Samurai Japanese Steakhouse and Sushi has always been our go-to spot for a nice dinner whenever my husband and I get the chance. This time, I went with my girlfriends to celebrate her birthday, and we had such a great time! The food was amazing, the sashimi was super fresh and really good quality. Our server "Sand" took such good care of us and made everything even more special. We were all so happy and can’t wait to come back again. Thank you for making our day so wonderful

I took my daughter here for her birthday. It was a party of 8 and I had made reservations a day ahead, the day of I was running a little behind schedule and called and asked if they have a grace period they said yes ten minutes and I said great and we showed up on time. We were sat quickly, which was nice the hostesses were both very courteous. Unfortunately, my server Marcos was not. He started by immediately taking our drink order, which I thought Was nice and that he was just being attentive. About five minutes later, he came right back And asked me if we were ready to order. I told him I had just written down the other six orders of the children of the party and if I could just have a moment so I can look at the menu for myself, He told me no that I need to order now because they need to hurry and get it to the kitchen . I was also on the phone while he was trying to talk to me, and I was speaking to my mom and asking her to hold on Because I need to hurry and order now because my server is rushing me a little bit he looks at me and goes “ You were late to your reservation” And I asked him “excuse me?” And he repeated “you showed up to your reservation late” and I corrected him. “No, I spoke to the hostesses and they said I have a 10 minute grace period and I made it on time.” To which he responds “oh, OK then.” And he turns and walks away. I am a person who prides herself on how she treats others. I pride myself on the respect that I give strangers. I am also and have been in the culinary union for over 11 years. I have never been looked at and spoken to the way that Marcos the server did tonight. I felt embarrassed. I felt belittled the people at the other table were Looking at us because they could see that it was obviously an uncomfortable conversation. I got up and I was about to leave. I actually did leave and I decided to go back and speak to a manager Because you do not treat people like that And I felt like he needed to be aware of how his server was conducting himself tonight. The manager acted shocked, he said that he couldn’t believe that Marcos was behaving Like this. And that this isn’t usually him and just using a bunch of excuses instead of what a manager should be doing, is apologizing and trying to fix The situation at hand. He didn’t wanna do that until I told him your waiters bad attitude is about to let a $400 table walk away. The manager’s ENTIRE demeanor changed he offered for me to come back in. He said he would get us a new server Which I allowed him to do that Since my daughters and her friends had been looking forward to this all week. I spent $415 - $315 of it Was just the bill. The server was nice and the chef put on a great show for the kids. But just because this specific server made this situation so uncomfortable, I will never ever ever waste money At this hibachi place again. Marcos continued to work at the bar and give dirty looks to me and my guests the rest of the time we were there. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL CAN SOMEONE BE. Geisha house down on Desert Inn is way better and they have way better customer service. The food here was pretty mediocre. The salad is good, love the ginger dressing but the soup was very bland. I’m gonna be honest as somebody who eats hibachi very often. Musashi Would have to be one of the best Next hibachi spots. Don’t waste your time don’t waste your energy, I’m glad for my chef and the server who came and took over and was so kind and empathetic Just trying to help my daughter have a good birthday. Thank you to them so much.

Came for my 45th Bday dinner with family & friends. It was fun! Our tepinyaki chef was a good show.

First time trying this place. Really great food for a great price. I was seated at the bar where I can talk to the chef sushi. It was a great experience. The rice is not too thick and very high quality of seafood. I highly recommend for the whole family.

This place is awesome. We sat at a normal table and had lunch. It was very delicious and big portions. The server was very nice and food was delivered quickly. They did say the "cook in front of you" hibachi you need a reservation and more time for the full experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place for dinner.

Excellent choice for a special occasion. Sushi was very tasty. Especially the house Samurai Surf and Turf. Service was good (a little slow but not a big deal). I would have given it a 4 star had it not been for the price point. Yes, Food was good, however not $230+ for 3 adults, 2 kids (toddlers) good. Maybe times have changed a bit and costs have gone up. Good find and good place to try out at least once

This was my first time dining here my family took me here for my birthday and everything was amazing and delicious!! The cooks were very entertaining and friendly. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place...

