Dozens of Armed ICE Agents Swarm Popular Swap Meet in Santa Fe Springs | Eater LA

"A decades-old market that caters largely to a Latino clientele, offering art, clothing, household goods and a food court serving drinks, beer, ice cream, menudo, burgers, tacos and wings. On June 14, 2025 federal agents entered the site around 3:30 p.m., just before a scheduled Father’s Day concert; roughly 50–80 officers in tactical gear with helicopters overhead searched the swap meet, detained dozens and arrested several people. Witnesses reported agents walking through crowds asking questions, and local outlets estimated 40–50 people were detained amid a wider series of ICE sweeps in the region." - Mona Holmes

Amazing place. I've been coming here for decades and have never seen a Harley Davidson jacket, hats, or tees being sold. Had to jump on the chance to own a jacket for when I ride. The place was hidden but had a variety of goods. From toys to children's clothing. If you ride, make sure to check out the spot. Everyone at every store is nice and helpful. There's so much to see. I don't really go for the beer or food, mainly for the live music and variety of shops. Super stoked!

A Must-Visit Weekend Spot for Families and Curious Minds! Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet is hands down one of the best weekend destinations in SoCal! Whether you’re here to shop, eat, or explore with the family, there’s something for everyone. The variety of vendors, live entertainment, and friendly atmosphere make every visit enjoyable — and my kids absolutely love the energy and the surprises around every corner! One highlight that deserves a special shoutout is the booth at space D17: 3D Bliss. This spot blew us away! Their massive selection of 3D-printed creations — from articulated dragons and fantasy creatures to adorable keychains and toys — was incredible. My kids were mesmerized by the live 3D printing demo right at the booth, and the owner took the time to explain how everything worked, even showing us different filament types and print stages. The owner of 3D Bliss was extremely kind and passionate, going above and beyond to introduce the technology in a way that was fun and approachable for all ages. Their prices were very affordable, and the quality of each printed piece was top-notch. You can really tell they put care into their work. Perfect for gifting or letting the kids pick out something special. We had a great time as a family exploring the swap meet, and 3D Bliss made the experience even more memorable. Highly recommend stopping by — especially if you’re into cool tech, creative toys, or just want something unique and colorful!

Vendors are great, some unique items not to mention the music and band was really good. Drinks are bomb and everyone is friendly. Safe and relaxing vibe

Google
An amazing Swap Meet. There are a lot of great deal items at this location. I spent over an hour and only saw a portion of the vendors. There is a diversity of items sold at this location. I saw Clothing of all sorts, household goods, misalanious antique stuff and there is a mini food industry here. Go by yourself or with a couple of people. It will be a day well spent.

Hours of operation need to be updated. I went last weekend at 7am and it was empty. 1 worker just arriving told me that they dont open until 10am. Besides that, this place is amazing! So much to browse, lots of different merchandise hard to find in regular stores. Some shops are priced great, some priced way more than average. Great atmosphere, live music, great food, alcohol, everybody is friendly. I love shopping and spending time here.

Google
Santa Fe Springs is the place to be! Where everyone is getting along and enjoying themselves! Family friendly! My wife and I sat down to eat at La Cocina De Maria. I tried the carne asada and ham torta. Quite disappointed! You’re better off at the SF springs SWAPMEET snack bar!

Google
This swap meet is a pretty fantastic flea market for these fun events like concerts, seeing all the vendors, and eating good food.

It was a fun experience and definitely something to do. The shopping was not thete for me, but the entertainment live band, dancing and vibe made up for it!

