Sandbar Sports Grill

Came into this place mid afternoon to get something to tie us over for dinner. I put it on my list based on the current reviews and it did not disappoint. It’s a very friendly atmosphere and definitely has a beach vibe. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. I ordered a blackened fish taco and it was phenomenon. We are only here for about a day and a half and I most certainly plan on going here again to get a few more.

This was our first night in Cocoa Beach. We found this little jewel about a half mile from our resort. It has a great atmosphere. There was indoor and outdoor seating. Live music. The staff was all very friendly. It was our waitress's birthday! The food was great. It was loud so don't think your going to have any cozy conversations! 😂 It's a great beach restaurant.

When you're visiting the historic Cocoa Beach area, you should stop in at the area famous "Sandbar Sports Grill." While waiting for some of the best and fresh, made to order wings, I had in the Cocoa Beach area, A P G had the pleasure of listening to the smooth and upbeat sounds of DJ Salt Shaker and also a local favorite DJ friend. I highly recomend the Sandbar Sports Grill for their very-friendly customer service, superb food menu, clean comfortable sports bar atmosphere. This Sports Grill bar has obtained my high A. P. During my recent visit to Sandbar Sports Grill in Cocoa Beach, I was really impressed with the overall vibe of the place. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Despite how busy it was, the service was absolutely top-notch. Our waitress was phenomenal—she knew the menu inside and out, gave great recommendations on drinks, and was incredibly quick and attentive throughout the night. We started off with a mix of appetizers. I ordered the tuna tacos, my wife went with the chicken wings, and my friend and his wife decided to try something adventurous—the fried alligator. The wings and alligator were decent, and the nachos we had on the side were pretty good as well. However, the tuna tacos fell short of expectations. The flavors just didn’t quite hit the mark for me. For our main course, we all decided to go for a mix of chicken and beef fajitas. Unfortunately, this was another letdown. The fajitas lacked the bold, sizzling flavors I was hoping for, and we just couldn’t enjoy them. When we mentioned it to our waitress, she was incredibly professional and understanding. Without hesitation, she brought it up to the manager, who personally came over to our table. The manager was very courteous and went above and beyond to make things right—he even took the fajitas off our bill, which was a really nice gesture considering we didn’t eat them. Even though the food wasn’t exactly what we hoped for, the exceptional service and fun atmosphere really made up for it. The staff's attentiveness and willingness to make things right left a lasting impression. Final Verdict: Food: ⭐⭐⭐ (Some dishes were good, but others missed the mark) Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Absolutely flawless—friendly, fast, and accommodating) Atmosphere: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (Lively, fun, and a great place to hang out) Would I come back? Yes, but more for the experience than the food. If they tweak a few things on the menu, this place could easily be a five-star spot all around.

Great beach bar vibe with very good food! Very busy but service was still good. Waitress held her own for sure and did a great job considering. Enjoyed everything from conch fritters, shrimp, crab legs, burrito and fries! With a little help from friends!

We didn't eat but had drinks and sang karaoke. Its the atmosphere you'd expect from a Flirida bar and restaurant. Its older looking but has a good outdoor and open indoor space. Servers are nice and responsive.

Definitely an experience on the beach...whne we went it was pretty busy but it honestly didn't take that long to be served. Drinks and food were great. I had the Bakini Remover with the Mahi Ruben mmmmm ssoooo ggoooodddd....my husband had the grilled fish sandwich which he loved as well. This is a must check out place

This is a great-looking beach bar/restaurant in a great location. My wife and I had lunch here a while back. I forget what she had but she loved it. I had the fish sandwich and it was mediocre. Way too much thick breading. Still, it was a beautiful day and we had a great time. We'll be back.

Great place to chill. Food is very good! Drinks are perfect, and the staff do a great job at keeping up with the crowd of people that will come and go. Park across the street in the paid for parking but keep your ticket with you. The restaurant will take the amount you pay for parking off your bill. I put in for 3 hours and it was like $7. If I come back again I'll definitely visit this restaurant/bar.

Fish tacos were laced with freshness and spiced perfectly. Beer was cold service was excellent in-spite being crowded. Definitely a place worth revisiting.

3 stars... Atmosphere 4 stars Service definitely a 3 stars. Food a generous 2 stars. I've had the tacos and they were less than average. Ordered the chips with queso and it was depressing. Cold cheese that tasted just like the Tostitos can. This place is the type of place where you come for drinks and after you are wasted you order something and anything tastes good. Not at the level of Long Doggers. By a mile!!!

Honestly my favorite hangout spot in Cocoa Beach. The food is affordable and delicious especially since it's in a tourist vacation town, it stays true to its local peeps of Cocoa Beach. Live music on the weekends especially and no matter how busy it gets, the service is always on point and never forget about you. Want to go for a walk on the beach after? It's only a fee yards away and you get to walk off some of your food and drinks. Only thing I would say is the parking. It's across the street and if you don't pay attention, you may miss the fact that you have to pay for parking before leaving your vehicle or it could get towed. There is a validitating system, but I have never looked into it. Lots of memories at this place for me in the last 10 years about and hope it's around for many many more.

