Nine Boutique Hotels to Know in Buenos Aires

"For decades the leafy residential suburb of Buenos Aires known as San Isidro has been synonymous with porteño wealth and exclusivity — it’s the kind of place where handsome polo players hang out at sidewalk cafes and socialites walk their dogs by the river, and San Isidro Plaza Hotel perfectly reflects the quiet refinement of the neighborhood, complete with a private club atmosphere." - MICHELIN Guide

Exactly what it looks like in the pictures and videos. Intimate hotel with only 20 some rooms. So it's super quiet, really clean, and great service. Front desk was amazingly accommodating. Shower water pressure is great, AC works well, beds are comfy. The Holy Trinity of a hotel for me Definitely one of the nicer stays I've had, especially in South America

When I think of a 4 star hotel, I don’t usually associate bugs on my bed and terrible food to be connected to that. For paying as much as they charge, the only aspect that I can say is worth it is the location the hotel is in. I would strongly recommend booking at another location.

Nice, clean and comfortable modern hotel with good sized rooms. The bed was very comfortable. The bathroom well set out. The staff were service focused and were adaptable and flexible in making things work. The balconies are not divided so it can be a bit strange when someone comes out of the room next door.

All the employees that works at the hotel are totally kind and help whatever you need. Always give and extra on their attention, and the hotel are flexible for helping you. Everything is impeccable on the rooms. Good breakfast with fresh meals. Love the orange peeled and cut in sections. Well located pool for sunbathing.

Incredibly friendly and helpful staff. Rooms spacious, but those on the 3rd floor get quite hot in summer. Air conditioner works but mine was rather noisy. |Breakfast is simple, lunch exquisite but comes at a price.|Swimming pool looks great though I didn't (want to) use it.|Only downside was the dusty floors in my room.

Stayed here 3 night for business. Nice big room with an very good shower in the bathroom. Good size bed. Everything very clean. No notice at night. I like to sleep with the windows open so that was great. Simple but OK breakfast. Friendly staff. Lot's of shops and restaurants on walking distance. About one hour by taxi to downtown Buenos Aires.

Accommodating staff. We had the ground floor room which I highly recommend. Leads out onto your own terrace around the pool area. No views, but comfortable and very peaceful. Average breakfast, continental with option of hot eggs. If you stay here you must go to the seven eleven restaurant on the corner, lovely owner and such a nice pretty terrace, even if just to sit and have a drink. Opposite the cathedral is a lovely ice cream bar...about 1 minute walk. Train is just a 5 minute walk. Also visit the Queens Village, a lovely German inspired courtyard.

San Isidro is a lovely area of the greater BA area - get the impression its a wealthy area - with some activity in the area. I stayed just one night here, in a stunning room on the top floor - very quiet, other than some wind noise during a bit of a storm at night. Only negative is the shower - which partially drains, under the glass door, onto the main bathroom floor area 'a la wet room' style - which is fine if you want wet shoes / trousers when using the wc!! But wastes towels to mop it up otherwise! Lovely area to stay, lovely staff - those I dealt with were almost fluent in English, certainly compared to my Spanish abilities...
