Samurai Sushi

Absolutely phenomenal, best sushi in HD. Our server Lilly was beyond awesome too, super helpful with navigating the menu and suggesting items based on individual taste, it felt like she truly was wanting to give our party the best experience, helping us patiently and individually while also being so super speedy fast with service and balancing diligently helping others. MAJOR shout out to her. Onto the food. Delicious. There is no better way to describe it aside maybe a bite of what heaven and high quality fish would be, or ecstasy. The presentation of the food is immaculate as well and the atmosphere brought such a perfect vibe to the meal. Went once, will easily continue being a loyal continual customer. I do think this one does have a teensy bit better quality than the Hesperia location but even still. Nothing shy of sushi perfection!

This place is super awesome with delicious and beautiful food and drinks!! The atmosphere was nice, clean, quiet, and cozy. The service was top notch!!

Holy moly!!! This place is great!! So the fish is fresh, the rolls are perfect size, and wow, the SAUCES!!!! The sauces are delicious!!! New favorite sushi spot. The crab mussels are way better than loaded mussels (which are a favorite for me anywhere they have them). These blow those out of the water, with a little lemon juice, just perfection. The pepper salmon was so soft and perfect pepper on the edges, dip in soy sauce for a salt and pepper taste. The hand roll was fresh and the seaweed was crisp, not soggy and hard to bite. The Superman burrito was a mix of perfect flavors, and the sauce that it comes with is not spicy more sweet. Definitely recommend the tempura Shishito peppers if available (i dont think they are on the menu, so ask, they aren't spicy). Also, get mustard sauce to dip EVERYTHING in. It's sweet and tangy, and it goes well with everything. Chef Martin and omar are great at what they do, and our servers Lilian and carla were doing great trying to keep up with a Saturday night rush. Please try this place at least once if you are a sushi lover.

Great service, great food, and great atmosphere. Also the portion of food you get for the money you spend is so worth it. Will definitely be coming back. ☺️

The food was mid. Not a lot of flavor, especially the soup. The tempura California roll rice was wet.The crispy chicken was over cooked. The portions are large but too much for the kids meal. I loved the edamame. I also enjoyed the complementary appetizer.

Not the best sushi I had. I'm a little critical of the tempura as the batter was dark and heavy, and the vegetables undercooked. Perhaps from too high an oil temperature. Salmon skin somewhat overcooked to a crisp, the roll fell apart from insufficient compression. Unagi roll and sashimi platter serviceable but not very memorable. Knife work a little uneven. Restaurant was full so service a little patchy, despite the effort of the two waitresses. Overall acceptable for the high desert.

Not much of a sushi person, or a seafood person! But I'll tear up a Green Train roll! This has to be the best sushi spot in the high desert hands down! Samurai never disappoints! The girls who host are always so kind, and always checking up on you! Love it here, for the high desert! The complimentary tempura peppers have to be my favorite!

Overall it was an excellent Dining experience the food was delicious and the hostess did a phenomenal job. Side note the complimentary app was probably one of the most elegant and tasty dishes I've ever eaten.

Service fast Great place to have a date night or a place to catch up with your bestie. The fish is great quality. Far far the best place in high desert.

We were passing through Victorville and were blown away by the number of sushi spots in town. Decided to try Samurai Sushi. We were seated quickly, and our waitress was super cool--honestly, the whole staff had great vibes. We ordered a couple of sushi rolls, not realizing how massive they'd be! They were so big I could barely finish one and had to take the other back to the hotel. The taste, though, was just okay. The sushi rice was starting to get hard, which was a bit disappointing. While the service and portion sizes were impressive, the quality of the sushi itself didn't quite hit the mark for me. Probably won't be back next time I'm in town.

Family and I got a to go order and the time estimate was perfect. All of the extras we asked for remembered and packaged nicely. We got the rainbow roll (9 of 10) just a little too much rice but the flavor was great. Volcano roll (10 of 10) and salmon lovers combo (9 of 10) the maki had a bit too much rice to fish ratio but still buttery salmon and tasty. The restaurant is very small so don't bring a large party but the vibe is fun with all the pictures of patrons on the walls.

