San Gennaro Feast

I had the incredible opportunity to experience the San Gennaro Festival in Little Italy, and it was nothing short of amazing! This vibrant celebration truly captures the spirit and culture of the Italian community in New York City. From the moment I arrived, the festive atmosphere was palpable. The streets were lined with colorful booths offering delicious food, handmade crafts, and various carnival games. The aroma of freshly cooked sausages, fried dough, and Italian pastries wafted through the air, tempting my taste buds at every turn. I couldn't resist trying a classic cannoli, and it was one of the best I’ve ever had! The festival features an array of entertainment, including live music, cultural performances, and even a lively procession in honor of San Gennaro. The San Gennaro Festival is a wonderful way to immerse yourself in Italian culture, enjoy fantastic food, and soak up the lively atmosphere of Little Italy. I left feeling full and happy, already looking forward to next year’s festivities. If you have the chance to attend, I highly recommend it—it's an unforgettable experience!

What a great time! Asked my wife if she wanted Italian for lunch and we ended up in little Italy 🇮🇹 New York! We slid in from CT and we were not disappointed! Great food, great atmosphere! I highly recommend the steak and mozzarella sandwich 🥪 on garlic break! And grandma’s meatballs were phenomenal! Enjoy!!

I always love to participate in this festival. The weather was cooperating for the festival. The food, entertainment, and all of the melting pot of different New Yorkers make this festival one of my favorites to attend yearly.

The biggest festival is the Feast of San Gennaro held every September in New York City, which attracts about one million people

This hugely popular event is one I hadn’t been to in a while; but glad I spent some time this year there. Always a very busy place, but managed to have some great food and experience love music across the event. The highlight was the gnocchi we had with burrata. If you don’t mind the crowds, or if you love them, this Italian festival is not to be missed.

Arrive just before 5pm to beat the weeknight crowd and be sure to swing by a Ferrara stall (or the brick and mortar) for one of the best cannoli you can get and add on a chocolate covered strawberry for good measure
