S&S CHEESESTEAKS ( Best Philly Cheesesteaks and Burgers)

We were in Carrollton for an appointment and decided to try S&S as quick stop before leaving. So glad we did —try the Signature Philly cheesesteak and zinger burger. Really enjoyed the Philly but the zinger burger was just too saucy for our taste. There was no decent way to eat it without dripping all over yourself. Taste 💯 and would definitely recommend.

Tried out S&S Cheesesteaks recently since it’s super close to our house now — and wow, what a find! One of the best parts? Everything is halal, which makes it an even better option for us. We ordered the Flamin’ Hot Cheesesteak, the Flamin’ Hot Zinger, and the BBQ Cheesesteak — and every one of them was 🔥. Each sandwich was packed with meat — seriously generous portions — and the flavor combos were bold and unique. The Flamin’ Hot ones had the perfect kick with crushed Cheetos adding a nice crunch, while the BBQ Cheesesteak had that sweet, smoky, cheesy goodness that just hits right. The staff was really friendly, and the place has some nice vibes — clean, casual, and welcoming. It’s the kind of spot you’re glad opened up nearby because you know you’ll be coming back often. If you’re in the Carrollton area and want something halal, flavorful, and filling, give S&S Cheesesteaks a try. You won’t be disappointed.

The zinger burgers and signature Philly cheesteak are amazing!! Even their loaded fries are incredible. Their Nutella banana milkshake wasn’t good so I wouldn’t recommend that. Despite sharing our dissatisfaction, we were not given a replacement or refund, just an extra spoon of Nutella to add to the milkshake. I’d rather order out than dine in though. The place isn’t very clean, restrooms were filthy and baby high seat was broken and sticky. Again, the food is a must try but I’d rather have it as a takeout than dine in.

Sands cheesesteaks is one of our favorite resturants to eat burgers and subs. Its one of those resturants that we literally have cravings for. However my last experience was a little upsetting. Two new workers, both men had no idea whats going on, the sub they made was soo poor quality specially for rhe name it holds and they didnt have cash for return for payment. I feel the second location opening has taken away the care from this location. We love this resturant and would still recommend it to all however due to my last experience i didnt five it a 5 star for all

Absolutely loved it! The workers were so friendly. I tried the zinger burger and spicy cheesesteak…. Both 10/10!! The inside is quite spacious and love the little games they have on the table. Definitely recommend this spot! Truly is the best cheesesteak!

Not the first time we’ve been here. I have to say the quality just isn’t the same! And not in a good way! Waited for our order as expected. But given that I would have expected fresh fries. These were very soggy and tasted old! Had to throw them into my air fryer once I got home! Buns were shriveled like they had been wet once before. This could have been due to them wrapping them in foil to keep them hot. This could have created condensation and created the dampness. Spent over $50 with the tip and truly don’t feel like it was worth it!

Great service and great Burgers!! We needed 12 burgers for Christmas day and that too everything separately, as we wanted to assemble the whole burger at home. They accepted our order on Christmas eve after 10pm and kept everything ready by the promised time. We all enjoyed the burgers and they tasted really great! Would definitely recommend them. Special shout out to Ariel who patiently took our order late last night and also Saleh who I believe is the owner. Thank you again!

We ordered online to get some cheesesteaks and fries. Well to our surprise when we got there, the orders didn’t come through. I don’t know if their online ordering system was down or what. Instead of listening to us, the guy at the counter didn’t think that we actually ordered. We physically showed him our order receipts on the email and he still seemed iffy on fixing our order. Once he did agree to fix our food it took 30-45 minutes. Overall, the food was okay and the atmosphere of the actual place was chill. *Visited on 06/13/24*

Love their zinger burger- haven't found any better elsewhere. They have good deals too. We usually do takeaways but they do have decent seating area with some nice music. They also have quick service time.

