Great variety of quality sandwiches, chips, and drinks to choose from! Love the combo (sandwich + drink + chips) option. We’ve tried a couple different options: Italian and Chicken Panini pictured here, but every one we’ve tried has been delicious! Staff is super welcoming and friendly. We also love the music they play in the shop. Definitely one of our most favorite lunch spots in Springfield!

| September 28th, 2025 | On this day, my husband and I were in the mood for a good sandwich while shopping at Springfield Mall. As we searched for a nearby sandwich spot, we stumbled upon Sandwich Republic. The ratings looked promising, so we decided to see what the hype was about. We tried two sandwiches: the BBQ Chicken Breast with coleslaw and chipotle BBQ sauce, and the Braised Short Ribs. While both were flavorful, juicy, and fresh, the Braised Short Ribs really stood out for me. It was definitely the winner in terms of taste and tenderness. The atmosphere of the place was welcoming and cozy, and the owner was incredibly friendly. The service was excellent, which made the experience even better. Kind, attentive staff making quality sandwiches of any kind. We had the Italian and cubano and both were incredible and fresh. Highly recommend.

First of all I do like this place and have visited multiple times but I was unpleasantly surprised by an unadvertised charge on my order. I ordered a Cuban which is advertised as $11.99 and upon being rung up had a subtotal of $12.49. They explained this as a hotgrill charge. I'm the type of person who likes to know what in buying before I order it and wish they would explain charges like that on the menu so it doesn't feel like a surprise or something improper. When I asked about it they were kind and offered to refund for the difference, they did offer a cookie which I appreciated. Long term I think it would be a good idea to show upcharges like this on the menu so people don't accept an unplanned charge or can at least make a deliberate decision. Your sandwiches are very delicious so definitely want to come back.

Incredible. We love our sandwiches and these two really hit the spot. The toasted Italian was exactly what you want an Italian sandwich to taste like and the Korean Galbi Short Rib special was delicious. Any wait to come back.

It's a cute place with good food that's perfect for my lunch break. Everything tastes fresh (my sandwich was still good after two days in the fridge. The lettuce was still crispy!) and the sandwiches are a good size at around $10 each. The atmosphere is also good with nice decor and kind people. It's a small place, but not too busy either. I highly recommend Sandwich Republic.

The customer service was amazing the food came fast and fresh every ingredients to the salt grain was soo fresh It was so good I had to spin back again and it just made my whole day brighter ts is peak i will be a regular PS. Roast beef sandwich wit mozzarella is ball knowledge

Horrible experience. I asked for chipotle chicken and i realized there is bacon while eating. I asked her kindly and she said “you asked for chicken panini even though i did ask chipotle chicken. Then she made another sandwich and i came home , as in the image, there was bacon again!!! I called the store and the owner or manager, he got frustrated to me and he said oh you didn’t tell you don’t want pork. I mean, there are ingredients listed in the chipotle chicken and why would I notify specifically that I don’t want bacon? He said do you have a picture and i sent it and then he said oh i need to see it in person , come onnn, isn’t it clear is it bacon? What kind of business and customer service is it ? You made it wrong and you should try to make it correct. Don’t even bother replying that review

This is our favorite sandwich shop in the DMV area! I used to go here all the time until I moved away in 2021. I recently moved back into the area and was nervous that the sandwiches wouldn't be as good as before, however, they were even better than I remembered. I split the galbi sandwich and Cuban sandwich with my husband and both were excellent. All the sandwiches I've gotten here have a lot of flavor, have a perfect balance of ingredients, and they're never dry. This is also the only sandwich spot I've found with great gluten free sandwich options. They used to only offer gluten free wraps but since the last time I was here they've added gluten free bread as an option which is nice. I usually order online and pick up the sandwiches. The service is always great and quick and the prices are very reasonable.

Overcharge for items vs menu. Tandoori Chicken sandwich according to the flatscreen menu is $10.59 but on receipt was $11.09. The Ruben on the menu was $14.99 but on the receipt was $16.99. Inside dining was drafty. Not a good place to eat in on a cold day. Sandwiches were small but tasty. Unfortunately the discrepancy in prices left a bad taste in my mouth.

I've been to this sandwich shop multiple times now, and every visit has been consistently excellent. I've tried a wide range of sandwiches on their menu and every single one has been flavorful, fresh and a great portion One of the best parts of coming here is the atmosphere. The owner is incredibly kind and welcoming, and it really makes a difference. You feel like more than just a customer.She always focuses on delivering great customer service. They also offer a selection of baked goods, and let me tell you they are THE BEST. The cookies and muffins are always baked to perfection.I would highly recommend this place!

