Returning to San Pedro Fish Market for the second time, I was once again immersed in its vibrant atmosphere and delectable seafood offerings. The iconic shrimp trays, piled high with a medley of fresh seafood, vegetables, and their signature seasoning, remain a highlight. The communal dining setup fosters a lively environment, perfect for gatherings with family and friends. While the food quality is consistently impressive, I did notice that during peak hours, the service can be a bit slow, likely due to the high volume of patrons. However, the staff remains courteous and works diligently to accommodate everyone. The market’s location offers scenic waterfront views, adding to the overall dining experience. It’s evident that the establishment values its patrons, as seen in their efforts to maintain cleanliness and provide ample seating despite the bustling crowds. In summary, San Pedro Fish Market continues to deliver on its promise of fresh seafood and a memorable dining experience. I look forward to future visits and exploring more of their menu offerings.

Google
A beautiful place to sit around and look at the ocean, food was great. The service was okay but overall the experience was good. It's worth going to check it out.

Ordered delivery. Good portion sizes. Fisherman’s stew had ample seafood: salmon, mussels, squid bodies and tentacles, shrimp. Halibut was a large portion, with fries. Clam chowder was quite thick, sparse chunks of clams and potatoes. Caesar salad was great- chilled and fresh.

Two people, no reservation on Sunday evening. The hostess guessed 30 min. She was right on. The place has a cool reservation website which shows where you are in line and how soon you're coming up. This was great! The waiter tried, but the kitchen screwed up. Everything they could screw up they screwed up. Both of us ordered salmon but cooked differently, they mixed them. They were supposed to bring sauces, twice. They never showed up. After we were seated and given menus. The waiter forgot about it. It was 20 or 30 min until they took the order. They must have screwed up the other once as it was taking a long time and they offered us a free appetizer. Which was nice. We won't go back. The management needs to fix the organization there. It seems their sop isn't refined enough.

Came here for the first after seeing all the reels and was disappointed. Service was kind of off. Our server Carlos seemed not so focused, not sure if he was overwhelmed or if he just too tired, but he was very chatty on the side with a female co worker with a tablet in her hand every chance he got. As for the food, tray options were kind of weird. None of them had crab? But you have option to add on and it was snow crab. We decided on their famous shrimp tray. Came out barely warm with bread that looked very cheap. We ordered oysters too which oddly came out last unlike other places serve them first. Kids meals were decent with grilled salmon option. I dont think we will be back it seems the Name or Brand is what gives them the popularity and pricing. I rather go to a seafood boil where we can get more quality, quantity, options and Dungeness crabs for $200 (or even less).

Google
The food was simple and it was good, but actually I wouldn’t drive out here for the food. You pay for the experience and the atmosphere. Great place for a date, but not to hang out with many friends. Miss the old San Pedro fish market in San Pedro, with the long lines and the craziness, it’s under construction, so we went here and it’s not what we expected. Not worth the drive

Google
This place is a must try. The world famous shrimp trays. They have trays of seafood to choose from, and of course, it is customizable to what you want. We opted for the Alamitos Bay Tray. You can pick anything you like in their variety of freshly catched fish of the day, and they will cook it to your liking with the best seasonings. I personally prefer the combination of the signature and the garlic herb. It's just so delicious, and I asked for hot sauce on the side.

Henry Rios

Google
Don't add all 3 seasonings it will be too salty, as I learned! Get the seasonings as sides. Nice place overall, even better than the original San Pedro location!

Yelp
Came here for Mother's Day weekend with the fam, and it was a whole scene - in the best way! Super packed (as expected), but we still had a great time. We got one of the famous seafood trays (shrimp, sausage, potatoes, peppers, and garlic bread) and it did not disappoint. So flavorful, fresh, and plenty to share. It's definitely a "wow" dish when it hits the table. The vibe was festive - music playing, people laughing, ocean views - very family-friendly but with energy. Perfect for celebrating something special.