1st impression. Not clean...but had already ordered and kitchen from what I could see is ok. Price is WAY more than Fred's Downtown Philly but it's Sunday and Fred's is closed. Floor is crazy sticky and Salt Shakers are filthy and sticky too. GROSS. Tables...sticky. GROSS... chairs...STICKY....GROSS! let's hope the food is good...writing this in real time... FOOD: it's been 20 mins and STILL not ready. Avg cheesesteak takes about 10 mins to make and it's dead here I'm the only one here.... FINALLY (27mins later!): def smaller than Fred's (the current standard) and def not a philly cheesteak roll (Amoroso or nothin) Bread is meh...steak lacks seasoning...says comes with shrooms but barely see any. Overall the sandwich gets a 3 outta 10. Combine with the sticky floors and dirtiness....this gets a Certified Gordo THUMBS DOWN.

good place when I want a halal burger in Carrollton Not sure why there's so many bad reviews about the cleanliness because when I went it was clean (I went on a Wednesday around lunchtime). Maybe the management saw these reviews and decided to get on top of the cleanliness? S&S is located in a complex with some other stores. It looks like a small space from the outside, but it has some big picnic tables and regular tables inside. We got the spicy pepper cheesesteak, chef special burger, and the Philly cheese fries/tots. Spicy pepper cheesesteak was recommended by the owner and I'm glad I went with that. It wasn't an overwhelming spice, but added a nice (slight) kick to the sandwich. I did feel like it had a little too much mayo. The chef special burger was heavy and delicious. Emphasis on the heavy because I could only finish half of it, had to save the later half. It was meaty, cheesy, and spicy from the jalapeños. Between the fries and the tots, I liked the Philly tots more. Tots added a good crunchy texture with the melted cheese and meats. Overall, I'd come back here to try another one of their burgers if I'm in the area

S&S The good: * Huge portions for the price, good value * Burger was decent * Cheesesteak was decent * Everything came out hot * Overall, food is good and tasty but nothing amazing It is what it is: * They play low-for music the whole time? Super low energy place * All the sides are frozen - tots and onion rings, you can tell were from the freezer bag * Styrofoam plates from a bad picnic The bad: * The place is filthy - all the tables were dirty, it looks like the floor hasn't been mopped or cleaned in a while, and the bathroom was unusable * The bathroom doesn't close all the way and doesn't lock - I walked in on someone * They were out of fries and sauces? The sauce try that was there was dirty * I felt gross just eating here with how dirty it was and I got there an hour after they opened * When I told the guy about the dirtiness, he said he was the only one and then proceeded to go back on his phone * They don't have the menu items that play on the menu screen - a customer asked for a pizza cheesesteak and the employee didn't know what he was talking about. The customer had to show the employee where the pizza cheesesteak was playing on the menu screen. There is SO much better food in Carrollton - don't come here!

I stopped in on S&S CheeseSteaks on a Sunday for a later dinner and was greeted by a clean, slightly stylish, not overcrowded establishment. I ordered the 8" BBQ Cheesesteak (~$13) and the tang of the bbq sauce was a nice complement to the usual flavor profile. I'm not sure I tasted much of the bbq chips listed on the menu. Maybe they forgot them or they had just softened up since I took my sandwich to go, but even so everything else was spot on and made for a great cheesesteak. Honestly, S&S CheeseSteaks is serving up one of the better cheesesteaks I've ever had in DFW. The only mark against the place was despite there only being a few other patrons in the restaurant it still took about 20 minutes to get my order. It seems like it might be best to call ahead if you are in a hurry. I really enjoyed my sandwich here and look forward to trying more from the menu in the future.

There's not much to rave about here, a very average cheesesteak with mediocre service to top it off. I was disappointed. Very meh

Had the 8" signature Philly cheesesteak. Was awesome, good flavor, lots of steak in there. Hot off the grill too. Service was also great. Same guy taking our order was the also on the grill and checking in on us while we were eating. Will come back.

They have bugs!. And it's dirty and sticky floors. Mop water smell when u walk in. Don't go here unless u want poor service. Don't bother asking for a manager. He's never around..

Didn't seem very busy for a lunch, but food was great had the 6" signature Philly and was a great blend of peppers, Swiss and steak, fries were well seasoned and good serving. Was better than I expected.. I've had lots of Philly steaks from Sal's to Gino's and everything in between, would give this place a 9/10!