We emailed months ago as requested and never got a response. Decided to give it another try and both of our sandwiches were wrong again. Mine was missing multiple toppings and had mayo added. We ended up just tossing the sandwiches and going elsewhere. For $15/sandwich after tax and tip it's just too much to have sandwiches with mistakes every time. Especially when some toppings are an extra cost and are then left off. If you try this place, I'd open your sandwich before leaving to be sure it's the one you ordered and isn't missing ingredients.

Fantastic sandwich shop! Enjoyed the chicken on chiabatta bread, though we passed in the Rosemary mayo. Ordering online to make it a quick stop worked great! So glad we stopped.

They executed my customizations on my turkey club perfectly and the to-go packaging and presentation did not disappoint. It was clean and tidy, which seems to be a lost art lately. You can also tell how fresh the sandwich meats are by both color and taste, this is not something you get out of prepackaged deli meat. The service was two thumbs up and I also appreciated the small details of high quality packaging materials they utilize. Will definitely come back.

Quality ingredients and friendly staff. I had the roasted Eggplant sandwich and it was very tasty. I'll definitely be coming back.

I've driven by this establishment for years but finally tried it this week. Awesome experience! The owners were very patient and detailed when describing their sandwich selection. With kind service as a strong start, I ultimately chose the Chicken Panini. The restaurant was clean, organized, and comfortable. Despite already high expectations, I was pleasantly surprised with my sandwich. Fresh bread with a soft yet firm consistency, flavorful meat well balanced with avocado and aioli, and paired with salt and vinegar chips and a cherry soda--the perfect weekday lunch treat. I'll be back to try more sandwiches--the owner highlighted the braised short rib, tandoori chicken breast, and bulgogi special.

Glad to have found this place! The sandwich was so good, we went back the next day to try another option. From the moment you step in, you are warmly greeted with a smile. There are a lot of great options from hot/cold sandwiches, soup-of-the-day, and salads. The ingredients were fresh and the shop was very clean. We had the Reuben, Tandoori Chicken, and Meatball...which were all tasty and delicious! There are a few tables to dine-in and parking is a shared lot with other businesses. We will definitely be back...enjoy!

I'm visiting from Texas and wanted to try a sandwich shop while visiting the area--By far this shop is in my top 3 fav sandwich shops I've ever had. The owners whom took my order and gave me my sandwich were so respectful and friendly. Overall once I come back to the DMV area to visit, I'll be gladly coming to this shop.

Stayed at the Home Suites and Sandwich Republic was next door. Friendly service. I got the Italian and was very satisfied. The only glitch was trying to use the kiosk. It was flaky but I got it to work. The person at the counter was ready to take my order just in case. The sandwich was good. Overall, I would come here again.

Visited this place down the street and loved their Tandoori Chicken sandwich. never heard of this combo. MAN that joint was SPICY. Was sweating through it but the bread was perfectly crisp and flavor was spot on. It's a super clean and cute sandwich shop run by a nice Korean family - gotta go back to support this gem. Can't wait to try their other unique sandwiches!

Went to Sandwich Republic for the first time today. Great customer service, clean establishment and the sandwiches were really good. The bread top tier. I got the short rib sandwich my daughter got the tandoori chicken sandwich. Sandwich size is perfect and the owner was nice enough to wrap my sandwich when I couldn't finish it and gave me 2 free cookies. I'll definitely go back!

For my first visit to Sandwich Republic I decided to try the Porchetta. This is a delicious sandwich, particularly if you get it with all of the optional toppings. It's pretty reasonably priced for the size and tastes great, so I'm planning on coming back to try a few of the others and see if I can find a favorite. As far as the restaurant itself is concerned, it's about what you would expect for a fast casual sandwich place. What really stood out to me though was how friendly and helpful the staff are here. The sandwich was ready in about five minutes and I left feeling really good about the whole experience. Thanks, Sandwich Republic!

We just moved to the area and were looking for a good sandwich place nearby, and after trying a lot of other places we came here and absolutely LOVED the sandwiches! They are fresh and so delicious. Service was fast and they were very kind. We will definitely be back!

They have really good sandwiches here. I usually get tuna, shrimp salad or chicken salad. All are delicious. They have a rosemary mayo that I request every time. I've order from here a few times and even picked up food for my coworkers here and they all love their sandwiches.

Always drove through this area and saw this sandwhich shop but never got a chance to stop in until today. Once inside, we were greeted by the loveliest people. The owners and all other staff were beyond kind. The turkey bacon sandwhich with hot peppers is to die for, everything taste super fresh from the bread, meats and toppings. The portions are very good and was extremely filling. The shop was nice and clean. Would absolutely love to return to try out their other sandwhiches.

The BEST sandwich place in Virginia! Owned by the sweetest couple, they're so kind so I always try and tip. Their specials are unique and delicious. They also have cookies and muffins which are pretty good, I think the husband makes them. You can eat inside as well, it's very cute. My family has been going here for years and haven't had any issues. Definitely recommend!

