This place is a hidden gem by the very definition. If you do not know it is there you will walk right by it. This hole in the wall has the BEST A5 experience available at the cost in the whole of Las Vegas. Sea Urchin wrapped in A5 is a treat of creative genius and they have a diverse and authentic Japanese menu full of the best sushi and Wagyu you can hope to find. If there is any criticism it is that the atmosphere lacks distinct character but to be honest I would say that is entirely forgivable because of the quality of the cuisine. The grill is right in front of you and the quarters are tight so it gets WARM up in there. Dress light in the summer and enjoy the heat in the winter and I strongly suggest reservations.

Among the assorted meats, the wagyu chuck flap was the best one, others are not juicy or tender enough. Beef bibimbap and garlic rice are tasty.

Immerse yourself in the unique world of Samurai Japanese BBQ and Grill, where the art of Yakiniku dining is celebrated with unparalleled elegance. The refined sophistication of the atmosphere, the emphasis on quality and flavor of the meat, and the meticulous preparation all contribute to a dining experience that is truly one-of-a-kind. At Samurai, the service is not just impeccable, it's a testament to the expertise and passion of the staff. They are dedicated to guiding you through the menu, providing detailed descriptions of the various marbled meats, including the renowned Wagyu A-5 sirloin and the diverse selection of Premium 8 kinds of beef. Their knowledge and attention to detail ensure you don't miss out on the flavorful thick-cut tongue, a delicacy that offers a uniquely satisfying and intriguing taste. The presentation and preparation of the meats at Samurai are nothing short of remarkable. Each cut is carefully selected and expertly grilled, enhancing the natural flavors. The Wagyu A-5, with its delicate marbling, provides a luxurious and pampering melt-in-your-mouth experience. The assorted beef selection allows you to savor different textures and tastes, each showcasing the high standards of Japanese cuisine. It's important to note that this level of luxury comes at a price. Although the experience is undeniably satisfying, the exquisite portions may not fully satisfy your appetite. Quality takes precedence over quantity, and the pleasure lies in savoring each bite rather than indulging in abundance. In summary, Samurai Japanese BBQ and Grill is not just a restaurant, it's a destination for those seeking an authentic and refined Yakiniku experience. The exceptional quality of the meats, the excellent service, and the sophisticated ambiance combine to offer a dining experience that is truly memorable. While the bill may be significant, the journey into the world of Japanese barbecue that Samurai offers is an exquisite one, worth every penny for those who appreciate the finer things in life.

What an exceptional a quantity taste experience, I felt like I was in old Tokyo there for a second. All the wonders of delicious barbecue mixed with the flavors and autism craftsmanship of Japanese experts. Really glorious. Makes Beniha and look obscene by comparison.

Google
This Japanese BBQ spot was ok. While the cuts of meat looked beautiful and were presented nicely, they didn’t deliver on the tenderness and softness I expected. 1/2 the selection was a little chewy. The dipping sauces were also ok. The garlic sauce was almost like water. On the bright side, the service was great and the pricing wasn’t too bad. But overall, the experience felt average.

Google
It’s a really good restaurant, really good service, when you step into the restaurant, you seemed come to Japan. Every staff there is very helpful and love their job so much!

Everything is so good here. The A5 sampler never disappoints, the rib fingers are 🔥 and the motsu nikomi is always a hit. The table made fried rice is a cool experience ask for Yuta.

Google
Probably one of the best Japanese BBQ places off the Strip, the meats are fresh and tender. The staff are super nice and very polite to us. You could easily feel the smoke in your face if you’re sitting against the wall, upgrading vent system could be the plus. Overall, this is a must-try place if you’re looking for fresh grilled food and an authentic Japanese vibe!

Yelp
First class experience all the way around. Service from Uta went above and beyond. This is the real deal. I MUST return.

Yelp
Service was great Meat selection was great Dessert was delicious We reserved the private area, and it was great Prices were okay, and I don't think I would come back here because there are so many BBQ places around here with better pricing and selections.

