Google
“Happiness begins from within- Here& Now” Sandcouch Cafe & Kitchen. Finally I’ve tried this cafe place and I like the place. Clean and you can stay there for a while. Not loud and people who works here are nice and friendly. Helpful too. 👍🏻 I enjoyed my Chorizo burrito 🌯 and my hibiscus 🌺 tea ☕️. For sure I’ll be coming back. They have healthy food too. Please support this cafe 👍🏻

Google
Delicious breakfast, three types of avocado toast. If you come early it is not super crowded. Gets more crowded as the day goes by. Food was really good and so was the coffee. Nice place to sit and relax and enjoy the start of the day.

Google
Bright and airy coffee shop with a modern vibe. We ordered the smoked salmon and avocado toast and it was the best ever. The Malibu breakfast bowl was super nice too. Iced grasshopper and matcha latte super nice. Highly recommend

Google
This is the cutest brunch spot in DTLA! So clean and a fair amount of seating, also has a huge breakfast and lunch menu. The pastry options are also endless and everything was delicious!! Coffee and matcha were fantastic as well.

Liane L.

Google
I love its avocado hummus toast!! It’s was so good and the environment was light and energetic. I saw lots of people coming for a coffee or a cup of yogurt after working out. A great spot to visit.

Google
Great vibe with clean, well presented food, an ideal spot for a simple lunch and coffee. Window side tables have outlets too, which is a big plus if you’re using a phone or laptop.

Google
Blueberry matcha was to die for!!!!! My power omelet was tasty as well. Great atmosphere to start your day and enjoy watching the hustle and bustle of downtown LA!

Miles K.

Google
Absolutely love Sandcouch! The aesthetics are cozy, and modern, making it a perfect spot to relax or get some work done. The vibes are amazing, a welcoming atmosphere and great background music. The food portions are very fair for the price, which is refreshing to see these days. Everything I ordered was well-prepared and delicious. Definitely a spot I’ll be visiting often in my future trips.

Yelp
I have ordered dine in, to go, and delivery. Food is always delicious, prepared and packaged great. My favorite thing on the menu is the avocado bacon croissant sandwich. Make sure to order it with a side of chipotle aioli sooooo good! Parking sucks but you'll find street parking and parking garage across the street if you are dining in.

Yelp
It's a night and day difference with how they've transformed the space from the previous tenant. The ambience is welcoming, extremely bright, clean and serene. The staff is super pleasant and the food all looks remarkable and taste excellent. Their menu is definitely geared towards breakfast and brunch options (although it still heavily leans towards breakfast type foods), and they close a little earlier in the afternoon around 4pm. It's downtown LA, so if you're driving here, there's plenty of paid parking nearby but if you're in the area, you should easily be able to take public transit or walk a couple blocks.

Yelp
Just under a year since SOUNDCOUCH first opened and on my first time here, I like the design (ie eat-with-a-view), clean vibes, appetizing menu etc. Nice and helpful staff but I have to say, the grilled chicken sandwich I ordered for $18? A letdown in most every way. Stiffish bread, too sweet grilled onion bacon jam, overcooked chicken that might've been frozen as it's chewy, my green salad side w honey-mustard dressing turned out to be nothing, merely arugula and drizzled over in lemony olive oil... After tax and tip, I dropped close to $25 here. Very disappointing.

Yelp
A nice and convenient cafe for an easy lunch stop. They offer an all-day breakfast menu, which is a plus. I ordered the salmon bowl to go; good quality, though on the pricier side. For takeout orders, it would be great if they included a bag and utensils without requesting one. It gets pretty busy around lunchtime, but there's plenty of seating available. I'd definitely go back to try their breakfast burrito and coffee.

Yelp
I've had mixed experiences. Some of their food and drinks are stellar and others are only OK. The scone my partner got for our pastry date was too dry for my taste. But my cinnamon roll was impeccable! The lamination and folds were perfect and the flavor was ideal. The salad I've had from a previous order was mediocre. But my partners love the mortadella sandwich. The space itself is large and open with a great corner location. But the high ceilings and all the sharp edges and clean surfaces make it kind of loud (bad for acoustics), so I recommend noise-cancelling headphones if you're there to focus on work. The team at the counter is always lovely.