I tried this sushi restaurant... delicious! It's not an all-you-can-eat buffet, but the rolls were huge. The servers were very friendly! I like the restaurant's atmosphere; the decor and photos were fantastic.

The food was super yum! Very large portions. Everything tasted fresh. It was clean and smelled like your typical sushi spot. The server was patient with us ordering for our first time. It was a bit on the pricey side, but maybe the large size makes up for it? Would I go again yes!

Their food is absolutely amazing as is the service by the staff! Always a pleasure to dine here or do take out! The restaurant is quite charming as well ambiance wise. :)

We ordered a baked white fish roll and a shrimp mania roll which were both pretty bland tasting. Honestly the presentation of the food was nice but most of the rolls are just fancied up California rolls. The rolls are huge and they fell apart when you pick them up. The teriyaki dinner was probably the only thing I enjoyed. The service was ok, waitress wasn't attentive and did not refill our drinks. It's a quiet restaurant but has a lot of people coming in.

So we just moved up here and have been looking for some go to spots and already have been let down. Today we tried this spot. First the location, it's a little whole in the wall place (not a bad thing). Our waitress was very nice and attentive there was another waitress who also would check in with us too. I'm not going to talk about the price become everything is expensive nowadays. Now the food, the rolls were actually big in size and everything we ordered was pleasantly good and full of flavor. They also gave us a complimentary appetizer. For now this will be our go to for sushi .

This is a small Sushi restaurant tucked away near Costco. The service was okay. The Sushi rolls were good, definitely one of the better Sushi Restaurants in Victorville.

The staff were friendly, attentive and helpful with the items and the menu had many options. It was a nice spot and quiet and a good hangout for families. The rolls were big and it was pretty good.

Late night dinner something simple & quaint. Samurai has was my first sushi experience & has been my go to in the high desert ever since. The food , staff, & ambiance are all great.... Check them out !!!!

The sushi chef's prepare the rolls very well and the menu is very creative with many tasty combinations and styles of sushi. I gave 4 stars out of five only because of how highly priced these rolls are. It's just fish rice and vegetables but $18 minimum for a specialty roll is a little high priced for a hole in the wall sushi joint.

Don't let the exterior of this place fool you. Inside is very quaint, The food is fresh and delicious, with generous portions. The entire staff was very attentive and a pleasure to interact with. If I lived near by I would be a regular.

Service was not good the food was ok. There were very few people in the dining area. I felt it was overpriced. With this being said, our granddaughter was pleased with her food so try it and judge for yourself.

First time here. Looking for something new in the area and found a gem! Very unassuming from the outside but man what place. Small, quaint place. Servers are helpful, polite and friendly. The sushi we had was awesome, very large pieces, rolls are huge. Every thing we had wonderful taste with nice presentation. Overall experience is a 10! Definitely be back!

This place has AMAZING food! My sister and I were starving on our way down from Las Vegas to San Diego and stopped here for dinner. The staff is super friendly, the rolls are huge and delicious!

Hands Down, The BEST SUSHI in the High Desert!! The food is amazingly delicious! The economy lately has been really high, and for the price, the food quality is good!! The sushi's are so fresh, clean cut. Rolls are so flavorful, tasty. My kids loved the chicken teriyaki lunch!! You know they say, if kids say it's good, that means it's really good!! Kids are honest, always! You have to try their udon!! Seriously the best I've tried ever!! The noodles are different than others, the soup base is deep. Perfect for cold days. Love all the spices in the soup. We love the interior, so antique, reminds me of being in Asia. It's spacious, always clean, and neat. Love the staff, so friendly and kind. One thing very special about this restaurant is they have pictures of customers on their wall, pictures are memories, you come back years later and find yourself on the wall will bring memories. This explains that the owners truly care about their customers. This place is such a great place for date days+nights, family, friends.