Driving through town and we decided to stop at Sandbar because we remembered it was cute, lively, and served a full menu of food and drinks. (Last time we visited it was just for drinks.). It was a Thursday in March, around 3:00, and already very busy. It had a good mix of beach-goers,, locals, and tourists. The place is airy with open entrances on the street side and the beach side with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There are bumper stickers and cute beach-themed and bar signs everywhere. Fun to read! We seated ourselves and were quickly approached by a server. ( I believe her name was Peyton.). We ordered some cold beers, (extensive bar menu,) and perused the food menu. I ordered the Tostado Salad with chicken. It was absolutely delicious! Lots of fresh lettuce and tomato with black beans and grilled chicken cooked to perfection. I did order some cilantro-lime dressing which I was surprised they charged me $.75 for because the salad was a little dry without dressing, but the dressing added the perfect touch. The green tostado shell-bowl was really good too. My husband had the fish sandwich with French fries. He said that it was really tasty as well. It was very fresh and he particularly liked the jalapeño sauce that came with it. We visit Cocoa Beach occasionally; but drive through on our way to Daytona a few times a year. With a full bar, yummy food,, good service, and reasonable prices we will definitely be visiting the Sandbar restaurant more often.....highly recommend! Fun place!

It's a huge sports bar! Love this local joint where I could get my pina colada and hubby got a cold draft beer. You seat yourself and we got a great spot at the bar. The bartender was awesome and friendly. Great music too! Another cool thing about this place is that they have their own parking lot so you can pay for parking before you head over and you get the amount of the parking off your bill. We tried to see the Delta 4 rocket lift off towards the end of our outing there but the takeoff was delayed. If I was a local, this would be my fav spot!

Food & Service is Great! Stopped by with my family for lunch and they offer open seating and plenty of choices to choose from when ordering. We got the Steak Nachos, Onion Rings to start and drinks. A little expensive but worth the experience.

The drink & beer specials are the only reason I go. Tacos are bland. Quesadilla, no veggies. Literally just minimal protein & cheese. Again no flavor. I've given up on the food. Service is pretty attentive & friendly. The dj on Sunday is fun & the patrons are a good vibe. Last night there was a big roach crawling on the bar. Drinks & dancing (live music some nights) are only what I recommend.

We vacation in Cocoa every year and this is always on our list of places to stop. not only is it outside but still cool with the giant fan, but the food and drinks are great! They have a good mix of something for everyone- it's fresh and it's delicious. The drinks are very good. Service can be hit or miss- but it's never unbearable.

Great new renovation to a Satellite Beach restaurant. Good vibes, good drink specials, and friendly staff. Keep up the great work.

Food is 7/10 hot cook to order. Service is great considering how busy they are. It's loud on Saturday at 9 the band is live and performing. Specials everyday except Saturday.

My mother and I went to lunch at the Sandbar Sports Grill in the Satellite Beach location. The building is bright, artistic, and easy to spot. The patio has tables in the sun, a shaded patio, and an indoor option. The covered patio had fans and felt comfortable, but we opted for indoor air conditioning. The inside was also fun, with signs, a full bar, and televisions. The menu had a variety of options, including some healthy choices. We both ordered the Satty Beach Chopped Salad. It came in a large tortilla bowl with chicken, corn, green peppers, black beans, and feta cheese. It was both filling and delicious. Our server wore a nametag that said she was the manager on duty, which conveyed a sense of teamwork. She was extremely nice and informative. We never wanted for anything. Located directly across from the beach, the Sandbar also has trivia nights, daily specials, and a coastal vibe. They make a mean Hurricane 5 drink and have live music, if you are looking to let loose a bit.

Came in for a cool glass of wine after the beach and loved my time here. It's so cute and fun and the perfect dive bar on the beach. Lots of seating inside and out. Big screen tvs for sports and an amazing selection of food to choose from. Lots of parking and right next to the beach.

The place was very dirty and not really sure why there are above average rating for this place. The food was fair, the crazy environment was just too hectic with too many people drinking way too much. Was not even a spring break crowd. I would go somewhere else next time we are in the area.

Is this a kind of divey beach restaurant with slightly overpriced food? Sure. Is it also the perfect spot for your beach day, especially with kids? 100% yes. Met a girlfriend and her kids here for lunch before heading to the beach. We nabbed a picnic table outside that ended up being perfect for our large group that included 6 restless kiddos. The kids menu was pretty extensive and all of them loved their food. The waitress didn't bat an eye at our large group, which I appreciated. I got the mahi wrap w/ fries and it was perfect for a beach day-- filling but not heavy and the fries were slightly crispy and perfectly seasoned. Super yummy. I also got their tropicolada which was delicious and refreshing. There's a parking lot behind the restaurant sandwiched between beach access and the restaurant itself, so a perfect transition. I also spied access to the restaurant from our spot on the beach, so it's a perfect beachy experience. Can't wait to come back!!

