The Best Mall Restaurants in the San Francisco-Bay Area | Eater SF

"Break up the shopping grind with a meal that’s both good-tasting and fun. This chain with outposts from Sacramento to San Jose is known for its high-tech approach to serving sushi; small plates arrive via conveyor belt after being ordered via a touch screen at the table. For every five plates your table orders, an animated video plays; for every 15 plates, you get a prize. The location near the San Francisco Premium Outlets, which are actually located in Livermore, is technically in Pleasanton but it’s just kitty-corner to the massive outlet mall in the same plaza as 99 Ranch Market." - Lauren Saria

Google
It's a good place to shop for clothes, shoes, wallets, and other accessories. But it's not a place for guys and children looking for electronics, game shops, anime goods, or similar items. Anyway, I liked this place's warm summer day shopping vibe. There's a food court that provides different kinds of food that will keep you fueled for a long shopping spree. I recommend this place.

Google
These are my go to outlets within an hour plus drive of my house. They have some high-end stores with outlet pricing. It does get very busy here and I have a feeling there is tourist bus passing through because in the parking lot they have a designated area for those buses. Not sure if they are people traveling cross country or visiting the US.

Google
Great shopping experience! Huge selection of top brands with amazing discounts. The outlet is clean, well organized and easy to get around. Perfect for finding deals on clothes, shoes and accessories. Brazilians will love it too as there are many favorite brands with much better prices than back home. Totally worth the visit!

I luv a bargain and I do not find particular joy in clothes shopping. So I try to maximize my time, energy, and dollars when I do. With that in mind, I planned a shopping excursion out to the San Francisco (SF) Premium Outlets. I purposely did not go on a weekend. I did that to avoid the crowds and lack of sufficient parking. Overall my first ever experience at the SF outlets was a success ... I survived! I was able to purchase clothes, in my hard to find size, at bargain prices. These outlets include a good mix of brands (designer , luxury, and mid-range). The luxury brands include Versace, Salvatore Ferragamo, Burberry, Prada, Tory Birch, Zegna... just to name a few. There was a food court and food stalls scattered about the outlet. The outlet is beautifully designed and landscaped with art sculptures and plants; adding to a more pleasant shopping environment. But my gripes are the parking lot and the lack of janitorial staff. The parking lot has only one exit/entrance. The flow of traffic gets logged jammed and it becomes the Wild West of line merging. Regarding the janitorial needs, I spent practically the entire day at the outlet and do not recall seeing any janitorial staff. The women's restroom closest to the food court was atrociously dirty and got more so during the day. Trash bins were overflowing and there was a strong sewage smell. The other restrooms were not as worse, but not clean either and less likely f a strong odor. Plus the food court dining area was a hot mess as well. Tables needed to be cleared and cleaned.

Update: I had a great experience in San Francisco Premium Outlets! All the stores were well maintained, stocked, and clean, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. The decorations as I walked through many different brands felt like a mall but outside, and it had many sitting benches and resting places plus restrooms which were convenient. Overall, it’s a great place to visit if you are looking for apparel and shoe stores near you in Livermore/Pleasanton area. (Comment originally posted a year ago from: “Pretty good.”)

Google
Great place to shop. If you're an Outlet Mall fan and anywhere near, do visit this place. Almost all known Brands have their Outlets here.

Yelp
My wife shopped while my daughter and I attended our Dante Robere members winery event. Win/win! Quality/Quantity - Our/my favorite upscale outlet mall. Not sure why this place has such a low rating...? Because of the poor parking? The overcrowding? I am a creature of habit and pretty much just go to my few selected businesses. If you are following, you already know what they are. Or is it because of the limited food and drink options? See pictures. But there are SO many great eating establishments nearby, in Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin. Atmosphere - 188 stores, many of them are upscale. Open 7 days a week from 10am to 7pm or 8pm. Plenty of mall parking on weekdays. Weekends can be a challenge but my wife knows all the "secret" parking areas. I just discovered a few myself, lol. Outdoor mall with some overhead coverings to protect from rain and sun. Service - Military discounts, see picture. Overall good, but then it also depends on where you shop. Price - Depends on what you buy. We probably buy and spend too much... Owner Comment - Congrats to the current owners of the Simon Property Group and this location's success and all your expansions at this location. 1960's Simon property group founded, REIT. Worldwide company with 232+ properties. 1993 Went public, IPO. 2004 Entered the outlet mall business with the acquisition of Chelsea Property Group.

