good but hostess staff are rude and unaccommodating.

Yelp
My family and I were looking forward to a nice Sunday evening meal at Samuel Slater's Restaurant. Unfortunately, what we ended up getting was a front-row seat to a clearly intoxicated couple, with the female party vomiting on her table and herself. Needless to say, this effectively ruined our appetites. When the situation was brought to the attention of the waitress, we got a "deer in the headlights" look as if she didn't know what to do. At my wife's insistence, the waitress asked the manager to come over and speak with us. While the manager did apologize, she was more concerned with addressing the intoxication of the the couple, adamantly stating that they weren't over-served. After asking if we wanted boxes for our barely touched food (which we declined), she cleared our table and left, while we awkwardly waited at the table. The manager then came back over with our bill, informing us she was only charging us half price. The amazing part of this story, the intoxicated couple were allowed to stay AND continue drinking! I understand that the conduct of other people is out of an establishments control, but there should certainly be measures in place to deal with situations such as this. To not, and allow this to happen is outrageous!

Yelp
$20 PER PERSON fee just to walk into this place! just to get seated! Never heard of anything like this. We left. No thanks

Paul M.

Yelp
Worst service ever. Food excellent. Waitress never checked how food was. No prices on menu for some drinks, contrary to MA laws. When we complained about lack of attentive service, they made excuse it was busy, but we saw other servers attending other faves frequently and bringing water etc. They then tried to make false complaint about customer commission of an assault when customer just said service sucked. I was less than pleased when they pulled that nonsense. Worst service ever and worst attitude of any restaurant we've ever been to.

Tammy B.

Yelp
During days of concerts the restaurant is only open to VIP customer. To be a VIP customer you must pay $20. So a table of 4 will cost you $80 just to sit in their restaurant. What a scam. I would much rather go to a restaurant that actually wants every one's business. I will never visit this establishment on any occasion.

Yelp
First time checking out Samuel Slaters. Came on NYE for a show in their hall. Originally wanted to do their buffet and show combo but they stopped selling buffet tickets when we went to buy them and only were offering show tickets. They had plenty of reservations open in their regular dining room, so booked a table there instead. I'm kind of glad we were in this situation because the regular dining room and separate show tickets was a much better value... Starting with the cocktails, Mai Thais and smoked old fashioned, both were delicious and packed a punch! Mai Thais used Plantation Rum which is good stuff. Ordered perogies for appetizer which were advertised as locally made. The 4 came with a creamy mushroom/onion sauce, which is different for perogies but were yummy. French onion soup was perfect, loads of onions, croutons and well seasoned. For dinner, the chicken ceaser wrap was served with pulled chicken which was super tender and moist. The Shepards pie was made with BBQd brisket, Delicious! The winter harvest salad was ordered with steak tips cooked medium and the cook was perfect, right amount of pink (check out photos). The BBQ platter was massive, the meats and corn bread were great, however, I was told the potatoe salad was lacking seasoning and the homemade pickles were a little too vinegary. Waitress was super attentive and was honest about recommending various menu items. Even recommended avoiding 1 dish I was contemplating, really appreciated the honesty! Overall, we were all pleased with our dishes and would definitely come back! Don't let the restaurant's location fool you. It's located within a campground but the quality and service was 5 stars!

Yelp
My husband and I went here for an Anniversary dinner. We were the only people nit in jeans or shorts for October. They no longer give you any bread only water . Our meals were set down in front of another couple then brought to our table. my husbands lobster ravioli was lobster ravioli soup. They were floating in the broth My steak tips were cooked medium as requested but the peppers and onions were nothing but mush. We ordered two apps and only received one. The $42 bottle of wine had no description on the menu and the only thing you could taste was sulfate. Terrible experience and meal. We use to enjoy this place,

Yelp
Our first time back since they changed up the menu and went from a somewhat higher end restaurant to a barbecue joint. We went on a busy evening to celebrate our son's milestone birthday. There was 8 of us in our party and we had reservations. We ordered our drinks and appetizers, then we all ordered our meals. They were very very busy so our meals took awhile. When our meals finally came out one in our parties meal didn't come out. I actually didn't realize that the meal was missing until I was done, as I was on the other end of the table and it was extremely loud in there (sitting next to someone and couldn't even hear most of the conversation). The meal did finally arrive when we were all done and they did comp the meal. I ordered the fried chicken dinner and it was ok, nothing particular delicious about it. One person ordered a burger done medium and it was cooked so well done it was like a hockey puck and my 85 year old mother got the fish and chips and said it was the worst fish and chips she ever had in her life!!! Wow! Our server was very nice, but extremely overworked with all her tables. We wouldn't come back for dinner again, but would stop for drinks and apps on a nice day because they do have a beautiful setting.