Requires reservations for the Hibachi experience. Went there with my family and had a great time. We went as early so no one really was in the restaurant but us so service was fast. Our server made us laugh a few times and entertained us while he was cooking our food. Going again for sure. It is pricey but you're getting what you paid for. My family had a great time. Food was delicious he cooked all our meats to our liking perfectly. The meats were so tender and moist. They also serve sushi here but I only tried their creamy shrimp which btw was very tasty. I hope next time to order something different and taste just as excellent as the first time. The portions were good and I was satisfied. Deserts I didn't really try but they in my opinion could have better options for dessert with such an expensive restaurant. Go here you won't be disappointed

Food is great! For the sushi eaters the all you can it is fantastic! I preferred the Udon and it was delicious! The mothers ordered the bento box with Katsu chicken and it was really nice! Lots of families, all ages, definitely a family ambiance. Service as good, slowed down as more customers walked in, the front desk could be nicer, but our server was friendly! We will come back !

I've been going here for so long, and as good as the food is - there's always something happening. This last time was just the final straw I don't think I can come here anymore or recommend it to anyone. This past time was just infuriating. I sat at the grill and ordered the veggie - being as I'm a vegetarian. When it came to the veggies, I was the last to get veggies and had the smallest amount out of everyone. I've never left hungry before. We were sat next to friends of the cook, who he was giving almost triple size servings. It was getting ridiculous at one point, they kept laughing and bragging at how absurd it was. The chef even mentioned that management told him he cannot give them that much, and he said he didn't care. The cook was also siphoning a portion for himself in each course, and had the bar keep bringing him drinks. I don't know any job where the customer facing worker can be drunk and taking part of what the customers pay for himself lol? Two times ago, when the cook went around and asked what each of us ordered - he got to my sister (who is plus sized) and said and I quote "what, no hamburger on the menu??" and kept speaking random Spanish words to us because we look Hispanic. Pretty insane.

We had a great dinner here! Food was all fresh. I definitely recommend reservations, especially on the weekend. Our chef was friendly and made everything taste great. My only complaint is we were a party of 4 and three wanted hibatchi, but I wanted AYCE sushi. They won't allow that since the other three wanted to sit at the teppanyaki table. They said I could sit at the sushi bar by myself, which I wasn't going to do. They allow you to order sushi a La carte at the hibatchi table but not their AYCE menu. I feel like if you are going to offer all these options, they should all be available. I ended up just getting sushi a La carte. It was good.

We had a good time with our friends but the only thing I didn't like was that the chef kinda burn the eggs and we had also egg shells in the fried rice. The service was fast and the waiter was very helpful. The atmosphere was cheerful.

Diane and I enjoyed another fine teppanyaki meal here, beginning with a fresh Alaska Roll that featured salmon and avocado, and light and golden Shrimp Tempura. Other reserved guests at our grill never showed up, so we had a performing chef all for ourselves. And, he was the same grill master who cooked our dinner over a year ago! The expansive meal included tasty Onion Soup and a refreshing salad, followed by melt-in-your-mouth medium-rare Filet Mignon, perfectly cooked Shrimp and chunks of Lobster, sweet Noodles, numerous Grilled Vegetables, and Fried Rice with egg. Among the vegetables were zucchini, carrots, broccoli, mushrooms, Green Onions, and White Onions. Hot Tea helped me wash everything down. We experienced fine service and superb food, so this will remain our go-to place in the Las Vegas valley for teppanyaki fare.

Absolutely amazing!!! I got chicken and my bf got lobster and steak. We got a few pieces of shrimp each. I don't typically like seafood but I decided to try it and .... Oh my gosh .... it was amazing and the fried rice was sooo good. I'll be going back for my birthday. Put me in a food coma as soon as I got home. Didn't get any pictures of our food but it was delicious. Highly recommend !!!