Yelp
Date of visit: March 7, 2025 Selections: Lafufu (Fake Labubu) Bath and Body Works Hand Sanitizer Holders Baby bananas and blood oranges Experience: Been here a few times already with this past Friday being the most recent visit to the Swap Meet. Definitely was worried about the parking situation since it was a Friday night and we had gotten there a bit past 8:00pm with the main parking entrance being blocked and the subsequent entrances after that. I ended up doing a U-turn near the end of the road at the T-section to get into the only open entrance of the parking lot. Luckily, I was able to get parking right away after entering. We went through security after accidentally passing the entrance to the security/ticket booth area and made our way in after paying $8 for the both of us. We met up with my brother and his girlfriend by the stage, which is basically the center of the Swap Meet by the food court area. We made our way around the Swap Meet and stopping by any booths that caught our eye. My goal was to find a Lafufu and ended up getting one by the Lego mini figure vendor we usually buy things from. I also ended up getting some Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer holders that were shaped as an axolotl and light up turtle at a booth that had also the latest Disney Princess collection too. Finally we got some fruits from my brother and his girlfriend's go to vendor that let us try so much fruits before committing to our purchases. I always have fun coming here because you never know what you may find here. However, I do get spotty reception on my phone here, which makes it troublesome when I want to look up prices of things from other sources online before committing to certain purchases when I come to visit.

Yelp
Worth checking out if you're in the mood to walk around, but manage your expectations. There's a small entrance fee (Fri-Sun), but parking is free, which is a nice plus. Live music adds a fun, lively touch to the atmosphere. The vendor selection was hit or miss--some stalls were closed, and while there's a variety of items, not everything felt like a bargain. Prices ranged from moderate to surprisingly high. For instance, Nike shoes were $30-$40 more than on Nike's website, and a Hello Kitty makeup bag was $10 pricier than at Marshalls. It's a decent place to browse, do some people-watching, and maybe stumble on something unique. Just don't expect rock-bottom swap meet pricing.

Yelp
Animals are sold inside this swap meet but they have a no animals allowed policy. Make that make sense. Took a 30 minute drive to get to this place and was turned away. My "vicious" lol 10 pound chihuahua who was in stroler was not allowed in. Definitely not coming back. There is plenty of other dog friendly swap meets and night markets.

Yelp
Want to write about the Tuesday thru Thursday flea market swapper. It's definitely old school where vendors bring whatever they have! It's the best....Never know what treasures you'll come across. We'll be back.
google avatar

Mark S.

Yelp
Not really a swap meet or flea market. I would describe it as a Mexican tourist market. Lots of knock off clothing, some fruit and vegetable stands, candy, and plenty of cheaply made toys. The only positive may be the food stands, but I didn't test any of them.
google avatar

Jose M.

Yelp
This place has gone to crap It used to be a family oriented outing now if you want to go to the swapmeet you have to get Security screened with a metal detector wand and your purse searched Thank you but no thank you I'll stay home and listen to music
google avatar

Agustin R.

Yelp
Love this place me and my wife been coming here for years they always have live music and cold beer and plenty of shops to choose from and you always meet some cool different people
google avatar

Nikki V.

Yelp
If you have nothing to do, it might be fun to come and shop however, a-lot of vendors have the same things. We were seeing repetitive items and it got really boring. The weather was scorching hot and I felt like I was walking in circles. I don't recommend coming here unless you're either looking for lashes, cheap knock off shoes, and small misc that almost every booth has.

Yelp
They need to educate their Security people on the importance of Senior Citizens with disabilities & most importantly ones that are VETERANS with SERVICE ANIMALS. On Sunday 5/25/2025 my daughter & fiancé wanted to take my dad her grandfather to this swap meet the day before Memorial Day so my 91yr old disabled Army veteran dad to listen to the music and enjoy whatever the swap meet had for us to see. But we couldn't we were thrown out all bcuz my dad had his service dog with him along with carrying his certificate of proof of service. According to the ADA federal laws the Santa Fe Springs swap meet FAILED BIG TIME, not only did the security guys throw my dad out they were mean & rude telling my daughter when she asked why they're response was "We don't have to tell you why". It wasn't a day we ever expected to have to some coming from Rancho Cucamonga isn't a difficult drive but for my dad it is bcuz of his disabilities there are a lot of things that need to be done for his best interest & safety but then to be witness of seeing my disabled 91yr old American Army Veteran dad thrown out even before getting the chance to enter a public place was heartbreaking bcuz seeing the sadness in my dad's face & eyes is still painful to of seen how hurt my dad was. So they need to Educate their Security on the laws & on how to treat everyone especially our American Veterans that have & still do service the United States of America.