Yelp
Food court is an absolute joke...could use more...food. But thankfully it seems that is being improved. Parking is quite ample. and there are a decent selection of stores here. I will say this, though, the perfume stores appear to be well worth skipping. Too many complaints about counterfeit or sky high mark ups. A part from that, it is a decently sized operation with a wide variety of of stores. I really enjoy coming here. I just dont understand why it's called the San Francisco outlets .. a question for the philosophers perhaps...
google avatar

Bruce W.

Yelp
While the name is misleading (on purpose) There are decent deals to be had. Parking can be a bit rough on weekends so sometimes I just park across the street since it's usually where I go for food anyways. The food court here isn't that great so instead just save your appetite for the better restaurants in the area. There is a wide variety of brands throughout the outdoor mall, and there seems to be a ton of people, even on weekdays. Most the shops have helpful staff to help you find what you are looking for, which is needed as many of these aren't arranged in any particular order, or anything like the original stores might have.

Yelp
I love living so close to the outlets and seeing the numerous name changes, *Livermore Premium Outlets * Paragon Outlets *San Francisco Premium Outlets I usually only visit Bath n Body Works and do a lot of window shopping. The outlets have a variety of upscale brands for men, women, and children, plus a nice food court. When I went to pick up my online order, I noticed Starbucks was closed and on their website the coffee establishment is under renovations. The Bath n Body Works at this location has everything I need and is well stocked. My go to when I can't get to Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton.

Yelp
Lots of offerings. Getting in and out is tough on a weekday. On the weekends is absolutely crazy. Amazing selection of stores. It's outlets on steroids. I'm not an outlet fan but there's nearly always something here for me. The prices beat retail. Absolutely worthy of a stop.
google avatar

Carrie G.

Yelp
Tons of stores here, big parking lot too. Some food options, we didnt even go to the food area but there were some food huts that we walked by in between stores. The Disney store outlet is more of a regular Disney store(almost non existent now) because they only had about half the stuff marked as a sale price. The pins, loungefly back packs, spirit jerseys, toys, all were REGULAR price! What outlet store has full price items? I was expecting much more.
google avatar

La Selle H.

Yelp
A great place to go get some name brand things with great value. Majority of the stores give out great deals during holidays and special occasions. Just bring your patience because traffic, parking and lines are long. I love how there are staff helping direct traffic.
google avatar

Yelp
This outlet never disappoints. A large selection of great stores in the customer service is always fantastic. You can definitely find something for everyone!

Yelp
I only started shopping here at some point after the pandemic and I like it a lot. It's arguably the best outlet mall in the Bay Area. I've also never had issues with parking or getting in or out of this place except on Black Friday. I'm sure it's hell to find parking if you're in that monstrosity that is the front parking lot but I have more than two brain cells to rub together and park in the back parking lot. There's also a lot of stores here so whenever I come here, I pretty much plan to spend nearly my entire day at the mall. The only thing I don't like is the food court. The selection sucks and the food isn't great. Popeyes might be the only thing here that you can eat for a decent price and that's only if you order off the mobile app.

Justice S.

Yelp
If youre a nursing mom do not come here. Doors do not lock to the nursing room, I have complained multiple times as an outlet employee about it to be fixed, It has not been fixed for months despite them saying it is fixed. I've been walked in on 4 times in 3 days alone! Very disappointed by mall management

Yelp
This is currently my favorite outlet to visit. Parking can get tough on the weekends, but you can usually find something farther out - just make sure you remember where you park! The shops inside offer a good variety of items - whether it's high end name brands or a more casual style you're looking for. Some of the shops do require you to line up outside for various reasons - whether it's safety protocols or because there's just too many people inside. In either case - the lines usually move pretty quickly - unless there's a really good promotion going on. There are various small carts all over the outlet with cute knick-knacks and others that sell snacks/treats. If you're tired, there's also a bunch of benches around that you can sit and hang out for a bit. When I want to come out, I plan to be here for at least half a day since there's quite a few stores I'd like to check out. My friends and I make a fun trip of it and enjoy getting some new stuff, whether it's candles, a new purse, clothes or random trinkets.