Not worth it at all! Don't waste your time or money! The food isn't bad but with the overall experience I'd never go back ever or recommend it to anybody. -the tables were sticky -flies starting surrounds us when the food came out -the didn't have any foundation drinks -messed your order up Our mistake was eating here after not seeing a soul in there when walking in

Expensive and subpar quality. First time customer trying the "steak and cheese" cheesesteak and was sorely disappointed before I even took the first bite. Meat was nonexistent and flavor nothing to write home about. I was hoping the great reviews would steer me in the right direction, however, there seems to be consistency issues here in how food is prepared. Attached photo is evidence of how little meat there was. Will not be returning. Please go to Fred's Downtown Philly instead for a good Philly style cheesesteak. For reference, I have tried cheesesteaks from multiple places in Philly (frequent prior business travel) so I have a pretty good idea on how cheesesteaks should look and taste.

My husband found this little gem by just driving around. We stopped to grab some lunch here. The inside has a huge mural of a Philly cheesesteak on the wall. I got the Philly cheesesteak fries and he got the Philly cheesesteak sandwich with tots. My Philly fries were perfectly seasoned with just the right amount of everything on it. The food was delicious and the customer service was great. I left one star off because the tables were dirty. We were going to eat inside but my husband did not like that the tables weren't clean. Great place overall.

This is a cool spot. Lots of cheesesteak options including a vegan option. The food is made to order and is served fresh. The decor is cool and artsy. Great staff. Good food. Cool vibes.

Ok.‍. Had a bbq cheesesteak combo. Was it the best?no Was it the worst? no Will I be back?no The Ac wasn't working. The bathroom was stinky with cups and bottles everywhere.1st. A new location of a tried and trialed family owned restaurant has resurfaced better than the previous attempt, yet it still lacks in the same qualities, notably to a smaller degree. An unfortunate illustration of a lesson heard, but not a lesson learned. The owner/owner's son was readily available, polite and prepared for business. Ready to step the extra mile for the customer, it's the service you'll come to not expect, but to appreciate. However, the staff themselves proved to be strikingly untrained and unprepared for a customer service position. I didn't make the order myself, but seeing it was quite enough. The food here remains similarly standard (relative to the previous location) in both its taste and texture, satisfying neither. The Zinger was far from expected, with none of the crunch, spice or richness you'd find here or in South Asia. The Chef's special was an uncoordinated mess of texture and flavors which overshadowed the patty. The famous cheesesteak was also average, with decently well cooked beef, but not enough cheese, peppers or seasoning to really bring it together. The tater tots just needed some kind of seasoning either out of the fryer or a special spice mix. Overall, everything you can order here, which is rather limited, tastes about as you would expect, except for a little sadder. The last time this location came to Carrollton, I tried it many times before coming to a similarly forlorn conclusion. It just doesn't seem like they're suited to the larger scale and expectations of the area and operating a full restaurant. I wish them the best, but I won't be returning for a while. For others, I'd say give them a chance and see if what they offer is more your style, or just more convenient

Man I was so happy to have come here! I had heard good things and it did not disappoint! I got their cheesesteak and it was 10/10 Fries ...Amazing! 10/10 Cheeseburger - not so much. It was a frozen patty and it was cooked to burnt and the bun was super cold and uncooked. I'm gonna have to give it a 3/10 but thats not a part of the overall review because their cheesesteaks were Def worth the drive!

Impressive! I was shocked how huge the restaurant was on the inside! And the tables are soooooo far apart, plenty of room to social distance. Now for the food, I tried the steak philly cheesesteak with fries. And omg those fries are seasoned with such an amazing seasoning! Sooooo good. I had been meaning to try this place for awhile and I was very impressed. I will definitely be back to try the burgers, I heard those are good too! Great, friendly, and accommodating service.

Went there for lunch last week on a Thursday. Truck didn't show up yet. They were out of the cheesesteak rolls, forks, mozzarella cheese, etc. garbage can over grossly overflowing, tables and floor were filthy. Make sandwich was served on a bland bun and the meat and cheese were at most just ok. Will not be going back.