Yelp
This place has a really excellent view to the water. Their service was good and the food is also great. Would love to return on a warmer day to really enjoy the environment more.

Yelp
We celebrated a 40th birthday as well as a retirement dinner last night. Everything was excellent with a great menu. Danielle was our server. She was spot on. after dinner, they had a comedy show the comedians were so good!I don't know why I don't go there more often. I will definitely be back real soon!!

Jane L.

Yelp
The management and staff are outstanding and do everything possible to ensure a great dining experience. Calling out Julie and Maria of management, who go out of their way to satisfy customers. Dinner is a fun experience, with great food and beautiful views. Bartenders are excellent and drinks are delicious. The wait staff heighten the experience with their smiles and friendliness. I dine there often and had my daughter's bridal shower there. Had to leave a review for an establishment that puts so much effort into making everyone feel like they are a welcomed guest and part of the community. Definitely give it a go!

Yelp
Have always loved Samual Slaters and I bring my 99 year old great aunt to eat here every week and she ALWAYS orders kids mac n cheese and it was never a problem. This time we ordered kids Mac n cheese and she received adult size. I said something to the server and she said she can't order the kids size (even though that's what she gets every week). Sent the female manager on duty over who also told us she couldn't order the kids size even though that's what we ordered. She told us we would have to pay for the bigger size (even though we ordered the kids and not once while ordering did she say you can't order kids size). A good manager would have said, ok since you ordered a kids size and no one said anything when you ordered, we will give you the kids price this time, but in the future you can't order kids portion. If we would have known this rule, we would have ordered a side of Mac n cheese. N happy and don't think we will be coming back due to the principal of the whole situation. So sad and unprofessional:( (The server was very nice, the manager not so nice)

Yelp
We loved this great addition to Webster and beautiful spot right on the lake! Gorgeous spot in all seasons with their wall to wall windows overlooking the lake. My short rib dinner was so flavorful and the short ribs literally melted in my mouth. The accompanying risotto was cooked perfectly... many restaurants serve risotto but very few do it well! My husband had the prime rib and really enjoyed it and his order of medium rare came out just right. The service was attentive and timely. The place gets packed so make a reservation. We want to come back another time when we can sit out on the patio and really enjoy the view.

Yelp
Do not let the drive to the restaurant fool you, yes you go through the trailer park but it's worth it this is a little gem and you won't be disappointed This place has the best food!! It's never too busy so you can walk in during the summer time the windows are open and you can sit out by the lake. I definitely recommend the Korean short ribs and the pea ravioli honestly any food you get from here is good

Yelp
ok lunch recently, you have to drive slowly thru the campground entrance to find this, but i think, worth it....nice looking from outside and on thru the entrance, lovely dining area with outside seating overlooking the lake, service was pleasant and food great, had the pierogies as an app, a reuben, which was great and a different take on chicken parm with ramen, all very good, the yellow jackets were a pain outside as they are in many places so we migrated inside as did a number of others....great looking, great views and very good food and service....bit of a ride for us but glad we made the trip on this, what might be, the last warm day of summer!!!

Yelp
This restaurant was a major disappointment with their service. I came in with a group of 6 adults, we order drinks and food. Service was a bit slow but nothing to outwardly complain about, i received my entree which was described as "shredded chicken" on Mac N Cheese. They serve me a plate of clumps of disgusting rotisserie chicken with fat still stuck to some of the chicken and wet skin dangling on the top of a bed of"Mac N Cheese", the sauce was dry and the second bite of food i had I got a bone in my mouth that was leftover on the chicken breast. I tried to send this dish back with only two bites taken from it, the waitress has no problem taking it away but then sent the "manager" over to apparently explain to me where chicken comes from. After her patronizing me in front of my friends for what felt like forever about where "chicken" comes from I told her i did not care and their dish was gross. She then tells me she's not taking it off the bill, then walks away. I get up and ask to speak to another manager about the way she treated me over a dish i didnt want and barely touched she threatens to kick me out. She then proceeds to bring over our check where she marks us as a "large party" (mind you it was a table of 6 guests) and forces us to leave a 20% tip for service that was horrific. All the servers where snickering about us as we walked out which just shows what type of establishment this is. Honestly the worst restaurant experience ever ever had. If you want to eat tiny sharp bones with your shredded chicken and get berated by a manager over not wanting to eat it this is your place to eat. She also took the nasty plate of food away so i left without the gross chicken dish while paying $25 for it.