Okay you guys! The best sushi I ever have had! I love this little hole in the wall spot! The food is amazing the atmosphere amazing, I love the little complementary dish the chef always send out before the rolls come. 10/10

Food & service is great, prices are high, but absolutely worth it. It looks like the city is making strides in cleaning up 7th street.

Power tip: Went back there last night for the first time since COVID. The place was pretty full, nice to see for a Friday night. Two waitresses working hard and serving the whole place, so sometimes service could be spotty but over well fine. We got free appetizers, holding the tradition that we remember. Sexy night was very good, definitely better than the Scorpion that we ordered also. We also tried the Korean Bowl, which was neat in that it was essentially a bibimbap with sashimi instead of seasoned beef. Had enough leftovers for another meal. Didn't get a free dessert but frankly didn't have room for it. Nice to see one of the good sushi places up here still doing well and serving quality sushi. P.S. Not sure if I just accidentally edited this old review, or I truly didn't finish the one I typed. This was likely for my experience a year ago. Had a nice lunch just 2 days ago. Still nice there.

The sushi here was heavenly! They had a good menu selection with lots of yummy looking sushi. The waitress was so kind and fast with her service! The plating was also very beautiful! The interior was also very nice and clean, i loved looking at the pictures on the walls. I felt comfortable with the vibe in the restaurant. 10/10 amazing!!!

We went to an early dinner here today. First we walked into a a beautiful dark wood colored room with tons of smiling faces and very cheerful greetings. We were able to sit at the bar so we happily did so and within seconds we got menus. We sat down, perused and once we comfortably settled in we had a lovely server ask us for our drinks, which we got super fast. We ordered and once again super fast service for our food, we were astounded by the quality and sheer flavor of the food. Everything was brilliantly fresh and seasoned perfectly While we were eating we had the servers check on us a couple times, somehow every-time we didn't have a bite of food in our mouths so we were able to tell them how amazing it was. All in all. An incredible experience 10/10

The food is so good, I wish they had all you can eat but for everything it can get it's a good price. Spicy tataki I believe it's called is my favorite. I always have to order that when I go this is my favorite sushi spot to go to !!!

Brought my family here for dinner on a weekday night. They were busy, full table, the waitress and chefs greeted so friendly as we walked in. The food was delicious!! My wife and I enjoyed every dish. We loved how they gave complimentary on the house pepper salad. The taste was so fresh and juicy. We ordered some udon, salmon skin hand rolls. The salmon skin hand roll was good!! You must try!! The salmon skin was so crunchy, well baked. Best sushi we ever had in the high desert!! This place was so clean, my wife has ocd, clean lady, she was surprised how the interior inside was shiny and clean, there was no dust at all!! Other restaurants we go, my wife always complains how the table is dirty and etc. We enjoyed our family dinner outing with Samurai Sushi.

If you want good sushi, just go to Tokyo on 7th Street. Samurai is over priced, has tiny portions, long wait times (even when it's empty), terrible parking and is so noisy, dark and crowded. Most of that I could overlook, but the owners are just absolutely terrible. I truly believe that the heart of a business is its people and these people are just downright nasty. If you're not good to people, don't work in the service industry. If you want a similar experience; buy some sushi, throw half of it away and eat it in your closet with the light off. If you end the experience feeling confused and still hungry, you've eaten at Samurai, congratulations.

Best I have had in the high desert. Definitely will be back to try more. We also enjoyed the hurricane.

This is the best sushi in the high desert and in my opinion California! They have amazing unique rolls that you don't see or taste anywhere else. The workers are fast,caring,and thoughtful in every aspect. You can tell as soon as you walk into the restaurant how much they appreciate you as a customer with photos of the many usuals and the greetings the chefs and staff.

I come to this establishment often. They are extremely clean, very polite and I love the prices with the quality of food that you are getting. The hand rolls have got to be my favorite. They are generous with the amount of fillings, toppings and sides. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend!