Yelp
Size of oysters were tiny & they were $20 Forgot to bring me my ceviche out & it was garbage Staff sucks , ruined a classic place I grew up eating at. .
google avatar

Yelp
Never again. The oysters were BAD! Old tasting, no brine flavor, and something tasted just off. I ordered a dozen with 4 of each of the 3 kinds and left 4 of them on the plate. It was served with tons of lemon, cocktail sauce, and horseradish but no vinegrette. I paid quickly because my stomach was already telling me to stop eating and that it was off - made it less than a block to the Whole Foods bathroom to throw up. Never in my life have I had such bad oysters! Service was attentive and restaurant and bathroom were clean. I did get a short pour on my sauv blanc and it was 11.5 instead of 11 but didn't have time to argue - I needed to get out! Update: I called the restaurant right after posting this to notify them and received the most blasé 'thanks for letting us know'. Idk what I was expecting but maybe a 'oh no! Feel better!' Would've been appreciated as I'm now downing pepto...

Yelp
Dinned in when it opened on a Sunday. Plenty of parking around the restaurant. We got seated right away on the second floor which a had great view of the marina. Ordered the captains tray with a side of sausage and scallops. Plenty of food for two people! Ended up having some left overs but the quality of food was great! Everything had a great amount of flavor. I'll definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

Yelp
This space is RAD! Family friendly. Make reservations. Great service. My halibut was Amazing. Very Loud inside, but the atmosphere is so fun. Packed on a Sat Nite

Yelp
We have eaten here probably a half a dozen times over the last year and always had a good experience. Coming from Florida originally, it can be hard to find what we consider to be Gulf-style seafood in Southern California, but the shrimp tray, especially when you add spicy sausage and corn on the cob, is as close to a shrimp boil as we have found outside of the deep south. The decor is just the right amount of kitschy, and they've got well priced drinks on tap and a full bar (the big bottle beers are especially fun). The service can sometimes be a little slow, as there are often large parties, but so long as you're not in a rush, it's a great evening out!

Yelp
First time at this location. Very different from the San Pedro location. This is more of a sit down restaurant. Huge two story space, with a bar, and plenty of window side seating with a view of the water. We were celebrating National Margarita Day with some family and also craving seafood...win win! Wasn't too busy on a Saturday. It was lunch time so I had expected a bigger crowd. Lucky us that we were seated rather quickly. Great seats right at the window with the sun warming us during our meal. Friendly and attentive waitress. Came back a couple to check on us and provide refills. We ordered: - House Margarita (needs more alcohol IMO) but came in a pint glass so that was nice -Original Shrimp Tray with sausage and snow crab add on. Perfect amount of food for my husband and I to share. Comes with an entire loaf of garlic bread that we barely got half way through. I saw a couple large mugs of beer floating around other tables. I'll skip the margs next time and tackle one of those babies with my seafood. Love being on the water and enjoyed our meal.

Yelp
Sunday Lunch in the cool breeze. Quick and friendly service. Enjoyed the clam chowder and WF Shrimp Plate

Yelp
First time here for me and it was a fun experience that fits my palette and diet. Our server Ashley was awesome. She explained how everything worked and the options and when I asked for help with a no carb/keto meal she had some good suggestions. Very attentive and really beyond the norm. We order the whole deep fried tilapia which is said to be served on vegetables. We love the whole deep fried fish in Maui and Honu so ordered it. It was yummy and moist inside and crunchy on the outside. A lot of work to eat it around d the bones but sometimes I like that. It slows the process down. . The vegetables were mostly potatoes and some onion and bell pepper with a few tomatoes, so I coulda woulda ordered grilled zucchini for my vegetables. The flavor of the butter and garlic soaked into the were yummy! We will definitely be back.

Yelp
The location is spacious, they have a lot of picnic style seating. Some of the tables are covered others aren't. You order at your table through a QR code and food is delivered by staff. The food was ok, I was hoping it would be more flavorful. It was pricey I ordered the famous shrimp plate, chowder and Margarita that was $50.00 Live music is playing so it makes it a nice place to hang out and eat.

Yelp
Dinner with friends who were craving seafood. We drove to Long Beach to eat here. Our friends recommended this place cause he has been here a few times. The ambiance is great here so is the customer service. The hostess was a little unfriendly but our waiter Carlos made up for it. He was very attentive and friendly. We ordered three fried red snappers which tasted amazing but my most favorite was the ceviche. It was so fresh and flavorful and delicious. I'll come back just for that. The tray full of fried calamari and shrimp and fries was good too. If you love seafood you will love the foods here. Let's not forget about the cocktails. Both drinks way friend and I ordered were delicious.