Yelp
As Webster locals, we loved Samuel Slater's when it first opened, it was our go-to dining out spot for date night and family occasions. But while the service has always been wonderful, the quality of the food has greatly suffered, especially regarding delivery and takeout meals. The last handful of times that we ordered, the brisket, ribs and pulled pork were disappointing and we began to think that the burgers were the only items left worth ordering. Tonight we ordered delivery burgers and to say they were a let-down is an understatement. Dry, not cooked to temp (well done instead of med rare), unseasoned and cold upon arrival. The fries and tots were soggy and requested toppings were missing. We will not eat/order here again.

Yelp
Easter is a special time with your family. Samuel Slater's Easter buffet was outstanding. We walked in to tables set up so beautifully, The Easter bunny was hopiping around for our grandson, the staff was so warm and accommodating. Most of all, the food was amazing! So much of a variety of different offerings! Fishs, chicken, prime rib, ham, breakfast food, table of fruits and salads and so much more! The food was all hot and adequately temped. We all Enjoyed slaters so much. The new chief brings such delicious food to the menu and table! Can't wait to to stop in for dinner. I heard they may have a new spring menu!!!!

Yelp
We made a reservation, but arrived a little early. The matre de welcomed us and sat us at a great table next to the window with an amazing view of the paddle boat and the lake. Delightful! Our server, Katie was outstanding throughout the meal. She had the perfect balance between being attentive and giving us privacy. She was also intuitive. Proactively filling our needs. For example, we said we would be sharing and she brought us additional plates and steak knives. Dirty plates were removed promptly and our water and wine was topped off. There was a lot of teamwork with the staff. We started with some oysters and the pork belly. Both were really good. The the pork belly came with match stick apples and spinach. Combined it was a wonderful combination. Very chefy. We went on to have a rack of ribs and the pan seared scallops. Both were cooked to perfection. We loved everything and that the smoked beans and squash purée were not overpoweringly sweet. Masking taste with sugar. Overall an outstanding experience. We will be back!

Yelp
Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. We will definitely be back. There is no problem with noise (which has become a problem at so many other places)

Yelp
First time here and I came with mixed expectations. I am glad to say that our entire party (5 adults, 2 teens and 1 child) enjoyed their meals and service.

Yelp
Great views of Webster Lake. Everything we ordered was tasty and in good portions. Nice tie in with the inventor, Samuel Slater.

Yelp
My brother and his family recently moved nearby and my family came up for a visit to see them after spending time on the Vineyard. I stumbled upon this place as a nice restaurant to celebrate a birthday. Although open table said there was nothing available I did what we all used to do and call directly and ask if they had room. They did and we were happy they accommodated us. The restaurant is part of an overall RV compound that seems odd at first but what they did to build out the restaurant itself is impressive. Overlooking a lake nobody can pronounce there feeling is rustic, modern yet airy which made for a nice Summer evening overlooking a calm lake. The food was very good, very reasonably priced and the drink menu was sufficient enough to satisfy city slickers like ourselves. We enjoyed shrimp cocktail, steaks, scallops, duck and salads. Delicious and the service and our waitress were very good! The 4 stars is only because we didn't have a lake view since we sat on the other side of the partition. It seemed like they could've made room and place tables together on the lake view side but in the end it was not a deal breaker. We will be sure to come back when we visit next time for sure.

Lindsay C.

Yelp
This was our first time dining here coming from out of state. To make a long post short, we will certainly not be returning. We brought in a large party of 10 for a birthday party. One person ordered a cheeseburger that came severely over cooked and without cheese. Another person ordered the most expensive steak on the menu, for his birthday, that was so far over cooked, the meal could not be eaten. In an attempt to remedy a decent time, he had it boxed to take home. But it didn't end with just two meals. The ribs were cooked as if they were taken out of the fridge and served. The manager, Julie, was altered to this issue and, although never apologized, offered to bring a new rack. The second rack came out, purporting to be "right out of the oven", but ended up being just as, if not colder than the first batch. The manager and server were alerted again and we were met with extreme neglect and unprofessional behavior by the manager, Julie. We explained the situation, to which we received no apology, and were told "the restaurant does not comp meals" even after the restaurant failed to serve, not one, not two, but several competent meals. I've read multiple reviews saying their meals were comp for just a single issue. We requested to speak with the manager, Julie several times after who proceeded to hide in the office until we attempted to revive our night and leave this sad establishment. The behavior we received from Julie was extremely disappointing. I am giving this review two stars because there were a couple actually good meals that we received, and our server Kayla was great.

Yelp
Don't be put off by the drive through the trailer park to get there, we have enjoyed two weekend lunches very much. Both the reuben and the French dip had tender, tasty meat in generous servings. The fries were hot and crispy and seemed fresh cut. My friend ordered a salad and took 1/2 of it home. And the pierogies were a surprise nostalgic treat. Service was a bit haphazard, but it looked like the restaurant, like everywhere these days, was understaffed and doing its best. The facility is fresh and open with a lovely view of the lake.

