San Rocco

Our family of four (with 2 older children, 16 and 21) spent nearly a week at Hotel San Rocco in early July, and it was easily one of the best hotel experiences we’ve had. The grounds are stunning—beautiful gardens, peaceful walking paths, and a pool area surrounded by olive trees that created an atmosphere of both luxury and nature. The restaurant deserves special mention. The multi-course wine-tasting dinner was exceptional, a true culinary experience, and the daily buffet breakfast was generous and delicious. What truly stood out, though, was the service. Every request, even our more unusual ones, was met graciously and immediately. The staff anticipated our needs and consistently exceeded expectations. This kind of attentive, proactive service is rare, and it elevated our stay enormously. The atmosphere throughout the hotel is peaceful and refined. Despite the natural setting, there’s an unmistakable sense of luxury and calm. The only minor downside was that our children’s room on the second floor was a bit too warm at night. Otherwise, everything was flawless. We left feeling pampered and relaxed, and we are already looking forward to returning. I strongly recommend Hotel San Rocco to anyone seeking a beautiful setting, exceptional dining, and truly outstanding hospitality.

A beautiful property with a view of the surrounding hills and olive groves. Just idyllic. Our room was a nice size with a very comfortable bed with really nice linens. Great shower! The elevator is a welcome amenity -- we'd been lugging our bags up stairs for 10 days and it was a nice change ! Breakfast on the terrace was lovely -- fruit, pastries, meat & cheese, local honey, eggs, good coffee. I wish we had more time to enjoy the grounds -- it was a little chilly to use the pool. We didn't eat dinner in their restaurant, but we ate at their casual place up the street -- delicious pizza.

I had an exceptional time here at the San Rocco. The hotel and restaurant were amazing. On a number of occasions the hotel went above and beyond to accommodate us. The staff are incredibly lovely.

Exceptional boutique hotel for relax, retreat, vacations.|Provides everything you need - great service, comfortable and stylish accomodation, green vast garden with pool and fabulous breakfast. Also cuisine at the reataurant is great and worth to try. The hotel Staff is very helpful, open for couples, families and dogs. We've spent here a wonderful week and it will be a great pleasure to come back in the future. |

My wife and I stayed here 3 nights on our honeymoon and had an amazing time. The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Dinner in their restaurant was one of the best we've ever had. Breakfast was wonderful. The location and scenery was breathtaking. We can't wait to come back.

The place is beautiful as such however, service is terrible - not a smile nor a hello. Food is not at the level expected and our room was dated. Our shower drains very slowly and the fridge was not cold. We asked for it to be fixed...no news. Apart from the location which is beautiful, this hotel is not worth four stars given the total lack of service.

Went for dinner (did not stay at hotel). We have been many times but not for a couple of years and it is even better than before with new menus (before the menu did not change much from one year to the next). One of us is vegetarian and there was a separate menu which is a real positive. Both of us thought the food was excellent in all respects. The service was also excellent under Ivan and his team. We will be returning.

Breakfast was great, but for other food - dinner or launch you need to book much in advance as also the guests from outside are coming. Welcome was not really nice, we just get the keys and room was shown, but not even told where and when the breakfast is, what to do/visit around the hotel, where the pool and sauna are, etc.. This is expectes for this kind of "heritage" hotel. We have been in more than 200 hotels around the world, but honestly this is not the hotel with good price/performance. Hotel is near the highway and so there is constant noise from cars... It is really loud. Outside pool is nice but was too cold as it is not heated. Inside pool is small and very old, sauna too. Rooms are old and needed much renovation, there were a lot of ants in the room, coming from every hole, so this is really terrible. Don't recommend at all. Worth maximum 60-80€ per night for 2. 2 stars just because the breakfast, otherwise 1.