Yelp
This may be a very unpopular opinion but I just thought it was okay -Service was excellent -Quality of meat was pretty good, but I wasn't wowed like I have been at other Japanese and/or Korean bbq spots and the sides were just okay to me as well. -I loved that they labeled the meats though! I found that to be very helpful lol.

Yelp
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants in Vegas back when it first opened as I was amazed by the quality of the meat and loved the meat boat presentation. However over the years I've noticed the quality of the meat has gone down while the prices have gone up. Also not a huge fan of their reservation system, you can't make same day reservations. I tried to go as a walk-in and arrived 15min before lunch, they only let the first party in and refused to seat anyone else even though the place was empty. The employee checking people in was also pretty rude.

Yelp
Samurai BBQ was one of the best yakiniku experiences I've had. It was great getting the sampler as we got to try some cuts we haven't had before. The culotte, short rib, thick cut beef tongue, rib finger, and hanger strip were the best. I don't recommend getting the uni bibimbap because the uni gets overcooked and the flavor basically disappears. I absolutely recommend getting the liver sashimi and slightly searing it for more texture and flavor. The service was fantastic on top of it all.

Yelp
Really good! Always maintains fresh ingredients so you could never go wrong. Cooking food this way always tastes good when the ingredients are good . Their Yakiniku-don is really tasty as well, be sure to order when it's available. The restaurant is small and cozy. The service is nice and friendly. Will come back anytime! Will need reservations on weekends, I believe.

Yelp
It was a doubnightte night and our original plans fell through. I had this on mu lost of spots to try so gsve them a call, but just got a recording saying they do reservations only online. Went online and it said they dont do them after a certain time lol so we just chanced it and drove there as we were 5 min away. I popped in amd they just Happened to have one table available for us. It was a much smaller whole in the wall joint than I expected and While their ac was working...it was still a bit warm with how small it was and all the burners going at tables. I was down to try it though and starving at this point. We got their highest tier meat platter for 4. They have us an option to switch out the tongue, and if I realized how thick cut it was I probably would have. It just ended up a bit chewy. I think about half the cuts in there really were like wow this is awesome. We also got an extra order of the a5 wagyu to try as well and that was amazing. They had two dips ththat were a bit different than I have had before. I enjoyed both of them. The guys have a thing for sesame oil and salt and they accomidated them as well. A highlight for me was their spicy tofu. Super custardy and the topping was so flavorful. We also got the garlic fried rice that was maybe more exciting to look at the execution of it rather than the taste being mindblowing. We also got several kimchi sides as well and those were nice, pretty standard. I appreciated their non alcoholic drink options. I got a peach tea that was delightful. Not to sweet and didn't taste artificial. The others shared a bottle of sake which was pretty pricey. It was a slightly larger bottle though, but their bottles seemed to run higher than other spots. The dessert was a creme brule parfait. Its lighter than it looks, and honestly I could have had one to myself because of it. Overall it was a nice new experience. I had some special items I really enjoyed, but not sure if was 100 percent the hype I was prepared for.

Yelp
Great quality beef and super nice staff! I had made a reservation after reading that the place could get packed due to its small and cozy size so no problem getting seated immediately. The place stayed about half full until later in the night so make a reservation if you can but I think walk-in would be fine as well. Food - - our party of three ordered the 8 Kinds Premium Cuts for 3 plus some add-ons such as beef tartare, pumpkin, and Miyazaki Wagyu A5 sirloin and rib-cap. - premium cuts were a great way to sample all the different cuts and find your favorite. Everyone has their own preference but I love the beef tongue and rib finger most. 5/5 - beef tartare - this was my first time having it Japanese style. It was ok/good but not my favorite way for tartare. 3.5/5 - Miyazaki Wagyu A5 sirloin and rib-cap - the staff take so much care in prepping this. Since we had the premium cuts too, they came to tell us that our wagyu A5 cuts were prepped but would stay cooked in the fridge to preserve the integrity of it while we ate the rest of our food. When we were ready, they changed our grill to make sure we get the full experience. And of course, when they brought out the cuts, it comes with a certificate. Really enjoyed their pride in their food and attention to detail. Overall, I had an amazing experience here. The food was great and the staff were so nice and caring, always checking on us and making sure to give us recommendations.