Yelp
Food and service was great! Loved their outdoor seating area! Ricardo was our server and very friendly. He explained the entire menu for us. The captains tray was delicious! Crispy whole fish was tasty too!! We would return!

Yelp
Came here for happy hour which turned into a full dinner. Great atmosphere, great service and great food. We ordered oysters and deep fried fish and both were very good. You can order thru their menu or order to their market place where they have fresh fish to choose from. You can either fry or broil the seafood m. Great experience overall all.

Yelp
My mom usually visits the original location with her friends.. Since seafood was something that has grown on me throughout the years I finally tried something outside of chicken nuggets lol. I ordered the original shrimp plate with the Cajun seasoning. The portions were huge, I swear they gave me like 2lbs of shrimp!!! The flavor was good. My mom ordered the tilapia, she was so happy. She is so picky, if it's not fresh fish she usually says it tastes like dirt, but this one was just right. We will be coming back since the location is much closer to home. Five stars!

Yelp
Close to Long Beach Airport. Opened at 11am today (Wednesday). Clam chowder was amazing! I would come here just to eat the clam chowder. The calamari was tasty and delicious. I loved the garlic bread with the clam chowder. I didn't really like the steamers and the shrimp place was good but did not stand out like the clam chowder. The waitress was great. Friendly and knowledgeable server. I loved our table and the view of the dock. Beautiful area to walk around. Also close by other places like coffee shops and such.

Yelp
As soon as we were seated in this cute, harbor-view, themed restaurant, our amazing server, Tawana, came up, greeted us with a smile, and in her cool way, let us know she was ready when we were. This was our second visit to this place and we were beyond excited to try a new dish. Omg!!! We can't wait to come back already!!! With Tawana's expertise we ordered the World Famous Shrimp Plate with Garlic Bread and it took us back dreamily to those days down in San Pedro near the port, where you ordered the tray of potatoes, shrimp, onions, peppers, and garlic bread with that delicious Cajun and Italian seasoning and you were speechless. So awesome!!! We also ordered the calamari appetizer, and some Baja shrimp tacos. Everything was epically tasty and that sauce on the shrimp was what we were talking about on the way home. The manager, Ricardo, kindly came over to our table to see how our meal was and we mentioned our delicious choices, our awesome server Tawana, and how we're putting in our reservation now for when we return (as long as we get Tawana to help us). Thank you San Pedro Fish Market, Tawana, and Ricardo for making our dinner memorable and fantastic with your kindness, efficiency, and menu options!! Oh, and thank you also for the unforgettable Churro Donut with Ice Cream for dessert as well. That's going to be our midnight snack!!!

Yelp
When you hear the name of the place, you'd expect to see a fish market that's outside, but this place is a full on restaurant. I shared a Captain's Tray and a Full-Fried Fish with 2 other friends. The garlic bread didn't have much garlic on it and the seafood that was on the captain's tray looked didn't taste fresh, except for the 3 pieces of fish that was on their. The full-fried fish was a bit hard to eat, because the meat didn't come off as easily as other please I had fried fish from. Also, under the fish...there was potatoes and other items being soaked in oil. The service deserved 5-stars, but the food up subpar and didn't feel like it was worth the cost. Lastly, I had two friends that ordered grilled items, but it was super oily that they ended up getting food poisoning thar very night. I'd come back if the food wasn't as oily as it is.

Yelp
Had lunch here on a Saturday with my wife. We originally sat outside, but it was a bit too cold, so we ended up moving inside. Our server, Evelyn, was super friendly and checked in on us often without being overbearing. We ordered our usual: the Shrimp Tray with spicy sausage added. While waiting, we snacked on Chips & Salsa, and I've got to say, the salsa was incredible. I told myself I'd only have a couple chips, but it was too good to stop. As for the Shrimp Tray, just as good as always. Flavorful, cooked perfectly, and just the right amount of kick with the added sausage. This place never disappoints. Always satisfying and always worth the trip.

