"The “Sawed Off” breakfast burrito at Sancho’s Tacos comes loaded with eggs, skillet potatoes, cheddar jack cheese, and bacon, sausage, chorizo, or boneless chicken breast. It’s about as heavy as a shotgun barrel, with a “lighter” option that includes mushrooms and artichoke hearts. Salsasabound at Sancho’s, ranging from extra spicy to a 5150 that’s sweet and spicy." - Sean Vukan

Sancho tacos have the best tacos in Huntington Beach. The chubby sauce is amazing. All of the tacos are great. The burritos are great. You can’t go wrong. If you’re afraid of clowns, you might not like the inside of the restaurant. We went there on a Thursday night. We had our food in about five minutes or less after ordering. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Google
Awesome burritos, quick service, outdoor seating, a little pricey - they've got a vegetarian burrito with asparagus and artichoke hearts which is pretty unique

Google
The food was great. Shrimp taco, OG tacos with chips and salsa. Delucious!!! The decor, the location, and the service were great. If you are in the area... you won't be disappointed.

Joel Galindo

Google
I love their breakfast burrito! I got chorizo and it was so good! I highly recommend it. Size us a decent size as well. The interior is designed pretty cool throughout the tables and walls. The exterior is nice as well! Came for the second time and they took about 45 minutes to make my food and I saw some other people get their food before me even though they came 10 minutes after me.

Google
Great food and great view. This place overlooks Huntington Beach and the pier, and you catch the sunsets in here. They offer tacos and burritos, and my personal favorite is the federale taco and the signature surf and turf burrito wet with green sauce. Must try breakfast burritos as well with the 5150 sauce for spicy kick or the chubbie for something sweet .

Google
I love this place. Anytime I come to Huntington to surf or hit the pier I love to come here and get the loaded fries. The one time that I dinned in, the owner came to my table and personaly thanked me and my party of 7. He noticed I was the only member of my group without a drink and brought me a drink for free. That was years ago and I keep coming back.

Google
Please clean up the bathroom! I so badly want to give this five stars because everything is amazing! We love the chips, salsa and queso. Every taco is delicious, nachos are amazing and so are the burritos. It’s impressive that they have multiple locations and are able to keep the same quality across the locations. Just really, gotta clean that bathroom.

Very cool spot, right next to the beach, great food and fun interior 🫡

Yelp
Damn this location has really perfected their establishment. The line was out the door when I arrived which is a good sign. I had ample time to review the menu to know exactly what I wanted by the time I reached the register. I ordered 3 tacos and the surf and turf was my favorite, but they were all delicious. As someone with meat aversions I appreciated that the steak was cut up small and there were no weird rubbery chunks. All the meat was flavorful, fresh and juicy. Bravo to the cooks here! I ordered with my dog in tow and I sat out on the patio and had no issues.

Yelp
All of this for just $16! The tacos are huge (the pictures don't do them justice). I tried the shrimp, fish, and beef tacos, and they were all fantastic! I'm so glad I stopped by while visiting OC. The staff, especially the cashier, were incredibly friendly and kind. I arrived pretty late, about half an hour before closing, and was still trying to figure out the menu. Instead of rushing me, the staff patiently offered recommendations, which I really appreciated. Great food and amazing service--I'll definitely be back!

Yelp
I'm sorry to say I was quite disappointed. If you are looking for Americanized tacos then this place might be good for you. Ordered asada taco and carnitas taco just to try. They flash fried the corn tortilla so that was already the first sign of disappointment for me. It made the tortilla greasy. The carnitas was not drained before putting meat on the tortilla so it just made the tortilla soggy and as soon as I took the first bite, all the juice trickled down my arm, disintegrated the tortilla and everything fell apart. You would think that meat that is that juicy would be delicious but it still lacked in flavor so it was not worth it. Whenever I get tacos I try just the meat by itself first and both meats lacked a bit of flavor. Both tacos had sour cream on top which is also something I'm not a fan of. I think I am just not the right audience for this place so I would not go back. We should've looked this place up before going. Honestly we were just walking around and trying random places.