Yelp
Tucked away in a plaza on Decatur, this place's outer image and what they offer are polar opposites; I'm glad we found this place and gave it a try. Honestly, I was expecting a spacious place with a grand entrance and bright lights when I saw the food photos on Yelp and Google, but instead they had a very humble sign out front and a quaint little space inside. When we checked for reservations, there were none available so we bravely decided to do a walk-in and hope for the best! HAHHA Luckily, there was no wait and we got seated right away. The wait staff were very friendly and very attentive. We were waiting on a friend so we got started with a couple drinks. Mint beer* it's weirdly addicting but very sweet-- I don't see myself ordering more than two glasses MAX; nonetheless delicious! We ordered the beef combo for 3 and decided to order some a la carte items to share. The quality of the meat was excellent! It's been some time since we've had outstanding quality meat ... or it's been a challenge to find a place with exceptional quality since many places are more quantity than quality near us (AYCE). At first glance, I was not impressed with the quantity or so I thought but to my surprise I was very full by the end of the meal and everyone at the table agreed that it was enough food. The garlic friend rice was a great addition to the meal and I highly recommend to have some balance of carbs incorporated into the high protein meal. We also tried the cold noodles and I give a thumbs up, some of you may know, I am a cold noodle devotee and can be very critical of the dish, and they were solid! It was great palate cleanser after the barbeque. Undeniably, I'll be back.

Yelp
Great service and the meats are good quality. The place is relatively small so tables are limited. Recommended to make reservations before coming.

Yelp
Yelp Review 2024 #22: I've been dining at restaurants in this strip mall for years but I've never paid attention to this place. At night, their signage is hard to see since it's not one of those neon light signs. I heard about this place from an old co-worker. And all I can say is DAAAMMMNNNN!!! I've been sleeping on this place for years! A reservation was made and we got seated right away. The ladies that worked here were nice, attentive and helpful. Since we've never been here before, we had all sorts of questions that they politely answered. They serve washugyu beef. What in the world is that? According to the information on the sleeve of their menu, they cross-breed American Black Angus cattle with Tajima wagyu and raising them without the use of hormones. They have different cuts and parts of beef. You can even get beef sushi. If you're not into beef, they also have chicken, prawns, squid, and scallops. They have appetizers like tofu, edamame, kimchi, tako (octopus) wasabi, fried chicken, fried squid, fried mushrooms, fried shishito peppers, and French fries. You can get salads, veggies, soups, noodles, and rice. We wanted to try different cuts of meats so, we got the 8-kinds assortment that comes with Premium boneless short rib, Culotte, Premium Outside skirt, Flap meat, Rib finger, Hanging tender, Flank steak, and Thick cut Tongue. I'm not a fan of eating tongue so, we swapped it out. We also got uni bibimbap, garlic rice, and garlic butter. The meats were all delicious. They give you two sauces but getting the garlic butter to dip the meat into was a game changer. Garlic rice and garlic butter - isn't that too much garlic? No such thing! They provide you with a piece of beef fat to grease the grill, a pair of scissors, and tongs. You grill the meat to your preferred done-ness and enjoy. To finish off the meal, you can get nata de coco (coconut jelly) with yogurt sauce, matcha mousse with red bean, almond pudding with fruit, ice cream or crème brulee parfait for dessert. I got the matcha mousse since I love matcha. The whipped cream sweetens the slightly bitter matcha. They have hampers at each table to put your bags and jackets in. Another thing to note, it does get smokey since a BBQ restaurant and the space is small. Plan on taking a shower and changing clothes if you have somewhere to go to after dining here.