Decent sushi spot. Located in an inconspicuous area. The rolls are a good size (well portioned) and had texture. You have a variety of options to choose from. One page in the menu has specials for certain days. The service is friendly enough, but not too attentive (refilling drinks, providing ginger and wasabi) but staff has a lot on their plate: answering calls, fulfilling to go packages, greeting guests, and taking down orders. I will say the sushi chef was quick with creating the rolls. Note: there's no TV for viewing. It's more so of a place you can have conversations with company while sharing plates. The setting has dim lighting. I did appreciate the complimentary appetizer from the chef. Also, the presentation of the rolls was appealing.

Went there and the sushi is almost all $20 a roll and the quality isn't that great. If the food was good then it would be with the price but it's not

White snow roll has got to be one of the best cooked sushi rolls I've ever had. I really appreciate the complimentary desert everyone is always so nice and they ambiance is super cool with their French music playing in the back

Samurai Sushi is a great sushi spot! Looking at the menu it didn't look like there were many choices to pick from. The prices were pretty steep too, however I got the Alaska roll and it was extremely good. The rolls were pretty big in size so it made up for the price in my opinion. The service was also great. The two waitresses that were working consistently came to our table making sure we were okay. Great place!

We started coming here after they first opened, it turned out to be the only sushi restaurant we would eat at. The service is great & the food is always fresh and delicious. After they opened Samurai Sushi 2, we started frequenting there instead because Brandon one of the owners was there. We can always count on great sushi when we eat at either of their locations. The customer service for us has always been great.

Great Customer Service, Great quality of food, Sushi is authentic and a work of art. The restaurant is open pass 9 p.m and is awesome for date night. I will be coming back. Great place to stop by on your way to Vegas. 5 stars, Happy Customer.

My fav sushi spot in the high desert, sooo good!! They usually give a complimentary appetizer and it's by far my one of my top appetizers i've ever had! Also service is is always 10/10

Came in after a gym session day before I'm competing in the Brazilian Jiu Jitsu world master- wanted a healthy meal. First thing I noticed was the atmosphere- they were playing very classy music and I noticed the selection of wines and sakes as well as the photos of all the patrons. The chef served me a complimentary tempura shishito pepper salad with daikon radish and beets dressed in a sesame ginger dot that was quite delicious. Next up I ordered the appetizer tuna crispy rice and the crispy rice was done perfectly as well as the spicy tuna topping- stayed together after a bite and was delicious with layers of flavors and textures. Then arrived my yellowtail belly and octopus sushi- nice generous cuts and fish was good quality- enjoyable without wasabi and soy/ ginger. Lastly I was served my salmon skin cut roll which was amazing- with a side of crispy salmon skin with a tangy and slightly spicy sauce. Service was good , food was good, chill ambiance- highly recommend

There were 2 waitresses, the one assigned to us was very unprofessional, careless, and inconsiderate. when she initially brought out the edamame bowl I told her they were not fully cooked and she actually touched the edamames wt her bare hands. I accidentally spilled the small miso soup and she pretended that she didnt see it so the guy sitting next to me gave me some of his napkins and helped me clean. She brought the edamames for the 2nd time still uncooked....The dishes given to us were alsi dirty.

Don't let the area fool you! It's not the best part of town but the vibe is great as well as the food. The sushi is amazing, especially the Philadelphia roll and the teriyaki salmon is mouthwatering!

If I could give it 0 stars I would! Don't bother going here waste your money somewhere else the place looks disgusting outside and inside and the food is gross! I've had way better sushi teriyaki and experience elsewhere. Walking in there was people smoking and homeless sitting in front. OVERPRICED FOR A TERIYAKI CHICKEN BOWL $18 is insane so pissed don't go here !!!!

Nearly everything is deep fried and thicker than my forearms definitely not what I was expecting. It was all very tasty but not the light/fresh sushi I was looking for.

Great Sushi, service was excellent, chef really out did him self with a custom softshell crab hand roll, and the big sister roll the portion was massive, great presentation, would definitely add to Favorite Spots!!

First time back in a long while. Wanted to schedule out the current operations. All the rolls were so Fresh and delicious. Definitely the best sushi in the High Desert that I have found.
