Had a great time sitting outside and having a sandwich a Sunday. Service was immediate. Recommendations were spot on, and like the rest of the comments say you come for the sandwiches, but you stay for the bread. Decent portion and was full after.

Sandwell has quickly become my go-to sandwich spot! They offer a great variety of warm and cold sandwiches, all made fresh to order. You can truly taste the quality in every bite. My absolute favorite is the Green Goddess Chicken Caesar Sub—it’s packed with flavor and feels both satisfying and light at the same time. I also love that they call themselves Healthyish. It’s the perfect way to describe them because their sandwiches feel like a guilty pleasure, but without the guilt. They use the cleanest, best ingredients, so I can enjoy something indulgent while still knowing it’s made with care. If you’re looking for sandwiches that are delicious, fresh, and a little better for you, Sandwell is the place!

Great new sandwich shop in the area I have been 4 times now I work in the area as a super of a building. And it is a healthier choice option to eat. My go to are the turkey meatball sub, and the lunchbox special. The staff is always up beat and welcoming. Great addition to the neighborhood.

Delicious sandwich spot! We got the mushroom cheesesteak and the seasonal special Calabrian hot honey chicken and both were phenomenal. Might go back tomorrow to try some more!

It’s a take out joint don’t expect to sit. Had the meatball sub - quite good. Had lemonade - a bit meh. Also- owners… the straws are terrible. They really don’t work properly. They split ….I suggest getting another supplier of biodegradable straws.

Sandwell in Gramercy has quickly become one of my favorite lunch spots in New York. The sandwiches are consistently excellent, and you can tell real care goes into the ingredients and flavor. Huge thank you to Amber and Liz — they’ve created something really special here. So far I’ve tried the Spicy Chicken Banh Mi, the Lunchbox, and the Wild Bird, and each one has been genuinely impressive. I’m excited to keep working my way through the menu (the salads are next!).

SUCH a good spot. Much needed around the area for quick lunch options! Their freshly baked bread is next level, and love that they have a gluten free bread option too.

The food here hit every note just right. Their food balances flavors so well you'll be stunned with every taste. I find this place remarkably different. Guest attention exceeds normal expectations! We received great care and good meals.

Well? I'm not as impressed with Sandwell as the yelp* community. I made a trip to sample their goods, and they didn't live up to their reputation. I ordered a Chicken Pesto sandwich and it was a bit dull. The Chicken was a bit dry, and it wasn't properly dressed. I thought $15 for the sandwich was fair, but $4 for a soda was ridiculous. My bill was $20.69. Thank U next!

Didn't have high hopes for this place because they are meat and dairy intensive but I live in the neighborhood and wanted to try it out. I ordered the only two vegan options they had; a hero (The Remy) and salad (Truffled Mushroom). The ingredients, including the bread and salad dressing, were fresh and sooo good. I will definitely be back soon and order the same. Hopefully they offer more vegan options in the future including soup. Great addition to the neighborhood.

Sandwell is great. Friendly staff, fair prices, reliably quick and yummy. The only disappointment is unfortunately their sandwich bread isn't very good, but the menu is strong overall.

OMG, so good! Possibly the best Cobb Salad I've ever had. With flavorful chicken, lightly marinated cherry tomatoes -- and that maple vinaigrette dressing was astonishingly good. Everything was so fresh. I would be tempted to put this in a salad bowl, serve it to guests and pretend I made it. Nice people behind the counter, too. Welcome to the neighborhood!

This is a new sandwich shop in Gramercy, something that has been much needed in the neighborhood as there's literally nowhere to get a decent sandwich. got the chicken caeser sub and it was delicious. could tell ingredients were quality and a good portion. prices are also very fair. highly recommend and excited to try the other sandwiches on the menu. a huge addition to the neighborhood.