Yelp
first time to samurai Japanese barbecue! It was highly recommended by a friend of mine. The service was awesome, they guided us what to order and to lower the heat if needed, also suggested on how to cook the meat. The ambience reminded me of being in Japan all over again Highly recommend if you're looking for something different than what's offered on the strip

Yelp
tender & quality beef, we tried the assorted meats for 4 people, beef grilled bibimbap & soboro donmi. the only meat that we unfortunately didn't enjoy as much as we wanted to, was the wagyu A5 chuck flap, it was extremely fatty & not up to our standard. the place is small so reservations are a must. service was good, as they explain their menu. the ventilation in there is really bad though, it's super stuffy & hot, once you step outside you'll feel much better.
google avatar

Mak B.

Yelp
The meat is super good and delicious! Hearing each piece sizzle was pure bliss. Marbling on their Washugyu meat is great and full of flavor. Don't even really need sauce lol! Ordered the two people 8 kinds premium boat and it was filling enough, leaving room for dessert later as we try multiple places as visitors to Las Vegas area. I greatly appreciated the little tags naming the cuts! Service is extremely friendly and fast! I would highly recommend they repair the sign on storefront because we weren't sure if it was opened at first lol. Windows had black out curtains too.

Yelp
This is such a charming restaurant and such a gem. This is a premium Japanese BBQ spot that's a la carte. Most people are more familiar with Korean barbecue, but this is slightly different. This restaurant is located in Chinatown and their signage and visibility is pretty low. I found out about this place from my coworker who spoke about it and went for my birthday. The menu consist of a premium package of meat that can be ordered for sets of 1, 2, 3 or four people plus other a large carte items like stone rice bowls, Wagyu, veggies, appetizers, and cocktails. They're known for that premiums set and their A5. Experience was great. I thought that service was great- it wasn't necessarily fine dining, but very warm and helpful and pleasant. When items are served servers will educate about cooking. The quality of the meat was noticeably way better than any other Asian barbecue spot that I've had . All of the cuts of meat are labeled so you know exactly what you are eating, and that helps with ordering additional cuts.. I truly loved all of the cuts included in the premium set, but a stand out definitely was the tongue. This could easily be an affordable meal or a splurge depending on how you order but I prefer quality over quantity and I highly recommend this place. Also the desserts were phenomenal.

Yelp
It's a hidden gem! Located inside a strip mall, a friendly and cozy restaurant. The premium beef boat was fantastic. Great quality of meat and good service with affordable prices. (Review based on Jan 2023 visit)

Yelp
Food was delicious and service was top notch. It is a very cute cozy homey feeling inside. This is a small restaurant so may need to make a reservation if you plan on coming on the weekend. The server was patient and attentive. We went in when it was empty but it got busy all of the sudden. They always refill our drinks but once it gets busy only two people serving so there were a bit late when asking for something. Food was reallly good and fresh.

Yelp
The food was great. Although, I wished they had ebi nigiri. Loved the squid. It was so good. The service was good. Pleasant staff. The jpop music that was playing was great, it helped create that calming ambiance.

Yelp
Right beside the strip in this Chinatown but the drive is still like 30 minutes. Food was good and high end. The meat platter came in this delicate wooden boat and each one was labelled with what part of cow it came from, pretty fancy. The eel rice was good too. The place is small and you can make reservations. With that said, they really try to cater it to you. Our served helped us grill some of the meat and mixed our rice for us. Super fulfilling meal of the night.
google avatar

Winnie L.

Yelp
Pro-tip: Make a reservation as they are a small restaurant. If you have no idea what kind of meat you want, just order the premium boat and order more as you go. The slices are a very fair size with lots of marbling and it's a slow, eloquent process so it's a satisfying meal even though it's not ACYE Highlights: There are a lot of options for ordering the meats like preset combinations, individual orders of a specific meat, and a two piece sampling of specific meat. There's also a diagram in the menu to show you which part of the cow it comes from. Aside from meat, there are a lot of other options like appetizers, called dishes, soups, rice, bowls, and more. The service is exceptional as they are very attentive and give bowls for sharing, etc. Lowlights: The restaurant is a bit on the smaller side so it's smart to make a reservation and be cognizant of how big your group is. The dinner can get expensive if you've got a big appetite.

