The Best Ramen Restaurants in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Reputable Toronto ramen chain Sansotei opened its first Montreal location in the summer of 2020 — and has been serving bowl upon bowl of creamy, Hakata-style tonkotsu pork broth to the city’s diners ever since. Black garlic, miso, shoyu, tomato, and spicy are also on the menu, with prices at just under $20 a bowl. Now with a second location in the Plateau." - Valerie Silva

Ended up here by chance for a late lunch and so glad we did. We ordered two different ramens and both were some of the best soups we have ever had. My partner ordered the Tonkatsu+ soup and I had the Shoyu. 10/10 would recommend. Busy spot, lots of regulars. Service was very friendly and very fast!

I think my broth (spicy tantan) was a bit salty compared to others but that may be because I eat less salt. The ramen was nonetheless great! The waitress was also really chill and friendly so it was a great experience. Would recommend!

The restaurant is nice, the service is good and the ramen bowls are filling. Plenty of sake options, small beer choices, no wine. The first table near the entrance is regularly exposed to drafts from the front door.

The ramen was delicious and flavorful. The broth had a depth of flavor that was intriguing and kept us eating. The meat was very tender and the noodles absorbed the flavor of the broth, were cooked perfectly, and in good quantity. The servers were kind and fast with their service. On a final note, the black milk tea was amazing! We would eat here again:)

Went there around 9:30 PM on a Thursday, and the restaurant was still quite busy. The ramen was decent—though it might be a bit salty for some. The menu is available in both English and French, and the server was friendly and welcoming. Oh the chashu was so tender!

This was the first time I ate Ramen in my life, and I started at a place that serves delicious food. Guys, my goal for this year is to try new things in various aspects of life, including cooking. What a wonderful experience. We followed the waitress's recommendation, and everything went really well! The Ramen was delicious. It's a huge portion, I'm telling you. The prices are very good. Their service was also excellent. Just try it and then tell me if it was worth it or not. The only problem is that I'll want to eat ramen more often now. You really feel like you're transported to another place, the restaurant's atmosphere is really nice, allow yourself this experience.

"One of the best ramen spots in Canada! The flavors are exceptional – the mushroom adds a delightful salty touch, the broth perfectly balances savory and sweet, and the pork is incredibly tender. They also offer a delicious vegetarian option. Highly recommend!"

Clean affordable ramen shop. Noodles are not handmade and the tonkatsu broth today was a little thin , lacked fat and depth and needed tare. I'd be willing to bet the milky color came from milk and not pork bones that had been boiled for hours. But it was good. The egg was cold , like fridge cold and the chashu was very thin. The gyoza was devine. They're tonkatsu is probably as good as it's going to get with dry noodles and the broth. And if your OK with that it's just fine . Service was excellent and the place is modern and clean. Food 3 Service 5 Atmosphere 5 Value 4