Yelp
SANCHO's Tacos in Huntington Beach off PCH is fantastic--I was absolutely wowed! I live in Santa Monica and visit Huntington Beach often, so I've seen this corner many times. However, I was really surprised by the charming little plaza they've created, which apparently underwent a remodel back in 2013. The plaza includes Angry Owls Coffee and Açai, 602, and SANCHO's Tacos. The whole area has a vibrant California vibe that I loved. SANCHO's Tacos completely impressed me. The atmosphere is a perfect mix of California cholo and surf-beach culture. They've incorporated unique touches like skateboards in the bathroom, Red Bull skater graphics, and animated cholo-style artwork. It's unmistakably California, and it feels authentic and fun. The food was incredible. I tried three tacos--the OG Taco, the Chicken Taco, and the Carnitas--and every bite was fresh and delicious. The guacamole was outstanding, with a perfect balance of flavor and seasoning. The chips, made fresh in-house, were warm, thick (but not jawbreakers), and perfectly salted. They were absolute perfection. The green salsa, which I'd describe as mild-to-medium, was also a highlight--it had such a flavorful kick without being overwhelming. The customer service stood out as well. When I arrived, the cashier greeted me warmly and helped me navigate the menu, sharing her personal recommendations. She suggested the Federal Burrito for next time, which I'll definitely try--I was too full this time around! The ambience was fantastic: the coastal breeze blowing through, the intoxicating smell of grilled meat wafting in the air, and a great balance of indoor and outdoor seating. Plus, there's parking! On a Saturday night, that's almost unheard of, so it's a huge bonus. I highly recommend SANCHO's Tacos. Don't walk--run! Your taste buds will thank you.

Yelp
My friend and I came on a Tuesday morning and ordered at 11am, the hour when you can order both breakfast and lunch. He ordered a breakfast burrito along with some tacos and I ordered the Caliguey, which was $16. My burrito was quite flavorful, although a tad too salty, and honestly tiny for its price. If you've had burritos around SoCal, the ones here are delicious but definitely don't expect authenticity or value. I would come back and give it another try though!

Yelp
We have been going to the Newport Sanchos since at least 2015 & this weekend was the first time going to the original location in HB. The HB location is larger & close to the beach on PCH. There is a small lot to park in, but if the lot is full there is underground parking across the street as well. You do have to pay for parking in the underground lot. Customer service was great, our orders came out accurate & hot. The food was good per usual. The actual restaurant itself is the reason I am not sure I will be back to this location. As much as I understand this location is the OG, it's really run down & kind of gross to be honest. Some of the seating was falling apart & there was Raid sitting out near the booths (gross). The door for the walk in area for their refrigerated items was completely open. The restroom for the customers was super run down as well. As much as I love Sanchos, this location needs some TLC. I didn't feel comfortable dining there because everything was dirty & dingy.

Shawndy K.

Yelp
I was not expecting to like this spot that much but after trying one burrito I wanted another one. It was my last day in southern Cali and I wanted to order one just to take it home. Great spot and I ld definitely come here again.

Michael A.

Yelp
Sancho's tacos definitely has a great location. Views of the ocean from the corner of PCH and 6th street, can't beat that! The tacos were pretty good and they have the option to get them with flour tortillas for us carb counting weirdos. The food was really good and the meat seems to be pretty good quality I would definitely recommend giving them a try

Nadia P.

Yelp
The food. The view. The vibes. Immaculate, all of it. The tacos are definitely a little pricy but they are sooooooo good. Some of my favorite chips ever too! They are homemade and seasoned perfectly.

Brittany L.

Yelp
Food, environment and service was all great! I loved my breakfast burrito! I'd definitely go back.

Iliana F.

Yelp
Ordered the breakfast burrito with avocado. And never got the avocado in any of the halves. It's disappointing being charged and having to go mention it when I'm half way through the burrito that isn't not there. The outside patio is nice.

Chelsea B.

Yelp
Best carne asada fries I've ever had! They are called notcho fires here. The salsa was so good too spicy and sweet. Service was super nice and quick. I love the interior in here too. Very cool if you like rockabilly/punk. There is a good amount of parking in the back. Bathrooms were clean. A couple of tables inside and there is outside seating too. I would come here in a heart beat. I also like how close it is to the beach

Jevonah K.

Yelp
The location is stellar on pch and 6th street. Tacos are about $3.65 each and very tasty. I very much enjoyed the 51/50 sweet spicy sauce. The service was friendly and helpful. Very happy to have stopped here after visiting the beach.

Erik G.

Yelp
I'm very nostalgic about fish tacos in Huntington Beach as I came here for a family trip approximately 10 years ago and we ate fish tacos somewhere. This is my first time coming to Sancho's. It came highly recommended on Yelp. I thought I would give it a try. I asked for the OG Taco as I read on here that it was good taco. The meat was so flavorful. It was a very good taco. I also ordered a fish taco and a shrimp taco. They were all very delicious. This place makes some great tacos. I ordered 4 more to go. If I lived here, I'd go here at least once per a week.