Yelp
Date of Visit: 7/2/2023 Samurai Japanese BBQ and Grill is one of the most popular Japanese BBQ restaurants in Las Vegas. Just walkable distance from another popular Japanese AYCE BBQ, 888 Japanese BBQ. Samurai Japanese BBQ and Grill offer A5 wagyu selection and many other meat, seafood and vegetable selections on the grill. Just opened before COVID in 2019, it was one of the best Japanese BBQ restaurants in Vegas. Sapporo Draft $6.4 Sapporo goes well with bbq. Mango Sour $7.25 Mango Sour was just okay. Miso Soup $2.95 Assorted Meats 8 kinds for 2 $62 Highly recommend the assorted meats 8 kinds, we got the premium selection and there are regular selections as well. You can choose from 2, 3, 4 people. It has premium boneless short rib, culotte, premium outside skirt, flap meat, rib finger, hanging tender, flank steak and thick cut tongue. My favorite was the thick cut tongue, which was extremely juicy and yummy. Assorted Vegetables $9.5 Assorted vegetable plate comes with shitake, sweet potato, corn, asparagus and onion. There were also assorted mushrooms with shiitake, enoki and shimeji with butter and soy sauce in foil, and I think I will definitely order that one next time. Red Rice Prawn $9 With four shrimps on the skewer and 4 shrimp heads for grill. On the side there was lemon juice and sea salt to pair with. A5 3 kinds Sampler $22 If you like A5 wagyu, you can also get an A5 3 kinds sampler, or you can also get 2 pieces per order of the 5 different parts. We chose sirloin, chuck rib and tenderloin, which were all super soft and fat, and burst out oil right after being put into the mouth. Not recommended if you are not a big fan of A5 wagyu.

Yelp
I came here for the first time last night for a friends dinner and was impressed all around! I made a reservation through OpenTable as other reviews have suggested that it's a smaller restaurant and there is limited seating. Got lucky and ended up getting a table at one of their private rooms. I got there a few minutes before the reservation time and got seated right away even though not the entire part was present. We ended up ordering the premium boat for 3 people and added an extra order of thick cut beef tongue on the side. At first it didn't seem like a-lot of food for 3 guys, but it felt just right when we finished. The meat is very high quality and fresh, and they didn't skimp on the cut and each cut had a decent thickness to it. I smelled the beef's natural flavor while grilling and the dipping sauce provided was an excellent complement to the meat. Service was great as well, as they checked in on us periodically even though we were in a room away from the main dining area and they changed out our grilling grate to make sure it wasn't overused and burnt. I'd definitely come back again soon.

Yelp
Delicious food and wagyu meat. I love the uni rice here so make sure you try that. And that creme brûlée desert at the end is heavenly. I want to go back just for the dessert.

Yelp
Wow this place has some really good quality of meats. We had to try out the boat and some waygu! Our server was really friendly and informative of the menu and let us know how long to cook each meats. It's really cute on the inside and not crowded at all due to not that many tables, it would be a really good date spot.

Yelp
Great Japanese BBQ restaurant conveniently located near the Vegas strip in an obscure strip mall. Intimate atmosphere and attentive staff. We all had the 8 Kinds Regular and the meat was tender and flavorful. The garlic fried rice made for a nice side dish.

Yelp
This was easily a 5 star restaurant for a long time, and the best bbq restaurant in Las Vegas, but has been cutting corners ever since on quality control which I can't comprehend.. Premium Outside skirt is their absolutely best meat, different cut of tongue is great as well. I used to come back often for their top notch wasabi to acompany the meat, now it's changed to a bad quality mushy version wasabi, which completely turned the restaurant upside down, why do they remove the best stuff served in the restaurant? They should offer an option to pay extra to get the wasabi they used to serve. The whole meal is not right without the proper wasabi, would not come back until they have the good wasabi in stock again.

Yelp
Im glad I found this hidden gem! But only down side is that you need to make a reservation otherwise the waiting could be long. Quality of meat is exceptional. Loved wagyu sashimi, sea urchine with rib eye wrapped was all right, I would not recommend if you are sea urchin lover. My friend and I got premium combo for 2 people which was enough portion (we dont eat a lot). You can order combo or A La Carte. Service was mediocre, but I enjoyed our dinner. I love their portion and the fact that I can order little and they do have a great selection of appetizers as well. Not sure if they will accept one single person but I'll come back to try again.