Yelp
Please update your website . Had to come here really early 5AM . And was told that we have to wait until 9 am after being told we have to be here at 5 for new vendors . Anyhow , very disappointed.

Yelp
This place is huge!! A lot of good shops and a lot of repetitive shops but it's people trying to make a buck which is good!

Yelp
Here on 8/16/24: Great find for a reasonable price. Bought boot cleaner, Stanley Cup for $30 while original price is $45. Checked out some birds. Bought come cool water machine guns for $10. Bought some delicious snacks This place is WAY, WAY, better then the outdoor I have to deal with in Las Vegas‍

Yelp
Love coming here to catch some bands. So much fun and great prices to enter. Huge swap-meet with lots to do/see/buy/eat as well. Recently we noticed that the cafeteria they had isn't there anymore. We assumed it was possibly being renovated. We'd buy food from there all the time. Now ya have to get stuff elsewhere on the grounds. No worries about parking there's LOTS of it btw. Also lots of tables to sit and watch the show if you can't stay standing for too long.

Denise F.

Yelp
Had a great Lots of stuff yo look at And buy. Lots of great food to buy and eat. The grounds are clean and people were friendly

Yelp
I've been here a few times. But it was my first time in a Friday night. I came to check it out and see how it is at night. The usual vendors. Clothes, accessories, decorations, snacks, music, families and plenty of walking lol I always have a good time here. Usually clean and a cool crowd. I don't see securities. Which can be a safety concern for some. Plenty of parking. And it's free. So that's cool. Admission was $3.50 I think. Maybe for Fridays. Either way, not much. I had a good time. I got a few things. I highly recommend this place to walk around. Plenty to see as well.

Yelp
"This the best swap meet" they said "you'll love it, trust me" is what they told me......... na rue! This swap meet wasn't for moi. They had some koo looking things but most of the stuff was the same. Candy stands, shirt stands, and mexican misc stuff every other stand. Don't get me wrong it was koo but its not what I like. I like to dig thru peoples junk and find little treasures or a rare item. They didnt have nothing like that here. In the middle of the swapmeet they had some music blasting but that music was rock of some sort, not my cup of tea at all. Parking was easy, the entrance was 2 dollars per person and it was free for my 2 year churrin. Honestly my favorite part there was the fish tacos. They were fire af!! Best fish tacos I've ever had to be honest with you. If you're visiting of stay near by check em out.

Yelp
I wish I could write and give five stars reviews all the time, unfortunately, like in life and the movies there is the good and the bad and the ugly. It was 9:07am and the parking lot was empty, first sign that something it's no adding up for a swapmeet. All the swapmeets I ever been are open to the public at 7:00am, meaning these early birds hard working vendors need to wake up at 4:00am to arrive and set up between 5:30am-6:00am, that is admirable. We walked through a metal detector and screening for weapons, the next stop is with this older lady that takes your money $3 per person to go in. For my surprise, almost every vendor spot was closed at 9:11am. We asked a super sweet vendor (the good) why were most of the shops closed, he said most of them come late but they arrive and open early because otherwise they get charged or penalized. If you like to sleep in and wake up at noon, this is perfect for you, me on the other hand, I'm a morning person and I rather go and support the hard working vendors that wake up early. We left at 9:25am and I asked the old lady at the front why she didn't tell us there were not that many vendor spots opened before taking our money and it also advertises that opens from 7:00am-5:00pm and she got very defensive (the bad). It almost turned into an argument but I never argue with people that has no integrity and I told her she can keep our money to buy more of her BS. We got the good, the bad, you can figure out who the ugly is.

Yelp
If you want vintage, don't come here, everything here is new , I didn't see anything used, also if u plan on bringing people with you, you better hope they pay their own entrance.

