"Grab a plastic cafeteria tray and some tongs and sample any of the myriad traditional Mexican pastries. The smell of freshly baked Bolillo rolls is in the air, and case after case of treats awaits, from fruit-filled empanadas to palmiers, conchas, and churros. There’s even pan de muerto for El Dia de los Muertos." - Rebecca Treon

This bakery was amazing! They did an amazing job on a baby shower cake and cupcakes. Everyone was very nice. Definitely coming back. They also have the best French bread loafs.

I was a little skeptical about this place after reading many negative reviews about their customer service, however I had the most pleasant experience. Their customer services was good and the cake 🍰 was simply delicious. The only think.. is that I couldn’t find many options for birthday cakes, I think it was my fault I should’ve special order it. I will definitely be back!!

Google
Amazing conchas, sandias, polvorones, and empanadas! Highly recommend the pink conchas! Also very reasonably priced! I look forward to going again! Only downside is the parking lot has a lot of potholes, so be careful.

Google
the pan dulce is ok but there is definitely better out there, i don't shop here lately as they recently raised their prices to where i doesn't meet the quality of their products 👎🏼

Best tres leches cake in town 👍🏻

Google
Very good treats, large variety. The bakery is also very clean. The people saying there’s bad customer service are just racist. Some of the staff doesn’t speak English and the people complaining are Karen’s. The desserts are very good and the workers are kind.

Google
I had high hopes for this place, but the bread is nothing special. Dry, it didn’t taste all that great or new. The place was pretty dirty too. The doors or glass have not been cleaned in a while, along with other parts of the place. The staff was less than attentive and took their time coming to help several of us at the register. I miss my countries bread, I will keep searching.

Yelp
I have no words! This bakery is full of a huge variety of incredible treats! They have all sorts of cookies, pastries, cakes, and bread as well. And I am blown away by how affordable they are (super dangerous)! This is my 2nd time here in 2 days, since I discovered the place. No tables here though-- you walk in, grab a tray and tongs, stack your pastries on the tray and head to the register to check out. That way, you can induce your sugar coma in the privacy of your own home. :-) Side note: I am currently accepting tips on controlling my sugar cravings... before this bakery leads me to the diabeetuss.

Yelp
Let's start off with the fact it's called a Mexican bakery and juice bar, but there is no juice. The pasteries all tasted the same, cookies were old. Nothing in English so there's that too. Also the people working behind the counter are little to no help.

Yelp

Yelp
This is how pastries are made in Mexico! Everything is delicious! For the ones complaining about "the service" I will tell you that is not their job to be nice, the job is making delicious bread to go for all of us and I love it.

Ingrid Y.

Yelp
I travel miles to get to this delicious panadería. Their bread is fresh, soft and worth every bite! So good! Also love that they follow Covid guidelines.

Yelp
Saturday January 26th 2013 VISIT Time : 13:20hrs ish What???? New Mexican Bakery in town... Err, I think its more like Sweet Pastry Goodness calling my name. So since we are in the neighborhood, I decide to stop by at this Mexican Bakery. If I am not mistaken this bakery is located in the Brentwood Plaza Shopping Center. YES, its A BRAND NEW In Town Bakery. The space is kept clean and as when I entered this Bakery, ALL the Sweet Smelling, Goodness, Bakery Goods "swhished" my scensory, making my tummy rumbling and grumbling for more and more.... Err, what to decide, what to choose? DECISIONs? DECISIONs? So many Mexican breads, cakes, cookies, pastries GALORE! Thankfully some of the pastries are labelled so I know what it was and which is which. But still I think I need all the MEXICAN Bakery Pastry catalogue or lingo ambedded in my brain... so I can remember what is what... Anyhoos, from my sweet tooth loot, the total cost of Mexican Bakery Pastry Goodness, cost me $5! SCORE!!! * Apple Empanada * Cherry/Strawberry "Log Things" Sugared Turnovers * Cherry/Strawberry "Danish" * Cream Cheese "Bear Paw" * BIG Sugar Donuts * 4 Pieces of Mexican Shortbread Cookies Each baked goods cost $0.80. The 4 Pieces of Mexican Shortbread Cookies is $1.00. So what's the deal with 3 stars... well since YELP did not offer 3.5 stars as yet... *bummer*... 4 STARS for Value. 4 STARS for Service from the lovely hispanic ladies behind the counter. Coz at least when I ask them what is what, they are willing to converse. Furthermore, I do not speak Spanish. 3 STARs for taste.. coz everything tasted the same. The pastry dough is not as flaky as I want it to be. Is this COMMON for all Mexican Bakery Goods in general? Portion of dough seems to be more than portion of fillings. Did not managed to get the upclose photograph shot of the Cherry/Strawberry "Log Things" Sugared Turnovers coz Hubs devoured it before I could. Nothing stellar as yet, though I wish someone could "steer" me to the right directions to what to expect from a Mexican Bakery. But I still crave for more and DEFINITELY many returns to this San Antonio Fresh Mexican Bakery & Juice Bar in the future when in the neighborhood. Thank you San Antonio Fresh Mexican Bakery & Juice Bar. @34/2013