Yelp
Sandcouch is a cute little cafe in downtown L.A. The space is bright and inviting with plenty of places to sit and enjoy your order: Their breakfast items were delightful, so much so that I ordered food there two days in a row when staying in the area. They have a full coffee bar, and fresh baked goods available as well. Definitely worth a visit!
google avatar

Mary P.

Yelp
It was super busy when I came in but everyone was nice and friendly. Food is typically pretty healthy but there's some baked goods to choose from. I was in and out but will sit down to eat next time I'm here. It's a cute new addition to the area and am excited to see something different.

Yelp
Cute little cafe. It is a nice place to hang out. I saw groups of friends sitting together, having their morning coffees. I like the minimalistic, clean design. I ordered a blueberry matcha latte and it was delicious! I also ordered a breakfast burrito. I love the crispy tater tots that were in the middle.
google avatar

Sharon C.

Yelp
What a lovely cafe across the street from Bottega Louie. Came here for breakfast since Bottega's kitchen wasn't open. The coffee was delicious, food was good. Favorite pastry was their chocolate cake. Moist, light, chocolate goodness. Everyone was friendly, food came out quickly.
google avatar

Justin A.

Yelp
Decided to give this cafe a visit after walking past it multiple times. Decided to order their machaca breakfast burrito and it was so freakin good. Lots of meat, melted cheese, and crispy tator tots inside. Comes with a side of delicious salsa. Service was excellent and loved the decor and vibe inside the restaurant. Pro tip: Sit by the window if you love to people watch. Will definitely come back!
google avatar

Yelp
Cute, bright, and airy cafe serving breakfast and lunch. The bacon breakfast burrito was tasty. Cashier was friendly. She told me a few things people liked such as mortadella sandwich & other items. Great addition to Downtown; if you come on a Saturday, make sure to go stop by the mini South Park farmers market down the street. The only thing I can think of is the seating could be more comfortable, like maybe add cushions? I like the music playing in the background which wasn't too loud.
google avatar

Tomaszek C.

Yelp
Restaurant ok. I found the coffee options good. Had the omelette. Seems like they have good baked goods but I tried none.
google avatar

Yelp
Stumbled upon this new coffee shop and cafe this morning after missing my stop on the metro. I walked in to take a look and ended up leaving with an americano and a blueberry lemon scone. Both were better quality than most coffeeshops in DTLA. The ambience is very inviting. I would like to come back for lunch or breakfast in the near future.

Yelp
Stopped by Sandcouch Cafe early in the morning to try something new, and I'm so glad I did! I ordered a small honey vanilla latte with whole milk, and it was perfect--not too sweet, just right. This café is located downtown, right on the corner, so it's easy to find. They also serve breakfast and lunch, which is great if you're looking for more than just coffee. I've noticed a lot of people come here to get work done in the afternoons, so it definitely has a nice, relaxed vibe. If you're looking to switch things up from your usual Starbucks or Dunkin', I'd definitely recommend checking this place out. I'll be back for sure!

Yelp
Just discovered my new go-to spot for a slow weekend morning. The airy, sunlit interiors make it feel like a hidden retreat in the middle of Downtown LA. I ordered their veggie omelette (look at that color!) loaded with fresh bell peppers, onions, and a generous sprinkle of cilantro on top -- served with hearty slices of multigrain toast. Simple, wholesome, but full of flavor. Coffee? Smooth and balanced. Staff? Super friendly without being overbearing. The whole place has that "Instagrammable but still cozy" energy that makes you want to linger with your laptop or catch up with friends. If you're into fresh, unfussy brunch with a little LA chic, Sandcouch Café is definitely worth a stop. #DTLAeats #SandcouchCafe #BrunchGoals

Yelp
Service is amazing every time. Coffee and food as so good. Jalapeño bagel is my favorite and their breakfast burrito. I also order a mocha from here. A perfect spot to get some work done in the heart of DTLA. A little noisy if you are coming to work, but bright and beautiful
google avatar

Nevaeh G.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast after loving the atmosphere when I walked by the window the day before. I got the avocado bacon bagel sandwich on a sesame bagel (they also had everything and plain options), and my boyfriend got the avocado bacon cheese croissant sandwich with tomato jam. I also ordered a vanilla matcha latte with whole milk. Everything was simple, tasty, and really satisfying. There was plenty of seating when we arrived, and the staff was actively cleaning tables, which I appreciated. I'd definitely come back!