We only come here for the Hibachi. I always get the Filet Mignon, Shrimp and Lobster combination. My son gets the Chicken and Shrimp, and my sister gets the Filet Mignon and Shrimp. Everything is cooked as desired and we're always happy about it. The entree comes with soup, salad, noodles and rice - We always upgrade to fried rice. It does not come with dessert. Our favorite chef is Gio - flavor is always on point. Ambiance - the place looks a bit old and some improvements would definitely make it look better. No significant issue with cleanliness. if they're busy, it can get loud. It is family-friendly. I like that they accept reservations. They have 6 hibachi tables so just to be sure, I always call to reserve. Lots of parking

Birthday dinner! Woo hoo! Well. I'll give it a woo for the good company of our family and friends. Sadly dinner was just average. The food, plentiful but not much in the way of flavor. The best parts of the dinner were the gyoza appetizer. Between all of us we had chicken and steak and one person had salmon. I'm allergic to shrimp but it looked good. Nothing seemed all to be very seasoned. Our chef was funny but overall not the showman I've seen before at other teppenyaki places. Overall the service was quick, almost too quick to enjoy the dinner. Our server was attentive. I like that you can have up to 20 people on 2 tables that are formed like a square. So that's a plus if you have a larger party. We had a nice time but probably won't return.

Went here for a business lunch arrived at noon, they open at 11. We couldn't be seated until 12:30 because, that's when a grill cook would be available. The host staff was not very friendly but, the wait staff and cook were great. The ambiance was very quiet and low key, it was early in the day so there weren't many patrons at the time. The food was good, we indulged in a little of everything... my only complaint was there was hair in one of our sushi orders. Had it not been for this mishap, the restaurant would have received 4stars..

Great food had the lobster/shrimp combo! Fried rice and margarita! Everything was fresh and delicious grilled to perfection! Chef was amazing and entertaining.

We dined here hoping for a teppanyaki experience, but apparently you have to make reservations in order to have that experienced. Otherwise, you'll be seated at the table. We did the shareable meal, which was more than enough food. Everything was good to perfection. Our server was on point and attentive. There are only a limited amount of grills, however.

This is one of our favorite places for family celebrations. Any time we want to have a fun dining experience we go to Samurai. Children and adults are entertained and everyone leaves with a full belly. The servers are attentive and genuinely friendly. The chefs are comedians and magicians who cook everything to perfection, always happy to indulge special requests. The price point is great! For the teppanyaki meals, we typically get steak, teriyaki chicken, or steak and lobster. Every meal comes with soup, salad, rice ($2 up-charge for fried), grilled veggies, 2 appetizer shrimp, noodles and all the yum yum sauce you want! I highly recommend this restaurant, reservations are always a good idea, especially if bringing a large group.

Have never eaten here before but called for a take out! I ordered the chicken and steak meal with fried rice. I thought $36 was a bit expensive but you actually get a ton of food. Good enough for three meals! The reason I'm giving it three stars is because I found most of the meal a little oily, especially the veggies. They tasted like old oil, I avoided them. The rice was also prettt oily but still had good flavor. The ginger salad and soup were great.

One of my favorite hibachi restaurants .the are extremely careful of my citrus allergy and the servers never seem annoyed with my modifications .

We've been dinning here for many years. Phenomenal service every time , great atmosphere, amazing quality food, best hibachi in town for sure, great portions, best quality ! Love the sushi . Definitely recommend

Such amazing food and the experience is so fun! We always request Gio because he is so much fun and makes the best spicy sauce. We did the tepanyaki with a party of 4. I got the shrimp, lobster, and filet cooked medium rare. The wait staff is so fast and friendly. My water never got below half without a quick refill. We sat with a big party and it was a good time. It was pretty warm in the restaurant but that's okay because they are obviously cooking with fire! It's always really busy in there, but the wait goes by fast. They have a sushi area and a fresh cooking area. It's nice to see all the other tables having a good time while you wait. My food was cooked perfectly and was so delicious. I can't wait to go back.

Samurai is decent for the price. If I'm looking for something quick, cheaper and decent flavors - This is my place of choice. I can't speak to the Hibachi as I haven't tried it yet. But, the sushi is pretty decent and you get a lot for your money. The service is always quick and friendly. The portions are a little small when it comes to sushi. The rolls themselves aren't very big. The restaurant itself is always clean and cool. It overall has a casual nice vibe. I'll go back. I just have other places I prefer over Samurai. But when you need a decent cheap sushi place. This is definitely the place to go!

