I wanted to love it. Smelled good coming in. Was seated immediately and our server was there quickly. Ordered a Hamburger and the 12oz ribeye. Hamburger was overcooked and dry, ribeye was undersized and very chewy. Creamed corn was an interesting side that is provided automatically, it was room temp. Our server was mildly attentive. We were over halfway through our meals before she stopped back. The outdoor space looked amazing and inviting. I wish we would have been told we could sit out there, I assume you can. We werent given the option. I would go back for the vibe, live music and a beer or two, but I would skip the meals. Did I complain? No. Why? So my opinion is objective on my experience. I paid my bill in full and left a tip.

What a great place to have a small wedding if you don’t have a budget. All we did was rent the room and have everyone get their own food and drinks. But check with them. They offer much more. 30+ in our group. The staff were outstanding just loved them. Always eager to help. Stay as long as you can. Enjoy the live music with your friends and family. Thank you so much. Oh and you’re out of the heat when you have your ceremony.

Large rustic setting outdoor venue with a lot of water misters. Has nice sunset views. Expensive drinks. Goid and decent priced food. Not a lot of indoor seating. Looks like a great place for weekend live music.

Really great BBQ and drinks. We need one of these in Montana. It would really fit this vibe. They sell s'more kits, have open fire pits for cooking them, kid friendly and live music. The weather was perfect the night we were there but im sure has summer arrives ever closer the heat will be a bit much for the day time. I loved this place. The staff was friendly despite the busy crowed spaces. Come early the lines are long.

The food was amazing. Service was great. Atmosphere was enjoyable as well. Highly recommend the Rancher Tips. The just melt in your mouth.

So we went for lunch and it was "seat yourself," then order your food from a window and pick up from another window when your buzzer goes off. Apparently, at 4:00 PM, it becomes more like a traditional restaurant with someone seating you and wait-staff attending to you on the main dining area. I'm not sure how it works in the large outside seating area, especially when they have a band playing. But, even though there were no servers when we went, the staff there was very helpful in directing us where to go and how to order. The food was fantastic!!! We're definitely coming back for their steak dinners. The western motif was awesome with the fun little signs posted all over the place. I would highly recommend this place based on our lunch experience alone!

Self serve, laid back western spot! They have awesome food and even better decor! You could spend all day reading the signs and quotes all over! They have live music in the weekends which draws a crowd. Weekdays are less busy which give more time to enjoy to atmosphere. I would recommend this place for families and fun place to hangout with a group of friends!

My husband and I have been regulars here since they opened and we usually have a good experience. We came to San Tan Flat for dinner last night to celebrate a business accomplishment and were fairly disappointed. All of our steaks were over salted and over cooked. The quality of the steaks wasn’t as good as usual either, more on the dry, tough side with less marbling so I’m not sure if they’re purchasing the steaks wasn’t from a new supplier, but they’re not as impressive anymore. Shortly after we got seated, a verbal fight broke out at the bar area with a few gentlemen yelling and cussing at each other, took a few staff members to escort them out. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

Hi everybody. I just want to tell you how much I really enjoy going to San Tan Flat. They have a lot of good food, and I especially like the live country music bands that play there. A good thing about the bands is they start playing at 7:00 PM. I always find it enjoyable and also a nice family place. I noticed a lot of little kids out dancing to the music of the band. They are so cute to watch. My little grandson loves to go there too. He likes the music and dances around to it. Donald L Rost author of "Risen From The Dead."