Yelp
Ambiance: it's a spacious and trendy cafe place, high ceilings and comfortable seats, good place for quick bites Service: the cashier was nice and efficient, but either their manager or owner seems rude, when I found rotten leaves in their food and brought to his attention as a courtesy after I'm done eating and about to leave, he kept denying and saying it's not rotten, well you can't wake a person who is pretending to be asleep, overall it would have been a four star place, but one star off for ingredients not fresh, and another star off for the unprofessional attitude Food: plenty choices for breakfast and lunch, also there's pasty and coffee menu Grilled Pastrami Sandwich on Sourdough - ** Black Navel Pastrami, Swiss Cheese, Lettuce, Tomatoes, Sourdough, side of arugula salad, the pastrami meat was tasty although a bit salty, the lettuce was't fresh, so disappointing, obviously rotten from photos Price: moderate portions and slightly overpriced for the food quality, although it's understandable for downtown location

Yelp
Great place, quiet, clean and friendly. I enjoyed my chorizo burrito and hibiscus tea. The people who works there are nice and friendly. I recommend this place, healthy food as well. Please support this cafe

Yelp
Was looking to try a new breakfast spot/café and I'm so glad I ended up at Sandcouch Cafe--turns out it's the sister location to Basil & Cheese, which I love! They serve some of the best lattes around and have a great selection of breakfast and lunch items. My friend ordered the Siena wrap, and I had the bacon breakfast burrito--both were super tasty and satisfying. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, making it a great spot to sit and relax, catch up with a friend, or get a little work done. Definitely adding this place to my regular rotation!
google avatar

Yelp
Really cute space and speedy service. We ordered avocado hummus toast and avocado breakfast burrito. Both were great and got to the table in five minutes. I haven't heard the greatest things about the coffee so I skipped it but this place is awesome and has a little vibe. I'm sure great spot to bring your computer during the week too.
google avatar

Juan S.

Yelp
Service was great! Very attentive and friendly from all the young staff, since It's hard to get this now a days in any business. Food was tasty and cook to perfection with great combinations. Steak was very soft and it taste amazing. Love the tomato sauce for the eggs and you can also use it for the steak. Bacon in the sandwich is the thick cut kind, I personally love bacon so if you don't like this type of cut I suggest maybe substituting it for something else. Ambiance is cozy and mellow, there is plenty of room to seat on the side counter or facing the street. There seems to be a patio but now sure if they open it. Over all great experience and would be back to try other things in the menu!

Yelp
Came here during a trip to LA. Ordered the smoked salmon and avocado toast, which was colorful, large, and tasty. I liked the balance of the different flavors and textures, from the roasted tomato to the balsamic vinegar to the cream cheese, it all mixed very well. The service was quite slow. I waited longer than expected for this toast to arrive to my table. I tried some of my dining partners' bagel sandwiches, and they were all excellent. The ambiance is chic modern cafe. The restrooms situation was less than ideal: both had "Out of Order" signs, but when we asked, an employee said that one of them was working, if you used a code from your receipt.
google avatar

Mike K.

Yelp
The places atmosphere was definitely one of the better I have seen on my LA trip so far. The service in terms of politeness from the servers and all of their mannerisms towards customers was also a highlight of this place. For the downsides the pricing on a majority of their items both of my coffee and my bacon egg and cheese were very expensive and honestly lackluster. I'm not a very hard person to win their approval on BEC but this place didn't do it that well. For coffee I got a hot vanilla latte and it tasted like a regular coffee from your home made machines. Good place in general would recommend them to lower the prices a little.
google avatar

Karen T.