Yelp
Love going to this mall but hate finding parking. It's always packed on the weekends. They have pretty good selection of stores. Even have a food count, some food stand and food trucks too. The restrooms are also clean.
google avatar

Rosmond P.

Yelp
This is a very good shopping place. There's plenty of parking. And you can access everything as you walk around to find what you want. The restrooms are the cleanest I have seen at any outlet.
google avatar

Yulia M.

Yelp
Small selection of shops, brands. Outside partly covered from sun or rain. Food choice is poor. Designer brands are scattered throughout the mall. Only few. I would not come back to shop in this mall. The best mall is in Florida Miami, recommend, even for the mall owners. Visit and see yourself.

Yelp
I was insulted by their counter stuff on December 24, 2024, at around 3 to 3:14p.m. They were preventing me from browsing the store with their body in a subtle way, and they insulted me in Cantonese. I reported it to the customer services on 01/09/2025. Today is Feburary 23, 2025, it's been 45 days, it seems that their customer service is engaging in Negligence, especially the customer service representitive (888. 623. 2880) was being emotional during his work, he deceived me that he will report this situation to their internal team, but before he hung up, he said he couldn't made it with no reason. All the members engaged in Time Theft- even violating the terms of the labor contract. (We talked on the phone on Feburary 19, 2025, at 1:59p.m). Get a job with L'occitane, you could get paid by just pretending to work all the time, and also venting emotions by insulting customers.
google avatar

Sarah D.

Yelp
Stores are decent, bathrooms are HORRENDOUS. They smell worse than the bathroom at a park. It smells like pee is imbedded into the walls. Premium outlets with subpar bathrooms.
google avatar

Sherman T.

Yelp
Time is money, and when you're spending most of your time getting here and sitting in your car, your money is better spent elsewhere. Parking is atrocious. There aren't enough spots and the path to leave the mall is such a bottleneck. In addition, there isn't enough shade to block the beating sun and little to no signage to indicate where parking spots could be found (or if they're full). They can't get any buyers if the buyers can't even step foot into the shops! I've always been a big proponent for online shopping and experiencing the chaos here definitely galvanized that sentiment. Among the shops, you'll find a lot of high end apparel and accessory brands like Coach, Lacoste, Nike, and UnderArmor. You do get outlet pricing which could be 30-50% off list prices but deals aren't anything to rave too much about in my opinion; online shopping is just as competitive especially during the holidays. If you do decide on making a visit, I'd recommend parking across the street and walking over from the other lots. The main lot is bad and unless you're sitting in a lane to wait for people to leave or come early, you'll spend less parking a little further and walking over. They do have a decent food court but again, I'd rather venture across the street to the mall full of Asian food. Overall, unless there's a very specific store you're trying to go to and can get here early or are open to walking a bit further, there aren't too many compelling reasons for you to visit here. The crowds can be a bit uneasy and the lines to enter certain stores are ridiculous. And if the weather is bad, well you better suit up because it's an outdoor outlet with little to no cover from shop to shop!
google avatar

Tony J.

Yelp
One of the most popular outlets in the Bay Area. At any time of year, there will be good deals at some of the stores, but not all. There are two huge parking lots at the front and the back, but even that is barely enough for the traffic on a normal weekend, let alone Black Friday. Food court and bathrooms are in the middle. Bathrooms were clean but were out of paper towels when I went.
google avatar

Janet T.

Yelp
I have shopped at this outlet many many times. Sometimes, I would go to get my steps in and just walk around. To avoid parking nightmare, I usually go right when the outlet is open and leave by the time the crowd comes in for lunch or go an hour before closing. This is only if you live in the Tri Valley area. I like going on a Friday, I find Fridays not to be too crowded. I avoid holidays though. Overall, is a great option for your shopping needs.
google avatar

Tommy C.

