S&D Horseback Riding

We went horseback riding for the first time and we had our son who has Austim with us and he loved it. Everyone there was super helpful and friendly and our guide Oscar was super patient with us he made this family experience excellent. I highly recommend this place to anyone who would like to experience the outdoors on a horse. We are definitely going back soon. Thank you for an amazing experience that my family will cherish forever.

We had an amazing experience at S&D Horseback Riding! I brought my 10-year-old twins for a sunset trail ride, and it couldn’t have been better. The horses were so well-mannered and perfect for my beginner riders—gentle, calm, and easy to handle. Our trail guide was fantastic—super knowledgeable, kind, and made sure the girls felt safe and had fun the entire time. The trail was beautiful, and watching the sunset while riding was truly unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend for families and first-time riders!

Horse back riding was a great birthday activity. Our horses were Sarah and Melody. It's been a couple of years since we were on a horse but they were a delight and well trained. The trail was a great mixture of flats, inclines and declines, nothing they couldn't handle. Our host was great (sadly I didn't get her name) but she was amazing. My husband added their sweetheart package so we got to eat strawberries and sparkling cider by the new born horses. 5/5 recommend

Shannon is amazing! Rest of the staff members are very nice as well. Took my 5 yr old daughter, met all of the amazing animals in the petting zoo. Their petting zoo is still pretty new, go support them! Highly recommend giving S&D a shot! The one that won her heart, has got to be Cinnamon!

Beautiful First-Time Experience! My daughter and I had our very first horseback riding experience at S&D, and we couldn’t have asked for a better introduction. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and at ease. Our guide was incredibly kind, patient, and professional — she made sure we were comfortable, safe, and truly enjoying ourselves the entire time. She took the time to explain everything clearly and guided us with such calm and warmth that even as beginners, we felt confident and had so much fun. The horses were well cared for, gentle, and absolutely beautiful. It was a special bonding moment for me and my daughter that we’ll never forget. I highly recommend S&D to anyone — especially families or first-timers looking for a safe and memorable horseback riding adventure. We can’t wait to come back!

Horse riding was such a beautiful experience. It's perfect for couples and for families. I've always loved horses and was finally able to ride 1 for the 1st time. It was a little nerve wrecking at 1st thinking 1 wrong move can set them off, but they are well trained and know what to do, they pretty much just follow the guide, just as long as you follow their instructions. Once you see this, it's a smooth, relaxing, fun experience. Oscar was super nice setting us up, and Sophie, at her young age, did a great job as our guide. I think they offer a very reasonable price for a beautiful moment with your loved ones. Easy place to find. Definitely, planning to go back. Thanks for the Birthday voucher.

I love that all the horses are rescues! They are well cared for and well mannered horses. Calm, steady, and good-natured. My daughter and I went riding for her birthday. The guide did a great job introducing us to the horses and teaching us how to handle the horse as beginners. We rode through some trails and riverbed terrain in the afternoon. It was a good experience.

I have gone on several trail rides this year with S&D and have had a wonderful experience each time. I've taken my granddaughter for her 7th birthday, my brother who had never ridden before and joined some early morning rides as a solo. The guides clearly know and care for the horses as individuals and give a sense of their personalities (horseanalities?!) This month, August 2 & 10, Irene was our guide. She is a lifelong horsewoman with quality teaching skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor. Riding in the Hidden Valley open space trails provides an immersive sense of being far from city-life; a lovely vacation in an 1 or 2 hour package. Try it and see for yourself! My friends and I always the best time at Sunshine & Daydreams in Norco. This past weekend, we went on a 2 hour ride with Oscar as our guide. There were were 5 of us this time and we had a blast. Sunshine and Daydreams is the perfect little ranch for an amazing horse back riding experience! From the wonderful staff to the beautiful horses we always have a great time! The trail is beautiful and we have done both sunset and day rides both recommended! This place is wonderful definitely recommend 10/10

My first time going horseback riding and I would love to return. The track was not boring whatsoever and we went thru different turns, up hills, and down hills. My horse Bubbles was a delight so well behaved along with the rest of the horses. I was so nervous but with the help of our guide checking in on us every so often I felt confident maneuvering Bubbles. My boyfriend and I were celebrating our anniversary and after the trip I was surprised with 3 roses, 2 mini bottles of Apple Cider, and some chocolate along with some strawberries. Thank you Saidy for all of your hard work.

