Sandy's Beach Shack

For dining right on the beach, this is a lovely surprise. The food is far better than you would expect. The service is good, but I think overstretched... Not enough staff for a full restaurant, but that is common in the area. Atmosphere is a mix between locals and tourists, about 50/50 in April. Lots of well behaved dogs, with about 1 in 6 tables having a dog or two. I recommend this place for food, location, service and atmosphere. You get to sit below the outer and you could see the sunset. We rode our bikes here and the bike park for locking your bike is right outside the front door.

I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The fish and chips were absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside, tender and flavorful on the inside. You can tell they use quality ingredients and know how to cook them just right. The customer service was just as impressive. The staff were friendly, attentive, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in. It’s rare to find a place that gets both the food and the service so right. Highly recommend and will definitely be coming back!

Great restaurant to go our with your pooch. Both beef and chicken on menu and boy did my girl eat it up. Staff is very nice and accommodating with pets. Will definitely be back again. Really enjoyed burger and fish sticks. Mud pie was too chocolate-y for my taste but my kid loved it.

The food was delicious, and the combo plate featured several items I’d never tried before. The wait time was moderate and totally reasonable.

The service was great, the food was good. Got the clam chowder cup, which was great. I also got a ceviche that personally could have used some more citrus/lime flavor. We got the calamari strips, which were good. They were served with some salad that I wasn't a fan of. Lastly we ordered the fish and ships, which it was very good, I recommend it. It was also my fiancée bday, and they provided her with a cheesecake on the house, which it was awesome. The service was top notch, I would definitely go back.

Sandy's had amazing food and was literally right on the beach! The only this was the parking wasn't great but if you park across the street it wasn't too bad. Will be coming back again when I come into town.

The staff and service was terrible but the food was really good. The hostesses at the front were mean girls. Our waiter didn't listen to what we ordered and just incorrectly guessed my mother-in-law's order. We won't ever come back to this establishment. The food was great, though, such a shame.

I ordered the Bloody Mary spicy, and Sandy’s definitely delivered on the heat — just the right kick to wake up your taste buds. However, the sesame seeds on the rim felt a bit out of place and didn’t add much to the overall experience. That said, the star of the show was the espresso martini. Easily one of the best I’ve had — smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. I added a shot of Baileys, which made it even more indulgent. Highly recommend for any espresso martini lover!