Sand bar is my favorite locals hang out! Great vibes and always fun! Try the fish tacos! The best!

Nice place to sit outside and relax after a day on the beach food was good we had the fish dip (highly recommend) mahi wrap and Baja bowl all tasted great can't wait to come back. Service was good would recommend if you're in town give it a try.

Great food! I went with a large group on a Friday night and thought the wait was a little extra for food, it was very worth the wait. Waitress was super kind and accommodating. FYI: This is an open air bar/restaurant so be prepared for loud music, and a lot of sweating if you plan a summer visit.

GREAT VIBES GREAT FRY It is now my husband and my tradition to come stop for wings and a great vibe when vacationing on the beach. Staff members are always so friendly and attentive. JUST GO VISIT!!!!

Walk in and seat yourself. The menu is varied and the atmosphere is what you'd expect a beachside restaurant and bar. The live music was fantastic and the staff friendly. I absolutely loved their version of conch fritters. YUM. I also had the blackened fish sandwich. I wish I had taken a picture as it was huge, cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. The Sandbar is one of my goto restaurants when out this way.

Good service as the place is pretty big and spread out. We ate here twice as we like the variety of food on the menu. The seafood was fresh and cooked perfect and has their own special touch added to the seasoning. Wings and sandwiches were what you expect at a busy sports bar. Right next the beach unfortunately large plants along the road block the view. Nice place to relax, listen live music and eat some good food.

The baja fish tacos are amazing! Plenty of seating inside and outside, two bars, part dive bar part beach bar. I ordered takeout and it was done in less than five minutes. Loses a star because my wings had no sauce. Still satisfied with dinner!

We had so much fun at this place, I cannot recommend it enough!! They had a live band, great food, drinks, and service. I was especially impressed with the attentive staff and how quickly our food came out considering how crowded the place was. For food, I'd recommend the tacos, especially the fish and steak. For drinks, I'd recommend the hurricane fat 5!

Fantastic spot& has the NFL ticket! Patio has tons of fans to keep you cooler during the heat and humidity. We went for Sunday hoping we could find a place to watch all the NFL games. Solid score! People from all over the us & rooting for their teams. They had $2 coors light and miller light drafts. Suggest a koozie as it's warm so drink the fast or being a koozie! Steam shrimp was great and the fish tacos. Server was swamped but super fast. Will definitely revisit here especially to watch sports!

The night my daughter and I went was announced/marketed as an open jam night. We ordered food and were approached by the gentleman running the event. He stated it was first come first serve to jam with the band , said there were 2-3 people signed up ahead of my daughter, and he would call her up as soon as they had their turn. Three hours later, she still had not been called, meanwhile players filtered in who were obviously friends of the person running the event and were given the chance to play even though they had not waited at all.

Great drink specials!!!! Cool beach vibe and they validate pricing. Food is a little expensive but it's delicious and the portions are fair- after all this is a tourist spot! Also, best bartenders ever!!

Really great place for drinks!! For sure a place the locals go but the vibe was fun!! Our waitress was attentive and its walking distance along the beach to several hotels. Great spot will absolutely recommend.

I've been in cocoa beach for 6 weeks now for work and sandbar sports grill has been my favorite place! I can't Say enough, the vibe, food, service, all amazing. It's one of the few tiki type places close to the beach. The live music is always amazing. The food is always good and relatively cheap to eat and drink here. Besides all of that I keep coming back for the service the bar staff is hands down some of best I've ever seen. Always friendly, funny, sarcastic and sweet. Thank you to Dee, Haily, Erin , YO! , savannah, Heather, and Peyton. Thank you all for making a not so regular feel like a regular.

Food was delicious. Our server was great and on top of refills and taking our order. We look forward to going back.

Really enjoyed our fish tacos at the Sandbar. I ordered mine without the tortilla because I'm gluten free and they served it so nicely in little bowls. We ordered 3 tacos and it included a side .. probably too much food, but so delicious. We also indulged in a hurricane and a key lime pie. Yum! Efficient and friendly service @5 on a Monday. Cheers

This is an open bar/restaurant establishment. The atmosphere is very vibrant, with a laid-back feel. I really enjoyed searching the walls for all the eccentric decor along with the music. It is a seat yourself establishment with both inside and outdoor dining and drinking options. The service was very good for the busyness of the evening. Service staff were very friendly, attentive, and helpful. Our server gave perfect recommendations. The shrimp wrap was absolutely amazing. I hade the shrimp prepared blackened with a very tasty jalapeño sauce - not excessively spicy but nicely bold. Others in my party hade the tasty Caesar salad, and the taco bar which was also very good. Give this place a try, you will not be disappointed!

