The best of the best gelato in Coral Gables. The blend of flavors and texture make it perfect. Highly recommended. Don't miss it on your trip to this beautiful city. Demian's service at the counter was very professional and friendly.

The Gelato at San Lorenzo is absolutely delicious! You can really taste the quality in every flavor. The texture is smooth, and the taste is rich and satisfying. One of the best gelateria I’ve visited — highly recommended for anyone who loves great Gelato.

Waooo!! No only how many flavors, also how delicious they are! They have too many ice creams that is hard to choose one. This place is a must for desserts. There is also a small shop outside in front of the restaurant Mika. They have a small selection of ice cream. Passion fruit and coconut are good. Not too sweet and perfect to enjoy something refreshing. Addition to my review: After trying the small ice cream shop that is in the center of the building, I also tried the big one that is located on the side of the same building. Creamy, good flavors and good energy! Tables and chairs where you can enjoy your ice cream!

Amazing gelato. We have been coming to this place since it opened a few months ago and it has never disappointed! Only downside is when it’s too busy :) they have a multitude of flavors and some great vegan options too (I did a month vegan so that’s when I tried it). Yesterday I finally took a picture, it usually goes down so fast I always forget.

Great place to explore some new flavors. We did not try the pastry but I bet they are good as well.

Google
San Lorenzo Gelato at The Plaza in Coral Gables lives up to its reputation as one of the world’s top gelato spots. With both a main shop and a nearby pop-up, it’s easy to get your fix. I sampled a few flavors, but the San Lorenzo flavor was the standout—light, floral, and beautifully unconventional with its delicate rosemary notes. The lower sugar content lets the flavors shine, making it a refreshing and sophisticated treat. Beyond gelato, they offer stunning French pastries. I tried the chocolate with coconut and the chocolate with passion fruit. The coconut was too sweet for my taste, but the passion fruit was spot-on, balancing richness and acidity perfectly. However, at $12 each, they’re on the pricey side. Gelato, on the other hand, feels fairly priced for the quality. Overall, San Lorenzo is a must-visit. That signature flavor alone makes it one of the best I’ve ever had.

Google
The place has a cute aesthetic, which I appreciated, but as a gelato lover, I found the flavors a bit underwhelming. The texture wasn’t as creamy as I’d hoped, and overall, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. There are definitely better gelato spots in Miami, but it could still be worth a visit if you’re in the area and looking for a cozy atmosphere.

As someone who works in the area, I find myself returning to this incredible spot at least once a week, and it never disappoints. Every visit feels like an opportunity to experience something new and exciting, whether it's a beautifully crafted gelato or a daily surprise that’s always brimming with creativity and thoughtfulness. Today, I had the pleasure of indulging in one of their pistachio pastries—an absolute revelation. The pastry itself was light yet rich, with the unmistakable earthy depth of the pistachios elevating the flavor to new heights. The real surprise, though, was the tart raspberry filling nestled inside, a perfect contrast that brought a bright, refreshing acidity to balance the richness of the nuts. It was a harmonious blend of flavors that showed true culinary artistry. Pairing it with a double shot espresso, which was brewed to perfection, completed the experience. The espresso was smooth, robust, and just the right amount of bold—another testament to the skill and care behind every item crafted here. I honestly don’t understand why the line isn’t out the door, given the consistent excellence on display. Chef Floriano continues to impress me with every visit, showing a true commitment to the craft. I look forward to returning next week, as I'm eager to see what he has perfectly curated next. If you haven't been yet, do yourself a favor and make the trip—you won't regret it.

Yelp
The Raffaello gelato is heavenly! Super creamy with that perfect mix of coconut and almond that tastes just like the candy, but even smoother and more luxurious. It's sweet, light, and honestly addictive. The Snickers flavor is on a whole different level. Rich, chocolatey, and loaded with peanut and caramel notes, it tastes like a frozen version of the bar but more gourmet. Ever since I stopped by I haven't been able to stop thinking about it and I'm really going to stop by again although I live 1 hour away.

Yelp
This was a very high quality gelato shop. I enjoyed their vegan chocolate very much. The gelato is premium as the price. It was in a safe area and building and open late. Service was nice, they let us sample a number of flavors, some which have won third party awards!

Yelp
While zooming through instagram, my wife discovered a Gelato parlor located in the new posh area of Coral Gables. San Lorenzo Gelato services hand crafted gelatos and sweet creations with an open concept interior and plenty of tables to sit and enjoy. I ordered a cone which had a scoop of their amaretto and Coconut. The gelato was super creamy and the coconut tasted like real coconut with bits of caramelized morsels. They also specializes in pastries and they had one that was a large Rocher chocolate encased with dark chocolate shell, with chocolate interior and gooey caramel center. The caramel was one of the best we ever had. My only complaint it is on the pricy side of gelatos but it truly worth to indulge once in a while.