San Tan Flats -- this is a cool place, mostly outdoors, and that's really the reason to go. It has a fun Western feel, with picnic tables spread throughout the area. It's counter service if you're outside -- so get in one line to order your beverages, and a different line if you want to grab some food. It's a super laid-back atmosphere and a perfect spot to meet up with friends. Prices are fair, but the lines -- especially for food -- can get long and slow. Still, it's worth the drive to check out. We came here on a Wednesday night with friends. We arrived around 4:30 PM and we were seated inside as it was still a little warm outside. However, they do have lots of misters so it's not too bad outside. When you sit inside, you have table service, which was nice. Our server was very nice and efficient. Our food came out within 10 minutes and was nice and hot! My husband ordered the full rack of ribs along with the steak fries. It also comes with cream corn and a roll. I ordered the flat iron steak with asparagus. It also came with cream corn and a roll. Both of our meals were quite delicious. I could only eat the top half of the asparagus because the lower half was a little woody. But there still was plenty of vegetables. We couldn't finish our meals so we took a little home for a lunch snack for the next day. Our friend's rib eye looked pretty good; we'll have to try that next time. They brought our friend out a piece of cheesecake to celebrate his birthday. It was a very nice birthday dessert. The outdoor singer was starting up as we were leaving. I think it would be fun to come back when the live music is playing. We will definitely be back.

We love San tan flat! We go often and we love the steak!! All of the food, drinks and open bars, country line dancing during the live music nights are incredible! Great service!

Quick update to add group photo. This was a frequent destination for our group and my Wife and I enjoyed VIP seating for concerts.

Came here to see a friend of mine who was playing drums as a fill-in for the band's drummer. First time here & was impressed with the great staff here. This place is very accommodating & provides a family friendly atmosphere. I saw people of all ages & walks of life enjoying the music, the food, & just enjoying their time there. The stage is a good sized stage for bands & there is a room off to the side of the stage for bands to store extra gear and personal items during the show. The sound is perfect. There is an outdoor dance floor to "cut a rug". There are fire pits for cold evenings. The food is really good as well. I tried the pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw & potato cakes. HUGE portion size! Took the rest home! Brought my friends here for the second night seeing my drummer friend & we girls had so much fun!

Fantastic atmosphere, fantastic food, fantastic service, fantastic overall experience. Had The Duke burger with steak fries, side salad and Green Pork soup. It was all delicious and the serving sizes were generous. You will love the western motif throughout in a relaxed setting for couples, families or groups alike.

Came to eat here before we went to Fat Cats near by. We came here for lunch, we were able to seat ourselves and when ready, we ordered at the bar. We were so hungry forgot to take pictures of our drinks and food before we dug in. But the food and drinks did not disappoint. We were hoping to try their ribs but unfortunately they only have those on their dinner menu which is at 4pm. I would suggest going early for dinner as it did get packed fast right at 4pm. We definitely will be back for the dinner menu. They have lots of seating area and a nice patio with lots of misters for these summer days.

Great food. A great place to chill and just listen to the music. Can get really busy and packed at times but would definitely recommend checking it out if you haven't.

San Tan Flat is the best! We absolutely love coming here. The atmosphere is awesome! Highly recommend sitting outside, grabbing a table, enjoying a cold one, and listening to some excellent country bands. Bring your dancing boots, too! The food here is pretty good! Their menu is a good size, and so are their portions. The Rancher Tips are probably my favorite thing on the menu! They're delicious! The bar has a good rotation of beer on tap as well as drink specials. San Tan Flats gets busy! If you're trying to sit outside, come early. Seats are first come, first serve. They do blast the misters outside when it's hot out, and they have tons of firepits for when it's cooler out. Either way, it's always a great time at San Tan Flats!

We did self served. I ordered bacon cheese burger with fries. Hamburger as very dry and salty. Fries we very salty as well Music was good.

Long waits for the food during dinner rush, only one cashier, couldn't get a place to sit inside (only about 10 tables). Great atmosphere outside, live entertainment, line dancing and fire pits near the tables you could fill up with provided wood. Bbq ribs were falling off the bone, juicy flavorful ribeye with sides (cream corn was great). Bbq beans not the best.

For all the hype about this place you'd think it would be a great 5 star restaurant. We've been here 3 times and all 3 times the service was so so, the food was... inconsistent. Not horrible but not great either. I'm going to say we more than likely will go back but it won't be a first choice.

I went here for my birthday a few months back and still feel good about going there. I had the steak and it was as if jebediah nightlinger grilled it himself. Tasty and filling. I enjoyed the staff's quickness to assist each other and the rustic aura inside the restaurant. Well done, well done everyone.

