Unfortunately, our recent experience at Santa Claus Holiday Village – especially because of the Three Elves Restaurant was deeply disappointing due to the extremely rude behavior of one staff member, Alexandros.
When we entered the restaurant through the main entrance, no staff member was present to welcome or seat guests. Since no one was there to guide us, we calmly took a seat at an available table with our young son. Instead of approaching us politely or offering assistance, without even approaching our table, Alexandros called out to us from a distance and, in a condescending and hostile tone, demanded to know who had allowed us to sit there and “how we dared” to take that table.
His facial expressions and manner were openly dismissive and humiliating. We were made to feel as though we had done something wrong — simply for sitting at a table in a restaurant where no staff member was available to assist us.
We choose hotels like this for warmth, hospitality, and family-friendly service — not to be spoken to disrespectfully in front of our child. As paying guests, we expect basic courtesy and professionalism. Being treated with arrogance and disdain is completely unacceptable in the hospitality industry.
It is particularly disappointing because the overall concept of the hotel is built around magic, kindness, and the spirit of Christmas. Experiences like this directly contradict that atmosphere.
We sincerely hope management takes this feedback seriously. No guest should feel belittled for something that was clearly the result of a lack of staff guidance.
We travel often and rarely write negative reviews — but respectful service is not a luxury; it is a fundamental expectation.
We truly hope other families will be treated with the kindness and dignity that every guest deserves. If you are looking for a cosy and respectful atmosphere, we unfortunately cannot recommend this hotel — or we would strongly suggest choosing an alternative place for lunch.