National Cheesesteak Day and this local spot didn't disappoint last night. The owners are incredibly friendly, murals are noteworthy and the food......amazing. I know it's a cheesesteak place, but you have to try their chicken sandwich!!!!! Out of this world!

Fully loaded Philly, extra cheesy fries with the tastiest almost aioli on top. Woke up feeling a bit rough today after a night out, and this was the perfect meal to make my day better. Taking an order to go for my parents, Texas size is a two inch bigger bun with double the ingredients inside. Will be back!

Workind in Carrollton today and stumbled upon this joint. Can't resist a Cheesesteak. And we have a winner here. The bread sets it apart. Can't wait to work in Carrollton again soon.

We got the Philly Cheesesteak Fries, Signature Philly Cheesesteak, and Texas Burger. The food was all fresh and tasted amazing. The serving size was large and filling. Our favorite were the Philly cheesesteak fries, which are a must try. The Texas burger was also amazing. Everything was grilled to perfection. Can't wait to go back! 5/5

The zinger was extremely good. Will definitely try again! It was juicy and crispy. The philly cheesesteak fries were also good but i felt the fries were cold. But the cheese and steak was amazing. The service is really bad. We kept ringing the bell but no one came. We asked the person there to cut our sandwiches in half, he said he cant do it and we should do it ourselves. While taking orders, he didnt even ask if we wanted our protein as chicken or steak. He just assumed. We also asked to have the fries come first but we got it with our food. I guess thats why it was cold. There was only one person who running the place (taking orders and cooking)

Stepped in and the vibe is immaculate. Extremely chill. Great decor. Felt like i could nap here if i wanted. Seemed like there was just the one guy here tonight but he was quick getting to me anyway. Got the Signature Philly. It was fantastic. Got to me quick and it was juicy but not greasy. Piping hot and delicious. Looking forward to coming back.

Super delicious and staff was friendly. We ordered: Original Philly cheesesteak BBQ Philly cheesesteak Spicy Philly Onion rings Fries Fried and Onion Rings were amazing. Portions for Cheesesteaks were larger than we expected and super filling. Was so hungry we just digged in before taking a photo.

3.5 It was OK. We got the classic and the flaming hot cheesesteaks, onion rings and seasons fries. Delivery didn't knock. Not cool. But this is about the food. The flaming hot cheesesteak was mine and i loved every spicy hot minute of it. My nose was running one minute stuffy the next lol. My back was sore and I kept going back for more. Hubby said his sandwich was a bit spicy but he still liked it. The onion rings were OK The seasons fries must've forgotten their defining l seasoning. Overall the experience was OK

This place is interesting. They opened right before the pandemic so maybe the word of mouth isn't there. But I drive by this place daily, thought I would try. It's currently 12:45 and this place is totally empty. Sort of makes it unwelcoming, even the TV's still have the plastic on them. BUT the sandwich is bomb. Hope they see an uptick in business. Great service and food. Wish more people would head their way. I'll be back.

Tables were sticky. Food was not good. They messed up our order 3 times. And they refused to give us our money back. They also didn't have change in the register. They had to go next door to get change and then they still didn't have enough coins. Very disappointing.

Great food and even better customer service. After months of driving by I decided to stop by this place for lunch and pleasantly surprised. I went in with not much expectation and the service I was received was so great that I would highly recommend this place. I got the Phillysteak and they had 2 sizes and I opted for the smaller one. Even though it claimed to be smaller it was still a lot of food. The meat was cooked perfectly and the bread was great too. My husband got the chicken cheesesteak and it was great too. He said he liked it way better than truck yard. We also got the fries and it was ok but nothing to rave about. Overall this place is amazing and the person who helped us was so great too. He recommended what to order and was very pleasant throughout the time.