This place was so amazing!! Ordered food right away and it was ready pretty quickly. We had the steaks, cooked medium, and they were perfect! Nice seasoning and still juicy/tender. The baked potato was yummy and the corn on the side was also delicious. We came late in the evening, basically missing dinner rush and had a lovely time. The live musician was SO talented and we definitely enjoyed the songs he performed.

San Tan Flat is like taking a step into the Wild Wild West. What a vibe! We were lucky enough to be included in a rehearsal dinner private room for a wedding and we had the best time! The rustic atmosphere paired with the cowboy cuisine is truly spectacular. We had a flat iron steak, loaded baked potato and creamed corn. Everything was so delicious and our steaks were cooked perfectly which is very hard to do when cooking for a crowd! I had a blueberry mojito that was quite tasty along with some martinis. The martinis were a little weaker than I usually go for but not a huge deal. There are a ton of outdoor picnic tables & fire pits for the cooler months. We got a smore's kit for like $8 and shared with a bunch of people. If you live in the area, take your out of town guests here! It really was so much fun.

If you enjoy rodeos, the countryside, cowboys and cowgirls this is a place to add to your adventure list. We stopped by early afternoon on a Saturday and it was not too busy with not many people outside due to the September heat but they have misters blasting so it actually felt cool on the large patio/outdoor area with plenty of shaded space to sit. Inside the restaurant it has a little shop to buy hats/shirts and they have fun decor and signs posted everywhere. We met John (a regular frequenter that has his own sign posted) and a few other regular customers that were friendly. If you want to be active there's a pool table in a separate area of the restaurant plus a stage outside. We stayed through dinner time and every table was taken, we were sitting at the bar, and it transformed into a busy place. The food portions are big with finger food options and entrees like steak and lobster. They offer Pendleton whiskey which is a favorite of Oregonians, and my Bf, but is not at many places we have explored here in AZ. We want to bring some friends here on a night with live music and do some two stepping in the future.

Fave restaurant! They have the best filet! I've been to many steak restaurants including a 3 Michelin in Paris, and San Tan Flats tops even their filet. We love the atmosphere and everything on the menu is great. The waitresses are amazing. Frankie is our go to. She always greets us with a smile and knows our order. Nothing negative to say at all!

I love this spot, beautiful views, and awesome ambience! Sitting inside is a lot of fun with all the decorations and the food is always amazing! Eating outside is a lot of fun, especially at night when they have live music and dancing! The lines can be pretty long on weekends, so just take that into consideration, but the service is always great!

Place used to be fun but man their staff has real attitude problems. All of them are one bitchier than the other. You think walking up with a family of 6 and wanting to eat there during their slowest months would be a good thing. Nope, from the 2nd they greet you they are pissed off to even have to speak to you. Then you call out the bitchiness and you watch her from a distance cursing you under hear breath. Lol. Ok, no problem, I'll leave and never come back. Works for me. Whole lot of places to eat in the area. No lack of selection.

Looking for a country outdoor BBQ place? This is it. Now we don't have places like this in Hawaii so, it was quite an experience. This place is huge. Outdoor seating near a fire pit on picnic tables. Live music, dancing are all to be had here. Order in front and they will buzz you when your order is ready. Full bar and a s'mores bar. We ordered the Filet, rib eye and next time I'll try the ribs. Wait wasn't too bad considering how busy they were. Food was prepared well. Loved my steak, it had a nice crust on the outside. I wanted a medium but it came out more of a medium well. It was still tender. Served with your choice of starch and a side of creamed corn. Everything was great. Not much service as everything except the drinks were pretty much self serve. It's a drive to get here but for the experience I'd say worth it!

I love coming to San Tan Flats when I'm in the area. This time I was able to bring the hubs. I've never had a bad meal and the corn is not just corn. It's crack corn. Service is always spot on & music is always a plus. This is my favorite sign there.

If you are looking for a top tier country vibe- THIS is the place! The charm of this place just oozes out all over, and will put everyone in a great mood! The western decor from the lighting to the floor- inside and out- was clearly thought out. The little posted signs were fun to read as well. You can dine inside with full service, or you might want to choose the order window that allows for a more casual outdoor experience. Both look to be just as good as the other. Either way, the service staff is the same- and they are all very friendly and attentive. The food- the food was delicious! My sandwich had such a rich, amazing taste unlike I've had before. However they seasoned it- truly a work of art! Yum! I give this place a 10/10- well worth the drive, and not too expensive.