First time riding horses and was able to take my son along. We both had a great time. Everyone is extremely nice and helpful. They have lockers to put your things so no need to worry about losing anything on your ride. The horses are well trained and basically walk themselves. I will definitely come back again. The only thing I wish was different was anyone under 18 has to wear a helmet but I do understand that's done for safety and insurance purposes so I know their hands are tied with that rule. The whole experience made me wish I lived in a place I could have my own horse cause it was so much fun. Thank you for the memories made riding with my son on the 4th of July!

First time on this trail ride. No stranger to riding though we did have a first timer in our group. Everything from calling to book to our dismount was awesome!!! Our tour guide Irene was super sweet and attentive of everyone in our group! Everyone helped to match us with the right horse and we enjoyed our ride from beginning to end! I've been on a few different trail rides with other companies but the ease of booking, customer service, horses, trail, and overall experience is top notch here!!! Definitely coming back!!!

went for the 1 hour trail ride with my daughter. She's 20 and I'm trying to find ways to create experiences and spend time with her, while knowing at her age it's normal for her to spend a lot more time with friends. The trail ride was perfect . Great guide, instruction, beautiful horses, and the perfect length of time 1 hour.

Took my grandkids and we had a blast. Our trail guide was awesome. Horses are in good shape. Beautiful view. Absolutely will go again. Next time 2 hours. Hour wasn't enough time. We'll worth the money.

Such a fun ride- I had to come back twice! First, my husband and I's first trail ride. Then, I brought my mom here for Mother's Day! Both were such enjoyable rides and experiences. The guides are wonderful and made the ride such a fun experience with memories to last:)

My family had a great and an unforgettable day horse back riding. My seven year old was nervous but capable since she was given a pony perfect for her size and temperament named Bubbles while my nine year old had a gentle one named Sadie. I love my little Mandy whose white coat and red spots looked so impressive. My hubby has a solid dark brown male horse Donnie. All were well fed and healthy and strong. We had Ebony as our guide and teacher and she was patient, knowledgeable and with great calming positive energy that's great for us new riders. Other than the issue of the difficulty of reaching them, they made up for it when Sonja (owner) called me back and replied and got me on a discounted weekend deal for 3 riders on a time slot that worked out for us. We get to use different trails: uphill, downhill, roadside, horse trails, and etc. highly recommended!

Wrote this on google yesterday but wanted to post on here too so yelp users could see (: Had a really bad experience yesterday with my family as you can see in my review above and the owners reply to how we felt was extremely unprofessional and overall kinda proved my point with how we were feeling... Definitely go somewhere else if you're reading this.

It was so amazing, the site, the animals, the people that run this place. Everything is just so fantastic. I can't wait to come back.

This was a cool adventure. My uncle took me and my cousin here for horseback riding. I opted for a wagon ride last minute. They were accommodating towards us. Our ride lasted about 45 minutes. When you book your ride it has to be reserved online or by phone before you show up. There is a deposit required for your time slot and number of horses needed. You can't be late or they take your deposit. You can't reschedule or they take your deposit too. There are no refunds. I understand they are running a business. Rule of thumb if you can't get there don't schedule it until you know for sure, or you will lose money. My guide was very nice she was the owner. She was very passionate about horses and her livestock. I really enjoyed her stories and insight on the area. She offered me try fresh goat milk and an umbrella for the ride. Definitely recommend trying out her lessons or riding tours as a group. It was exciting. It looks like they had a petting zoo too. There is a small parking area in the back on site too.

Had a wonderful ride today with our guys Sophie. Me and my wife was enjoying her birthday gift going on a horseback trail ride. Hill horses was well managed and they're very gentle. Sophie provided a lot of information and answered all of our questions such a wonderful time and wonderful memories that they provided. Thank you can't wait to come back again

15 out of 10!!! Danielle and Brooke were excellent guides. Even added some excitement to our ride. Had a police chase happen right by up when riding and those horses handled the speeding cars like champs. If you're a beginner and worried about being thrown off...FEAR NOT! These horses are trained to perfection. Can't wait to come out again. Great date idea or just to enjoy some scenery! Thanks guys

I have been to this place multiple times and have loved each and every ride! The horses are well fed and cared for and the rides are enjoyable! It is very beginner friendly and a fun experience for the family! I highly recommend coming here!

I just love this place ! Deanna is an amazing guide and the horses are so sweet and well taken care of. Definitely recommend.

