We had heard a lot about San Pedro Fish Market on social media, so we decided to give it a try on a Saturday evening while we were in the area. Although we had already had dinner, we opted to enjoy some drinks and snacks and asked to be seated in the bar area.
The place has a rustic charm and was bustling with activity, even though it was close to 9 p.m. The atmosphere was lively, with lots of families and guests coming and going. Despite the crowd, the service at the bar was very attentive, and the bartender made some great suggestions.
We decided to try the LBC Margarita, which featured fresh cucumber juice. It was nice and light, though a bit sweet for my taste. For snacks, we created our own combo with grilled shrimp and grilled calamari, choosing fries and grilled zucchini as our sides. Even though it was our first time, we were really pleased with the seasoning we chose, opting for the combination of savory seasoning and the mojo de ajo as the base for the shrimp and calamari, with the diablo sauce on the side for dipping. If you love spicy dips, this sauce is amazing--perfectly balanced with a subtle heat. We also tried a half-shelf of oysters, which were okay.
Overall, it was a good experience, and we're looking forward to coming back for a full meal.