I came here last summer with some friends who are from here when we were looking for a house near by, we ate outside then, it was busy so outside it was. Then fast forward to now, 8 months of living here, thought we'd come back, since we live down the road. We got seated immediately, inside. The hostess was super nice and awesome. Then it came time to order drinks. I wanted to try a drink and I had a copy of my passport because my AZ ID (apparently in this state it's mailed to you instead of giving to you the day you do it) is in the mail coming to me. I need my real passport for work so I keep it at home. Other restaurants had no issues with seeing my copy but this one did. They were inconsistent about it, they said they will need to look on the website and so I get it up and then it's "let me get my manager" she has to decide.... COOL! The manager gets there and was like "absolutely not, we can't go by the copy or the website, that they need a hard copy and they don't do that in Arizona" thinking we were new to Arizona and that's how it's done. I told her they do I've done it many times in Arizona. I then was like okay that's cool.... Rules are rules and I can respect that... and wanted to move on... we said we are ready to order and the waitress and manager both walked off. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt that they didn't hear me, but 18 mins went by and no one came back. Yes, legit 18 mins. Which isn't a lot but we were absolutely starving as we were busy that day and didn't make time to eat and was hungry and it felt like a lifetime but it was 18 mins. I tried to get her attention but you can tell we were being ignored. I finally stopped another waitress, telling her I know it's not her problem but we were going to get a drink but my id is in the mail and they don't want a copy of my passport, which is okay but can we please get something to eat still? She was shocked and was like "omg yes. Let me go get her" she comes around enough for us to hear her and goes "oh now they are ready", like an "ugghh" attitude. We've been ready since both the waitress and manager ran off. The waitress did in the end make up by being super nice. But it caught me off guard. Like I tried to give it a try to use the copy my passport and even pulled it up on the website bc they said they could do that but then can't, which is cool... like I said.. rules are rules. It was the way when we said we are ready and they ran off and didn't come check on us until I got someone. They could have at least taken our meal order after learning we can't get a drink. 3 stars for the food. My husband said his burger tasted amazing and the steak was really delicious. The corn and potato cakes were very good. The low score is for the service! Service is not great. Let me say, I'm fine with rules and policies, it's just the way they immediately left when we said "no problem but we are ready to order" they both left immediately and ignored us. Just stop running off and then never come back until your coworker has to remind you, or get you. That is all.

Love the Old West atmosphere, friendly service, and excellent food. Great place for family celebrations.

Poor quality food, overcooked fish, over seasoned French fries, unfiltered water, serve yourself, would never go again

I wish I could say I had a better culinary experience at this wonderful restaurant. The environment is perfect for a steakhouse, I love everything about the style and design. The employees are extremely nice, the t-shirts they all wear are hilarious! It seems everyone has a good sense of humor, and a general kindness. Unfortunately, the food did not meet the same level as the environment and service. The cheese curds were standard, not bad, but nothing to write home about. Where I feel they seriously lacked, was the steak filet. They advertise it as the most tender steak they have, but if that's the case I can't imagine how tough the rest of their meats are. I ordered the filet at medium rare, which is even more optimal for tenderness, but unfortunately it didn't do much to help. The steak felt tough and chewy all around, the flavors were okay, but the texture really ruined it for me. Was it a decent meal? Yes it was. Am I grateful for the experience and large plate of food I was able to eat? Yes I am. Was it worth the money, in my opinion? No it was not. I hope others have had a better experience than I, but my takeaway? For a $50 plate, I could've made a significantly better steak at home and still had money leftover. Please don't let this deter you from giving them a try, it is only my opinion, and you may end up loving them!

