The Best Ramen Restaurants in Montreal | Eater Montreal

"Reputable Toronto ramen chain Sansotei opened its first Montreal location in the summer of 2020 — and has been serving bowl upon bowl of creamy, Hakata-style tonkotsu pork broth to the city’s diners ever since. Black garlic, miso, shoyu, tomato, and spicy are also on the menu, with prices at just under $20 a bowl. Now with a second location in the Plateau." - Valerie Silva

I think my broth (spicy tantan) was a bit salty compared to others but that may be because I eat less salt. The ramen was nonetheless great! The waitress was also really chill and friendly so it was a great experience. Would recommend!

This was easily the BEST ramen I've ever had in my life. My fiancé is Asian, and she agrees too. The portions were just right, the flavors were out of this world - exquisite, unique and absolutely delicious, the presentation was beautiful, the service was impeccable and the atmosphere - wonderful! I wish we had more time to stay in Montreal, so that we could enjoy coming to this place again. We LOVED it!

This was the first time I ate Ramen in my life, and I started at a place that serves delicious food. Guys, my goal for this year is to try new things in various aspects of life, including cooking. What a wonderful experience. We followed the waitress's recommendation, and everything went really well! The Ramen was delicious. It's a huge portion, I'm telling you. The prices are very good. Their service was also excellent. Just try it and then tell me if it was worth it or not. The only problem is that I'll want to eat ramen more often now. You really feel like you're transported to another place, the restaurant's atmosphere is really nice, allow yourself this experience.

"One of the best ramen spots in Canada! The flavors are exceptional – the mushroom adds a delightful salty touch, the broth perfectly balances savory and sweet, and the pork is incredibly tender. They also offer a delicious vegetarian option. Highly recommend!"

I ordered miso black, tonkotsu, Spicy tantan, wings and gyoza. The food was hot and fresh. Loved the flavours. The ambience was cozy and the service was quick. The price is also affordable.

I tried the new vegetarian option - miso vegetarian ramen - and I was pleasantly surprised! The broth is smooth and flavorful, with a touch of (I think) garlic oil. Tofu was chewy and daikon was very well cooked. I think adding a crunchy veggie would make the dish even better. But overall, exceeds expectations!!!

Delicious and tasty Ramen, i recommend the dumpling starter, delicious, you'll want to get 2, 5 prices to share is not enough! We got SHOYU & TONKOTSU, they were both good in their own way, i recommend the fat noodles over the thin ones, just a personal preference. The service was great, very kind and very fast, good tasting free cold water when you arrive, everything was very quickly prepared and served. Will definitely be back. Don't be turned off by the word "black fungus" these are just mild flavored delicious mushrooms.

this is hands down the best ramen i’ve ever had (i’m no ramen expert, but i digress). the staff were super friendly and quick, and the ramen was amazing. i’ve gone home from my vacation and i’m still thinking about the spicy tantan ramen i had here. it was perfectly spicy and the pork was amazing. i also like that you can choose between thick and thin noodles as well. 100/10 definitely recommend if you’re in downtown montréal!