Ethan P.

Yelp
This is my second time visiting and I found out that they have now have a parking lot(30 min) in the back which makes it a lot more convenient. I got the surf and turf burrito this time and was not disappointed. The shrimp portion was generous and the food was filling after a long day of surfing. Keep up the good work!

Kristin Leigh M.

Yelp
Yard bird tacos for the win! ) For so long I ordered the yard birds without the chubbie sauce (I'm really particular about sauces and such), but recently I gave them a try with it.. and oh my goodness, that chubbie sauce is tasty! Just the right mix of sweet and spice. Two tacos usually fills me up; three if I'm exceptionally starving or if I've just come from a run. There's quite a fair amount of seating inside; you can also sit on one of the handful of outdoor tables. Gets busy at peak times, so try to come in the off-time if you're in a rush. I personally don't love the chips or salsa, although I keep trying to because who doesn't usually love salsa? In addition to tacos, you there are also hearty burritos. Breakfast is served in the AM; lunch stars at 11:00. 2024: 15/100

Emmanuel V.

Yelp
I paid $13 for a "sawed-off" breakfast sausage burrito and it was mostly eggs. Hardly any sausage or potatoes. I could have made this myself at home for next to nothing. I asked if I could add chips and salsa to my order and she rudely interrupted me by saying "WE DONT SERVE LUNCH UNTIL 11AM" Yikes! My bad for not reading the sign but how was I supposed to know that ordering CHIPS and SALSA could only be ordered during their lunch time. Wtf?!? There are ways of letting customers know without having an attitude The 1 bathroom they have is fucken gross. Zero toilet seat covers or paper towels. What is the point of washing your hands if you have to touch a dirty ass door knob again? Also their "Chubbie" salsa is very sweet which I don't understand. Several of the salsas you could choose from were sweet. Who the hell wants sweet salsa in their tacos ? This was my first time coming here and I am very disappointed in the service, the food, and the price. I should have gone to Chronic Tacos instead. I will not be back

Ulla J.

Yelp
Sancho's tacos has always been steady and quality which is pretty awesome. Everything you order is bound to be great. The only thing I really really wish, is that they weren't so stingy with the salsas. I get it, the salsa's are bomb, so everybody wants it, but make more and offer more. The reason I seek out other similar restaurants is because other restaurants are Not stingy with their sauces. I typically go where there is a salsa bar. That to me tells me that the establishment wants me to enjoy my meal.

Sera G.

Yelp
These burritos are pretty good, the chicken had more of a bbq chard kind of taste. Also there's a ton of open spots right by the restaurant that all say "no Sancho's parking", but it's so weird because it's almost literally attached to the building. Overall service is super quick and they were very nice. Also there's a good amount of inside seating with a cute beach vibe.

Fred D.

Yelp
Tacos are the best, I don't think you could top it anywhere. Try the Pounder fish taco just amazing

Mike C.

Yelp
Very casual place for a quick bite.We both had a fish snd carnitas taco. Both were very good with fish a little spicier then sh liked but I thought spicier level was fine. Wall decorations a little wild. Guys making and serving food were friendly and efficient.

Rebecca R.

Yelp
Server was a little odd but this breakfast burrito was a slam dunk. Super casual ambiance, literally could show up in your pajamas and it would be chill. I'll be back for sure.

Catherine T.

Yelp
fried fish taco was so good, perfectly crispy and the tortilla it comes is amazing - reminds me of the tortillas they give you at chipotle! i also got the steak taco which was just ok. it is slightly sweet which threw me off a little bit. and the steak was a bit tough.

Belle L.

Yelp
Unfortunately didn't take a photo of my bomb ass breakfast burrito but holy cow was it amazing. I'm a huge sucker for a good breakfast burrito and this one was hefty. I got a sausage burrito for $12 and it was loaded, I barely finished half of the burrito (which was great to enjoy the next morn). Their homemade salsas also paired really well with the burrito. The tortilla was something be had - I don't know how they did it but it was one of the best tortillas I ever had. I am very eager to come back here and get me another breakfast burrito. There is a decent amount of outdoor seating with a beautiful view of the ocean.

Evette F.

Yelp
The fish taco and shrimp taco. DELISH Sauces lacked flavor tho. The tri tip taco and tri tip nacho was trash. Meat is sooooo chewy I'm sure that's not tri tip. The cheese on the nachos. It's HARD. It's not nacho cheese it's microwaved Mexican cheese blend. The meat inside is chewy too. I didn't even bother asking to reheat it. And it's topped with 20 pcs of onion and cilantro. No pico.

