Sandbox Beach Club

Spent a random Friday here by myself and loved every second of it.. the ambience, the food, the staff, everything was lovely and enjoyable. Reservations are highly recommended. I didnt have one but was ushered in after providing my details and because I was alone. I was told that the pool is complimentary as long as you place an order so I'd love to try it out in future!

Went there during off-season. So not November or December. Great service, great views. 3 stars because Dirty pillows was a no-no, visible stains on the fabric, etc…especially for off-season. Bathrooms were okay, again, could be better for an “upscale” place.

Sandbox is a beachside vibe. The atmosphere on weekdays is very different from weekends. Food is good. Staff is friendly. You can even go for a swim in the pool. Overall it’s a good place to visit when in Accra. And the fine dining sister restaurant Makosa is one of my favorites.

Nice place to chill out after whole week, good service and nice staff. Some sun shades are worn out. Dint stay till the late night, seems like a good place for party though.😄

The view over the beach is beautiful and definitely the highlight. The food was a letdown. I ordered a burger with fries. The burger was dry and tasteless, and the bread was also dry. The fries were too salty. Prices are high, which is normal for a beach spot, but the quality of the food didn’t match the setting. I enjoyed the view more than the restaurant itself.

Sandbox is quite lovely. The ambiance and wait staff was nice. The desert was quite tasty. Believe I had the apple pie. It was a quiet crowd. The beaches in Accra are eyesores. Wish they were pristine and not dirty. Takes away a bit from all these beautiful beach clubs. But no fault to them.

Visited to say goodbye to Accra and enjoy views of the Atlantic Ocean before an evening flight. Had only cocktails, no snacks. Very few people on the patio in the middle of the day, able to get our drinks within minutes of arriving. Listened to the waves and recounted the numerous ways we received and enjoyed Red Red. When we visited in January 2024, they didn't offer Red Red.

A lovely place for an escape when in Accra! The place is beautifully designed and will welcome you with an infinity pool and incredible beach views. The cocktails, music selection and drinks are a vibe. The food is on the pricier side (we’re talking London or Paris prices) and could use more attention to detail for the price range (i.e serving guests REAL potato fries and not frozen ones, just to state an example) Service was amazing and welcoming - big shout out to Samuel!