Yelp
I remember going to the San Pedro Fish Market as a kid with my family. Loved seeing that they made more locations where we can enjoy the same delicious food. We ended up trying the captains tray since it was more than enough for us to share. It comes with Crispy Shrimp, Calamari, & Whitefish with french fries. Every thing was so good. We loved the ambiance and the views out into the water, it is a great place to enjoy some food with the family and then be able to walk around by the ocean.

Yelp
I came during the renovation, so we ended up eating at the temporary location near the water... and the pop-up restrooms. I wasn't too crazy about the setting, but they were clearly doing the best that they could. We sat outside under umbrellas, as there isn't an interior at the moment. You have to order using a QR code and then stay at your table. I regretted the table we picked right away, but we stayed since we had committed and ordered. I think the order took about 15 minutes to get to us, but no issues. The food quality wasn't as great as I remember, and the prices have certainly gone up quite a bit. Still, it was a nice day for lunch and the dishes were quite good. A bit greasy, per my date, but good. We had to pay something like $8 to park on some dusty gravel, but that's okay. Not sure I'll be back again until the new location is up and running.

Yelp
10/10 everything was delicious, I couldn't stop eating Micheladas were ehh. Cadillac was good! Service was good.

Yelp
I love this place. The food, service and view always on point. The perfect place for a nice chill lunch/dinner.

Yelp
SLAM some CLAM chowdah'! It's traditional with a twist. And you'll be JAMMIN' with the SALMON sandwich! (with crispy delicious seasoned fries) Huge property with mass amounts of seating, parking and high spirits.

Yelp
We were, originally, planning to go to another seafood restaurant in Redondo Beach. But, after looking around on yelp, we decided to try this instead. It turned out to be a good decision. Food was great and, surprisingly, not too salty. Our server was friendly and attentive. In terms of prices, it's definitely on the high side like most seafood restaurants. Love the location of the restaurant. You get to enjoy the view of the marina while dining at the restaurant.

Yelp
We had heard a lot about San Pedro Fish Market on social media, so we decided to give it a try on a Saturday evening while we were in the area. Although we had already had dinner, we opted to enjoy some drinks and snacks and asked to be seated in the bar area. The place has a rustic charm and was bustling with activity, even though it was close to 9 p.m. The atmosphere was lively, with lots of families and guests coming and going. Despite the crowd, the service at the bar was very attentive, and the bartender made some great suggestions. We decided to try the LBC Margarita, which featured fresh cucumber juice. It was nice and light, though a bit sweet for my taste. For snacks, we created our own combo with grilled shrimp and grilled calamari, choosing fries and grilled zucchini as our sides. Even though it was our first time, we were really pleased with the seasoning we chose, opting for the combination of savory seasoning and the mojo de ajo as the base for the shrimp and calamari, with the diablo sauce on the side for dipping. If you love spicy dips, this sauce is amazing--perfectly balanced with a subtle heat. We also tried a half-shelf of oysters, which were okay. Overall, it was a good experience, and we're looking forward to coming back for a full meal.

Yelp
OMG.... From the first sip of my Mangonada I knew I would be coming back definitely the best margarita I've had in a long time....soooo I ordered the shrimp plate and Brussel sprouts and a shareable fried shrimp everything was amazing the customer service ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!! My server was a sweet young lady named Jennifer she was very attentive and made sure we were good at all times big thanks to Jennifer this is the service I want everywhere I go
google avatar

Carolina R.

Yelp
$9.00 any margaritas all day! Nothing wrong with that! Having lunch with our Godson and his wife. Sat at the bar while we waited for them to join us.
google avatar

Meagan I.

Yelp
I've always see this place on IG and had to grab some food while I was down in Long Beach. Unfortunately it wasn't much of an experience. I went for the MOJO DE AJO WORLD FAMOUS SHRIMP PLATE. It was really basic. Mostly potato's and onions with a handful of small shrimp. Not much worth remembering in flavor. No real sense of garlic flavor. I'd rather go to boiling crab for shrimp. The CALAMARI was as good as you can get anywhere really. If I had to choose something again is be fine with this. Maybe if you want a quick snack. I wouldn't go out of my way for this but it was fine.
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
If you like seafood, this place is the spot to go to! I recommend the build your own plate. I like to get the grilled salmon (a la plancha) and 2 sides. The corn on the cob is a must and potatoes wedges are very well seasoned. It's right on the water so you get a nice view of the ocean and boats. The service is always quick and it can get pretty busy depending on the time of day.
google avatar

Jerome H.

