"Dunwoody's Sankranti plants its second location in Emory Village. The fast-casual Indian food spot is clearly catering to Emory students who need to grab a quick meal in between classes. Breeze down the cafeteria-style line and pick a base, protein, and toppings for your bowl or get the superior karma roll (think tortilla burrito packed with tasty Indian flavors). We like that the curry bowls served in to-go containers a la Chipotle soothe our cravings for chicken tikka, even if we won’t remember eating it in a week." - juli horsford

Cool concept, but in my opinion pretty expensive. $50 for two portions of food and two drinks… I don’t know… But I liked the food and what they add to the area is awesome. Yeah, not many complaints besides the price. Also it was empty at lunch time so the vibe was a bit off.

Straightforward fast-casual dining. Pick a combo from the menu or build one from the options on the serving line in front of you. Kiosk ordering is available too. I ordered the vegan bowl. Gets the job done, though the nearby Cava might offer greater value. Falafel was a bit hardened and dry.

About enough space for 25 ppl inside with more seating outside. Wifi available.

I’m so glad that there’s a nearby restaurant that serves good Indian food by Emory. Right in Emory Village lies Sankranti (like the festival?) whether you can order dishes or build your own. I got the boneless chicken biryani with mango lassi for under $17.
There’s a lot of small seating indoor like for two people at a time and some outdoor group seating. They also have free WiFi if you put your email in. For parking, there’s street parallel parking but also a private parking lot for the plaza in the back.

I like this place so much!! The 1st time we came it was after Pilates and we gave this place a try, the portions are so big me and my friend were able to share one plate and still have left overs the next day. The people working are so kind. After trying it once we had to come back again so we did 😂 would recommend if ur in the area and want some good food. The chicken tikka masala was so good, as well as the mango lassi. this will be my new go to Indian food place.

This inexpensive place serves authentic northern Indian food. Their curry is very good. I tried their mango lassi (Indian mango drink blended with yogurt) as well. A wonderful cold drink in the Atlanta summer!

The chicken biryani was fresh and spicy (in a good way). The mango lassi was refreshing with great flavors. Great spot for a quick bite to eat.

Tried this place for the first time for lunch. It’s basically a build your own bowl style place like chipotle but for Indian food! Soniya was great! The bowl she prepared for me was delicious. I will definitely be back.

Imagine a Moe's or Chipotle, but substitute Indian for texmex. Honestly, that's not doing this place justice, but you get the picture. It's very good and pretty unique. I really enjoyed my meal here, and it's reasonably priced.