Yelp
muy mal servicio, hice un pedido de un pastel y cuando lo fui a levantar mi pedido me entregaron algo que no encargué

Chloe G.

Yelp
I love this place! It's a typical Mexican bakery with two walls of baked goods and pastries for your selection! Grab a tray, grab some tongs, and pick whatever strikes your fancy! Everything is fresh and delicious, and you can walk out with a bag full of breads and sweets for less than $10. Definitely check this place out.

Alexander C.

Yelp
This place has been a great experience and place of happiness and joy for, me(a person who loves bread). I had no idea how many options were there for, me to choose from. I can get bread from here daily and I can eat it all in a single day. Great customer service thanks for your help!!

Torres V.

Yelp
The bread is good but if they are going to be strict about one person going in they should tell everyone. A week ago a was there and a few couples went in grabbing only one tray and nothing was said to them the one time I go in with someone because I needed help they say one of us needed to leave.

Susana S.

Yelp
The bread is fine. The customer service does not work, they are not friendly. The breads are smaller than normal and a bit expensive .. without a doubt, Rosales bakery is much better .................... el pan está dos tres, pero muy pequeñas las piesas y algo carito y el servicio al cliente no sirve de mucho. Sin duda alguna, panadería rosales es mejor..

Maria C.

Yelp
The Rosca de Reyes was delicious. I bought the one with sweet cheese filling and it was fresh, and very moist. Impressive!

Jeff T.

Yelp
My gold standard for Panaderias is Rosales and I tend to gauge other Panaderias comparatively. San Antonio was a pleasant surprise. It is a typical Panaderia where you grab a tray, some tongs, and load up! The various pastries are in several bakery shelves (sorta like the King Soopers donut display). The empanadas we tried were delicious, particularly the guava. Loved the little "butter" cookies....you can easily put down 4...or eight of those without much thought. In my picture you'll see a lemon topped pastry with coconut; didn't get the name but that was really good; it was a light cake, with that gooey lemon filling - not overly sweet. I didn't have a need for them but they looked to have fresh Bolillo Bread which at certain times of the day you can get them still warm. Overall, San Antonio was A-ok, The selection you see in my picture was about $8.50. Value wise, it maybe a little on the higher side but the quality didn't disappoint.

Yelp
One of the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I walked in with my family to get bread & coffee at 9am on a weekday, there was 2 employees who clearly saw us yet no one greeted us. Upon picking our bread I went up to the counter to again be ignored by the employees, I literally had to tell them I was ready to pay & would appreciate it if someone rung me up. One of the employees went to the back to get another employee to ring me up, although he wasn't doing anything himself. We then asked for coffee & with no apology or hesitation they told us they ran out. It was 9am, how do you run out of coffee at a bakery. It was almost as the employees didn't want to work & seriously thought we were a huge bother. We left & well the bread wasn't even that good, trust me I've had BETTER. Never going here again.

Denise S.

Yelp
Let me tell about how rude this employee was to my husband, she clearly had no social skills whatsoever, threw a attitude because he asked her for a tray to put our breads on. ALSO slammed the trays on the counter. I want to say this was a teenage girl cause the way she was treating him. I have to say I'm very embarrassed for the company don't want to return back again. Btw it was the girl with glasses that acted young and rude so if you ever go there be aware.

