Shunsenwaraku Sanai – Osaka - a MICHELIN Guide Restaurant

"Takayuki Osanai’s guiding principle is to be creative without getting caught up in the formality of kaiseki. He adds richness to traditional dishes such as shiraae and steamed lotus root by garnishing them with vegetable or fruit mousse. The menu is a blend of Japanese and Western featuring a variety of tastes and the dishes are served in a non-traditional order. The speciality is ‘Fushimori’, featuring colourful delicacies from land and sea and living up to its name, which means ‘serving up the season’." - Michelin Inspector

This was the best dinner we had in Osaka. Each dish was delicately prepared blending flavors together, absolutely delicious! We sat at the counter to watch the chef carefully prepare each dish. The dinner was a total experience in taste and art!

Had such a wonderful kaiseki meal here. Each dish was so carefully crafted and full of flavours. Chefs and staff were so friendly making our entire kaiseki experience such a memorable one. Get the chef table to watch the chefs in action! Although their English speaking capability is limited, they have English menu and they would always interact with guests the best they can.

Food was great but sous chef seem a little clumsy and rough when platting food in front of customers sitting at the counter. Food items were dropped on the plate instead of carefully placed. A little discomforting for a fine dining Japanese restaurant. Head chef was very composed and skilled tho.

One of the best restaurants we visited during our Kansai trip!! Local restaurant with great seasonal food and we loved every dish! Unlike some other Micheline places, the visitors were mostly local too. Also pleasantly surprised one of the chefs were female which is very rare in Japanese Kaiseki restaurant👏🏼Would love to visit again!

This place was delicious. They don't speak English but their service was top notch. Finding the place was confusing. It's on the ground floor left hallway. Look at the picture acc the sign. The chef was happy to take a photo with his restaurant's sign.