Great bread on a flavorful sandwich. $10 for just the sandwich. Go here instead of the nearby potbelly or Panera.

Surprisingly I am not feeling this place. Ordered the Turkey Breast on Ciabatta with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, pickles and hot peppers....mayo and mustard... My sandwich was dry and flavorless...the toppings were fresh- they just lacked flavors lol and I think they forgot my mustard and mayo... :/ I also tried the potato salad which was also bland....I added some salt and pepper to jazz it up and I didn't was to waste it :( Just overall personally not my cup of tea...the store was clean and staff were super friendly and welcoming. I really had my hopes up and was excited about todays lunch adventure but I don't think I'll ever venture back here. Happy Yelping!

This was our first time trying this place. Very friendly staff. We also thought the bread was really, really good. But as far as the overall sandwiches are concerned, we only liked the sandwiches and didn't love them. Hence the 3-star rating. We will definitely give it another try. But for now it's a solid 3.

This place epitomizes the mom n pop experience. Not only is the food fresh, creative, and delicious, the owners took care of us like family. Our 8 year old son was under the weather while we dined in and the owners took care of him like their own son with comforting words, food, and service. Will be repeat customer, highly recommend!

Once I figure out how to get into the parking lot the signs were clear directing you to the restaurant. There is parking in the back and the entrance is on the side. There is no parking in front but don't let that deter you. I was not disappointed with my special of the day an oooeeeyyy goooeeey meatball sub on ciabatta. I ordered mine with extra marinara hold the arugula. The meatball sandwich comes with onions, arugula, provolone & parmesan cheese and marinara sauce. I also ordered the peanut butter and double chocolate chip cookie that was soft in the middle and crunchy on the edges....yum. My plan when I looked them up on Yelp originally was to get the Cuban but I am not sure how the owner new but he said "it's spicy" and I said great catch...I must look like I cant do spicy (lol). They post the special sandwich of the day on their Facebook page. The staff was friendly and the sandwich was made quickly and they even wrapped each half separately for me. I wanted to eat a couple of bites in the store and possibly at the stop light without making a mess. I am not a soda drinker and they did not have ice tea so I passed on the drink and potato chip combo for $2.99 (additionally). If you like sodas with sugar cane they had several and other bottle varieties that reminded me of an old fashion country store. When I'm in the area I will definitely return.

I LOVE this sandwich shop! The shrimp salad sandwich is my favorite in all the DMV. The cookies are divine, especially the oatmeal raisin, which I normally don't even like, now my favorite cookie in the entire DMV!

This is my favorite Sandwich shop!! I typically order the short rib sandwich, which is always 10/10. Food is always fresh, nicely prepared and Excellent Customer Service. The shop is always immaculately clean and organized The owners have so much pride in their business and it shows. They are the nicest kindest people you can ever meet. This is my go to spot when I'm craving a sandwich and it never disappoints

Ordered DoorDash on a Sunday afternoon because we were craving Italian subs and I wanted to get something better than chain. Alas, I wish I hadn't tried. The first problem was the bread, thick ciabatta that was so dry no turn of phrase would do it justice. This wouldn't have been as big a problem if the meat portions were more than what you would give a toddler. Lots of lettuce and big dry roll, no amount of quality olive oil could save it. We each threw away more than half the sandwiches and turned our attention to the Greek salad, which should be foolproof, but... something was wrong with the tomatoes so the whole thing tasted foul. I would not order from here again.

Nice family run business, ordered the daily special (pastrami sandwich) and the Cuban. The wife requested the pastrami bread toasted and they put it on the grill. We sat down and our sandwiches were ready in a few minutes. They were absolutely amazing, lots of meat, tasty and fresh ingredients. We loved it. They also have a great selection of craft sodas. Will definitely come back to try the beef brisket.

No nonsense sandwich shop with friendly staff, quick service, and quality sandwiches for a reasonable price. The sandwiches are big and the quality is good. This is the place you go for that quick lunch to go. I really like the meat to bread ratio and the free lemon water. Dine in is also available at a few tables.

I get the same sandwich every time - braised short rib. My goodness, this is a good sandwich. I'm not usually a sandwich person, but I finish this one every time (usually in two sittings). They are very generous with the short rib and it's just a very tasty meal. Highly recommend.

I stopped in for lunch and loved the cute decor and the free lemon water. I was surprised the sandwiches weren't more "unique" - I would have loved to see a spicy option or just some extra something. I went with the panini with turkey bacon avacado which was quite large and filling. The Caesar salad was quite large too. The prices were a bit high but you got a lot of food. Inside was clean and service was quick. To me it was what Panera once was but way better portion sizes for the price.

The sandwiches that I received were pretty good. I was frustrated that I ordered and paid for three sandwiches but I only received two. I didn't notice the difference until I was already home. I recommend that if you order take out, ensure that you have everything before you leave the restaurant.

