Sandwicherie Pollux

This is famous for Liège waffles. We had almost everything, and they were soooo nice! Especially, chocolate waffle (outside coated) was the best!

When in Liege you have to indulge in a Liege Waffle and so we stopped at 'Pollux Cafe', as where better place to have a Liege Waffle than sitting outside with a view of Liege Cathedral. The service was very slow at Pollux as they had one member of staff working and seemingly only one of their four waffle cookers in use despite people waiting for waffles. The waffles were tasty though when they arrived.

Hmm I read from somewhere this place serves one of the best Liege waffles in Liege. I actually walked past a few but decided to give this a try instead based on the information gathered on internet. There were really quite a lot of people in the queue, and the waffles they served were really fresh and hot because there was only 1 girl making it and the shop was selling faster than it could make. Finally I ordered 1 and managed to try. I asked the staff to recommend me and she told me the best is to eat Liege waffles plain. I tried it and I found it not too bad but I felt it definitely wasn't the best in town. Quite enjoyed it but I have to say I had better ones around. It's a cafe with some seats and also selling food like sandwiches, but looks like more people are just ordering the waffles.

POLLUX - my waffle stop in Liege 🇧🇪 Sometimes it can also be a delicious ‘’Baguette Nordique’ with salmon or ‘Baguette Thon piquant’. Always fresh, always delicious. Pollux is very centrally located, just walking across Liège's St. Paul's Cathedral. There are also outdoor seating options around the shop for dine-in.

I always go there for the waffle, it’s really good and prepared right in front of you - right amount of sugar and butter. Usually there’s a line and no places to sit so just eat as you go!

Was recommended this spot for waffles by multiple locals and students. Definitely try a liege waffle or chocolate waffle if you’re looking for a top waffle place in Liege. They have a walk up window for takeaway

Okay for the location, but the quality of the waffles decreased significantly.

Very tasty waffles and a nice view of the cathedral! I recommend the "gaufre fourré" :)
