San Luis retreat hotel & lodges

San Luis is a special experience, the grounds of the Resort are beautiful, our Treehouse accommodations were a treat. We had a beautiful large porch with comfy lounge chair and a private sauna which we enjoyed daily. Every morning we enjoyed our breakfast delivered to us on our gorgeous porch. The staff was so helpful, the food delicious and the lake, pool and Spa were wonderful. Lots of great hikes right from the hotel, no car necessary. San Luis was a delightful escape.

Unbeatable hotel for its location, lodging and amenities, My husband and I travel a lot and we both agreed we have never stayed in a place with such tasteful decor, delicious meals from breakfast to dinner as this one. ||The spa was great too and Andrea’s massages were the best! I cannot stop recommending my friends to visit this corner of paradise. We never left the premises for the three days we stayed, as we were blessed with heavenly weather and we felt that it would be a shame to go anywhere else. I paddle boarded on the lake and swam in it too and the infinity pool was so inviting. ||Our tree house “ room” was amazing, the bed was comfy and had an amazing array of soft down pillows to pamper you. It felt very private. Perfect for honeymooners, I would say! I liked the fact that the hotel is dog friendly as I am a dog lover. The owners were very attentive hosts and they answered to all our needs in no time. ||During our stay it was nice to see the surrounding fields being worked by the local farmers so it felt we were part of a seasonal ritual. The drive to the lodge was scenic and smooth and a super garage welcomed our car. There were daily cakes for an afternoon snack, lemon and mint water available at all times and we were offered complimentary drinks by the pool twice a day. ||The food was delicious and varied and we were lucky as we were able to dine on the deck overlooking the lake. Candles were lit everywhere even in the indoor restaurant even if nobody was eating inside given the balmy evenings. A touch that showed the esthetic detail level of the owners of the place. Nothing was displeasing to the eyes! If you can afford it don’ t miss visiting it as it has steep prices but they are worth every penny.

San Luis is not just a luxury retreat —it’s an experience, one that lingers with you long after you leave. I cried tears of joy when I arrived and left, it really was a visceral experience. The chalet-style retreat blends the exclusivity of a five-star resort with the warmth and soul of a boutique stay. All of my friends immediately gasped and reached out to find out where I was when they saw my photos/videos/social - no doubt there will be a tidal wave of New Yorkers after my stay! The attention to detail of the staff and facilities is impeccable: they strike the perfect balance of presence and discretion. However, what truly sets San Luis apart is its atmosphere—a harmonious blend of intimacy, design, and heartfelt hospitality. It's the captures where luxury lies not in excess, but in the subtle perfection of every detail. There are NO photos or videos that can truly do this place justice, despite looking forward to this for over a year I still was taken aback. The chalets is like your own sanctuary, with wood-burning fireplaces, natural materials, and wide glass windows that blur the lines between indoors and the forested world outside. If you’re looking for a refined yet grounded escape, where the luxury is quiet and the experience is personal, San Luis has to be at the top of your list.

I spent 4 nights in one of the treehouses and it was the most magical stay ever. If you want somewhere to tune out of the noise of the world, truly relax or be inspired and have complete luxury around you, San Luis is for you. ||First, the treehouse room was incredible, the personal sauna with a view was a highlight, as was the super comfortable bed and beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. ||The food at San Luis was incredible. Breakfast is delivered to your room and you can enjoy it at your leisure and in your pajamas (which adds to the relaxation!). The lunch buffet was incredible and I loved that you can enjoy it in your provided robes as to not disrupt the spa day. The bircher muesli and the crunchy cornflakes were my fave, as was the detox smoothie and carrot and ginger juice. The cakes and fruit for afternoon tea were delicious, as was the cappuccino! The dinner options were plentiful and inspired with something for everyone and everything was served to an incredibly high standard. ||The service was incredibly personable yet professional. Each of the staff were attentive and proactive in ensuring that their guests stay is memorable. In particular, the personalised recommendations for nearby hikes (I went to Schermoos which was beautiful) and a road trip through the Dolomites (also highly recommended from San Luis) were invaluable and made my stay varied and unforgettable. In my experience family Meister and the staff take their time to understand your objectives and wishes during your stay and are motivated to ensure you get the most out of San Luis and surroundings. ||The facilities were next level, the loungers at the pool and spa were so comfortable I fell asleep each time I lay in them! The choice of 3 large saunas, large pool and the well equipped gym and cardio room meant that it was easy to spend the days away trying to work off the incredible food and then relaxing afterwards - a true retreat ! ||||I would have no hesitations in recommending San Luis to anyone who wants an unforgettable experience of true peace and luxury - the many returning guests I spoke to are a testament of San Luis' timeless hospitality!

Our stay in May for my 40th birthday was simply magical, allowing us to completely disconnect from everyday life. From the moment we drove through the private forest, we felt transported to another world. The warm welcome by Mrs. Meister, accompanied by Luis, the charming little hotel dog, along with sparkling wine and a delicious snack in the Clubhouse, made us feel instantly at home.||Our chalet, slightly elevated, treated us to breathtaking views over the entire resort and the majestic mountains beyond. Being able to enjoy this spectacular panorama from both our private terrace and directly from the spacious bed was particularly delightful. The chalet itself embodied "Quiet Luxury" perfectly, with its private sauna and hot tub offering complete privacy and pure relaxation.||Breakfast, discreetly delivered to our chalet by the charming "elves," delighted us each morning with fresh smoothies, juices, and regional specialties. Delicious snacks awaited us at lunchtime, and in the afternoon, we enjoyed homemade cakes in the cozy Clubhouse. Every dinner was a culinary highlight, showcasing authentic South Tyrolean cuisine prepared impeccably with genuine and high-quality ingredients.||The exceptional warmth of every staff member and the genuine hospitality of the Meister family made our stay particularly memorable and unforgettable.||The massages and facial treatments were excellent, significantly enhancing our deep relaxation.||In addition to the peace and beauty at San Luis, we also enjoyed excursions into the stunning surroundings: Meran, various hiking trails, lakes, and forests provided countless opportunities for nature experiences and activities.||San Luis is truly a magical place, blending understated luxury with profound harmony with nature—perfect for anyone seeking genuine, sustainable rejuvenation.||Thank you wholeheartedly, and we look forward to returning soon!

The San Luis is the most tranquil place I’ve ever been to - literally. Whether you’re taking advantage of all the active activities in the beautiful nature right out the front gate or laying by the pool doing nothing at all, the options are endless and superb. The staff are all incredibly warm, discrete, helpful and kind. The food is all gourmet - Michelin quality in every single bite. A perfect place for whatever type of holiday you’re looking for.

San Luis is truly a special place that I’ve been lucky enough to stay at twice now. Everything from the design of the property, the thoughtful details in all of the furnishings, the excellent culinary experience at every meal, the kindest, friendliest staff and just the insanely gorgeous nature you’re surrounded by creates the most relaxing, charming, zen atmosphere. This is more than just a hotel, the entire Meister Family goes out of their way to make you feel like this is a second home to those in need of some rest and relaxation.

We have done a fair share of international luxury travel, and San Luis was the best experience we have had to date. The family that runs San Luis is present, available, warm and welcoming. They have created a space where you can disconnect from the world and reconnect with nature and your loved ones. The whole property is immaculately maintained and beautifully appointed. You will not want for anything, and your needs and desires are anticipated and exceeded. The pictures and videos cannot do proper justice to capture the beauty and the feeling of serenity at San Luis. We have only positive things to say about San Luis, and we will most certainly be coming back again.