Yelp
SLG is not a gelateria, it is an experience. I am completely obsessed and cannot even decide which one is my favorite. Highly recommend mascarpone and fig and yogurt with cherries. Lovely location and the service is outstanding. Please NEVER close!

Yelp
Molto bene questa gelateria! Caffè bianco e delizioso anche il nocciola! Would be helpful if the labels on the flavors indicated allergens such as nuts or gluten but it does not have that and the staff wasn't as knowledgeable as to ingredients

Yelp
This place is amazing! Food, service and ambiance are great. So many flavors of gelato to choose from! I chose the passion fruit and Romeo and Juliet (guava and cream cheese) and I was in gelato heaven! It was DELICIOUS. They give you big scoops too! The staff were so nice, patient and very nice. This place lives up to the hype and I will definitely keep coming back.

Yelp
I'm not too big of a gelato fan, but San Lorenzo Gelato definitely stood out. We went back to back two days in a row, and were impressed by the quality of the Gelato. The staff is very kind and patient, my mom wanted to try out a few flavors and they were kind enough to allow her to try a few before deciding on her choices.

Yelp
Refresh the last sips of the Miami Summer weather by tasting these Italian Gelato gems Who thought that in Miamk you could also find legit Italian gelato! San Lorenzo offers plenty of tasty unique flavors like their Award winning pieces San Lorenzo (chocolate base) and their honey-dripped Ricotta Pine nut gelato. We ordered the San Lorenzo and the Cookie/ Caramel mix and it was creamy and smooth as expected. You can taste all the ingredients, and satisfy your sweet ice cream whim. They also offer pastry gems like the 100% vanilla, Gold Coffee , Chocolate bar, and the literal Cherry on the top presented in the pictures by the lovely Genesis ! All of them are so delicately crafted and look like art pieces that you will have remorse for eating them, but their fresh taste will immediately make you devour them in a heartbeat. They also offer Italian coffee to pair your sweet treats. Grazie mille Asia, Jessica, Genesis, Lenise, Nay, and Helena (owner) for the warm hospitality and patience during the moment of picking the gelato flavor, as they let us taste all the ones we requested! The shop is located in the charming Plaza complex in Coral Gables, so you can stroll down the neighborhood, while you enjoy your sweet delights!

Yelp
Deeeeeeelightful!!! While visiting Coral Gables, a couple of lovely ladies who live in this town recommended we stop here before we leave. This is a must try and try again. The waffle aroma kisses your nose as you walk through the doors of the very open restaurant. Being able to try the samples before I ordered made my decision even tougher but the staff is very patient and helpful. So many decadent flavors to choose from! I ordered the amaretto and pistachio, although next time I'll skip the pistachio and go for the ricotta/rosemary, or maybe the chocolate, or maybe....so many were so good! There is a small but satisfactory amount of size options to choose from as well - from cup to cone. We would be delighted to visit here again!

Yelp
This is a beautiful gelato shop with great tables to sit at and just chill at any point in the day when you want a snack, or as a dessert stop after enjoying dinner on The Mile. It's also just across Ponce de Leon from Anthony's pizzeria, and a block and a half from Sanguich. The gelato here is delicious. They have flavors like pistachio, chocolate hazelnut, and a Snickers for the peanut butter fix. I was hoping for guava gelato when I visited, but they didn't have it. However, I ended up splitting the cup with pistachio and hazelnut as a consolation prize--it didn't disappoint. The service was very efficient and friendly. They make you feel at home.

Yelp
This spot is new and prides itself as being one of the best gelatos in the world. It is in the plaza coral gables. A new spot in Coral Gables. Easy street parking or garage parking. There is a variety of flavors, but they have different names you can't tell which is which and the writing is small. I got the famous San Lorenzo. I was expecting more out of the Gelato. It is good Gelato but it is not the best. In my humble opinion. I prefer other Gelato spots in Miami .

Yelp
I forgot which one I got now but omg it was so good, had caramel and chunks of brownie. 10/10!!!

Yelp
The service here was amazing! When we approached the ice cream case, the staff asked if we wanted to try some flavors and immediately recommended that we try their top two flavors. Every bite of gelato was delicious and I couldn't recommend them more. Each small cup can come with two flavors and they were $6 per cup! The seating was comfy here so it was nice to hang out with friends.

