We had an amazing stay! The chalet was super cozy, especially with the fireplace that made the whole place feel magical. Every morning we got breakfast delivered to our room exactly the way we liked it — such a treat and no rushing at all. The spa was total relaxation, and honestly, it was the first trip where we didn’t even feel like leaving the hotel because everything was just perfect... In the evenings we had fantastic dinners, and our Italian waiter was super friendly ( I don’t remember his name, but he told us he was recently at a wedding in Poland, our country). The lady at the reception was also incredibly friendly and helpful. We loved every moment of our stay and would love to come back one day ♥️

One of the best stays in Dolomites. Would highly recommend staying for at least 2 - 3 nights to enjoy the hotel facilities and ambiance. It’s a very quiet and sophisticated lodges tucked in South Tyrol. They offer in room breakfast (you cook it yourself and they provide all equipments needed) they also dedicate a specific table for you to dine in everyday throughout your stay which I think was amazing. Their spa and pool was beyond beautiful. You can also drive an electronic bmw free of charge to text it around. The nearest ski slopes is around 20 - 25 minutes drive. It’s pet friendly.

We stayed at San Luis from January 10–13 2026 and had the pleasure of staying in the treehouse. It was simply beautiful ! From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. The service was outstanding. Every single staff member as well as the family behind the hotel, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and welcoming. You can really feel that hospitality here comes from the heart. The treehouse was very peaceful, cozy, and surrounded by nature. The perfect place to slow down and fully relax. The entire stay felt very special and unique, so we left feeling truly refreshed! We will definitely be back. ❤️

Even so, San Luis Retreat stands out as one of the most memorable and thoughtfully run resorts we’ve experienced.||Exceptional, Personal Hospitality|From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine warmth by Claudia and her mother, Ilse. Claudia (who owns the resort with her brother Alex) went above and beyond every single day. My wife has dietary restrictions, and each morning Claudia sat with her to review the menu and coordinate custom dishes with the chef. This level of personal care made a huge difference in our stay.||Outstanding Food|The food at San Luis is exceptional across the board. Everything is fresh, carefully sourced, and beautifully prepared.|• A la carte Alpine breakfast delivered daily to our room—a luxurious and wonderfully comforting ritual, enhanced by the clever breakfast nook hidden behind a pocket wall for total privacy.|• Light lunch that was anything but light—plenty of options, each flavorful and thoughtfully made.|• Afternoon “cake hour” (actually two hours!) with a rotating array of cakes, strudels, pastries, and gelato.|• Dinner with imaginative, high-quality dishes and variety night after night.||This is one of the rare “all-included” style experiences where the food is consistently outstanding and feels crafted rather than mass-produced.||Beautiful Chalet & Relaxing Wellness Areas|We stayed in a Chalet A, which was spacious, stylish, and equipped with a private sauna and fireplace—both of which we enjoyed nightly. The spa and relaxation areas are wonderfully designed, from the cozy firelit loungers to the indoor/outdoor pool with stunning views. Even the personal locker for robes and towels was a thoughtful touch.||A Stay That Left Us Wanting More|We originally booked five nights but added a sixth after our first evening because we immediately knew we wouldn’t want to leave. Instead of feeling remote or bored, we found ourselves more relaxed with each passing day.||Already Planning Our Return|San Luis now sits at the top of our list—not just in Italy, but anywhere we’ve traveled. We can’t wait to return.

Dear Team San Luis, Thank you so very much for the most magical stay in your beautiful chalet as I celebrated my 50th birthday with my husband and four friends from Napa, CA and Bologna, Italy for four restorative and peaceful nights. Everything from beginning to end was a 5 star experience and we sincerely want to thank you and your entire team for making this one of our best hotel experiences ever. Upon arrival, we were greeted in the garage by one of your team members who quickly helped us unload all of our baggage and delivered it directly to our chalet while we checked in on your beautiful terrace overlooking the lake. It was such a nice treat after the long drive from Längenfeld to receive your lovely charcuterie board along with a glass of prosecco as we received details about the property and our spa confirmations. Enjoying our private breakfast in the sanctuary of our chalet was a decadent treat and it was the best way to start the day. We loved all of the many rooms around the property to relax and unwind with the crackle of the fire that was always plentiful. The indoor/outdoor pool, steam and sauna rooms were also enjoyed by all 6 members of our party. The common areas were so tranquil and peaceful that all 3 couples enjoyed the privacy of our own space yet the camaraderie of your well appointed lodge space. Lunch and dinner were always superb and one could certainly never go hungry there with the abundance of food at your disposal. Your curated list of hikes was super helpful in helping us choose a great way to spend two hours right off of the property and it was beyond kind of you to supply a backpack for us to carry our waters and lunch. I thoroughly enjoyed my massage treatment with Andreas, a true healer. We will be thinking of your fabulous down duvet black chaise loungers and all of the small details filled with love until our next visit. Wishing you all of the best and much continued success. What a special place! A place of silence and beauty, where you can escape from everyday life, slow down and restore mind, body and soul. There is so much to say, but mainly a big thank you to the Meister family and all the staff who made our stay absolutely perfect. From the minute we arrived, we felt warmth, welcome and genuine care. We could not have been looked after better!|Our treehouse was beautiful, nestled in the treetops, and completely private. The main lodge area is warm and welcoming, with beautiful, tasteful and calming décor, cosy corners to curl up with interesting books, and a fairy tale atmosphere in the evening with log fires crackling, and hundreds of candles glowing.|The food is fresh, local, and beautifully prepared. From the breakfast basket delivered to your chalet at a time to suit you, to the afternoon ice-cream and cake corner, to exquisitely prepared evening meals served in the elegant, cosy dining area, everything was delicious. The staff were attentive without ever hovering, and everything had been thought of to make guests’ stay restful, relaxing and deeply contented|If you’re feeling energetic, there are lovely walks through surrounding hills and meadows. Or you can do what we did on one rainy day: curl up by the fire, watch the rain on the lake, and do nothing in particular. We visited in early autumn, which was stunning, but I’m sure every season is beautiful in this very special place. It was the people though, with their warmth, charm, and genuine hospitality who made our stay so unforgettable. And it was so refreshing to be somewhere where guests respect the atmosphere of peace and privacy. Thank you, and we hope to be back very soon!

I spotted San Luis Lodges hotel years ago, dreaming about staying there and it exceeded our expectations ! We were warmly welcomed by Claudia and offered drinks and snacks at the main house. We stayed on a chalet by the lake with plenty of space, a private sauna, a large tub and a fireplace. Every morning a beautiful breakfast was quietly delivered to our chalet so we could stay cosy to start the day. The hotel is very well maintained and the atmosphere is really peaceful with fireplaces and candles almost everywhere. I was pleasantly surprised that all meals were complementary. There were many choices and every dish was very qualitative and delicious (we ate too much 😊). The swimming pools are outstanding and very warm so you can enjoy them even if it’s cold outside. The location offers amazing views on the mountains and is close to hike trails and Merano city. We stayed at many nice hotels but it is definitively one of our favorites now. We are already planning on coming back during winter.