Zero stars. Walked in and me, my boyfriend, and his friend all got carded which of course is fine. I'm from RI and they're from MA. We are all over 21 and we were let in just fine. We get to the table and the server took all our ID's and accused them of being fake and left for at least 10 minutes. The manager comes back and my boyfriend's ID was completely split down the middle. It's literally a valid ID and now he's screwed for our trip. Thanks a lot guys. Never coming back here and you owe my man $50 for a new ID.

After hitting up Ron Jon's Surf Shop, what better place to visit. To the point, this place is great! I love the atmosphere, good live music, good food, service & drinks. I always get a Category 5 Hurricane...just one them move onto draft beer. I give a solid 4 stars & definitely recommend for an Enjoyable time. Have Fun!!

The atmosphere is great! The fish tacos are delicious and the place is well ventilated. They have great music playing and a wide variety of drinks. The servers are friendly and informative when it comes to the menu. Would definitely eat here again

When ISN'T sandbar a good idea?! I love this spot. Always good vibes. I got the Baja fish taco and a "side" of rice and beans (massive side!) which were fresh, delicious, and on point. I've never had anything I didn't like here!

The drinks are excellent. I recommend the pina colada's x3 and 2 beers. The single slice pepperoni pizza is fantastic and greasy, just as I like. The 1/2 pound steamed shrimp was triple D; delicious, delicious, delicious. I recommend wet towels. Oh yeah. Thanks Niccia.

Fun place, go downstairs to the beach bar have some good food and cold drinks and enjoy the ocean breeze.

The food was amazing! Service on point!! Wish we would have went there multiple times when we were in Cocoa Beach!!! Atmosphere was cool! I had the fish dip best ever and hubby had Tacos all delish!!!

Sunday night the police wanted my car moved because it was partially blocking sidewalk ... the nice owner at Sportsbar moved my car for me because the cop was just waiting for drunk me to move my car! Uber is our friend. thank you so much.

Been coming here for karaoke every Thursday night. No one is judgmental of others, and we've made a new acquaintance each time we've gone. The wings are amazing, and the fries are really good! I also love the margaritas.... Rachel has been our server every time and she never fails to take care of us! Kids are allowed to karaoke until 10 which makes this a super fun mom/daughter girl time!

An unfortunate visit. The servers were overwhelmed and maybe the kitchen was too. Thing is that it takes less time to cook a burger to medium-rare than well done. No manager came by, nor did my server offer to get one. I'm giving 2 stars due to having much better experiences previously.

Used to be a favorite when we lived in the area. Now you pay to park and the prices are ridiculous tourist trap beware. Paying for a drink and moving on. Band so loud you can't even hear your own voice.

Bottom Line: Decent prices, cold beer and literally steps from the beach. What more could you ask for..... Food. Good Food - that would be the other request. They've got that too! Lots of typical bar food. Some of it is just your regular bar food and then some of it is over the top good. Taco Tuesday is my favorite day. 1/2 off their tacos. Their Blackened Shrimp Tacos are delicious. They also have fish and chicken. Tacos. Seriously juicy wings! There's no greater disappointment than ordering wings and when they come out they are overcooked shriveled up pigeon size wings. Not here. Hot, plump and juicy every time. They also have daily specials. Check their website or scroll the pics here to see the different daily specials. There are 2 bars and lots of tables. On Taco Tuesday or busy weekends it's hard to get a spot. Also football game nights there's always a crowd. After 8:00 (I think) there's always a music too. Reggae night, karaoke night and lots of local bands. I have to say it is honestly my favorite beachside bar. Bottom Line: anyone says "Hey, wanna go to Sandbar?" I'm in!! Especially Tuesdays.

Great atmosphere and the category 5 drinks were bomb. Appetizer was delicious. I recommend the pizza and wings they will definitely fill you up.

Food was good, service was good. Live entertainment was good. The music after the live show was to loud, it gets crowded fast. So get there early. I will definitely return. Burger was good. Prices are right for the size.

Server Michelle was excellent but food I got wasn't so much. I usually order fish tacos but couple times ago tortillas was burnt snd couldn't believe they served me like that so I didn't go back for a while. Today I changed around and ordered cheese burger medium well but again it was so charred that It was dried and could not eat. What a disappointment.

Ok Taco Tuesday definitely worth the trip. Order the Baja and blackened fish or shrimp! So dang good :) Our server, Minell (I hope I spelled that right), was a sweetheart and attentive to our table. She suggested to also order the nachos to go with our tacos. Oh so good. Every day has a theme. This is a restaurant/bar atmosphere.