First of all, just because we got there 10 mins late they didn't give us the entire tour, instead of an hour they did 35 mins. Second, it's the first time in a horse back riding tour that they don't allow phones. The tour guide is supposed to take pictures for you with their personal phone and send it at the end of the tour and she sent it until the next day because we texted her and called couple of times. Lastly, the pictures and videos are pathetic, bad quality! Overall, we had a bad experience and didn't enjoyed the ride. Do not recommend this place!!!!!! 3/3/25 we were the last tour.

Very nice and professional staff. This was me and my grandson's 2nd ride. I am so happy he enjoyed it; he told me it was fun and he wants to go back. There's not much he likes to do so this is a winner. My grandson is on the spectrum, I informed our guide Sophia and she was very patient with him. I will be trying to take him once a month.

Growing up I loved the countryside and horses, so I decided to browse horse trail rides. Having great reviews, I decided to choose Sunshine & Daydreams. I am glad I did! It is in a nice area. The location is near a coffee shop, thrift store, & Boot Barn which I visited. There are also Saloons I passed by. Oscar was very knowledgeable, kind, and patient. He answered all my questions, gave me recommendations, and was patient with me when I had fallen behind during the trail ride. It was also nice to have pictures of me taken during the ride. I look forward to visiting again in the near future and also plan on taking my daughter here next year when she is old enough to ride. We took the sweetheart package for Valentine's Day, had the most magical ride and experience! The staff were friendly and made the whole experience so wonderful and fun! Horses were so calm and friendly and loved being loved on. They are also rescue horses so they are doing a great deed! Our guide took great pics of us and sent to us right away! I would definitely come back and recommend to all!

was turned down after speaking with one host and letting them know the remainder of our group was running behind she said no problem and we'll be ready when everyone arrives after 10minutes we went back and a different host asked us to come another day. we said we didn't mind riding half the time as they were closing. then he called the owner out who said she cannot accommodate we drove hours for a bday sunset ride they could have accommodated us and chose not to

My son and I went on a one hour horseback ride at Sunshine & Daydreams and it was magical! The property is easy to find and there is plenty of parking. You are greeted by goats, chickens, an adorable dog, and even a playful kitten. The owners and guides were WONDERFUL and so friendly. My horse and my son's horse were so gentle and sweet and easy to ride. Our guide was Ashley, and she was a blast to ride with. She loves horses and she loves her job, and it shows. She took us down into the Santa Ana River / nature preserve area for our ride, and I wanted it to never end! I am so thankful for such an amazing time here; I will be coming back with friends and family to ride again soon.

This was an amazing experience and would definitely do this again! Sunshine and Daydreams is an epic adventure through the city of norco back trails that enables you to be one with nature and the horses! Our guide Oscar was amazing! He truly gave us an experience we could never forget! Oscar has been riding horses his whole life and comes with loads of experience! I would highly recommend Oscar! S&D rescue all their horses, and they train them And nurse them back to health. A few look a little rough, but they assure you that, they are well taken care of and healthy. No experience is needed to ride, they show you everything:) Pricing is on their website as they have different packages but they are so accommodating and willing to make your day extra special! I will definitely be back as we had an amazing time! Felt like we were on the set of Yellowstone! I will definitely be back soon!

Thanks to Sharon, my ten-year-old nephew's Christmas surprise was ruined. My family, once a family of four, suddenly grew to a family of seven overnight. My brother and his wife were tragically killed by a wrong-way driver, and their three children have now become our children. Since the passing of his parents, my son has been asking for a dog, and Sharon promised to help make his dream come true. Sharon agreed to hold the last puppy she had listed for sale for $50. We sent her $60 via Zelle, and she assured us she would keep the puppy for my son's Christmas surprise. I called the ranch several times to confirm that the puppy would be available when we arrived. I also informed them that I'd pay in cash, after discovering that Sharon had given me a Zelle number that wasn't registered with zelle. I am deeply saddened that we live in such a cruel world. What happened to compassion and honesty? This has been a sad Christmas for Emmanuel. Thank you for reading, needed to vent!

Best experience riding horses since I was a child! Brought My daughter here for her 11th birthday and couldn't be any more blessed with the attention and support the entire crew showed to me and my family of 5. We had terrific horses that were calm for our beginning riders and the route was so majestic and serene! We already have been back since that first ride about a month ago and will definitely be back again this month, hopefully my baby girl will start taking lessons soon as well! Definitely recommend this ranch for anyone seeking a fun, relaxing, beautiful ride with good company guides. See you guys again soon!