Yelp
Best $2.00 I spent all year. Where can you eat, drink, listen to music and buy pretty much anything all in one spot? Let me tell you, it's the Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet. Parking sucks unless you park way in the back in the off site lot and enter thru the back entrance. Most of the vendors are permanently stationed in their own space here. Plenty of fresh fruit, bakery items, candy, clothes, shoes, hats. They sell animals and an abundance of random things. I purchased some Croc charms at a $1.00 each, bulk candy bags at 3 for $10.00. I found a new hat and some things I didn't need. There is live music on weekends. The Doors cover band was what caught my attention. Pretty cool place to relax, get exercise and enjoy the sun. Food and drinks can be expensive.

Aliyah S.

Yelp
Every thing went well until I was walking around with my family and friends and I saw some man choke a women they where argue ing and the security was looking for him and the cops found the man and arested him for assault and me and security help the woman to her car
google avatar

Susan F.

Yelp
Great band, while a huge tv screen to watch the game on a Friday night. Huge swap meet. We felt safe with the security there. Much needed with the crowd it kept. Lots of choices to eat. Was impressed even though it's a rough neighborhood.

Gracie N.

Yelp
Swap meet although is nice for customers, is not so good in communication with the vendors. The website requires vendors to arrive by 7 am or earlier by 5 am to begin setting up and purchasing a booth. However upon arrival, no employees are there to let vendors in until 8 am, and even then no one is in the ticket booth or directing anyone. So if you are a vendor do not arrive early like the website, they don't let you in until 9 am or later. Vendor communication needs to improve and be updated on the website, vendors need to be taken into consideration for their dedicated time and effort to make the swap meet possible.
google avatar

Chelsea C.

Yelp
Fun day at the swap meet. Parking is plentiful. Only a few bucks to get in. They have drinks by the music venue. Music was fun. A lot of vendors except many sale the same stuff. Would encourage more variety and artisans for more product diversity. None the less an experience.
google avatar

Lindsey C.

Yelp
If your looking for different but super fun night out this place is it. So many different little shops, live music and beer! You only pay 4 dollar entree fee but completely worth it!
google avatar

Rosi C.

Yelp
Great place for music and bargain finds. Music on Friday nights and Sat nights Sun afternoons.....Sundays are my favorite!

Theresa Renee W.

Yelp
Had not been to the swampmeet in years. Figured getting Xmas gifts in 2021 was a good idea and easy. Easy access getting here with ample parking. Keep doors locked and thongs out of sight. As a safety precaution. Came on a Friday first thing in morning to beat the crowd. Entrance fee is less than 2.00 dollars please do not quote me on that ! I believe they have 2 entrances as well. What I did notice is that the food court was completely redone. New benches, seems more spacious. The day I came there was a band that was going to get ready to play. Groups anticipating the music to drown out the worries of the Pandemic. Even if it's for a few hours. They have numerous things here from clothes for everyone here, toys galore, plants, furniture, trinkets, car accessories, car alarms, stereos. It's a swampmeet.
google avatar

Jolie C.

Yelp
I went with Tyler yesterday to get vintage stuff the lady was selling Tupperware for $7.15 I can find those vintage Tupperware on Ebay for $16.00.
google avatar

Rox C.

Yelp
The place is kept clean, but seems to have the same type of booths throughout. Hadn't been here in a very long time, so I would say not the standard swap meet I was used to as a kid. What I will say is I heard music in the distance and that sounded great! Never quite made it over that way as I didn't seem to find what I was looking for. Nice walk around, but not really my cup of tea. Good for those that enjoy a nice walk and a little bit of shopping. Custodial, entrance and security staff were very friendly as well. Great service at the gate!
google avatar

Joey L.

Yelp
First time the family visiting this outdoor swapmeet. Kids enter free under a certain height. Adults on a Sunday entrance was $2.50. Parking is free. Not a bad place if you just want to walk around and get some steps in. Nice booths, miscellaneous items selling. Such as clothing, shoes, a little bit of everything. The food and drinks are overpriced. I purchased a pineapple beverage in a plastic cantarito for $13.00!!! I Can see it going for around $8, but $13 is overpriced. ‍ West comfortable shoes take your water if your going on a sunny day.
google avatar

Ambar R.