Yelp
SF is 30miles away...Why is this called SAN FRANCISCO outlets? Standard outlet mall shopping experience. Got a mix of high end to budget stores. Food court is stuffy. EV charging available.
google avatar

Alice H.

Yelp
It's a nice open shopping mall with more than a hundred brands, both high end and normal consumer brands. At a DISCOUNTED price. If you're a fan of high end brands, then you can find a lot of their products with more affordable prices. For mid end brands, they're even cheaper. I love to come here sometimes for shopping spree when I'm on a tight budget.
google avatar

Salvador Z.

Yelp
The San Francisco Premium Outlet stores is like the San Francisco 49ers not actually located in the City of San Francisco. Not even close. When the outlets opened up years ago it was called the Livermore Outlets location in the city of Livermore. Can we change the name back please? If coming to visit and shop at the outlets be prepared that this will be a 1/2 day event due to traffic flow in and around the outlets. Parking can be challenging so be patient. The lots are always full on weekends. I was lucky today and found a great spot as someone was leaving. I've always loved shopping at outlets rather than a mall. The fact that you can enjoy the weather on a beautiful day and shop till you drop is an experience! There's also a food court onsite or a plethora of neighboring restaurants all around the outlet store.
google avatar

Michael W.

Yelp
If you are mentally unstable do not come here on Black Friday and are driving here. I must say this mall is a cesspit of failure. They blocked off multiple entrances and make it very impossible to park. I wanted to go to the bloomingdales outlet store on Black Friday to see they have any good deals but it never happened because I nearly had another mental health crisis just looking for parking. Not worth the visit for anyone with health issues because it will just make it worse. If you are hungry, it's much more worse because you are paying for prices that you see at Fishersman's Wharf in San Francisco. Food is very shoddy. Note: If you want to survive this place on Black Friday you must do two things 1. Take the bus, as I looked for parking there was so many people riding the bus, I think enough to fill the entire vehicle. It's better than spending 2-3 hours looking for parking. 2. Bring a small stool if you cannot stand for over 10 minutes.
google avatar

Marie S.

Yelp
I like the shopping experience here, but exiting the parking lot is a nightmare. The way parking lanes and exits are blocked off creates artificial traffic as you leave. If you need to be somewhere afterwards, expect that leaving the parking lot will take 15+ minutes. I wonder if the Fire Department has approved their parking plan, as I would not want to be stuck in that parking lot during an emergency.
google avatar

Jahmal P.

Yelp
This is basically the best outlet you're gonna find in the bay. It has a lot of stores. You expect when you come to the outlet a lot of parking, but I wouldn't want to be you here closer and trying to get out. Trust me from experience.

Jack O.

Yelp
A marvelous collection of stores, but it BADLY NEEDS SELF-EVIDENT WAYS TO FIND YOUR WAY TO THE STORES YOU WANT. On-the-ground "locators" are far from intuitive for locating, and often too dim to see in daylight. Downloading the Simon App helps only a little bit. THEY NEED TO INCLUDE YOUR LOCATION IN THE MAP!!!! It doesn't help that the map cannot be expanded past half-screen, leaving far more than enough room for the search dialog. Nor does it help that the store names are often on the wrong buildings: E.g., Skechers store is on the opposite side of the mall from where its name appears on the outside tower :-( Also, seconding Lillian W's comments on Parking.
google avatar

Noelle A.

Yelp
Use the restroom BEFORE YOU GET HERE. Most disgusting restrooms I've ever encountered! Stuff all over the toilets and the smell is awful. They definitely don't have anyone cleaning them throughout the day. Multiple women plugging their nose while in the restroom. Get someone to clean them more often if at all! Seems like they haven't been cleaned in weeks!!!! Let alone it took me 30 minutes to find one with a changing table for my son!!
google avatar

Judy S.

Yelp
This outlet mall is accessible by public transportation! It's a short bus ride away from the Dublin bart stop. No need to worry about parking, you can come here without a car. About an hour and a half from SF proper by bart and bus so the name is quite misleading. There are some actual good deals at several stores, but probably depends on the season. Create the VIP account for extra savings.
google avatar

Jack R.