Yelp
This was one of my favorite spots pre-pandemic and I was worried it wouldn't make it through all the shutdowns. Well I am excited to to say this place is better than ever and my group had a blast during our most recent visit. We wanted to try a mix of meats so we went with the premium meats for 3 people. All the meats were cut perfectly and super high quality. It's always fun manning the grill and the dipping sauces they provide take everything you cook to another level of flavor. We also tried the wagyu nigiri, mushrooms, sweet potatoes, A5 sirloin and garlic fried rice which paired perfectly and were nice additions to round out the meal. Ice cold Sapporo is the perfect pairing to wash everything down. Even cooler, the staff remembered our group even though we haven't seen them in almost 3 years. This place is the perfect neighborhood spot to enjoy great meats with friends in a casual environment.

Yelp
TIP: Make reservation. This place is small and cannot accommodate walk-ins. Don't even try to come here without a reservation. I had an incredible dining experience at Samurai Japanese BBQ and Grill! From the moment I walked in, the welcoming ambiance set the tone for a memorable evening. The interactive BBQ concept was an absolute delight - grilling the finest cuts of meat and fresh vegetables at the table was both entertaining and delicious. The variety of meat cut options pleased my taste buds, especially the tender Wagyu beef. The staff was attentive and provided excellent guidance.

Yelp
If you're a fan of KBBQ like I am, try premium Japanese BBQ from Samurai and I promise you.. your life will change! They are located in the Chinatown plaza with Hwaro 2 & Griffs. I highly recommend making a reservation beforehand, it's a small restaurant and fills up quick. They have a private room you can book for up to 8 people also. We booked private because we had our baby with us and it was an amazing experience! Service was quick, attentive, and friendly. They are not an AYCE restaurant. Everything here is a la carte, but they do have different meat combinations that come in boats so you can try a variety of their meats. There's a premium & regular boat with 8 kinds of meat, for 2-4 people. We ordered the premium 8 kinds boat for 2 people, the Japanese A5 Wagyu sampler where you choose 3 different cuts of A5 to try, the short rib bibimbap bowl, and some fried chicken and French fries for our son. The meats in the 8 kinds boat were incredible. Each piece was so tender and paired so well with their house barbecue sauce. Our favorites were the boneless short rib and the outside skirt. Our grill was changed before we tried our A5. The sampler was definitely the highlight of our visit. Each piece was better than the next. They were so soft and melted in your mouth! Perfect with a little salt. I highly recommend the bibimbap bowls as your side instead of plain white rice. They are mixed in a hot stone bowl table side and served to you fresh and hot with crispy rice. They have one with uni, one with unagi, short rib, mapo tofu, and a garlic fried rice. They have really great drinks as well, from soju to sake, beer and wine, and mixed drinks. My husband mixed cassis with apple juice and it's definitely a new favorite. Overall, this restaurant is amazing!! It's pricey but so worth every penny. Can't wait to come back!

Yuchen Y.

Yelp
good service, the only downside is dipping sauce, kinda overlaying wagyu's flavor, if only pepper&salt + soy sauce would be much better

Yelp
Amazing quality meat here. I came at around 5 pm on a Sunday and it was surprisingly dead! The waiter was super helpful in explaining the way the menu works and stressed this WAS NOT AYCE. I got this wagyu sampler plate ($35) and it was actually very filling. You do have to cook the food yourself, and the waiter told me that 1.5 min on each side was good, but I felt it needed more time (especially the thick cuts). Also got some fried enoki mushrooms that were delicious, and a side of snow crab bibimbap. All in all, amazing experience and left feeling extremely satisfied.