Megan V.

Yelp
I've had Sancho's Tacos on my must try list for the last few trips to Huntington Beach and it was worth the wait! It's super convenient, right across from the beach and within a block of the shops in downtown Huntington Beach. The line was a good indicator of the deliciousness, we waited about 15 minutes to order but once we ordered the food was ready within 5 minutes. The staff was friendly and were definitely busting it to keep up with the dinner rush. Although we sat in the outside area, I took a look around the dining area while waiting for my order. I love the quirky decor, including the demonic clown over one of the booths. We opted for a variety of tacos- OG (one without sour cream), Federale, Yard Bird and Shrimp. We also ordered the full size chips and salsa with an extra order of salsa verde and 51/50 salsa. These tacos transported me back to the beaches of Cabo and the hole in the wall taco shops. The meat was tender and full of flavor which was amplified by the salsas. The chips were crispy, salty and delicious! The salsa rojo and salsa verde were bright and delicious, but the star was the 51/50 salsa that had a sweet and spicy combo reminiscent of Thai spice These are the best tacos I've had outside of Mexico, seriously delicious! This is my new go-to every trip I take to Huntington Beach

Celine S.

Yelp
The inside is a little dirty, especially the sizing cups on the counter. If it was cleaner, this place would be perfect. The food is delicious and the chubby sauce is really good. I like their breakfast burritos and their breakfast tacos.

Chloe W.

Yelp
Love the tacos and salsa here. Frequently get the pounders carnal and a chicken quesadilla with chubby cause on the side. Always a win at sanchos you can't go wrong. Service is always chill, lots of teens working the counter and the fire chefs are all in the kitchen hard at work making the fire azzF food.

Hannah K.

Yelp
Great tacos nearby huntington beach. The tacos were all very tasty and flavorful. Sad that the taco price is getting higher and higher. But the portions were big, all of them were very tasty and would come back again when I visit the beach.

Annabella V.

Yelp
A great option for a quick bite in Downtown Huntington! The service was quick and friendly, and the food was really good! If you're not too hungry, I wouldn't go with the burrito unless you're prepared to take home some leftover. I will say that we walked down to the beach to eat because the inside wasn't too nice, but honestly preferred that anyway, so the location is still great! Overall would definitely go again!

Nancie M.

Yelp
All I can say if u want Mexican this is your go to place for cheap amazing quality food. Look no further the chips are nice thick chips. The carnitas is moist and flavorful. I had nachos and a taco for 2 of us and there was plenty of food because they pack the meat into every bite. I highly recommend for the price point same as Pedro's but not greasy and plenty of outdoor patio seating as well as inside seating.

Kaitlin H.

Yelp
This is the go-to Mexican restaurant right at Huntington Pier!!! They have a wide selection of amazing tacos, burritos, nachos, etc. Every time I've came, it never disappointed! It gets busy so the line can get a little long, but it's worth the wait and the customer service is always great. I like how they have indoor and outdoor seating. The indoor seating comes in clutch when the weather is not the best outside. The decor is super cool too with the walls painted with many motorcycle themed designs. The caliguey burrito was soo good especially with Verde sauce. It is the perfect portion and perfect taste. Their tacos are also always good and great that you can get as many or as little you want. They do have fountain drinks and refrigerated bottle drinks as well. A solid taco and burrito restaurant right in front of the beach and definitely a great recommendation to cure your hunger.

Gillian L.

Yelp
Great tacos, authentic and fresh. Can't get enough of them! I had carnitas and chicken and both were equally delicious.

Brandon M.

Yelp
The parking lot in front is currently under construction, but don't let that fool you. Sancho's Tacos is open for business and dishing out belly love all day. Stopped in last weekend to fill up on the good stuff. The menu has something for everyone, and the prices are fair considering the amount of food you get and the good service supplying it. I highly recommend the flounder pounder taco if you are into fish. Made to perfection leading you to want more. The yard bird taco is good too if you want to keep it easy going. I got their bean and cheese burrito as a "side" choice, along with their 4 piece churros. Prepare to eat heavy if you order that much food. I probably should have back off - but totally worth it.

Raquel I.

Yelp
Enjoyed the food, you can't beat good tacos by the beach. Loved the Mexican music playing in the restaurant not what I expected at HB definitely made my day. The service was fantastic, the young server was polite and brought it out to us. Keep up the great job everyone, I can't wait to visit again.