Always a great choice for me and my family. We usually come around the slow time as to avoid the crowds for lunch/dinner and we have all been here more times than I can count over the years. The food is always excellent - my husband and I usually get the all you can eat (two separate orders of course) and if you come hungry you can come out on top price wise for the quality and quantity you get. This most recent time, we weren't "all-you-can-eat" levels of hungry so we opted to get dishes instead; I got the Tuna Poke Salad with a side of Fried Rice and my husband got the Nabeyaki Udon bowl - both were phenomenal and the presentation was really fun (I attached pics of both). It's always dark and cool, which is exactly how I like it and the service is never disappointing. Although, I do miss our favorite server Vincent, but every other server we've ever got was always attentive and kind and the food always comes out really fast. The one thing I will fault this place on is it's music choice; usually the music they play is nice but sometimes you'll get absolute garbage. Like, booty bumpin', completely incoherent lyrics about racing cars or scoring hoes or something along those lines and we always just look around at each other and laugh but sometimes you'll luck out and get some chill, calming music. I'm not going to knock them a star off for the music choice because it usually just makes me laugh and the food and service are absolutely too good but if I had one criticism, it would be that horrendous music. We do plan on trying the teppanyaki table soon but honestly, it's not even a requirement considering the countless times we've been in there and not once have we actually committed to the teppanyaki table, but it always looks like fun when they put on a show. I will always come here and I will always recommend this place to people. This place is killer.

I tried the chicken teriyaki here. There is plenty of parking. Staff was nice. The inside looks like a teppanyaki restaurant. The chicken was very good, with a buttery flavor, but not quite authentic as far as having a teriyaki taste. Everything else with the meal was also good.

I was disappointed.......the food wasn't that good this past time we went. We were mainly disappointed in our noodles as the chefs put yum yum on our noodles it was terrible! I ordered my steak medium and it came out as well done. Service was nice. Ambiance was pretty normal nothing special.

My neighbors and us were talking about doing Hibachi and our neighbors chose this place because it was so close by and nobody felt like driving around in 115 degree heat. We made reservations for 4 and went there for lunch. it was a little concerning because the parking lot was empty for a Saturday afternoon. We got seated right away and had the friendliest waiter in that whole place. Our chef was equally amazing and and so was the food. We had the chicken teriyaki with shrimp and added the steak as well. Everything was cooked perfectly and the entertainment aspect was GREAT. We were pleasantly surprised by this little off the strip hole in the wall place and we will definitely be back. Also not a bad price and the portions were BIG with everyone needing toGo boxes . Give this place a try, even for lunch, it's pretty amazing.

We've been coming to Samurai for a few years now. Their AYCE sushi is nice, and the teppanyaki is delicious and always entertaining. I had the teriyaki chicken and shrimp, and the fam had steak and scallops. Mine was cooked perfectly. The shrimp are so tasty. The fried rice, noodles, veggies, soup, and salad make it a meal that will definitely fill you up. The scallops are huge and cut into quarters. Such amazing flavor! We normally get a bottle of sake to go with it, and they have a nice selection of hot and cold options. We will be back. This should be a place you try. NOTE... make a reservation in advance, otherwise it can be difficult if not impossible to get in, particularly on weekends. Enjoy!

The food is amazing. We eat here yearly for my birthday. I got a Togo today and wanted to give Melanie a shout out she was very accommodating.

Love this place, fun, delicious, always a good time - my favorite go to for my celebrations or when you need a reason to smile! Food has always been perfect.

A nice little lunch. After stopping at Costco (which I forgot to check in at..ha). We stopped at Samurai for a quick lunch. Good food to be had. We showed up a bit after 12 so they weren't slammed with customers yet. On a Saturday that is a bonus.