Yelp
Cool to shop as there's a lot of vendors but the food? Is highway robbery lol. It's 18$ for a burger and 15$ for 2 birria tacos. That's nuts. I wouldn't eat here again but I do like the shopping.
google avatar

Franco L.

Yelp
Hard to believe I haven't reviewed the Swap Meet. I've been coming here for years and it's always a fun shopping experience. There are row after row of vendors offering all your favorite swap meet items. The rows are wide and the area is clean. All the vendors are friendly and offer great swap meet prices. There's food and entertainment in the center of the shopping area. You can kick back on a Saturday and listen to a band and have some great food. Did I forget to mention they also sell alcohol. You can sip and shop here. For those who enjoy swap meets this is one to try. There's plenty of outside parking, it's inexpensive to get in and it's a family friendly environment.
google avatar

Marc S.

Yelp
The best place to watch a Dodger game by far! If you need anything - go there first to see if you could get a great deal before you go to a typical department store...
google avatar

Raquel L.

Yelp
Not for concerts. Attended the quebradita concert. Banda Machos Banda maguey Banda Zeta and Banda Movil. Great lineup. It was raining and what we thought was a canopy was only a net not adequate to stop the rain from getting to us. People opened their Umbrellas so at one point all we saw was black umbrellas in the air. My first time at this type of events. People do not respect your space and why do parents bring their young children to this type of events and in a rainy day? This blew my mind. People these events are nice and are meant to enjoy the music be conscious of the people around you. Yes dance and have fun just don't bump into other people trying to have fun and enjoy the music. Instead I was making sure inconsiderate concert goers would not step or kick me while dancing. Never again will I attend these concerts plenty of parking.
google avatar

Brian C.

Yelp
Disregard my review from 2021 This business has improved itself. Understanding the reason for security is to protect the patrons as well as the musical guests. As I observed there is no more knife or similar weapon vendors. This makes it family friendly place to go and enjoy music and shopping. Many times I have been there in late 2021 and this year. I enjoy the atmosphere I like the security they are more Understanding more friendly and customer service oriented. Again Disregard the former review this is the true important one this business is worth a day or night at.
google avatar

Rene B.

Yelp
I think the swap meet is great, this is about the concerts they charge for in the evenings, and because they keep deleting my post on social media . Overall, the lineup for the freestyle review ion March 16, 2024 seemed lackluster. Nice n Wild didn't perform, only their song was played by the DJ. Pretty Poison's performance felt like a lip-sync cover, and GQ's set was underwhelming. Debbie Deb brought some fun to the event, but the ticket pricing disparity, with some paying $30 while others paid over $100, felt like a shameful ripoff.
google avatar

Crystal G.

Yelp
You have no idea how long I've been trying to come to this place. I think it's been like 20 years. Tonight we watched a sublime cover band. Super cool. This is always been something cool to do on the weekends get your family go listen to some bands walk around and go shopping at night ! They do serve alcohol if you like . We definitely didn't stay long but I know got my steps in. For the wonderful price of $3.50 to enter and free parking this is definitely a five star activity. Here's some of my favorite finds.
google avatar

Mario S.

Yelp
What can I say about this swap meet. They host a good variety of music and they have bomb ass food. Grab yourself some beers while you shop and you'll leave with unnecessary stuff that you don't need. Trust me, i know. I left with two bunnies and a big ass luxury cage for them plus food. I regretted the next day after the hangover but the experience at the swap meet was priceless.
google avatar

Charlyann M.

Yelp
This swap meet has been around since I was a kid. We used to frequent it a lot. It had a photo booth, tins of food. But, some of the vendors are a little rough. They are selling spare car parts and random junk at a lot of the stalls. People love the food. There were even bands sometimes.
google avatar

Maryann A.