Dania A.

Yelp
How have we lived here our whole lives and not visited this magical place? After a nice evening summer walk, we headed here for dinner. It's such a cozy little spot with pretty overhead lights that gives it such a nice rustic touch with its outdoor seating. I didn't know that they also do have a small indoor seating area. The menu is surprisingly plentiful ranging from tacos to burritos and more. We ordered the skrimps tacos, the flaco taco, and the flounder pounder. They are average sized for the street tacos today but 1000 times better tasting than most tacos I've ever had! Wow! For someone really hungry you'll probably need at minimum 3 tacos to get full. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable (and kind of funny). And the food actually came out really quickly too. So all in all, I highly recommend this place and we'll surely be back!

Maddy S.

Yelp
HB staple. highly recommend trying this place out. lunch is my fav but i tried their breakfast burrito and it was also fire. if it had come crispy tots it would be even better. service is awesome always. indoor and outdoor seating too!

Shaina L.

Yelp
First time here and we ordered a Surf N Turf burrito w/ Guac and Fries. The burrito in itself was good with every ingredient but it did not have any flavor. We wish it was more flavorful to enjoy with every bite! I would come back and try other food to not base my review solely on one thing. We did pay $18 for this one burrito alone. The service is super quick! We got our food is less than 3 mins. Not much of a long wait. There is indoor dining, which had lots of different designs and there is also outdoor seating! Everybody was friendly and helpful. It is also right by the beach, so it would be a great place to stop by after!

Sonny V.

Yelp
Had the breakfast burrito on my first visit! Good food. The place is small with little parking and seating. There is seating inside and outside. If you are in HB, I recommend a visit!

Kent V.

Yelp
Great local spot in HB. Line can get long and seating can be limited on weekends, so be prepared to eat at the beach. Their breakfast tacos are huge $8.50. Got one with sausage and one with bacon. Their mild salsa is delicious. Tacos were filling and good. One and half is better for me vs 2 haha. Cool vibe!

Jason G.

Yelp
Got a breakfast burrito for takeout. It was excellent. A hearty way to start the day. Looks like they have great options for lunch and dinner. Cool design in the interior. Prompt service.

Samantha J.

Yelp
Great stop for a Friday night bite to eat! Found parking easily in their lot. There were a few people in line ahead of us but we were able to order quickly and the food came out fast! Our food was delicious, we can't wait to come back!

Gil C.

Yelp
Used to be our favorite, lately price went up and they ar getting skimpy on loading the tacos.... getting tinier and less filling .Gave the cook a bad look for making my tacos so thin! Guess I won't be back! ( Newport Beach, (used to be) my favorite place.... no longer!

Tiffany N.

Yelp
Went when the parking lot wasn't accessible, but it was fine because I got to park in the structure which was free for the first 15 minutes . Best tacos I've ever had. Ordered the OG steak tacos and the flounder pounder here. I didn't get home until almost an hour after I ordered them and they still tasted amazing. Free water cups. Soda fountain is accessible to customers so you can get refills and serve yourself. The price (average $4-6) per taco is worth it compared to some restaurants that charge $16 for two tacos. I will come here every time from now on.

Mike Z.

Yelp
Food is great, and the service is great. The vibe of location is definately different with very unique pictures all around the walls, but it is very creative in my opinion. No issues or complaints here. I've gotten the surf and turf nachos and the fish tacos before and both are to die for. Thanks Sanchos.

Tyler D.

Yelp
Sancho's is ALWAYS our go to whenever we are down by the beach. I love how the tortillas are slightly fried. Gives them a good crunch. Always tastes fresh. The atmosphere is always nice and service is great. Chips and salsa are a must! They do have some hotter salsas if you ask.

Kim R.

Yelp
Ate here for the first time on Sunday. It was excellent. The chips were crispy, crunchy perfection. They did not skimp on the cheese in the bean and cheese burrito and the surf and turf burrito was huge, filling and delicious! It was plenty big for my husband and I to share. (We ate about a third of the bean burrito then took the rest home).

Susan S.

Yelp
This place is right off PCH and basically a tiny little place but serves great tacos. It's not authentic Mexican food but they serve great tacos and burritos. We ordered the surf and turf burrito and a variety of tacos. Everything was very tasty. The one thing is that I wished they had more spicy salsa. Their most spicy salsa was rather mild.

Tracy T.

Yelp
The reviews were spot on here. Service was great, servers are all exceptional with their customer service and the food!!! The shrimp taco is the best I've ever had!
