Sand in My Shoes Beach Loft

I have been coming to Thailand since 2007 and saw many places and resorts. I can confidently say that this is the favorite resort of my family and myself in all of Thailand. I visited the restaurant a lot before Covid and now we have been staying here for three years in a row, each time between 5-7 days. The best thing at this place is the staff which is always smiling, helpful and attentive. They helped us with every request we had, everything always worked out. They even organized a perfect birthday breakfast for my wife. Some people mentioned in their reviews that the staff is not helpful or unfriendly which makes me wonder if they even stayed at the same place. The restaurant offers a great selection of food and drinks and has a magnificent view over the ocean. The quality of the food is outstanding and way above the simple Thai restaurants in the village. It‘s quite logical then that prices are higher here. You pay for what you get and that also includes service and infrastructure. This is a boutique hotel and not designed for the masses. So if you want to safe as much money as possible this is probably not the right restaurant for you. While they don‘t have the biggest breakfast selection the amount and quality is great too, outstanding Italian Espresso! It can be ordered the day before but also spontaneously in the morning, they are absolutely flexible about it. Preordering is convenient if you want your breakfast to be ready on a specific time without waiting time if the place is busy or if you need to catch fairy. We always ordered in the morning at the table. The rooms are stylish and very cozy and they get cleaned every day. During the night you can hear the sound of the waves. While the furniture and equipment is not brand new anymore it is in good condition, bathrooms and toilets are very clean. One last word concerning the 10% service charge. This is absolutely common in Thailand, especially in more modern and upscale restaurants. The problem in my opinion is the mentality of Westerners who might still see Thailand as a country where everything should be cheap. No one complains about service charges in Europe, Australia or Northern America but somehow here it‘s a problem. It‘s ridiculous when people spend thousands of Euros/Dollars on flights but have a problem with paying a low amount for service to nice Thai people doing a good job and probably earn way less than their customers. We stayed at the hotel in June, during a quiet period – the beach was almost empty, making the experience especially peaceful and relaxing. The hotel is located on one of the most beautiful beaches in Ko Pha Ngan, right on the shoreline. The hospitality was warm and friendly, with a helpful and smiling staff. The rooms are basic but clean and comfortable – just what you need to enjoy the beach and surroundings. Right next to the hotel, there’s a small village with everything you need in Thailand – restaurants, convenience stores, fresh fruit stands, and that easygoing island vibe. Highly recommended for anyone looking for tranquility, great views, and an authentic Thai beach experience.

We had the most incredible stay at this resort! The staff was beyond amazing, always friendly, attentive, and ready to go above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Tae and the rest of the crew really made us feel like family. The resort has its own sunbeds and a restaurant right on the beach, which is absolutely amazing. You can relax on the beach and enjoy your meals with the stunning view of the sea—truly the perfect way to spend the day. The food at the restaurant was fantastic—delicious meals at a great price. The location is perfect, just a short walk from everything you could need. Plus, you can easily rent a scooter from them to explore the area at your own pace. The room was absolutely perfect—comfortable, clean, and beautifully decorated. The resort itself is a hidden gem, surrounded by lush trees and vibrant flowers that truly create a serene, vacation atmosphere. It's clear that the place is well taken care of. And best of all, the resort is right on the beach, making it so easy to enjoy the stunning views and relaxing by the sea. We stayed during New Year's, and the resort organized the most incredible celebration for us. The night was filled with great food, music, and thoughtful presents, making it an unforgettable experience. In a time when it seems like the island might soon be overtaken by big corporations, it’s so important to support these authentic, special places. This resort is the perfect example of that—charming, well-maintained, and full of character. We’ll definitely be back, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a true, laid-back getaway.

This review is for the restaurant. The view, atmosphere, music and attentive staff get 5 stars. However, the food and drinks fell short in my opinion. I expected something much better for the expensive price. The glass of Sauvignon blanc was horrible. The panang curry did not taste like 'authentic' thai flavour and I suspect it was not made from scratch and came from a jar or packet, pre-prepared then reheated.

Do your self a favor, don't book this hotel. The price is not worth it compared to what you will get. The staff is the worst in Thailand. Not helping to solve any of the issuse we had, not welcoming, not smiling, it looks like they forced to be there. Avoid the "partial sea veiw" suite - the name is misleading and there is no sea view. the door cannot completely be closed which leads to many mosquitoes in the room. The staff told us that it will be fixed day after day but have not rwlly done anything. The breakfast is really shame and more suitable for 1-2 star hotel.

Very lovingly designed. Fantastic service, they made every effort to ensure that we had a pleasant stay. There was even a free dinner on New Year's Eve and everyone got a present. I can recommend the hotel to anyone. It was very nice. You could always choose your breakfast and it was served right on the beach. Any requests for changes were always accommodated. I would come back anytime.

We loved it here. If you're looking for slick - identi-kit hotel experience,then it's not the place for you. If you're looking for a boutique experience with a bohemian flavour with the best beach-side spot then you can't get better. Rooms are compact but have a stylish flavour, the food in the restaurant was also the best we had in the whole of Nai Pan Noi. Service was great throughout our stay, Reception and waiting staff always ready with a smile. Things can slow down at busy times but nothing hey you're on holiday. The pool area although relatively small was also divine twinkling with lanterns and fringed by jungle-like planting. Would definitely return.

Such a lovely place small and intimate. With such a lovely staff in housekeeping at the bar and of course the manager Mr Tae . The all made our holiday complete. Thanks for everything
