Sanctuary

Down to Earth people that run the Sanctuary; very spacious and accommodating place! I've vended there two times now and both times were exceptionally fun! Easy to set up, easy communication with everybody, and amazing music! Highly recommend going!

Sanctuary is a real treat. They book fantastic bands and always have a rotating list of great beer on tap. The back room has a lot of early shows that are free, many of the same acts you'll pay a cover for in Cambridge or Somerville. The main room also has a great vibe and it's one of my favorite venues in the state

Very nice place to listen to some music, see a show or dance. The back bar is also really very nice. If there is something there you want to check out, go you won't be disappointed.

Sanctuary is a great addition to the metro west area and to Maynard. Great show there last night. Wish I had a better photo showing the space, a former church sanctuary. Quite beautiful.

This is such a wonderful location to have a wedding ceremony and location if you are looking for something unique and different. I can't wait to photography here again.

We had our wedding celebration party a year after our nuptials, due to Covid, at Sanctuary. They were the perfect spot and really captured the atmosphere we were looking for. A beautiful converted church music venue with a fabulous bar, and stage. The owner Will and all the staff are wonderfully attentive. It really was a hidden gem in ways, right in our town, and we had a really special night! - Dave and Emily

Saw a concert here. First time, street parking is an option, parking lot off the main drag. Very clean venue, seating was tight, but manageable. No food ordered, nor drink. Was there for the music and it didn't disappoint.

This is my favorite concert venue. They have a nice ballroom for larger musical acts. The speakeasy-style bar in the back is nice for a beer or for watching their smaller musical acts. The bathrooms are clean and spacious.

I.Love.This.Place. As you walk in, it is immediately obvious that the front is an excellent spot for performances, and the acoustics are going to be impressive. But it was empty and rather quiet the night I visited, which made my visit to the bar area in back even more enjoyable, as I got to spend quality time talking to the owners and bartender. You have a variety of seating options - tables, a lounge area, and of course at the bar. The featured cocktails are somewhat unique with interesting combinations of ingredients and complex finishes, and they likewise enjoy crafting a cocktail for you. I would definitely want to bring friends here and could easily stay here for an entire evening.

The Sanctuary is a truly wonderful venue. So many different types of events, big dance floor, and a bright cultural light in the suburbs. Love this place, they have my loyalty.

Saw a big band holiday performance here. Nice spot with a friendly crowd. Definitely make your way to the back bar, it's SO cozy and cool, my husband & I lingered for a while. Ne t time we'll pick up some takeout & make it dinner + a show.

Such a unique and beautiful spot! The owner and staff are so great and fun to chat with. Highly recommend this gem that also hosts amazing events!

Awesome venue! Large enough to get down but small enough to have a clear view of the stage with great acoustics! Super friendly staff, great bar with tasty drinks (Peachy Keen was sooo good!), clean bathrooms with plenty of stalls, nice and cool A/C and did I mention the staff ;-) ??! They really know how to do things right here. Can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!!!!

I rented the Santuary on a Sunday afternoon to celebrate my 60th birthday! What can I say they were GREAT! They connected my with the band I wanted to hire, gave me a nice list of caterers who had catered there in the past, arranged the room so we would have lots of dance space, kept an eye on food and drinks refilling as needed, checked in with me to see if there was anything I needed+++ Definite 5 star experience thank you Will&Liz for this treasure of an establishment and thanks to Jane, Will, Sue and the rest of your team for all the effort you put in to make the day so special for me and @90 of my friends and family!

I attended a concert at Sanctuary last Friday - Myanna and the All Stars. It was my first time at Sanctuary and I loved it! The owners have turned an old church into a beautiful entertainment venue. It is simply gorgeous. The "pew" area now seats the audience in informal tables and chairs. It has extremely high ceilings, lovely painted details, stained glass and terrific lighting. There is a small bar in the back that is truly lovely. And the restrooms are large and beautiful too! The owners walked around to make sure everyone was well cared for and enjoying themselves. They seem to really care! The drinks were fairly priced. And you can bring your own food. I saw subs, hors d'oeurves, desserts. What a nice feature! It is so great to have a local place to hear great music! I plan to go again and again! And Myanna was as great as always. Her musicians were absolutely outstanding. And the singer, Cassandra Mckenzie, made my jaw drop! What a voice! It was an all-around fabulous show!!!

My wife and I attended an AWESOME concert at Sanctuary last night! We can't wait to go back! From start to finish, the owners and staff blew us away with their service, friendliness, and willingness to go so far above and beyond! I will spare you all of the details, but it was crystal clear that the people behind this business care deeply about their patrons and will do everything within their power to support a positive experience. The venue is beautiful, the drinks were perfect (and perfectly priced), the music was moving, and all made for a wonderful night out!