Stated opening on the door is noon on Sunday. Went there at 12:04. Two groups of us (total of five people) were there but doors were locked. Knocked on glass and even called the number on their door to see if they were running late (sometimes stuff happens) but no answer from anyone. So we went over to the Taco Bell in the other part of the parking lot. When we finished and drove by this place about 25 minutes later, the open sign was on. I can't attest to the food (this was our first time to go there) but do suggest you don't get there at the start of their hours. I tried to post without giving a star recommendation but it wouldn't so I am giving it 1star. Maybe we can try again and I can give a realistic rating of the food and I will update.

Had a terrible experience at this place. I Had been a repeat customer for awhile and unfortunately on this occasion had a hair in my sandwich. I went to return it and was treated so rudely. The cook at back wasn't wearing a hair net and asked how do you know if its my hair. He continued to argue until I finally got my refund. Will never be back again due to the lack of decent customer service.

Amazing cheesesteaks and fries. Go with the Signature Philly for your first - it super. Their rolls are so fresh. I grew up in the Philly area and this is one of the better cheesesteaks I've had since moving to DFW 20+ years ago.

A friend of mine was raving about this place. Wouldn't stop talking about it for weeks. Finally I went...this is not what I would have expected for a 9 dollar Sandwich. When I showed him this, he was gutted. I definitely won't be going back.

Pretty slow service. When I asked for their suggestion they suggested a zinger, when their main thing is a cheese steak (it's written in the name). So we ordered the flamin hot cheetos cheesesteak, the steak and cheese and the single Zinger. First off, where's the meat?!? Out sandwiches were more bread than meat. The flamin cheetos had more picked Jalapeños than it did meat. The cheese was just sliced cheese thrown on top. They advertised it on all pictures they had as the cheetos being crushed and not just placed on the sandwich, (sandwich was a let down). Steak and cheese was ehhh but still not enough filling. The bread was hard and not even toasted. The zinger had absolutely no flavor at all and slathered in what I can only guess was thousand island dressing and a sad excuse for coleslaw. I can see why it's never really too busy. I'd you looking for a good authentic cheesesteak, I would send them somewhere else .

Okay, if you're looking for a new Cheesesteak spot in DFW, you've got to check out S&S! Not only do they have the best cheesesteak, their burgers and chicken sandwich zingers are off the charts! The staff was awesome and explained everything well to me as it was my first time visiting. Everything was made fresh to order! I got my food a few minutes after placing my order and loved it! In addition, I really enjoyed the ambience as it's a place where you can go and relax like you're out and about with your friends. I ordered the signature cheesesteak, chefs special burger, and the crispy zinger on my last visit. Added on some tater tots, fries and onion rings, and the meal was more than enough for everyone! As a pro tip, I would encourage you to get a side of the sweet and spicy sauce and creamy zinger sauce to dip your sandwiches in. If you're new to DFW, or just wanting a good meal to fill you up at a great price, I 100% recommend checking them out! The zinger was super crunchy and the meat was seasoned nicely as the flavor truly came through. The chefs special had the perfect mix of a creamy sauce with the kick of some spicy jalapeños and cheese! The signature cheesesteak had the perfect combination of peepers mushrooms and seasoned meat!

Honestly wasn't expecting much but was greatly surprised! Service was awesome, food was great and came out fast. We got the signature Philly, spicy Philly, two drinks, chips and fries for $27. Not bad! I didn't like the seasoning on the fries but my boyfriend loved it so do with that what you will. The store was super clean, although I didn't check out the restrooms. They had string lights up and lowfi music playing for a chill vibe. Overall a great experience!

I called and spoke with an Ian. I'm writing this review at 9:44 and called a few minutes ago for a pick up but was told that they wanted to clean up and that I was no able to order. So keep in mind that you the hours state 10 but they stop serving at 935/940 pm. Sounds like lazy and non motivated employees.

food always hits. texas spicy cheesesteaks is moist and flavorful. it's worth the extra bucks. zinger is so crunchy i loved it.

Just moved here and discovered this place! It has so many options (even keto options). The staff and service is great. Got the cheesesteak, which had perfect meat to cheese ratio. The fries were also hot and fresh, which is never the case when you do a pickup order. Will definitely be coming on a regular!