Yelp
So really this place needs more stores and needs to make up its mind if it's going to be luxury or not. There aren't really enough luxury shops to justify coming here for luxury items unless you want Kate Spade, heels, or dresses. For us guys who are looking for shoes and belts we have the cheaper Armani Exchange, Prada, and Burberry which are all limiting. There are some odd toy stores, sunglasses, and cooking stuff and I feel like this is just a weird duplicate of the Great Mall of Milpitas. Also, they need more selection and more organized parking. Also, bringing in restaurants might help as well.
google avatar

Anne W.

Yelp
May not ever go back. It took 45 minutes to get out of the parking lot. Ridiculous! Missed our dinner reservations. Can't they figure out how to efficiently get the cars out, considering all the revenue being generated?!?!?!!!
google avatar

Ramona H.

Yelp
Large selection of stores, fast food, seating, and things to look at. Parking is a struggle. Shoppers are rude which is a big set back. Worth a go but take your patience
google avatar

Emily O.

Yelp
Lots of great stores to shop at. Everything was clean and well stocked. I had no idea there were so many amazing stores there. Looking forward to going back soon.
google avatar

Kay D.

Yelp
Excellent outlet, I prefer this outlet over LA Citadel outlet. The store brands are better and people are nicer. Less messy as well. The store staffs are better do quick and efficient at cleaning things up and straightening items. TIP: park in front of restaurant, don't park at outlet parking. You'll never find your car or a spot to park fyi. Go in early mornings or an hour before closing. Less crowds that way. I hate crowds so I usually shop at the most odd hours to avoid people and Covid. Each store has their own sales. I went right before thanksgiving holiday, there were A LOT of sales. I went to crocs and scored 2 new pairs of platform crocs, and cheap giblet deals for like $185. For 2 pairs of the newest crocs these are big deals. lol. All birds and Rothys stores are at the outlets as well. Bought a few pairs of all birds with discounts. And rothys.
google avatar

Joshua T.

Yelp
Some of my favourite shops can be found here at the outlets in Livermore. The atmosphere is chill even on a hot day and there are good deals everywhere from good shoes to high fashion. I scored me a dope new watch from the fossil there there. And got me some sick jeans from Joe's jeans right next door. This watch is Swiss made and automatic and looks and feels like a rolly and I got it for such a great deal. Anytime I'm coming through to the Bay. I usually stop by here to check out any of the deals and usually leave with some new kicks or a hat or watch or some fly sunnies.
google avatar

Tom D.

Yelp
Made a road trip to Livermore to see a show and my DW made sure we stopped at the outlets. For those that don't know these outlets contain virtually every store you can think of including many high end clothing stores. Went on a Friday and arrived at Noon. There were a lot of cars but parking wasn't a problem. Could be very different on the weekend. Besides the many stores there is a food court along with some kiosk type food along the walkways. Also plenty of restrooms and vending machines to grab a snack or drink. Finally, for us guys that do a little shopping but a lot of sitting there are plenty of chairs and benches, many of which are in shaded areas. Overall a good place if you like outlet shopping. Big bonus of the day was my credit card took a hit but wasn't wiped out :).
google avatar

Betty C.

Yelp
I love this outlet. There are so many stores and something for everyone! There are new stores opening up all the time too. The food court recently expanded as well for more eats. The only thing extremely tricky is parking on weekends as it gets busy. My only tip is to arrive early if you don't want to be looking for parking!
google avatar

Heather H.

Yelp
Always too busy and too high in price. Now they are even charging if you want to park close to the entrance.
google avatar

Nadia D.

Yelp
Best outlet mall prices were very reasonable and lots of options to choose from. The lululemon store and Prada are the gem of the mall. I am so glad I found this place. Thank you
google avatar

Peace L.

Yelp
Too hot for outdoor outlet shopping lol but thank god there were Dippin' Dots stations to cool off and savor.
google avatar

Phil S.