As far as Japanese steakhouses go, this would be a traditional option. The food was average at best, but the service great. Our chef was very friendly and energetic. There are plenty of side options. It is a little pricey for the quality of the food but understandable because you have a live cook. I won't come again just because there's better options but depending on what time and budget you have, this could be a good option if you really are in the mood for Teppanyaki. I would like it to be a little cleaner, but I wouldn't say that it was dirty enough that I wouldn't want to eat there.

My wife says the shrimp lovers was really good we feel the fried rice went down hill from ordering in the past this time my angry lion king roll was pretty good as well it some what affordable for the price sushi and service was really great minus them giving us one regulur fork before ordering fried rice I asked second server for second fork took her second get it for me handing me plastic fork instead the total for side fried rice two drinks and two sushi rolls was $34.68 but the sushi was well worth I say we will be back those eventually to try there hibachi

This used to be our first night dinner choice on our monthly trips to Vegas. We have family in Henderson and we sometimes end up going two or three times a month. Went last night and with Gio gone, NOT the same at all. Only a few familiar faces. We did table seating this time and The food was so slow coming out and once it got to us, the waitress couldn't get away quick enough and wasn't worth the wait. We won't be going back and I'd sure love to know where Gio's new restaurant will be.

The wait staff wasn't the most attentive. I had to stop people to ask for things that should come with stuff. Like soy + wasabi with sushi. Chef was amazing, the steaks were a little under (but I'm not one to complain or ask for it to be cooked longer haha). The food was delicious!! It was my sons first time at teppanyaki + he loved it. The flame freaked him out a little but he loved the food.

Food is very good a little pricey but most of there staff was very helpful. Greet at door and was told we could not be seated until the whole party was there. I under stood that so we had about 18 people at the front door. But the door person was not very Customer friendly. It not what she said it how she said it. We did have a good time despite our start

Late Monday night eats Miso soup - while delicious not hot House salad - I'm still trying to figure out how to make that dressing they add it's so addicting makes you want a second salad. New York tepenyaki classic - steak was fully cooked I'm a medium rare type but I admit it wasn't bad. Shrimp tepenyaki classic - perfectly cooked and the dipping sauces on the side which were the yum yum and ginger sauce brightened up all the flavors on our plates. Both tepenyaki came with soup, salad, fried rice and noodles. Dim lighting felt so relaxing Not crazy noisy but it was a Monday night dinner but I love enjoying a night where I can hear my partner talk and eat delicious food. Service was lovely it was our first time so our girl went over the menu and all you can eat sushi options. Was very prompt in bringing us our starter items but lagged on our drinks a lot. It's hard getting through a meal with out something to sip on.

The food was delicious we had the Teppanyaki and the food was so great. The service was amazing and the chef who cooked for us was funny and very friendly the wait staff where on top of everything and got us anything we needed so fast. The ambiance is awesome I like the place and setup of the restaurant. We have been to this place 2 times and will be going back soon.

Been here a couple times, very close to my house. Each time I dined in the experience was mediocre. Ive only done the AYCE sushi side and not the hibachi. It looks like people enjoy the hibachi side but I've had Benihana numerous times and I know all the tricks already. The sushi is good. The rice to fish portion is ok. I wish they did half rolls so I can try different kinds of rolls and not be limited. The staff is nice but nothing really spectacular that stood out. Things came out fast which I appreciated.

It's been awhile since I've come in, but there's one server in particular that knows me & makes an attempt to always say hi Doesn't matter if he's not preparing my food, he always stops by, that's important The food is always amazing, I take home enough for a couple more meals truly Ambiance is good, you can sit at the bar, a table or front & center as they prepare your food, it's a show of some kind every time I stop in

My husband and I went here and the food was amazing, nothing compared to the show. The guy cooking even had a whistle and said "all a board" was great. I loved the restaurant and that everyone was nice and pleasant.

We've been regulars here for a long time, and are big fans of the rolls here. It's, of course, very Americanized rolls but they're absolutely delicious. We even have regular servers, I'm a big fan of Akiko who remembers us and always treats us with such kindness. It feels like the staff has often gone the extra mile when I come in. I definitely love this place. The only feedback negative I have is that there have been a few times where the cleanliness has dropped a little bit, never severe enough for me to not return, but it's the one think in the place I think could use a little work, especially with the price point continuing to rise. Definitely recommend this place still, and it is my regular spot. No matter what AYCE place I try I always wind up back here.