Yelp
Covid-19 protocols were followed. They take your temp before going in, everyone must be wearing a mask. They sell a mask at the pay window for a dollar if you don't have one. Plenty of vendors inside sell mask, antibacterial spray, and hand sanitizer. Don't necessarily trust their quality but I only came to see a customer. I did notice the upgraded stage and beer building with no cover band playing on a Friday night (canceled venue during Covid) They had amusement park style lines with chains so I guess it gets pretty packed to get a beverage...... or two. This review was specifically for my perception on the guidelines being followed for Coronavirus as per government mandate.

Yelp
They STEAL CARS!!!!!!! Attended an even July 27 arrive at 6:30ish and 2hours later "Someone/They" took my Kia car base of the cameras and wt management reffed to as "They" took it. When I realized my car was missing I ask Security in the front entrance and one lady ask others coworkers that I am the second person who can't find their vehicle. The fishy thing is that one of the security male was bragging abt how easy it is to steal Kia Cars gave my husband and friends details on how easy it is to accomplish this. Almost sounds like it could be an Inside thing from their own coworkers. After my husband and I talk to friends abt our situation. It turns out that one of their family member Also got their TRUCK stolen a few months ago from here also. People if you don't want your car stolen Don't Come Here. I understand it can happen anywhere but dam this place has a Reputation of missing cars. Yes we made a police report and there was video evidence also. Also warning advice we learn it would be a good investment to purchase Tags for vehicles because we never know when Theif will target next. This is just my experience and warning future ppl.

Yelp
I love the ambiance here. It's a family friendly place with food, music and shopping. It makes a great family outing with lots to see. It's also a great place for music entertainment. I really enjoyed seeing people of all ages dancing, singing, and generally just having a fun time.
google avatar

Don W.

Yelp
Very disappointed on how they treat you with your service dog! 1st they have a million questions to see if they want to let you in or not!Even after letting them know they can get in trouble for denying your service dog answer was "yeah no" I don't think you should be questioned even when you show the service tag! It's like questioning a disabled person their handicap when using the permit! Maybe they should get sued for discrimination!

Edith N.

Yelp
Always a fun time here. The vibe is always good, with live music and all. They have some delicious hot dogs and they also sell beer.
google avatar

Sarah C.

Yelp
We love coming to the Santa Fe Springs Swap Meet. But I do wonder whether the man controlling the audio is suffering hearing loss. It makes sense to crank up the music at night for the concerts, but there's no reason to have it that loud during the day.
google avatar

Nikki O.

Yelp
I can't believe I have never been here especially because it is so close to home. You can find so much stuff at a great price. Lots of different vendors for all types of stuff. Whether you are looking for decor for your home, a comic enthusiast, sports fanatic, or looking for apparel; you will find it here. They also have various cover bands that perform. We got to see one that night we came and they were doing a tribute to the Red Hot Chili Peppers. The band was great and sounded great too. Definitely get here early though because it gets busy. We got there when they first opened so got a great parking up front and did our shopping and were out by the time the crowd started coming in. Make sure you bring cash because some vendors only accept cash and you can sometimes negotiate to get a better price or deal.
google avatar

Yelp
My dog "Fresa" loves to come shopping with mom!! Service dogs only!! Be respectful of the beautiful fur babies that are shopping with us. PS- she also loves the little pet store!!

Yelp
Had so much fun Friday night dancing the night away to The Cure's cover band The Curse!! I had no idea that this place had a really nice stage and outdoor seating area. The entrance fee to the swap meet was $3 and the show was free!! We arrived early before the show started and grubbed on their famous street dogs! They were overflowing with grilled onions and roasted whole jalapenos! So good! After dinner, we walked over to the venue area and got a good seat and we were ready for the show. They have several beer carts selling a variety of beers ($13) and I had to get a mango cart michelada! The beer was a good 24once pour! The band was really good and the acoustics were great for being outdoors! Everyone was having a good time and I can't believe the band played for 4 hours straight!! What a treat!

Rebecca P.

Yelp
Love coming here since I was a kiddo. Really fun to just walk around, shop, drink, eat food ! Love the menudo

Yelp
Whack! If you say doors open at 7 and you get here at 8:30 and everything is still closed, what's the point? Drove from far, won't come back. Bye.