Yelp
We went for brunch, excited to try their menu. We ordered a variety of dishes, including pancakes, a chicken sandwich, a bacon breakfast burrito, and fries. Unfortunately, only the chicken sandwich really impressed us. The burrito didn't quite hit the mark, the bacon had an odd flavor and lacked crispiness, and the food wasn't even warm when it arrived. The fries were cold and hard, disappointing us further.

Yelp
Great service and great food ! I had Grilled Chicken Sandwich, Avocado and Burrata Toast, Crispy Chicken Toast, this was much more than expected. All of them, full of flavor and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it the perfect place to have casual friendly meeting with friends. The staff always had this enjoyable smile, and attentive. Definitely will be coming back to try other food, highly recommend this spot to anyone who are visiting LA or DTLA for brunch or lunch ! way to go !!

Yelp
A new cafe in DTLA that opened just last week I believe. The place is popping and it has a really clean look and vibe. The food looks really good and the drinks were also good! Their most popular drinks are blueberry matcha, honey vanilla latte, and their regular matcha. They have 16 and 24oz sizes and parking is available on the street! Lots of indoor seating as well
google avatar

Natasha M.

Yelp
Just two weeks ago, my friend Justin and I checked out the soft opening of Sand Couch, and we're so glad we did! This place is a fantastic addition to downtown at Seventh and Grand--it fills that need for a casual breakfast spot perfectly. We indulged in the pancakes topped with blueberry compote, which were delicious, and I can't recommend the chicken sandwich with bacon jam enough--it was absolutely my jam! The icing on the cake was running into some friends while we were there. It's such an LA thing to bump into familiar faces on a Sunday brunch outing! Overall, I highly recommend Sand Couch for a laid-back dining experience!

Yelp
I'm so glad to see new places like that in Downtown LA! Delicious healthy sandwiches, a fresh renovation and very engaged owner! I wish you continued success!

Yelp
We stopped in once again for a late lunch on a Sunday afternoon and were not disappointed!! The interior is bright and feels refreshing. Again, the food items are cooked fresh to order. Yummy. As good as I remembered!
google avatar

Yelp
Beautiful, spacious and super clean environment. I was traveling and wanted to try a few different places once but ended up at Sandcouch twice because the chai was perfect, the people (staff and customers) were friendly AND they're dog friendly. The bagel, egg and cheese sandwich had hot bacon - it definitely hadn't been sitting in a tray for hours or microwaved, like so many places do - and was very generous with the egg and cheese. Highly recommend - I didn't sit outside but it looked like a cute patio area as well.
google avatar

Deborah B.

Yelp
Good food - I had vegi breakfast burrito. Also had a latte which was also good. Very cute interior. Relaxed but upscale. Recommend if looking for a nicer / higher-end cafe experience. Service was friendly.
google avatar

Alexander C.

Yelp
Food is good. Cafe is decorated with ai art though which made me lose pretty much all my respect for them in a city of artists. Hire an artist to paint that mural.

James M.

Yelp
I live a block away and have been meaning to give Sandcouch a try. I had a friend visiting from Reno, and it is our tradition to try someplace new to me on a visit, so the timing was perfect. I did not know what to expect thematically, but it was very nice. It has a self-service aspect that helps reduce labor costs. You line up and place an order from an expansive menu, and then they bring your food to your table, which you claim before or after ordering. If you are a team, divide the work and have one member sit at your preferred table while the other orders and transacts for both of you. You bus your own plate to a bin when done. It is an airy, bright, happy atmosphere. The space is organized to maximize capacity, so there are a lot of different kinds of seating options. The tables are kept clean. When full, it can get a little loud, not Water Grill loud, but enough so that your conversation will take some attention. The quality of the food was very good. We had a bacon burrito, a protein-lover's plate (steak and eggs, effectively, with fresh greens, baby tomatoes, and avocado thrown in to guilt you away from purely carnivorous impulses--and toast for use with the eggs or avocado, whatever you prefer), and one 12 oz. coffee for which we paid a total of $44.15. It was all well prepared, which takes a little time, but you won't object. The atmosphere is conducive to lingering. It is a great way to start a weekend.

