I'm a fan of farmers markets and have made it to quite a number of them, mostly in-town. Since Martha's Boy Bakeshop (https://www.marthasboy.com/) sets up shop here once a week, I've visited the market a few times to pick up either biscuits, cookies, or cake jars. After my chow-down, I peruse the other vendors and if I find Marlee Street Eatz, I'll grab some chicken pot pies and Jamaican beef patties, maybe samosas or rum cake too.
I learned today that there are approximately 40-45 vendors, selling a variety of items that range from hot foods that you can eat right there to coffee to baked goods and breads to fresh, locally grown produce to honey, candles, artisanal jewelry and everything in between. You will definitely leave with something (likely your arms full, so bring a big reusable bag with you).
A massive plus of the Sandy Springs Farmers Markets is the amount of benches and outdoor tables with shade from trees and umbrellas. Parking is decently easy, especially if you arrive early. I love seeing families with kids and pets relaxing, socializing, and playing in the beautifully landscaped space. As the weather cools here in Atlanta, I plan to visit with my fam bam more. Maybe I'll catch you there.