Yelp
With some excellent quality meat and gracious service, Samurai really delivered an enjoyable dinner experience for us this weekend. Although this place might not get the same attention as the other nearby Yakiniku spot, Samurai dishes out some seriously delicious eats, in a more quiet and intimate setting. That includes beautifully marbled premium cuts of beef along with a bevy of indulgent dishes like the Washugyu Carpaccio, Uni rice bowl and assorted mushrooms cooked in butter. I really liked their 2-piece a la carte menu which enables you to try small portions of each meat. Although everything we ordered was top quality, my favorites were the premium short rib and the thick-cut tongue. The beef tongue was a bit thicker than what I'm used to, but my God was it flavorful. The one thing that separates this spot from others is that they take reservations. Although there is a cancellation fee, the last thing I want to do in Vegas is wait over an hour for dinner. So if time is a little more important to you than value, Samurai is an excellent choice for Yakiniku. You will no doubt be treated to some great quality meat.

Yelp
There was plenty of seating however I'd make reservations as the place is small. The staff was very attentive and helped explain how everything worked well. The meats they're using are extremely high grade and was perfect so any issues would have been the results of our cooking. The 2 piece sampler was actually more than enough as the meats are heavily marbled so you really don't need too much. The wagyu sashimi and uni was great and then eating the 3 piece wagyu was just too much fatty meats for me to consume comfortably. The place is perfect if you're looking for high end Japanese bbq.

Yelp
This place is quality and everything we had was so good! For the 4 of us we had the following: 8Kinds Premium: everything was bomb and my highlights are the tongue and the rib finger. Large intestine (miso): one of my faves here! So delicious. Samurai salad, pork jowl, karaage, oxtail soup, sea urchin bibimbap, and the nata de coco dessert. I would get everything again!

Yelp
Heads up! You'll need a reservation on Open Table for this place. We came in as they opened on a Saturday night, and it was fully booked for the next 5 days. It's best to reserve in advance. The following week, we were finally able to sit down around 8:30 PM. We were seated right away. The first thing you notice is the interior and the little note card on the table with your name reservation!! The second is that each table has a little hamper for you to put coats or bags in-- pretty sure it's to keep your stuff from smelling like meat. The bathroom also has little items that can help you freshen up- oil blotting sheets, lotion, etc... didn't use any of them, but it's a nice little accommodation they had. We ordered a lot of meat and it came in a wooden boat. We also tried Wagyu for the first time. As soon as that order came in, the server placed a certificate next to the order. You could select three types of Wagyu out of the 5 choices. It's true-- it really does melt in your mouth. Highly recommend the chuck flap and tenderloin Wagyu!! It was a nice experience here!! A good place to try with loved ones!! :)

Yelp
Samurai Japanese Bbq and Grill was recommended by a friend when we all came to visit Vegas. So we made reservations for a lunch with a party of five. They had our name at the table already and all the place settings were there when we arrived on time! I love it when that happens and there isn't a wait not that we don't have a table ready! The place is located in a small strip mall next to a massage place. While the outside might not look that pleasing the inside was super cute. It feels like a very traditional Japanese Bbq spot. I have the grill on the table and that is where you will be cooking the meat on. If you don't like the heat you should sit away from the grill and make a friend cook it for you. Overall the meat was tasty and we had a wonderful time here! Service was on point and the meat cuts look good. The only vice I have about this place is the sauces. But besides that everything else was great!

Yelp
Food and service is always amazing. We've been coming here since 2020, and the food and service never disappoints! *always reserve because it can get busy & it's a small restaurant. We get seated right away and they always have a table ready with your name on it! :)* We always get the beef tartare, the 8kinds premium for 2ppl (the meat boat), a bibimbap bowl, and finish off with the crème brûlée parfait. The 8kinds premium for 2ppl seems like it's not enough, but trust me, it sure does fill you up! & I love how they label each meat so you know what kind of meat you're eating & you can pick a favorite. You're also able to order items a la carte as well if you want more meat after finishing the boat. Servers are always attentive and explain how to cook your meats if you're unsure. They also give you suggestions on what to get and they don't budge you to buy more than what you want like other places. Always recommend this place to family & friends and none have been disappointed when dining here.

