Sandwich and cafe "CHERMSIDE SANDWICH Harajuku Takeshita Dori"

Extremely loving staff that cater to English speakers just fine. Loved the whole place and experience even with the waiting time. The meat was amazingly juicy and tender. They state that they only do medium rare and well done, so this is a good note for anyone who has string preferences on meat cooking. A meat box sandwich came with fries which were nice and crispy outside, and fluffy/airy on the inside with a beer cost me just under 4,000 Yen. The waiting time was 40 minutes so you're advised to go outside and return at your time slot, or if eating un seat if a seat is found and wait there. The sandwich seemed small at first but is definitely filling. There is no shortage of meat inside, and the crispy bread makes sure the juices don't turn into a soggy mess. Definitely check this place out if in Harajuku!!

The food was delicious the toast with butter just melts in your mouth. If you come here make sure to get the chicken nuggets as well very flavorful and have the perfect texture and size to them. The fries have the right amount of salt it was overall a great meal. To finish it off the Banana smoothie was amazing I’ve tried 100s of different banana smoothies all across the United States and this is the only one that’s comparable to my favorite one back home. I’m not one to leave reviews but I had to this time. The staff was friendly and welcoming some even speak a little English which was helpful. If you’re coming to Japan this is a must try!

Chermside Sandwiches in Harajuku is a great spot for a quick but delicious meal. The food is really tasty, the meat is flavorful and well-seasoned, both in the medium and well-done versions. You can tell they take care with the ingredients and preparation. If you’re visiting with someone, one sandwich is enough to share. The “Meat” sandwich is especially good and worth trying. The place you first enter, is quite small and can get crowded, but it has a cozy vibe. If you prefer a more comfortable setting, ask the staff to guide you to their second location just a few steps away. It has more seating and a nice view overlooking Takeshita Street, perfect for people-watching while you eat. Tips • 🥪 Share a sandwich if you’re two people — portions are big. • 🥩 Both medium and well-done meats are tasty and juicy. • 📍 The first entrance is small; ask to be seated in the second location nearby. • 🌆 The other spot has a great view of Takeshita Street. • 💸 Prices are fair for Harajuku and the quality is totally worth it.

Hands down, the best meat sandwich I’ve had in my entire life. From the very first bite, the flavour hits you — juicy, perfectly seasoned, fresh, and made with real care. Great bread, balanced sauce, generous portion, and most importantly, quality you can actually taste. I’ve tried meat sandwiches in many places, but this one is on another level. If you love a proper meat sandwich and you don’t come here, you’re seriously missing out.

The steak sandwich is absolutely amazing as well as the fries. I knew with how viral this place is, I was in for a treat. Needless to say, Chermside did not disappoint. The smoothie was a nice surprise as well, it was the best I’ve had in my entire life, and was actually my favorite part the meal. The staff were friendly and cool, and there were plenty of spots to sit between the two locations. We didn’t have to wait long for our food as well. Overall for the price, I highly recommend taking a stop here. It was one of the stars of my Japan trip.

Amazing experience! Huge portions and really tasty meals, especially in combination with their craft drinks✨ Stuff was super friendly and professional. We got a takeout but it hasn’t influenced food taste, packing is also really convenient.

Overall, the sandwich is pretty decent. My estimation is that it has around 200 grams of beef, which is quite generous for the price. The meat itself isn’t particularly high quality, but the sauce ties it together nicely. It’s definitely worth trying, though I wouldn’t wait more than 10 minutes for it. Pro tip: if there’s a long line at the main branch, check the second branch in the next building (3rd floor) when I visited, it had no wait at all.