Yelp
Cute clean coffee shop if you like to people watch. This place is new yet seems to have a good amount of people every time I go in. Not really a fan of the black plastic lids. I ordered a warm Matcha I was pleased with it. Service was good my matcha was done pretty quickly. good amount of options to pick from wasn't really a fan of the avocado toast.
google avatar

Jack B.

Yelp
I saw this on my daily walks and figured I check out their matcha. It's definitely worth the stop. I ordered a matcha latte with whole milk. It was the perfect temperature and at first I thought it was too sweet but after a good amount of sips, it ended up being just right. Solid coffee spot with a nice and inviting interior. A place to pull up a laptop and work on whatever. I'd definitely come back here again to try their other menu items.
google avatar

Jenny S.

Yelp
This is my most favorite place, very friendly staff and delicious food , I tried their omelettes it's so good
google avatar

Lorena A.

Yelp
I've been trying matcha all over downtown LA and this place did not disappoint. I loved the decor inside. It was clean and pretty. They had a nice chandelier and big windows to see the city through. I ordered matcha with whole milk and it was just how I liked it; nice and sweet. The service was good and so was their omelette. Their cinnamon roll was ok. I wish it had more icing on it, but it was still good.

Logan H.

Yelp
Food was fantastic. Staff were very friendly. Ambiance is very friendly and warm. I would recommend food here 100% it's amazing.
google avatar

Justin S.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my experience at Sandcouch. Nice interior, quick service, and pretty solid food. I had a pastrami sandwich and fries. I felt like the sandwich needed mustard or some sauce on it, but it was still pretty good. The fries were also good, very well seasoned, but I'm more of a fan of thicker fries. That's just me though. The food was filling and I'm looking forward to coming back and trying something else.
google avatar

Cecilia C.

Yelp
Good was delicious and healthy, service was good and Ambiance was comfortable. They would of gotten a 5 star but we just had to wait for one of the plate. I believe they should of came out together but we had to remind them that we were still waiting for ONE of them.
google avatar

Betty L.

Yelp
I had the cardamom latte. It took awhile to get my drink since the place was quite busy when I was there. But I enjoyed my drink; I had it to go. I hope to dine there and try the seating area next time.
google avatar

Andrea V.

Yelp
Walking in DTLA wanting to grab a coffee after my shopping, lol. Saw this in the corner of the street and it looked so peaceful and neat to me. The cashier was friendly. Gave my information about the drinks. I dined in and it was super quick service. The matcha flavor was perfect. The chicken salad was simple but tasty and fresh. I even journaled a bit. Definitely will be passing by again.
google avatar

J A.

Yelp
Looooove this place! It's the best way to enjoy your breakfast and watch the city swirl past you. It's a beautiful location and has beautiful decor, very Scandinavian chic. Also the food is pretty great, a little pricey, but it's worth it. The service seemed a little slow, like they might be short staffed or something, but the quality was excellent.
google avatar

Astra M.

Yelp
My favorite cafe in DTLA! I always order the iced blueberry matcha latte. Definitely order the power omelet, fig jam prosciutto Italian sandwich, or crispy herbed fish (I'm a regular :) ). The cafe is spacious, has a good amount of outlets to work/study, and there's always good music playing. Super friendly staff as well!
google avatar

Ragna B.

Yelp
This place truly feels like home to me. I am here almost every weekend. The atmosphere is perfect. It is relaxed and filled with great music that makes it easy to focus. It is my go-to spot for getting work done on my laptop, and I always feel comfortable staying as long as I need. The coffee tastes so good and staff is always so friendly!
google avatar

Guile G.

Yelp
Got the Honey Cinnamon Latte and it was so good! The line to order was short but did have to wait some time to get my coffee. Overall though, pretty good. Will def return to try their sandwiches and pastries, everything looks so good. It's also really new inside, spacious, and really clean. Great place to study or work.
google avatar

Fa W.

Yelp
Personally my go-to place when I am in DTLA! I really enjoy The Grasshopper. Their matcha is also pretty nice and has unique flavors, although I would say it's on the sweeter side (I ask for half sweet and it is too sweet still). The food also tastes flavorful (albeit a bit pricey) and better than I would have expected for a coffee shop/cafe