What a really fun place! We went during the day so it wasn't packed, I can only imagine @ night or on the weekends! This Ruben Sammy was delicious, dripping in juice delicious. The cut fries were cooked to perfection & the tarter was superb (my hubs fav's condiment)!! People were sitting inside & outside & lots of kids playing around having a good ol' time! There were lots of misters so we enjoyed our Sammy outside under a mister- very comfy & it's 90 today!

The ambiance for both indoor and outdoor dining is that of a western saloon. It's nice and welcoming. The only thing is, inside it gets very loud! The service was good although our server was overwhelmed the night we last came. Our experience with the food and new higher prices left us disappointed. Sticker shock for a Sunday dinner without alcoholic beverages to be $250 for 6 people. Wow....

This place is amazing! My boyfriend and I made a trip here after seeing the reviews on yelp. Decided to give it a try, it did not disappoint. Food and drinks were normally priced. We had the NY steak. It was so tender and juicy, the flavor was amazing. Literally the best steak I've ever had. The sides are delicious as well. The place is half indoors/half outdoors. Outdoors they have misters to keep everyone cool. Band started at 7, they played really good music and people were up dancing. 10/10 experience.

The specials were great!!!! Anna and her kitchen crew out did themselves. The Lobster bites were so flavorful. The Tim Carr special with the rancher tips was so tender and so delicious. A must try for anyone that has had regular rancher tips. Bree the bartender's passion is craft cocktails and she did an amazing job on our beverages. Love that we can sit outside and enjoy the western atmosphere.

Walked in and the looks I received were quite unpleasant. I could tell being a black person that I was not welcome in that establishment. I was there for a total of 10 mins and I left.

The dining room menu & food is incredible. It is different than the bar menu so be sure to make time to enjoy the dining room and the great options available. The regular bar menu is very good, but it is not the same menu. Overall STF is a nice place with the perfect AZ atmosphere. The staff are all very friendly & helpful. It does get busy so plan your visit and get in early if possible

Always take anyone that comes from out of town to this place. Great country feel and a fun family atmosphere. Food is ok - drinks ok too but the atmosphere is awesome and fun. It's great when they have live music and the fire pits going.

Terrific food and excellent drinks. Space is at a premium so you may wind up eating at the bar. During warm weather there's plenty of outside seating.

Unique experience. More of an event type place. Pick a place to sit. Grab a menu on the way by and go to the window to order your food. Huge full bar. They do allow smoking outside on the "patio" area. Got crowded outside fast and a lot of people just stood around with their drinks. So if you get a high top table you get bumped in to. Priced high. 2 of us for $60 without drinks.

Everytime we come here the food has always been good. I like when it gets nicer out they have fire pits and music. Everyone is pretty friendly and attentive.

Love this place! Love their food!!! Plan for time and be patient especially Fri Sat night. A long wait to order your food but you can have cocktails while you're waiting but even with a long line to order your food, it's worth it! Their grilled Rib eye is our favorite! It's also a very patriotic place!! When we were there on a Friday night, the country band at 9 pm sang the Star Spangled Banner and everyone as they should took off their cowboy hats/regular hats, everyone there stood up with their hand over their heart and sang along! Now thats a patriotic place. More places should do that!! Plus their numerous fire pits they offer little packets of Graham cracker, chocolate bar and marshmallows so you can make schmores. Just such a fun place with great food!

We had a party in the private room. The food was great. Everyone commented on how good the steaks were. San Tan provides your party with your own private grill master. We love this place!

Great time with friends here tonight. We are passing through and they recommended we meet here for dinner and catch up chat. What a great place. The cowboy theme is well done with tons of decor to enjoy. Cozy but spacious. Enjoyable environment that is lively but we could still easily chat and hear each others. Out back is a huge area open to the sky with a lot of seating. Better yet, there was like music out there. Loved hearing it inside as we were in the line sight of the opening to the back area. The flat iron steak was a good 9 oz side. So tender and well seasoned. Med-rare as requested. The cream corn was very good. Asparagus as side option was a joy for me as I love it. However, there are many side options including a salad, loaded baked potato, and more.

This place is bad and I'm being generous. To start off the wait times were over a hour long and there were only three people there. The food there is at most mediocre. I ordered some barbecue wings and they were pretty bad.