Well run company and we enjoyed our ride. Horses were ready on time, staff were very friendly and helpful, and they took no-charge pictures during the ride. Now only if we could run the horses... Definitely a good experience and the Rodeo Burger around the corner was great too!

Our spring break sunset trail ride and campfire experience was awesome. Natalie did a great job, explaining the sights and area during our trail ride. She made sure we were riding correctly and holding our rains just right. She took awesome photos of us during our trail ride so we could be unplugged and focused on the ride. She was great at showing us all the parts of the farm, and sharing her knowledge of the different types of horses, during our walk around. We had a nice warm campfire, waiting for us when we got back. Where we got to roast our marshmallows, and just hang out for a bit.

Wife and I took our niece and nephew to ride this weekend. Our guide Oscar was absolutely amazing. He was really nice, informative, and took us on a really relaxing peaceful ride. We all felt so lucky to have such a great guide. Our niece and nephew said it was an experience that they would remember for the rest of their lives.

We had a great time at S&D! Our guide Hailey was amazing! She was very thorough giving detailed instructions and advice and was super friendly! The trails were beautiful and well maintained. Our horses were also great! There is a trail that takes you around the perimeter of the ranch so you can see all of the animals which was fun. We will definitely return soon for another ride.

Found sunshine and daydreams through searching and the trail was beautiful and it was a beautiful place in Norco California aka Horsetown. The people their were very knowledgeable and the guide made sure everyone was steering their horse right. Everything green and blooming !! Definitely would recommend I booked ahead of time. I went with one other person and they enjoyed the time too.

Took my Girlfriend for the Valentines special, the staff was amazing, very friendly and welcoming. Our guild Ebony was great, very friendly and knowledgeable took the time to make us feel safe and truly loved the animals. it was an overall great experience. 10/10

The ride and horses are beautiful. I enjoyed everything, very nice trail. Only issue was rude staff. One of the ride leaders Ebony, was rude and blunt toward riders and me and my family were a little confused on why she was like that. Also she had our ride cut short because she had to use the bathroom so we did not have the full hour but instead t 35 minutes. Please work on your staff and customer service.

We brought our kids, 2 and 4 to their little petting zoo here. Shannon was so amazing and kind with the kids. They loved petting the chicks, bunnies, pig, guinea pig, calf and riding the ponies. We are totally bringing our kids back.

I tried this place because I love horseback riding. Here's my review. The place itself is pretty big. A lot bigger than it looks from the outside. They have a good variety of animals to see. I say see because you're not allowed to interact with them. They are all behind a fence. You can pet a few if they come up to the gate. This wasn't a big deal cause I love seeing animals no matter what. What I did take issue with is the amount of flies all over the animals. I felt horrible for them. I've never seen so many flies in one place. The animals were covered in them. And worse, maybe one or two of the horses had a face cover to protect their eyes. Some of them were literally crying. I admit, I'm not a farmer or a rancher so I don't know the specifics of how you protect your animals from pests. But I know I've been to many ranches, farms, zoos, and county fairs and I've never seen anything like that. Then there was the horse ride. They gave me the biggest horse they had that wasn't a Clydesdale. He was gentle at first so no big deal. The trail was nice for the most part. There was a lot of trash and graffiti along the way. I do not hold this against the company. I don't blame them for the ignorance of others. However, there was an incident. Apparently horses are scared of plastic bags. I never heard this before. There were a couple of plastic bags on the ground and all the horses got spooked. My horse jumped up and tossed me off. Then took off running. He was a big horse so it was a painful fall. The trail guide let me get on her horse and we walked back toward the stable. Along the way, a woman who I assume was the owner or a manager of some sort met us on the trail. She had my horse with her. She showed very little concern about my well being. She asked me what happened and made some comment about me zigging when I should have zagged. She gave me the impression she was blaming me for the horse getting spooked and throwing me off. Then she starts counseling the trail guide in front of everyone cause one of the other riders was chewing gum. I have 150 people working for me so I know about leadership and management. You never counsel or correct an employee in front of customers. It's bad taste and it kills the morale for the customers and the employees. I paid for a barn fire dinner after the ride. I just left as soon as we got back. The trail guides were awesome. When I was thrown off, our guide ran right up to me to check on me and make sure I was ok. She was a total professional and did what she could. The lady who was the owner/manager, was rude and made the situation worse. I'm giving it 2 stars. One for the animals, and one for the trail guides.

The best part about riding horses here is the money you spend goes to the horses they rescued. These are rescued horses, and I had an amazing venture riding around the hills of Norco. Have cute farm animals here too.