Yelp
Came here 9pm on a Friday night and there was no wait for a table! Yay! We ordered: - 2 piece premium sampler (5/5: the cuts were super good quality! We were content with the portion - Edamame (2/5): super salty - Chicken wings (4/5): eat immediately while it's crunchy! - Tako wasabi (5/5): not too spicy, loveddddd it as an appetizer - Cold beer (5/5): not over-priced! I wasn't a fan of the limited dipping sauces, but I'd love to come back and try more menu items! The prices were very reasonable imo.

Yelp
The creme brûlée parfait! If you order anything from here, order that! So good I can eat 5 of them for dinner! But aside from this amazing desert, This place is my favorite Japanese bbq in town! The service, the staff and the food! All around 5 stars for sure! The pork jowl is so delicious! And the wagyu that they cook for you is chefs kiss! Make a reservation and go eat here!

Yelp
Our favorite must go place when we visit Vegas. Nice little place. Very friendly waitress. The small portions of wagyu is perfect to try all the different cuts.

Yelp
Everything was amazing, food, ambiance, and service. The front is all blacked out with shades with a "We're open sign" in front, and as you walk in you're just amazed with what is hidden behind those shades. Very professional service giving you all the information and help you might need. Meats were quality and every bite was heaven. My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our selves, and even though we didn't have a reservation, they accommodated space for us. I am definitely coming back here again.

Yelp
The quality of the meat is good. But the sauce is not much of flavor. I ask for wasabi. Wasabi is really bad. You would have to know how to cook your meat and pay attention to it. Quite tiring. I want to say the service is good since they put your name on a small card and put on your table. That's sweet. But you pretty much do the cooking yourself. Not much of a service. Food portion is small. I ordered 8 kinds for 2 people and beef liver sashimi. Just enough for myself. Very little vegetables come with the combo. Disappointed. For the price, I am ok with the meat but they could be more generous on the veggies. The thick cut beef tongue is not that thick. For Japanese bbq, thick cut would be thicker. Liver is very good. Other than that, consider to its price, I would say buy the meat from a Japanese supermarket and cook it at home would be a much better choice. Put everything together, if they could do more on veggies in the combo, improve their sauce, fix the thick cut, they might deserve a 4 star. But for this time 3 stars and not worth going. I really should try the 888 all you can eat next door. Meat quality might not be as good as samurai. But definitely will be happier

Yelp
The sign was hard to see, so I had a bit of trouble finding the place, but the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Every dish was extremely delicious. The fresh wasabi with the meat, paired with the Hibiki highball, was amazing. The restroom was also very clean and well-maintained. I live in LA, but I will definitely come back if I visit Vegas again. I wish we had a restaurant like this in my neighborhood.

Yelp
Love love love the place! Great quality and food presentation. I was just hoping the server can tell me which type of meat I should start with. lol

Yelp
The food was great. It was just the one server ruined everything. Why does it not make sense to close the vip room door? She said it doesn't make sense because we seem like kids. It was the old lady server with mask on. She said everything doesn't make sense. Can you explain again what didn't make sense? I guess she hates her job but I hope she knows she doesn't have to be rude to customers.

Yelp
If you're planning on dining here, I recommend securing a reservation (via opentable). We ended up waiting a little over an hour for a table (for 2) on a Monday night. We didn't secure a reservation initially because they charge $20 per person if you cancel the day-of, and we didn't want to fork out that amount in case we couldn't commit to the dinner plan. It was our first time here so we ordered the premium (2-piece) boat to try out the different cuts of the wagyu. The boat comes with 8 different cuts: Outside Skirt, Coulotte, Hanging Tender, Rib Finger, Flank, Tongue, Short Rib, and Flap Meat. Out of the 8, we like the Short Rib and Outside Skirt best. Everything else we ordered was pretty fresh - from the tako wasabi, uni wrapped short rib, to the garlic fried rice. The garlic fried rice was super tasty and aromatic, they mix the raw egg in the fried rice at your table. The service was great! Our server was super friendly and attentive, she thoroughly explained everything in the menu. I will definitely return but will order a la carte (on the wagyu) next time.