Yelp
Our first time here and the food and atmosphere was really good! We sat on the deck and we loved how if u sat indoors they open the big doors so you can see the lake from inside. Very pretty! This looks like it is family/kid friendly. My husband and I loved the decor and the staff was great and very hard workers. I've read other reviews how the food is bland but our dinners were great! The menu is slightly limited noting more of BBQ than seafood or meat dishes. I would definitely look at their menu and book a table on their website or call. We saw the desserts which looked amazing but we were too full to try but a lot of people were buying desserts so they must be good. We will definitely be back! I highly recommend!

Nose in the air - I am better than you clientele. Staff same way. If you dont look rich dont go there because you will be treated second class.

Yelp
So my wife and I made the trek and tried this joint. The food was incredible, great selection of micro brews and cocktails and the service was great. Great outdoor seating and with plenty of fresh air with a beautiful view. I highly recommend

Yelp
Mother's Day brunch at Samuel Slater's. Disappointed beyond belief. My husband and I called on Friday evening to ask them to please reduce the number of people on our reservation of 5 by one. My mother in law had fallen at the nursing home on Thursday evening. I offered to get medical documentation for the incident. They said it did not matter it was not within 72 hours of the reservation. I spoke to Julie today the general manager, knowing she would be able to make the change as there are always extenuating circumstances that change policies. There are human elements and the idea behind taking information to hold a reservation is to discourage no shows. We were not a no show. We paid cash for our meals and Julie had my credit card charged for my mother in laws meal that she was not able to enjoy. The buffet was jam packed with people as it is every year. Disgraceful, shameful, and unreasonable practice.

Yelp
My family, a party of 6, really enjoyed our meal tonight! We started with the "elote" style corn and chips and guacamole - both were really delicious, but I think the corn could have a bit more cheese on it, but otherwise both apps were awesome! The table ordered the white sangria, red sangria, the Lone Star Cooler, and the Kentucky Buck! All the drinks were fabulous, I loved my white sangria. Definitely an "order again" drink! I ordered the Killdeer Island Salad, which was exactly as expected but I was a little disappointed with how lacking the toppings were - I had a huge pile of lettuce but only one slice of avocado, a few pieces of bacon, and barely a handful of shredded cheese. For $14, I really wish I had more of the bacon, cheese, and avocado. I wouldn't order a salad from here again. Honestly, EVERY other part of the meal was perfect! I was just disappointed with the toppings-to-lettuce ratio on my salad. I'm a huge avocado fan and I barely got any. My family loved the pulled pork, beans, and cole slaw. And the cornbread was TO DIE FOR. Definitely the best corn bread I've ever had. The lobster roll was fantastic too - no complaints! I had a bite of my dad's bacon burger and it was delicious! Also, the different barbecue sauces provided at the table are uniquely delicious, especially the house sauce! I'd return just for that sauce alone... For dessert, I split the peach cobbler with my sister. The bourbon whipped cream was the perfect addition to the sweet peaches and cornbread crust! If you like cobbler thats not too sweet, this dessert is perfect! Overall, a MUST visit! The woodsy atmosphere feels cozy but the open, airy, and bright dining area provides it a more "upscale" feel. There's something for everyone here, and I think everyone should try it!

Yelp
All around excellent! Despite mixed reviews we went for it and I'm glad we did. It's a beautiful restaurant with amazing views. We were seated and greeted right away. Our food and drinks were perfect as well as the service. Love the location so will definitely be back.

Yelp
First time here...opening night on the deck for the season. Staff were AMAZING! From the hostesses to bus boys. Waitress was wonderful with letting us taste our wine before buying. Had shrimp cocktail and pork belly appetizers. WONDERFUL! So much flavor! Nashville bbq and Salmon dinner for entree. Let's put it this way...we have found our new dinner spot

Yelp
There were 4 of us. Two of the meals were enjoyed. The other 2 had fish and chips. French fries tasted day old. The haddock was watery. The fish and chips were to come with coleslaw. The slaw was did not arrive with the meals. We asked for it when the waitress returned to check on us. She came back 5 minutes later and said they ran out of it. No substitutions offered. No deduction in the price of the meal. We were brought the dessert sample plate. Not very appealing to the eyes as the samples were frozen, dull in color, and one looked like it had mold on it. We declined. Service was average. The ambience was good with a nice view of the lake.

This place has it all. Incredible view, food and staff. We dine here a few times per month. Love it!

Yelp
Food was good, they were so busy, we had reservations and still waited 35 min to be seated! Water front was a nice environment! Shouldn't take on more than they can chew. Timing between courses should be better planned.