Yelp
For no reason it has been a while since our last visit. Today was a nice revisit. My wife enjoyed the shrimp tacos while I had fish sandwich. Service was very good, atmosphere was pleasant, and food top notch.
google avatar

Robyn M.

Yelp
It was good. We were a little apprehensive based on the varied reviews but decided to try on our own. Haven't been here since it was The Crab Shack. Used to adore the original SP fish market in SP. we ate at the bar. Service was friendly and prompt. Drinks were amazing. Food was tasty. Nice music going. Not too loud. TVs showing sports matches at the bar. Beautiful view of the bay. Decent prices. Can't complain. Easy parking and there's plenty of it. Came on a Saturday afternoon and was able to sit at the bar immediately. This Yelp Elite Reviewer would definitely come again.
google avatar

Anabel B.

Yelp
This is an outdoor establishment w live music and no bathrooms. Parking lot was full, so I had to park on the street. The food had good flavor but overall a tad bit overpriced. $45 for 1/2lb white fish, side of potatoes and veggies and a Pepsi. I mean this in the nicest way but the staff here moves at glacial speed. It took 45mins to get my food. I had to get check on it. Fish was cold as hell. I'm going to hit up the Los Alamitos one next time.
google avatar

Jarvis J.

Yelp
We have been to the old location several times and have always loved the food. We got the shrimp platter that comes with shrimp, potatoes, and garlic bread. Plus we ordered extra shrimp and bread. Very tasty as usual. We also got our daughter a double cheeseburger as she does not eat seafood. While we liked the food, we did notice that the prices at the counter are just out of control. They have sausage for $14 a pound when I can go to the grocery store and get almost 3 lbs for that price. Come on now, watch those prices.
google avatar

Lorna K.

Yelp
This location is very empty, the ambiance is nice as it sits by the marina. The service was slow at first, but then it got better. We were the first customers. The shrimp tray was a bit of a disappointment as the size of shrimp is smaller than what was served at their mother location in San Pedro. The flavor was good, but not the same as past visits in San Pedro which sadly, is just a memory.
google avatar

Michael V.

Yelp
Went with a group from meetup for lunch at the San Pedro Fish Market. Right on the water in alamitos bay, long Beach. I ordered the shrimp plate and added on scallops. The food was cooked perfectly which isn't always the case with shrimp. The vegetables are well seasoned and paired well with the proteins. Waitress was very busy but did check back with us regularly. My only regret was having to leave for work before I was able to finish my lunch. Fortunately I was able to get a to go container to enjoy it as leftovers.
google avatar

Saphace A.

Yelp
We used to go to the main location in San Pedro but since it was closed temporarily we came here instead. We stopped by the fish market inside. Much smaller and not as much of a selection as the main one. It's mostly a restaurant as opposed to a market. We got sweet and spicy calamari and we got the large shrimp, shells on, with Cajun seasoning. Seasoned well and def worth the price! So good! The food here is fresh and made to order. It seems pricey but you're paying them to cook it for you. It's hard to get this kinda stuff this fresh when you live inland. They weren't busy so it took maybe 10 ish minutes. It's confusing how you get your food because you wait in the front lobby. Wasn't sure if they were gonna call our name or text? It wasn't until the hostess asked if we had an order we were waiting on. The staff is really nice though. I would come back to dine in. The menu looked pretty good. And they have a ton of parking.
google avatar

Vita H.

Yelp
We had a craving for fried fish, so we decided to try San Pedro Fish Market. The service was excellent; our waitress explained how everything worked. We could order fish from the menu, create our own plate, or pick the type of fish and how we wanted it cooked. We went for the last option. The fish and shrimp (nice and big!) were moist with a good texture. We had them fried, but sadly, they had no flavor, and the batter slid right off the fish when I tried to plate it. The batter stayed on the shrimp, but still lacked taste. We also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which was just okay. Maybe the grilled option would have been better, but I guess we'll never know!

Yelp
Amazing dinner and great service. Lovely atmosphere overlooking the Marina. We enjoyed our special dinner very much.