Yelp
Wow. Just...WOW. Now I'm by no means a gelato expert but I do know when something tastes amazing. And this gelato was not only the best gelato I've had but probably the best ice cream I've had. Located in the Gables Plaza, they have both street parking and a plaza parking lot. And yes the minute you walk in you smell the waffle scent. But that's only the beginning. They have an assortment of pastries and desserts that looked amazing. But my journey here was for the gelato. I sampled a handful and honestly they were all amazing. But the one I just needed more of was the San Pietro. And I'm not even a chocolate lover but it was the smoothest and silkiest chocolate I've ever tasted. Aside from Chocolate, this flavor has Olive Oil and Caramelized Pecans. It was outstanding. My wife had the San Lorenzo which was Ricotta, Honey, Rosemary and Pine Nuts. It was also amazing. Both of these flavors state they are ranked Top 50 Gelato in the world. I have no proof but I also have no doubt. My son chose Vanilla and after trying it I was blown away at how good that was also. All three were in a small cup which is served with a circle waffle cookie which added a nice crunch. While sampling I tried the Mascarpone with Arancia and that was my very close 2nd. If you love Orangesicle then you would absolutely love this grown up version. I can't rate San Lorenzo higher than 5 but if I could I definitely would. Easily my new favorite ice cream/gelato spot. Absolute must try.

Yelp
Gelato is made fresh every single day. One of the best gelatos in all Miami. Highly recommend visiting.

Yelp
OK... this spot is a GEM! After hearing rave reviews about San Lorenzo, I finally made my way over a few weeks ago, and wow--it did not disappoint! The moment you step in, you're surrounded by the heavenly scent of waffle cones, which makes it impossible not to treat yourself. I couldn't resist trying a few flavors (yes, I'm that girl who loves sampling everything!). The pistachio, the award-winning San Lorenzo flavor, and the hazelnut were all so tempting. But I ultimately went with the Kinder Bueno, and OMG, it was amazing. A total burst of flavors! I don't usually go for options like that, but this one blew me away. The shop has plenty of indoor seating if you want to relax and enjoy your treat. We, however, decided to stroll around the Gables while indulging...it was the perfect way to savor every bite. If you're in Coral Gables, I highly recommend giving this spot a visit!

Yelp
The perfect dessert spot in the Gables for Post dinner. We have tried many of the places in the South Miami area for gelato and this has to be one of our favorite. It never disappoints!

Yelp
This place offer is really nice, high-quality gelato. There are plenty of flavors to choose from. We tasted about six or eight different ones, they were very nice to let us try whatever we wanted. We opted to get the pistachio and the ricotta rosemary, both were absolutely delicious. The servings are on a smaller side, but the gelato is very very rich. And speaking of rich, this place is pretty pricey, we got a medium with two flavors and that was about eight dollars. Definitely high-quality and tasty but also definitely a once in a while treat given the price. Check it out if you're in the Coral Gables area.

Yelp
5 star worthy. Excellent new gelato place in Coral Gables' The Plaza. I am a gelato aficionado and have to say that this is one of the best in Miami. The feature of this gelato was how creamy it is, but light at the same time. I tried the Belgian chocolate and hazelnut and both were outstanding. Very cute atmosphere and they also offer Bachour worthy pastries as well. Definitely would like to try one of those next time. Will absolutely be back and soon. Putting this on my weekly rotation list.

Yelp
Went to try their ice cream and found myself buying their very beautiful artsy pastries. This place is fancy and it reflects on the prices so be prepared to pay. Treat yourself to a pastry or a coffee and maybe the ice cream

Yelp
San Lorenzo Gelato is as good as they say!! Probably the best gelato I've had outside of Italy! So many delicious flavors and you can try as many as you'd like. We got there late so a lot of the parties were gone but the gelato was top notch. Service was great and there was plenty of seating. Can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
Amazing smooth, rich and flavorful. Many interesting choices as well as classic flavors. Staff nice and willing to sample multiple flavors. Great location, beautiful and modern appearance.

Xavi F.

Yelp
Incredible service! Needs to have more consistency in availability of gelato flavors. Last visit they had too many chocolate based flavors and excessively sweet. Should offer more tangy flavors and also some not so sweet.
google avatar

Sam B.

Yelp
Amazing gelato, felt like I was in Italy. Not too sweet and very thick. The pistachio was my favorite. But they also had a ricotta rosemary that was super unique and delicious.
google avatar

Ardan C.

Yelp
Does not taste like gelato more like ice cream. Too sweet and can't taste the flavor. I had the pistachio and hazelnut cup. It doesn't taste like pistachio or hazelnut. The portion is small. Since it is a new business, it attracts curious customers to try it out. It is also expensive. Not worth it. I prefer Sweet Melody on eighth street.

Dani G.

Yelp
Nothing less than superb! Gelato as it is meant to be - creative, fresh, light and rich at the same time. The waffle cones are amazing and, in of themselves, worth the visit. The store is beautiful, impeccably done! If you are a gelato connoisseur or just a fan like me, this is a must in the Miami area! Bravo San Lorenzo Gelato!

Fernando Z.

Yelp
Lo mejor de Miami. He probado Amaretto, Sabaione, coco, etc. todos deliciosos. Las chicas 100 de 100. Voy cada gin de semana