SO GOOD, amazing food, great service, and the looks of the place inside and out are gourgeous. The inside is so pretty and the food is even better! Only thing that bothers me is that it's a longer wait for the chef's than it should be. Otherwise, 10/10!

I'm a sushi person so when we saw all you can eat and pictures on Yelp looked great we figure we give it a try for the most part sushi selection is pretty wide big menu to select from They have alcohol yahhhhh Oysters we not the business with some kind of raw onion relish I couldn't eat it at all Think the quality of sushi defiantly could of been better but I understand in a all you can it situation you won't get sushi grade fish right

Quality of the sushi was great but customer service was not up to the same standards. We sat down for all you can eat sushi and we weren't given wasabi, ginger, or extra plates until we already started eating and had to ask for it. Anywhere else we go this is the first that's given to us. But besides that, what is really upsetting is we ordered chicken teriyaki for our daughter and she didn't like it. We told our waiter and he said they are unable to remove it, the most they can do for us is give a to-go box. We were forced to pay $12 for a plate of chicken that we didn't even like and won't end up eating. Again, quality of the sushi was great but won't be coming back with this customer service.

So my family really loves hibachi. I mean really loves hibachi. As far as hibachi restaurants go however this place really wasn't very good. The chef had a wonderful personality and was a ton of fun but the chicken had a horrible rubber texture. In addition the chef put about a quarter cup of garlic paste on everything. Even if you like garlic a lot it was way too much. The only flavor you could taste at all was garlic. Heavy strong raw tasting garlic. Garlic garlic garlic. Headed back to California, pretty sure I will still be tasting nothing but garlic when I arrive in 4-5 hours.

BUDGET FRIENDLY DINNER. Stopped in with my husband right before a concert at Sunset Station. Hostess was friendly, quoted us 30-40 minutes since we had not made a reservation but much to our surprise, we were seated in 15 minutes. Service was prompt and friendly. Garlic Edamame was really savory and not overpowering. We ordered a few specialty rolls to share with each other. I noticed they varied in portion size 6-8 pieces depending what your order. The sauces ( eel, ponzu, yum yum ) were a little too runny and light for my pallet but overall good. The cut on the rolls were also a little thin from what I am used but hey with the price point - it is was worth the value! The restaurant itself is very open and offer teppanyaki along with other dishes on the menu. there is also plenty of bar seating in the area !

We love this place last time here was for my daughters birthday last month on 12/10/2022 Sumo our amazing chef was out of this world! He was highly attentive, funny, entertaining interacted with us the whole time... made our evening a memorable one, thanks Sumo!! The food is always delicious, the price is not bad yet well worth it!! The atmosphere is nice and highly pleasant! Always a good experience. Thankyou for your great swrvice.

King Kong! You were awesome, had a great time. The food was excellent and perfectly cooked! Kong was enthusiastic, and happy to be at work, give this man a raise Diego was our server and was just as happy to be here as Kong. Our drinks never got low, we never even had to ask. Love this restaurant. Was sooooo good, and I need a nap!

Sizzling fun as you watch your meal being prepared in a flipping fun way! Our cook for the evening was Kong he was funny and entertaining, food tasted great and lots of it so bring your appetite! I do have some constructive criticism I would believe the server or the Cook should ask if anyone has any allergies as one of our party was allergic to shellfish and they cook all the food on the same grill, so they had to cook the food in the back kitchen for the person with the allergy which was fine just took a little longer but safety is always first! And the same goes with the soup and the salad that they would let you know what kind of soup it is and what dressing was on the salad, And this is why there's only four stars.

Always a great time. The staff is super friendly my husband and I went close to closing and they were amazing. We were the last to leave and never hurried or felt like a bother. The food was fantastic perfecto cooked filet and Butter fried rice. We had a couple of tempura rolls and sushi it was excellent. We went back again with the entire family and sat at the hibachi our chef was fun and so sweet with the kids. Another awesome experience! We will continue to dine here !