Great sandwich spot that is leagues ahead of Subway and Firehouse. They have a lot of different options on the menus as well as specials. I had the grilled chicken with bacon and avocado and it was really good. Give this place a try if you're looking for a nice lunch spot.

I was here back to back days and let me tell you, it is delicious! I can't wait to try the shrimp salad sandwich on my next visit. Service is good and fast (I literally waited less than 5 mins for my sandwich both times) Plenty of parking too! Highly recommend!

This is a terrible employer. My 16 year old daughter started her first job yesterday. Yesterday, she came home all excited. This morning she went in all prepared and excited. But she was told that she was fired. They told her she voided a receipt yesterday therefore accused her of cheating them out of $10. Mind you they were supposed to train her and she is only 16. She is a straight A student. For them to accuse honest kid with out any training and warning for a mistake is a shame. I think they are prejudiced and terrible people.

Nova's best Sammy's. They' have a wide variety of delicious options. The cookies and brownies are yummy too. This has been a local favorite of mine for a while

The consistency of this place is unmatched aswell as their customer service.The place is very welcoming and feels like a cozy home. The turkey breast is amazing and the other day i was the last customer and they gave me a free cookie:)

Stopped on the way to Amtrak auto train. These sandwiches are awesome! Had the porchetta special and a roast beef - both were fantastic. Service was fast. Not much seating inside but a fantastic stop before the train!

They were so nice here!! Lovely couple run this store and they were so nice. They brought out my sandwich, took my trash, and asked how I liked the food! Great service and the sandwich was delicious! It was tucked away in the corner and kinda hard to find the parking and entrance but there's a bunch of signs! Def check this place out if you are in the mood for a sandwich!

This place USED TO BE great. But then, they sold it. And while the new owners seem to be nice enough, it is not the same, and they have been cutting corners and costs at the expense of quality and safety. The bread used to be fresh, but not anymore. The cookies used to be fresh and amazing. BUT NOW, it seems like they recycle it. The sandwiches used to be done better. We even DANGEROUSLY found a bone in our short rib sandwich! - And worst, not only are they cutting all these corners with quality, but the prices went up. The old owners raised the prices a little from the pandemic, but the new owners appear to have raised them again. They took a perfect formula of great prices and fresh food, and wasted it with cheapness and short-sighted cost-cutting.

Quality control nosedive. We've ordered from Sandwich Republic for more than ten years. Quality control recently is dreadful. Today ordered their BLT with light rosemary mayo, and it was delivered with pickles, onions and hot peppers and regular mayo. On a BLT! The ingredients should be self explanatory. Second sandwich a turkey-bacon club ordered with just lettuce and tomato, also delivered with mayo pickles, onion and hot peppers. Hard to make that mistake twice on one order with two sandwiches that'd never be ordered with pickles and hot peppers.

Me and T got three sandwiches here to split between the two of us. Why did we get three sandwiches... 1. 'Cause I'm me 2. It's a 4.5 star business, and always with these types of businesses, I'm inclined to want to try more of the menu 3. I'm indecisive as all get up- and the sandwiches were VERY reasonably priced. So which sand-wiches did we choose? 1. Porchetta Ciabatta 2. Shrimp Salad 3. Banh Mi (This was their daily special) Porchetta Ciabatta: Now... if your idea of Porchetta is herb stuffed rolled porkbelly that is rotisseried for hours on end... this sandwich will disappoint. That's how I was introduced to Porchetta (in a foodstall in the back of the Ferry Building in San Francisco). This is more like a cold deli meat Porchetta. Just FYI. It seemed to lack some flavor tbh. This one I would probably not get again. Shrimp Salad: GENEROUS portion of shrimp salad seasoned with Old Bay that fills the sub roll it's on. Could use just a little more seasoning in my opinion, but the freshness of the shrimp and the little kick it has was quite delish. Banh Mi: This was my favorite by far of all the sandwiches we ordered. Great punch with the pickled veg, perfect amount of cilantro, meats were quite good and very thinly sliced. I would come back solely for this sandwich. And I would have to come back on a Thursday ( at least currently) cause that's the only day they serve it **Make note. All in all a great little sandwich shop. Another place that makes it super easy and extra rewarding to support local.

Whoa! That short rib sandwich was EVERYTHING!!! We were woofing it down so forgot to take a pic. But ordered just like menu description but added a Schmear of wasabi! Oh boy! Next level. I don't live here, but I'd come back easily!

Phenomenal sandwiches. We had braised short rib sandwich and tandoori sandwich. The braised short rib was so moist and went so well with the ciabatta bread grilled with mayo. They also have banana milk. My toddler loved it. High chairs available. Kind owners with good service. Ambiance nice with soft music playing and very clean restroom.