Katy S.

Yelp
Buyer Beware !! My daughter bought a cake there last weekend for a birthday party. She added some words and decorated the top and then realized the strawberries on top were moldy. She replaced them but when they went to eat the cake it was stale, dry and inedible. It went directly into the trash. Better check over what you are purchasing before you pay.

Yelp
While on the hunt for the perfect bread to make Pambazos (amazing torta-like sandwiches dipped in guajillo pepper sauce filled with potatoes/chorizo mixture, Mexican string cheese, crema, and shredded lettuce then fried like a grilled cheese sandwich), we stumbled upon the best new bakery in Denver! After trying all the other Mexican bakeries and markets over the years and not being fully satisfied, we're always willing to try a new one. When we saw a steady stream of customers heading into San Antonio Fresh Bakery in a neighborhood with much competition, we had to check it out. To our surprise, not only did San Antonio Fresh Mexican Bakery have this specific bread, which is a special white bread that lacks crispy crust to hold the guajillo pepper sauce and not get too soggy, but they had an AMAZING array of freshly made breads, pastries, and other treats that blew away all the other bakeries in the Denver Metro area. The owner and his wife also shared their Pambazo sandwich tips and recipes (and other favorites) with us as well. The bakery is immaculate and it's easy to see the owners take tremendous pride in making sure their customers get the freshest possible product. Our bread was pulled straight from the hot racks and the fresh baked smell of the pastries filled our car on the drive home (several didn't make it all the way home). Amazing panaderia, bakery - quality, selection, price, friendly family owners, taste, and freshness make this our new GO TO Mexican bakery! Please check them out and be amazed like us. Cheers, Coolsville Colorado Blogger (as we quest for the best in Colorado)

Yelp
Love this place! This is my third time here and its been delicious so far. Its hard to reel it in and not buy 10 different things. Today was no exception. Everything is always fresh and different. Today I tried some kind of cheese cake or baked custard. It was eggy and creamy and dense and oh so good. Ive had the raspberry coconut roll 3 times now and it's like a dream wrapped in a cloud in my mouth. I like that nothing is overly sweet and the textures are always just right. Did I mention the price? I only spent $3.40 for four large items. Do yourself a favor and stop by this place, drop $5 on some goodies and grab a jug of milk on the way home. You be happy you did.

Shana M.

Yelp
One of the few things I miss about San Antonio. However, I try my best to stay away from this bakery because it is way too awesome and way to inexpensive (pastries as low as 4/$1). One of the few places where you can still buy baked goods at these prices and they are authentic baked goods. I love all of it which wasn't much of an issue when I was a teen but is definitely a major issue now. The staff is friendly and allows me to practice my broken Spanish without making me feel like an idiot or, more importantly, like a disgrace (can you tell I have issues?). Te amo, Hojarascas!!!

Kay Y.

Yelp
Best bread ever!!!!!! Especially when it's still warm and soft. Do not go to any other bakery! This is the spot

Yesenia M.

Yelp
the food is fresh, delicious and it always smells good when i walk in :) the workers are nice

Monica M.

Yelp
At this bakery nobody knows what customer service is I will not go back I ask them to please write something on a plain top cake and they said they can't write anything on it bad bad customer service

Chase W.

Yelp
Great mexican bakery. Everything you can expect to see from a mexican bakery. Big variety. Everything is delicious and everyone has been friendly. The empanadas are my favorite. Super cheap so you can get a good sample of everything without breaking the bank.

Rich S.

Yelp
I rarely give out FIVE STARS but this place is worthy of it. I frequent this place often. They have the best Mexican pastries in Town. I have tried all kinds in the Denver metro area. They have the traditional Mexican pastries and also have American type, like doughnuts and Banana Bread. You will not be disappointed making a stop here.

Baxter D.

Yelp
I love a good mexican bakery, especially a good empanada. And the empanadas here are excellent. Doesn't get 5 stars because I didn't see churros and I love churros.