Yelp
Parking is a nightmare. There isn't enough to accommodate their foot traffic. They definitely need some multilevel parking structures cause as it is you have people fighting for spots and circling the lot endlessly. And why call it "San Francisco" premium outlets when it's in Livermore? That's dumb and confusing. Should be called "Livermore premium outlets" doesn't make any sense putting SF in the name when it's not in SF. This place is a disaster. Whoever planned this place out lied on their resume. I mean, if you need to kill a few hours this might be the place for you since it'll take that long just to find a parking spot...
google avatar

David L.

Yelp
We came here on the way back home from an outing in Half Moon Bay. It was a weekend so it was fairly packed. I was lucky and got a parking spot up front as someone was leaving. This outlet has a lot of high end stores which I like. That is where we usually shop and here it's at a discount. They have great brands like Burberry, All Saints, Armani, Jimmy Choo and more. I like the variety here. Lots for almost any lifestyle. Plus you get some exercise walking around. I was surprised to see the cops stopping some guys. i guess you can never get away from the shady side of crime. Especially since there is so many people and stuff . Least there were no homeless popping up
google avatar

Yelp
Review for Victoria Secrets: Went in this store wanting to buy a bra for my daughter to try on and purchase. While there found some pjs too. Approached the extremely crowded register and proceeded to check out. I was mistaken about a bar code while trying to use a discount and the guy was very passive aggressive about saying which bar code it was so I told him I head you 3 times. He then even more aggressive when I pointed out his attitude and he said what comes around goes around type comment and I stated I didn't want to move forward with his attitude and purchase the items. Then said person was like well I ripped up your coupon . So finally after 3 different people trying to fix his mistake he was gone out of site. I made the purchase. Another male ass- ociate in a condescending voice would not give me the salesman's name. The original guy was super flamboyant with a caterpillar mustache... definitely a bottom. They acted as if his behavior and attitude was acceptable. Mr man definitely needs extra training on what's acceptable way to speak to customers. I'll skip that store as long as he works there.

Carolen M.

Yelp
It's been a long time since I've stopped by these Outlets. I just was so turned off when we went here as the parking was just atrocious. I think the allure of the shops have died down since the initial opening. This last time, I just specifically went for one store. I did consider walking around but it was a bit large and I just didn't have any patience and I was kind of hungry and wanting to go home. But I was amazed at how many more stores were open now. I saw that they had a Tea Heart here. Perhaps I'll have to come again when I have more time. I'll have to re-review it when that happens. But for now, it was ok since I last visited.
google avatar

Bharti K.

Yelp
Who doesn't want to shop at a discount?! If you love to shop and love discounts then this place is for you. This is my favorite spot to shop for summer dresses and winter jackets. This outlet mall has so many stores that you might want to come back to check out more. Express outlet is my absolute favorite here and they have a lot of good options for everyone. I recently got a few dresses for very reasonable prices and all of them are of very high quality. Parking sometimes could get tricky as this is a very famous mall. And there are a lot of people roaming around the mall so lines could get big at stores. It's an open mall so not a good option for cold days & nights. Not sure if they have a food court but there is a Starbucks on the premises that gives you the much needed caffeine boost before/after shopping. Try this outlet mall next time for your shopping and you won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Laquita B.

Yelp
I enjoyed the outlet. I was happy because Black Friday deals already started and the lines were not insane.
google avatar

Precious J.

Yelp
There are a lot of options. Best to go during the weekday mornings. They have stores they are expensive as well as less expensive: I'm to see them acquire the lululemon outlet so we don't have to go to gilroy anymore. There is also Gucci Versace uggs sunglass but jewelers and more. They also offer valet which we always take advantage of on the weekends

Yelp
These outlets are a bit far for me so I was excited to make the road trip and check out the deals. The parking is sooooo crowded, I thought it was Black Friday in March! The outlets themselves are also very crowded and every other store had a line to get in! I felt like we were in COVID times when lines were created to allow for social distancing. Deals were non existent as these "outlets" are on the high end and overpriced. I probably won't go back until i forget about how uneventful my experience there was.

Yelp
This review is for the Security personnel who assisted in locating a missing child on 3/16/2025. They showed genuine concern and made sure they extended all the assistance. It was a miracle the child was found in one of the stores!! Kudos to these guys!! They deserve a RAISE!!!! Wishing we got their individual names though. The family can't thank you guys enough.