Yelp
Drove here from Jurupa Valley to try for the first time & it was not disappointing whatsoever! There was not a long wait to be seated, as I chose to sit outside & see the view of the dock. I ordered an Original Shrimp Tray along with Snow Crab & everything smelled, looked & tasted amazing. I forgot our servers name as it was a girl with glasses & a chain that said gold name plate on it a tiger tattoo on her hand. She was helpful with the menu!! Our bus boy was Dylan & he was very kind and helpful as well! Great choice of employees as well as great environment all around! Thanks for a great experience.
google avatar

Teira R.

Yelp
Had to come back of course, and brought a friend to try out! I got the Cadillac Margarita and it really packed a punch. I love how consistent this place is and they have some great wait staff. The waiter from my last visit recognized me and said "hi!" So sweet!
google avatar

Christopher T.

Yelp
I tried the original place in San Pedro and it was Great, this is just a step down in food quality (overcooked the foods) or just something missing. BUT it is a definitely a HUGE step up in location, decor and sitting space. The service is still the same, nice and helpful but sometime you might encounter some attitudes from the servers. But we had a nice time here.
google avatar

Kate L.

Yelp
Request outdoor seating to enjoy the gorgeous sunset. Make reservations or else you are waiting for 1.5 hours on Saturday around 6pm. Friendly staff. Wish we ordered a lighter sauce. I don't know what the guys ordered but the sauce was overwhelming. Fresh seafood. Juicy tender pull pork. Crispy garlic bread, perfect to sop up sauce. Next time, no tray. Just the fisherman's stew. This soup was fresh, light, all seafood cooked perfectly.
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
Reviewing this specifically for the Taco Tuesday deal. The Taco Tuesday deal comes with 3 tacos of your choice from the situated menu so I decided to choose the Baja Fried Fish, Grilled Shrimp, and Ahi Tuna Poke Tacos. The Baja Fried Fish was really crispy and a big portion! The slaw on top was refreshing and accents the fish well. The Grilled Shrimp was flavorful and had a good char to them. The Ahi Tuna Poke was fresh and light. This also came with a side of chips and guac which is a good combo. Overall, this is a great Taco Tuesday deal for someone looking for seafood tacos! (Don't forget to grab an ice cold beer too)

Alberto V.

Yelp
We were there for Father's day, the clam chowder was horrible, the clams and mussels even worse , sour taste, The Fisherman's stew very watery, no flavor whatsoever, The Fish and Chips , a fast food place makes them much better. Personally I wouldn't waste money here , it's not cheap and for those prices the food should be much much better. The only good thing was the server Jeff, very attentive and very helpful, not his fault the food is horrible.
google avatar

Ann V.

Yelp
Cleaner establishment in comparison to the original San Pedro location and you're still getting the good seafood that you're craving for! The location is much more convenient and has plenty of parking.
google avatar

Muhan Z.

Yelp
I wish the oysters were larger and there was more crab/shrimp for the price. Service was inattentive but the employees were kind. Really good Cajun seasoning + great ambiance for big parties
google avatar

Yelp
Too salty!! Seafood seemed imported .. due to its size.. we are a coastal state where fishing could be local yet it isn't.. for profit. I grew up in the ports of San Pedro the real fish market... does not pair up to this location.

Yelp
Took my Mom here for a pre-Mothers Day lunch the Friday before Mothers Day at noon. Our waiter was Carlos (best hair and attitude EVERRRR). Oh, the key word for him is "AMAZING". My Mom wanted shrimp and crabs. She was able to go and pick out the crabs she wanted at Market Price because she wanted the big ones. lol. The food was good. I had the shrimp plate and we both had the clam chowder. The chowder was fresh and clean and really creamy. Delicious. I initially ordered white rice which was bland and dry so I sent it back for fries. Overall my Mom was happy with her food (she's SUPER picky) and that made me very happy. It wasn't the best I've had and to me, a seafood restaurant without coconut shrimp is odd. I probably wouldn't drive all that way for this restaurant but it was pleasing for a one time outing. It's a HUGE restaurant with lots of space for large parties. The staff here is very pleasant! The food comes out hot and fast. Try it

First ask for Carlos he will keep you entertained and he also is knowledgeable about the food. It's a very cute establishment on the marina. We all had tacos shrimp, pork, that were amazing and were served with chips and dips.
