Never knew about this place but happy to have experienced it. Heard about The Evil Dead musical on the radio and quickly purchased tickets. Very entertaining! If only they needed someone that has never acted and can't sing because it looks like fun. Lol

Oh, I’m an experienced big city theatergoer and I’m impressed with what this little Civic Theatre comes up with. They pick great material, and the actors are just fabulous. I saw “Date Night” night recently, and it was top - notch. Great talent. Very enjoyable experience!

Have recently started going here and loved it. Been back several this year. Grease was the last play I saw and it was excellent!!!!!!. Full Monty is still my favorite. Enjoy the audience too. Everyone is friendly and kind.

I have been to several shows from fairy tale theater productions to adult plays. They're all professional and fun. It's an intimate theater where the audience is always appreciated and treated like honored guests. I highly recommend it!

Community Theater is a great way to spend a few hours with friends, the folks who put on these productions do it for love of the art. Great entertainment for a bargain. Just go, you'll love it!

Google
Great acting and direction. Parking is limited, on street only, so arrive early. Theater is in an old neighborhood but quite nice and intimate. No more than 100 seats. Good acoustics.

Yelp
"Ride the Cyclone", the musical was excellent! The cast and director were top notch! We had seats in the front row! Please see this play, you won't regret it

Yelp
This is a very good local community theater company. I just did my first production with them - Young Frankenstein. Yes, it's true, they don't have their own parking lot. They should have purchased a neighboring lot way back in the day when the neighboring lot was vacant. But at the time, there was hardly a problem. Plan ahead. Arrive early. Buy your ticket online through Brown Paper Tickets and you should have no problem getting in. The neighborhood is humble - get over it. I would definitely see other shows there even when not cast in them. If they had more money, they might be able to put on better looking shows, but you don't need endless amounts of cash when what really matters is the acting and the enjoyment of watching people perform.

Yelp
Didn't get to go in for my show. Parking to the area is residential, street only. I got there 20 minutes early and couldn't find a place to park. Ended up having to park far away in a shady area of the neighborhood and walk to the venue. Showed up at the door 5 minutes before the show and was tuned away because they were at capacity. If you want to see a show here, take parking in to account. Well try again next time.

Yelp
Was up in the Santa Maria area visiting the In-Laws and we had a date to see Opal's Husband. Here's how we did..... This theater is very unique and I believe one of the ushers said it seats up to 100 guests. The theater house sits in between 2 residences, and is on a single lot itself. I was told that the property was donated to SMCTW by General Electric and that GE used it as an old switchboard house. I thought that was so cool. They have a small place to get refreshments and an outside area to sit if you get hot inside. We saw a play that had 5 or 6 actors in it. The story was cute and the actors were fun. All in all I had a really great time. The entertainment was good and the company even better. Will I again?.... I'd love to whenever were up in the area

Yelp
What a great season. First there was Seussical the musical, then a wild version of A Christmas Carol. I can't wait for Humble Boy and Steel Magnolias.

Yelp
Have had season tickets for this local theatre for many years and never a regret. The latest performance of "The Dixie Swim Club" is incredibly funny, thought- provoking and entertaining. It's a shame the very talented and skilled actors and production all around didn't have a standing room only (if permitted) audience last Friday. They certainly deserve it and I'll be going again with my girlfriends! What a bargain, too.

Yelp
True, it's hard to compete with PCPA. And I understand that as a smaller theater it has to be a little more difficult to draw in actors and even an audience... I went to several shows last season and can honestly say I was only impressed with one. The other shows were either great scripts with a mostly bad cast or a bad script with a promising cast. I hope this next season is better.
